What a pearl of a restaurant. Very beautiful atmosphere outside (might need to bring a jacket) and spectacular seasonal and fresh food! Highly recommend. The appetizers, pizzas and ceasar salad were spectacular.

We had a microwedding in Southwest Harbor ME and I am so happy we found Sweet Peas for our catering!! Their food was delicious and our families continue to talk about how much they loved the meal to this day! Their bar tender, La, made the best espresso martinis we had ever had- using Sweet Pea’s espresso! Christian was so helpful leading up to and at the event- answering my many many questions leading up to the day. Everything was plated and presented so beautifully. We literally couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Sweet Peas!!

Great atmosphere. Caesar salad was very good. Pizza came out 20 minutes after another pizza at the table. His had a lot of toppings, mine barely had any. No consistency

Amazing place with a great atmosphere! We had the Plowman pizza and blueberry ale, delicious! They welcome well behaved dogs. Our next visit we will allot more time as they have a lot to offer

Sweet Pea’s is the best food you can get in Bar Harbor! The service is great and sitting outside surrounded by their beautiful garden is a wonderful experience.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Food was excellent, service superb, setting was gorgeous. Would have come here multiple times if we found it earlier in our stay. The patio with lights, overlooking their garden and field was stunning. They provide blankets while you wait and eat. Fire pit in the evening. Quick service. Kid friendly, can walk around their garden and grounds while you wait.

Everything about Sweet Pea’s was excellent, especially the front of house team. The service was superb. I dined alone sitting at the bar and felt welcomed by everyone I interacted with. I chatted with the bartender who had made a special hot cider with rum that was incredible. All the food was fresh from the garden, definitely worth a visit (or two) when visiting the island. It will be first on my list when I come back.

You just cant beat the food and the ambience at Sweet Pea's! Outdoor seating is an excellent option as well. The entire staff is friendly and the service is outstanding. This place must be on your list of restaurants to visit....you'll be back for more no doubt.

Beautiful location and delicious food. Service phenomenal, especially given how busy they were. Really appreciated the flexibility of our hostess when she pivoted quickly upon being told a member of our party couldn’t sit on a bench (bad back) - despite the crowd and being so busy, she accommodated our request for a different table without disruption to the other waiting patrons.

Set on a local farm, this restaurant lives up to its farm to table moniker. The ingredients are super fresh and the food is delicious. The ambience is even better with tables located in close proximity to an open field and garden. Our kids loved being able to freely roam the grounds while we enjoyed drinks and waited for our food! Super family friendly but also would be a romantic spot for dinner. Highly recommend!

The BEST food you’ll eat in Downeast Maine. They have a farm and garden where they grow much of what’s on the menu so the vegetables actually have flavor! We got local oysters, roaste veggies and a pizza. There will be a wait but we snuck into the bar and dined there where we met several locals, which is a great sign! Loved this place so much and will recommend it to everyone I know visiting Bar Harbour.

The pizza, salad and special were all delicious. We arrived early and there was a line to be seated so be prepared for that. I would definitely go back.

What an excellent place to relax and eat after a full day of Acadia hiking!

The portions were extremely small, extremely expensive. It was a hour wait. 14 dollars for 3 meatballs is insane. Are total bill was 130 dollars after a couple drinks for me and my wife and we were still hungry afterwards.

Situated on a beautiful farm. Mostly outdoor seating protected from rain. Friendly dogs are very welcome. Very friendly staff. Really tasty vegan pizza.

My sister had her wedding reception here. The staff were wonderful! Took care of setup while we were getting ready for her day. The pizza was out of this world delicious! They had some awesome variety of pizza. My father who is a picky eater even said how good it was! The atmosphere was quiet and elegant. I will definitely be stopping in for a pizza take out order on my next trip up! I loved they had a garden to walk through in the back!

We love everything about Sweet Pea’s. Their commitment to local ingredients. Their perfectly balanced flavors. Their warm hospitality. The lovely gardens and outdoor seating. Their dedicated staff. We had the Ranger, Harvester, and Hunter pizzas. We could not pick a favorite. Each was its own unique amazing culinary experience. Best pizza we have had in maybe forever.

As a foodie this is one of our favorite restaurants in the area, enough so that we have celebrated special occasions such as my birthday last year here. We would come even more if there were more vegan protein options on the regular menu such as a vegan meatball dish instead of or in addition to the regular meatballs and/or some kind of vegan protein special on the regular such as the amazing tofu dish we had once. Providing some kind of vegan dessert that isn't just a water based sorbet would also take things up a notch since none of the desserts are currently vegan/gf. Wonderfully quaint venue, some indoor by mostly outdoor seating, small wait but the food was fantastic. We had the wood oven pizza and it was great. The service was also outstanding.

This place is amazing! Elegant outdoor garden seating and excellent food. They were super busy when we came for dinner and all the wait staff were still kind, calm, and efficient.

This is a little gem! The food is super-fresh and well crafted. The staff is incredibly attentive despite the busy summer crowd. The lobster pizza surprised me in a good way. And, oh, that chocolate beer cake...it was fantastic!!!

A must eat experience while vacationing in Bar Harbor!!!

Our best meal during our week in Bar Harbor. We tried a number of different places for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week from lobster shacks to high-end dining. This was easily the best place we ate at while we were the there. To start, the service was fantastic. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Really as good as it gets. The food was varied, creative, delicious and plentiful. The hummus plate was elevated, the pizzas were diverse and yummy, the drinks were creative and all the sides were very tasty. We ordered too much but ate it over the next couple of days. For all that, fairly reasonable prices. Oh and the ambience was great. A little hot for us inside. So, I would recommend sitting outside if possible but still a not-to-be-missed place to eat. A word of advice though - get there early!! We were there just after 5pm and were glad. It filled up quickly after that.

The Caeser salad was incredible and they serve a carrot dipping sauce for the pizza crust which needs to catch on at more places.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Sweet Pea’s and Christian was helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning process. The venue and setup were beautiful and the staff was so friendly! We received multiple compliments from our guests about the delicious food and wonderful service. We could not have asked for a better reception.

Wow, this place was so good. The outdoor ambiance is so relaxing- elegant and rustic but not enough to make you feel out of place after a day of hiking-- and the pizza was out of this world. Light and fresh and savory. I had the ranger and it was excellent.

We had a group of 13 for my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner and had a great experience here! The food was amazing, the staff was so helpful, and the atmosphere was great. Will absolutely return when I'm back in the area!

This is our favorite restaurant on Mount Desert Island the pizzas delicious and creative. All food is freshly made to order. They strive for True Farm to Market freshness and they are true to their core. The best part for me about this restaurant is the people who work there are the nicest I have ever met in any restaurant

Wonderful place !!! The food was delicious. We ordered Caesar salad, pizza, meat balls which I highly recommend along with the oysters which were delicious. I loved the atmosphere, the decoration, definitely another way to enjoy your meal outdoors. The service was very good, luckily we got a seat as soon as we arrived since the place seems to be very popular, there were many people waiting for a seat.

Loved Sweet Pea Farm!! This is a must do if you are in the Bar Harbor area. The pizza was so good and they have fantastic cocktails. We sat outside on the patio and the view of the acreage/farm was gorgeous.

I absolutely love this place. The character and artistic way its built, the garden and outdoor seating and how rustic it is. Absolutely fantastic and cheerful staff. Food was spot on. I had the chicken pizza, kale and rhubarb pie which was not overly sweet. It was that perfect savory sweet, light and delicious. The pizza had this dipping sauce for the crust, so so good.

Very fresh ingredients and a stellar pizza. Outside seats were a great overall experience.

The best restaurant in and around Bar Harbor! They truly care about the taste and quality of their farm-to-table food, and it shows. Everyone is super friendly, the meals are absolutely phenomenal, and the ambiance is magical! Love the lush scenery! This place is a definite must when visiting Bar Harbor. Beautiful dining experience with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The back patio was a little breezy but there are adorable blankets that the staff offered unprompted. The pizzas are just the right size for two people to share; the ingredients are local, fresh and cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to visit again.

You can taste the “farm fresh” in the food. I stopped in for an early dinner in May. Green salad with chicken and a glass of Pinot Noir against a tranquil coastal-country backdrop did the trick. Staff is cool and music is tasteful as well.

The vibes at this place are amazing. The staff is so welcoming, casual and kind, the setting is beautiful, and the food is delicious and so well-priced (we were expecting to pay more)! We kept saying we wish Sweet Pea’s was in our town :)

If I could give Sweet Pea's 10 stars I would! We had our micro-wedding and ceremony on the farm and it made for the most magical day I could have ever dreamed of. Christian was so assuring and easy to work with in terms of planning the afternoon. The food is incredible--fresh salads, locally sourced veggies and meats on pizzas, tastiest oysters and delicious baked desserts. The drinks were refreshing and infused with herbs from their garden. Everything here felt so wholesome, warm, friendly, and inviting. Thank you Jon (+ staff) for taking care of us on our special day! We can't wait to return next year.

Went here for an early dinner after a long day of hiking and fishing in Acadia. Location is so nice! We sat on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon. Food was great. We started with the farm salad, which was delicious. The watermelon radishes garnished on top were so good. We then got a daily special of hush puppies with pecorino and a sauce. All of it was good, but the sauce really stole the show. We then got The Hunter pizza. It was delicious. Finished up with a trio of cookies, which was great. Only wished we had discovered this place earlier than our last day of vacation as we would have gone again. Will definitely plan to visit if we find ourselves up in this area in the future though!

Absolutely beautiful spot! We have been coming to MDI for years during the summer and Sweet Pea’s is a staple especially when you eat lobster each night up here! Lots of pizza options! As an individual allergic to both gluten and dairy plenty of options with the specials! The meatballs are gluten free and delicious! I don’t remember last time I had meatballs that were gluten free! Seafood is fresh and delicious!

gracious service (many thanks to Di 🫶🏻), tantalizing cocktails & you can taste the love in every bite … we indulged with the daily pizza special, the plancha pots , cuke salad, meatballs, veg, cheesecake … starting to drool now … so, will keep this short. location is away from the (( noise )) and highly encourage to sit outside in the garden 🌿 hands down, my favorite restaurant in Bar Harbor.

Food was very good. Atmosphere was awesome. Service was horrible. Our waitress took our order of food, and we all wanted water after a long day hiking. She even said we were her easiest table of 8….kind of snarky. She dropped off 2 pitchers of water and never came back to the table. We had to order an extra pizza from the food runner who brought out our dinner. And that was incorrect too. Had to go to hostess stand to get and pay our bill. I told the owner our waitress disappeared and we needed the bill. All she cared about was how our food was. Expect a long dinner service. Almost 1.5 hrs for food and closing out of check. (Just pizza)

We love the picturesque property as well as the food! Our server was busy but pleasant and helpful. The milk stout was amazing, as was the bourbon maple cocktail. We enjoyed snacking on the fried chickpeas, and enjoyed three types of pizza. The crust was thin and so good, with an interesting variety of toppings. We shared the chocolate beer cake dessert - perfect ending to a lovely dinner.

My friends and I stopped here for dinner on Friday and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was our favorite part—adorable patio, lights, music, and happy (but busy) staff. The drinks were unique and the pizza was tasty.

One of the best places to get food and hang out on MDI. Family comes back every year and we never miss a stop at sweet peas. The food is always delicious and sourced locally, great drinks, incredible service, and the atmosphere is awesome.
