We were here for a freinds memorial service, and they were very gracious and accommodating.

Good table games and an excellent poker room. Good daily tournaments and friendly staff. A fun place.

Great place to go play poker. The staff are friendly and professional. They offer all ranges of price games. But what I enjoy is they have tournaments at buy in prices so go over take a chance have fun.

This was only the fourth time here since our Australian cruise. Today was finally a lucky day. After playing for a couple of hours, I was thinking I f leaving up about $80. I was dealt pocket queens. This was around 6 or 7 hands with pockets. You need to play two cards in your hand for a high hand. This wasn't a high hand here, but I did river the queen for a nice full house. About 6 or 7 hands later, I was dealt pockets of aces. This time, I flopped an ace. Then the turn was another for my high hand. I love playing poker here.

This is nothing but " legal" torture and slavery.

Never had been to a race but I sure enjoyed it with our friends when on vacation.

I Absolutely Love This Place. I always have a great time, make a little money!! and have a great meal. The blackened salmon was absolutely DELICIOUS 😋 And the new covering on the patio is the best new addition while watching the horses live and outside. Now we can only have more live dates for the summer 🌞

Came for the 150th Kentucky Derby.Visited this horse race track for the first time and I really appreciate the experience. I bet a little, won a little and lost a little.

Tampa Bay Downs is a great place to spend an afternoon. You can purchase a Groupon beforehand to save money. Betting is always an option but it's fun to just watch the races. Would like to especially mention what an asset that Katie in the downstairs Nathan's snack bar is. She always greets us with a friendly smile as she is efficiently serving all the customers at the snack bar. This snack bar happens to serve the very best French Fries in the world!!!!!

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is $3 to enter. Wednesday is free. Imo a great place to enjoy a pleasant day. Maybe even win some money.

Food was good, horses were amazing, staff not so much. Way they made people wait for almost an hour to eat. Don't like that set up. I would go again, but not as a large group.

Went on a Wednesday with a group from our 55+ community. Sat in tge club level and had a great meal. Stayed for all 9 races. Terrific day. Won enough to break even.

Went to Tampa Downs for a group event & had a blast! I did terrible picking the horses, but the facility, the staff & food were amazing & we had a great time. They had set up a buffet for our group that was delicious. We will return often.

Don't let the outside, front of the building scare you away. Inside is very clean and hopping, with tons of options for seats, food and drinks everywhere. My wife and I walked all over and kept coming across great spots with tables all over. And everyone there is super friendly and welcoming!

We had a wonderful time today. The Sky Terrace was culinary gem. I loved the gumbo, and the cuban pork. The races were fun and the service was over the top. I was fortunate enough to get a tour of the multiple kitchens from Chef Alcocer. He was 1 of my gifted instructors from Art Institute of Tampa. Its 1.5 hours from home, but we will be back.

It was my first time at the Tampa racetrack; We wanted to sit in the covered restaurant on the 3rd floor thinking it was going to be more exclusive. To our surprise, it was practically empty, the food buffet was very popular, we only tried the lobster bisque which was very delicious and the crab shoulder cream very salty; The a la carte menu showed different food than what was offered online… we ordered 2 burgers that I would not order or recommend again. Definitely, with this great weather it is worth enjoying the races outside, there are food stalls on each floor, and I think it is more enjoyable

Always so much fun… Wednesdays are free- just remember to bring your own pen they charge $1. The programs are $2 and the drinks are cheap. We are the pulled pork nachos? That were absolutely amazing.

My first experience at a race track. It was fun watching horses, races, and interacting with others. People freely and proudly shared ideas on how to wager and which horse or jockey was the best. Although none of the suggestions helped me win, the excitement of the crowd can be contagious. There are accomodations inside and out. Covered and uncovered. We were in an enclosed party room with dedicated cashier, buffet, and private bathrooms. The room was clean but very cold. The food was just so-so. The line for the cashier could be long and slow when too many people had questions. The problem is that you cannot place a bet after the horses start racing. There are many cashiers outside of the party room of course. Those cashiers and people in line were very inpatient with those of us who didn't know how to wager. There should have been dedicated people to help with that - or an explanation of terms in the booklet we received. There are also computers available. You can buy a quick pick similar to the lottery. I don't care to gamble much but I enjoyed the interactive race track experience much more than the isolation of a slot machine.

Our party of 10 had a great day at the races. The staff was friendly and helpful, there was plenty of seating, and enough time between each exciting race for us to visit and enjoy each other's company. If the Groupon deal is active be sure to take advantage of a great deal as well!

This place is pretty great! The track viewing area is massive and free or $3 depending on the day. The staff taking bets is polite and they help you if you don't know how to bet. And they have plenty of betting windows instead of forcing you to a machine like a lot of racetracks do. The poker room is much better than the Orlando-area poker rooms. They actually provide free soda/water and have very reasonably priced food. Love the daily tournaments too.

We go to St Petersburg Beach. We always like to have a day at the track. It's not a bad drive. The facility is well laid out. So it's a pleasant experience.

It's a great local race track to check out. It is not that crowded, easy access to parking. Food and drinks are easy to get and prices were very reasonable.

We live spending a day at Tampa Bay Downs! We’ve twice taken advantage of a good deal on GroupOn. Live racing is fun. Betting is enjoyable, even if I’ve never won. Plenty of clean restrooms available. Great way to spend a day with friends and family.

Beautiful day at the track. An attractive turf course, a standard dirt oval, and plenty of hospitality options for viewing racing on site, simulcast racing, and playing poker/cards. The entry fee and program costs are minimal, and even less if you buy them in advance on one of the coupon sites. Friendly staff.

The food is awesome! The Philly Cheese steak, fish, and French Fries were delicious!

Pretty fun place to enjoy a day at the races. There are the opportunities to walk around and see the horses in the paddock area, see the jockeys mount the horses and watch them head to the track. It is a small enough facility where you can do all that and still head near the track or make a wager if you want to. There are spots to stand near the track rail, some benches to sit outside near the track, or sit upstairs under cover to see both the dirt and grass track along with monitors too. I have gone on Fridays a couple different times and this info is from my visits on the weekday. I have had some food and drink and it has been good both times with the limited items that I tried and prices are somewhat reasonable. It may be different on a Saturday or special race days. If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to go and enjoy the races I definitely recommend it.

There is nothing like the thrill of live horse racing!

We came to the Downs as a group of 18. We had Hollywood Lou as our server and he was the absolute best. It was my first time and Lou was excellent explaining how betting works and the food was very good. Would definitely visit again, it was alot of fun!!!

They have the best poker room around. People are very friendly. They have a lot of options for hold em players. Love it!

My 2nd time here and I've had a blast both times! Very clean and nicely laid out. Plenty of betting machines and they give you time to bet in between races. A few different places to get food. Nothing fancy but food is food and the fries are really good. Bartenders have been on top of things both times, which I appreciate when you want to get back to you seat and watch the race. Groupons for it, too. I'll, definitely, be going back.

I enjoyed a nice visit both times I went. Very happy it is so close and easy to get to, with ample free parking. Small, so it's easy to get around to different areas. I like that it's not crowded so I can get close to where horses are saddled and jockeys get on. However, I miss having a better view of the horses like I did at various tracks up north, esp Monmouth Park. Being able to look into their separate sections was a fav thing to do. TBD's layout has people on the side of that, so you only see when they're out of it, can't look straight in. Only part of where the horses walk in a circle/oval before going to the track is in front of people. The good trade-off is less people so no fight for a spot to view from. 😊 I hadn't been to a racetrack in over a decade, so with TBD so close I'm now planning to go monthly (went 2 of 3 so far). Horses, races, and Bloody Marys will be my pleasure.🏇🏽🍹🥒🏇🏽👍🏽 Tip: Bloody Marys are better from the main bar downstairs as they include pickle spear, celery, and olive. Plus the bartender I had both times is nice (I forgot her name right now). A place upstairs did not have veggies but charged the same price, and weren't as lively.
