great atmosphere, great beer and food!!! good place!!!

Was pleasantly surprised at how solid this place was. There were a couple darker beers I tried but the dessert was the highlight. Worth dropping by if you need a place to eat and chat.

Yesterday was my first visit. Went with friends that recommended the place. I ordered the fish and chips entrée and it was - no exaggeration - the worst I've even had. The fish was much smaller than I expected for the price and it looked like it had been cooked, taken out of the fryer, then dunked in some oil and put on top of the fries. Like, there was literally oil all over it and running out of the bottom of it onto the fries. I peeled all the saturated batter off it with my fork and ate about half of the fish, which was then as plain-tasting as can be. Only ate about half of the fries, too, as those that were under the fish were oily to the point of being inedible. Pretty sure they were also frozen/from a bag, as there were lots of little pieces/slivers mixed in. Maybe a fluke, but it was downright gross - and $19 plus tax and tip ($24.23). If I hadn't been there with three other people that all got their food at the same time - I definitely would have sent it back or just ordered something else. Beer and service were good enough for me to leave two stars, rather than one, though. P.S. Thinking about it, even if it had been good, it's still rather pricey for one relatively small piece of fish and some fries from a bag. Even if it had been good, I wouldn't order it again. My $0.02... Edit/update: In response to comments from Wild Rover... I eat a good bit of fish, like three times in the last three weeks, and sometimes more than that. I took pictures of the last three times. Here’s more fries, which are fresh/house-made and more fish for $12 at Square Grouper. More fries, which are fresh/house-made, and more fish for $15 at Front Porch (they just increased from $14 to $15). Fries, three hushpuppies, and way more fish for $10.99 at Blue Sea. And, all of this was far better than yours. I stand by my words that yours is the most expensive I’ve ever gotten, the fries were from a bag, and the one relatively-small piece of fish for the price was terrible. I regret that I didn’t take a picture of yours…

Not a cheap place, Spent $180. For food that was not worth that much. Then I woke up the next morning and they charged me $260 and the receipt definitely said $180. The only good thing to mention was the waitress was super nice and friendly.

Awesome band but he said “owner Phil “or the guy in the front checking in the tickets before you coming in to see a band is very rude don’t aloud you to buy food if you are on standing seats and that is not described before you buy the tickets service good but very bad management.

Exceptional service! I had a fantastic experience. From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations. They are friendly and knowledgeable, the quality of their products/services was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I highly recommend coming here and trying Wild Rover out!

I was there today the food was okay the waitress brought 12 chicken wings and I ordered six and I pushed him aside and the 6 came the waitress said the 12 won't be on your table because they're already at the table just the 6th when I got my bill to 12 or on the tablet to 6:00 and I asked the manager about it and he said to me since I have an American flag shirt on I don't get a free lunch pay for it that's all I can tell you he didn't care if I was there or not there he was a total idiot

Nice, family-owned restaurant with attached brewery and a strong British undercurrent. The beers were good but not as aggressive as most American craft beers. The service was pleasant and the chips were good. I was not convinced by my vegetarian choice and the waitress was very apologetic and offered several ways to accommodate my palate but I had filled up on chips and brussel sprouts and she took the vegetarian meal of the check.

Usually have a great time here. Last visit however, we really felt uncomfortable, the hospitality was really lacking and the menu seems to have changed somewhat. Really hope this was a one off experience and that its not starting to decline in quality as its usually my family's favorite place to eat.

The food was delicious. Comfort bar food. Great wings!!! Super spinach dip. The atmosphere could an update and maintenance. Overall friendly staff and experience.

Order ‘The Yorkie’ followed by ‘Banoffee pie’. If very hungry start things off with the scotch egg. Excellent pub - I moved here 12 years ago from Scotland and this place is legit 🍻

Terrible customer service and rude bartender. I have never been treated so poorly in an eating/drinking establishment and it wasn’t overly busy. Don’t bother going to this dump. Update: Owner Theo isn’t interested in receiving criticism to help improve his business. He’s pretty comfortable blaming the customer. Move on from this place…

Started with " no seats in Sports Bar, so park it over there" looked in the sports bar area 4 or 5 empty tables. Waitress said have a seat, then sat 5-8 minutes with no one asking for drink order. Asked a different waitress for a black and tan, 3 of them please. Same bartender that told us to "park it" said he wasn't making them now. Poor service, not sure why he was so rude. We asked politely to sit in the Sports Bar. He was rude, won't go back again.

It was a terrible experience. We were rudely told to “park it”’at a table in the corner. We preferred the bar area so I asked a waitress if we could take an open table and she said yes. After sitting down for 15 minutes and watching everyone else being waited on we asked a waitress as she walked by if we could place a drink order. We ordered whatever they were currently using for black and tans. 5 minutes later she came back and said that they are not currently serving black and tans. Decision made by the same rude guy who told us to park it! We walked out and might never return! Too bad, we wanted to support a local pub

Food was decent but owner ruined the evening. Was overly belligerent and extremely rude. Cursing and threatening some people in our party, for absolutely no reason. Complete drunken fool! Updated... To respond to the message below from the restaurant which is completely false. The "children" were a group of 14 and 15 year old boys that were sitting and watching the dolphins game. We were in the sports bar area, there were only 2 other people at the bar, the belligerent man who said he was the owner a few times with a couple and us parents who tripled the amount of boys. They were not acting in any manor that you state. The boy which he felt the need to threaten and curse at was on his way to the bathroom and noticed a jar of marmalade or jelly on the bar. Simply picked it up to look at it when the "owner" told him to put it the F down, don't touch anything or I will throw you the F out. And continued to curse and threaten him. The boy apologized and went to the bathroom. Soon after as we were leaving, the boy walking by with his mom was cursed at again for no reason by him. His mother and him exchanged words where he cursed at her as well. Again stating he was the owner. Previous reviews show the same content. If he is a patron maybe you should consider putting him in a corner as to no act like a complete jerk. Our "entire party" was not from South Florida. A good portion of us were locals that had recommended your establishment, and they apologized to us for that disgusting interaction. Not sure they will be back.

UPDATE- the response from this establishment is a lie. 1) Kids were not disruptive, they were enjoying a football game. 2) There were several adults with the kids 3) you can’t justify yelling and cursing to a minor. If you need to address a situation, you talk to an adult. No need to yell or curse. 4) When Leaving the establishment, the OWNER yelled and cursed at me and my son. My son was walking leaving the restaurant with me. OWNER followed us outside. 5) Waiter apologized for the behavior of the owner 6) PLENTY reviews also had the same experience. Reviews say that Owner yelled and cursed at kids. Apparently happens all the time. It’s simple, you don’t yell at a child. If you don’t like kids, make your establishment 21 and over. Like I said, horrible experience and justifying cursing to a minor is despicable. Drunk owner yelled and cursed at my 14 yr old son. Horrible place. Do not go.

Kitchen can get overwhelmed pretty easily lately. Hope they can get back to the good old days.

I was very disappointed with the customer service displayed by the manager on New Years Eve 2023. I got delayed and did not arrive until 7:30PM for the show. *He refused to sell me a ticket for the show*. It was not crowded (I counted 15 cars), and I would have paid cash. I thought he could have shown more flexibility.

We did the murder mystery dinner. It was fantastic!!! What a wonderful night. You must go!!!

Haley said it was her first night but she must be pulling our leg! She was an awesome waitress and took care of us all night. She came back often enough to check that we had anything we needed but left us alone to enjoy each other’s company and the food. The food was yummy, we had chicken curry naan tacos and chicken cutlet sandwich. It was so good we didn’t make it to dessert and I LOVE bread pudding. We will be back!

Came here for a tea party on Saturday and we had a blast! The food was great and the people were wonderful, a great comfortable way to get out of my comfort zone haha

very cool restaurant ....it really doesn’t look like a restaurant till you get inside. Multiple seating options, live band, high tea on Sunday. Food was good. Service was excellent. good place to get dinner or just go and have drinks.

Stoped there with 8 other friends for a birthday party. Had to ask for our drinks 30 minutes after waiting. The manager said there was an issue with the POS device and the connection to the bartender/cooks. Half the food came out wrong and half the food did not come out at all. The waitress had to re ask orders from the guest I was with after waiting for food for an hour... bad experience for my first time... Update: I had left and my friends where still there. I did my review from the car not thinking there would be repercussions from leaving a review. Because we where a large group and the review was descriptive the owner came outside to confront us for the bad review. The owner was hot and ready to fight. My friends had to talk him down.

I really enjoyed this place and will be coming back to try tea time.

So after the THIRD time not getting my to-go orders right I’m not going to frequent your business. One would think when you are paying 18.00 for a lunch meal SOME quality assurance would be in place. I shouldn’t have to check my order EVERY TIME!! To consistently not get the same order correct tells me you have no interest in customer service. Food is good, people are friendly, and first Friday karaoke is well done and a lot of fun.

I ordered the lovely Rita and it was very good. The grilled cheese was very thick. The macaroni was amazing. This is a fun place to go to to watch a game or go to a concert.

Great food and atmosphere! We ordered the steak and ale pie and the Cornish pasty - both delicious!

We enjoyed our quick stop in at Wild Rover, and we were also surprised to discover that it’s more than just a brewery. They have a decent menu selection of English plates, along with a full bar serving wine and cocktails in addition to their brews. I came for the beer and tried their Locomotive Breath, a smooth Irish Red nitro that was really great. My fiancé had The Isabella, a cocktail that she also enjoyed. There are two sides to Wild Rover - a sports bar and a more traditional restaurant style side with booth seating. There’s also an outside area with a decent amount of seating as well. Our bartender was friendly and very attentive. One point I think they could change/improve would be to add prices on their drink menu. Neither the printed cocktail menu nor the online draft menu listed prices. While the beers I had were $7 and change, the cocktails turned out to be $15. Had we known the price, we would have just ordered all beer. We really enjoyed the drinks so it wasn’t enough for us to knock off a star, but you may want to ask before ordering a cocktail.

Impeccable food and service! Highly recommend!!

My wife and I went there on Thursday for comedy night and it was very disappointing. The comedians were terrible, no wonder there were only five or six people there. Before the show, we ordered fish and chip, and coconut shrimp. The shrimp was good but the fish and chip was not. The potato wedges were white, not golden brown as expected. The cod tasted like fish at the beginning stage of going bad. I doubt we’ll be going back there anytime soon.

A sprawling bar/restaurant and great venue for watching Live Shows. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We'll be back.

Just had close to 40 people there at our Brit's in Pinellas County Coronation Party last weekend. The service was impeccable, no one had to wait any length of time for anything. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. We had the full Coronation on the big screen and they found us the best way to watch it on YouTube without commercials. Thanks to Leah and our wait staff and everyone at the Wild Rover for helping make our event a great success.

Went for the tea party on Sunday. British themed bar and tavern. They sell novelty foods and jerseys as well. It was a cute set up, both service and food were good.

Beer and food was very good. Great staff, they have different section of the pub for you to move around in, and a rustic outdoor covered area. I was not here when the band was playing but was told it was packed.

We were in town for our sons birthday and we had made a reservation and it was our first time here. When we walked in we weren’t sure where to go. We walked thru the Sports bar and spoke with someone who showed us to our table in the Snug bar. Sat in a booth and was greeted by Morgan our waitress. We weren’t sure what to drink and she gave us great recommendations that we enjoyed. It was a busy night right before they were having a Fleetwood Mac tribute band play and Morgan was very busy but she always made sure we were taken care of. She was very friendly and attentive while busily taking care of others. Our food was good and tasty. Definitely recommend! Thank you Morgan for making our dining experience a memorable one!

Have been coming here for several years with my daughter for the English Breakfast. Actually, we stopped for about a year because the cook had no clue how to cook eggs. We came back this year to see if things had changed. Sadly, they haven’t. I think I could get better eggs at Denny’s. Anyway, the straw that broke the camel’s back was today when we arrived the volume from the television was louder than normal. So, my daughter asked if it could be turned down a bit. The owner, or manager (whatever he is) didn’t want the volume turned down because HE was watching soccer. Screw the customer; he’s watching television. Clearly, he didn’t like us questioning the sound volume so he tells our server that we aren’t allowed to bring our Yeti’s in with us. I expressed some colorful words about that to our server and said she’s welcome to share those words with the manager. She told us to stay and we had our meal with the worst eggs you can imagine. Anyway, this is our last visit to this greasy spoon. If a zero-star review was an option that’s what I would have chosen. UPDATE: In the response to this review the Wild Rover manager stated that the person we spoke to was not a manager. To be clear, we did not speak with that person. Our server told us that he had spoken to her and told her that we were not allowed to bring our Yeti's inside. Since he gave instructions to that effect we just assumed he was a manager. As it turns out, the manager that did respond to this review is deliberately attempting to mislead those reading his response. He explained to us on the phone that his mother is the owner and the person that told us we couldn't bring in our Yeti's is his father, i.e., the husband of the owner, but he is not an owner. Clearly, ownership or not and being the husband of the owner, he feels he has the authority to give those instructions. Given that he is lounging in the restaurant every time we have been there, it would appear that he feels he is management as do the servers since our server did not dare challenge him when he gave her instruction. Another aspect of this is that the manager that did call us at first presented the call as an apology. However, as the call progressed, it was just a feeble attempt to get us to remove our negative review. When it was clear I was not taking down my review on here and on Facebook, he took the step to block me on Facebook in order to separate my "Check-In / Review" from his Facebook profile. If he had been sincerely honest with me I would have revised my review to soften it a bit because I respect honest people. Unfortunately, his dishonest approach is what I got so this review is what he gets. Bottom line...If the quality of your eggs is important to you, then you do not want to eat here. Oh, and by the way, I ordered the fish and chips despite the $18 price tag and was truly surprised when it only came with one piece of fish. To be honest, it was tasty but not $18 tasty.

My father and I have been coming here for the English breakfast, for a few years now. We drive over an hour to get here because they’re the only place that serves a proper English breakfast. However, although our server has always been a lovely young lady. She always provides wonderful service and is very accommodating, the owner seems to only care about his comfort and entertainment. We’re here today and had to move to the outside table because he refuses to turn the volume down to a more reasonable level. The tv system volume is so high that we have to yell to be heard. Mind you, we were the only customers in the dining room, but the owner is watching soccer with his friend and they want the volume too high apparently. On top of all that, the cook CANNOT cook eggs properly. We will not be returning.

Came here with a large party to see a band last week and both the show and food were amazing! I shared the balsamic brussel sprouts app with my friends which was a hit and ordered the fish n’ chips for myself. When the fish arrived at the table, I couldn’t believe how big it was too! It’s the best fish n’ chips I’ve had in a long time. It’s a shame I was only visiting because I would absolutely frequent this place. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some awesome and authentic British food and great live music.

They have no idea about how to cook eggs. “Over easy” always arrives as “over hard.” The Full English Breakfast would be a winner if not for the overcooked eggs. The fish and chips plate is tasty but with only one piece of fish, at a cost of $18, it’s not worth the price. So, no, I don’t recommend this place.

This place needs bar rescue. Sat there for 30-40 minutes at the bar ignored by bartenders as regulars get served. Can’t believe I wasted that much time there.

Waited 15-20 min then left sat outside was not busy, no server came to at least offer waters etc this is the 2nd time this has happened we unfortunately won’t be back until service changes and new ways are implemented. I have been in the service industry so I completely understand somethings but to just be ignored is ridiculous.

Was so looking forward to today - had been several years ago and the food and service were brilliant! Quite disappointed this time - the "saute" mushrooms were out of a can and heated in the microwave!!! My friend had a HUGE HAIR about 8 inches long in his Steak & Ale Pie. big fails we were a large group with individual checks and no one knew nor were we told that the tip was included in the bill, (should be disclosed when taking the order) so independently almost everyone gave more than the 20% - until I asked because i couldn't see how a $16 entre and a $1 bottle of water was $24+!!! Orders got mixed up and lost and fish on the plate was not at all what it should have been, meaning i doubt it was COD! To top if off the manager told my friends that she didn't want her staff abused in public so please step this way (they were complaining about the hair! and rightfully so) no one was abused - you guys must do better..... felt sorry for our waitress she was new and possibly new to serving - never put a new person on a table of more than 20

Excellent British Pub. We ordered a hamburger and fish & chips. Both were delicious and good portions. The Fish & Chips were the best that I have tasted locally. They have a good selection of craft beers brewed onsite. Highly recommended if you want to avoid the major restaurant chains.

Awesome brewery located in a business park. Take the time to find it. Has great food and craft beer. I was stuck in traffic and saw the sign out on the highway. Glad I stopped in.

Rude and disrespectful owner, I've read some other reviews and now I think he has some issues toward kids and service dogs. We were hanging out almost every Sunday evening at the barn or outside, 2-3 families, $300+ each visit, but after yesterday's visit we'll better find another place. Upd. Well, our dog is indeed a service dog and we were not in the mood to argue about it. However, the question "what your service dog is trained to do", I consider a rude question, which I never heard even in airports or hotels. BTW, we never asked to sit with our dog inside, we even tried to book a big table in the barn an hour before, but were told no reservations were needed. We were seated inside after all and were already eating, at the time when the person, who claimed to be an owner, noticed the dog and told to the dog's handler to better leave with the dog and wait in the car - if it's not disrespectful, then idk what is. UPD2. Hey, Theo! You still don't see the problem, do you? When a person has a disability, do you think that he needs to carry his entire medical history with him and tell every stranger about it? Yes, the law may be on your side, and you can ask what exactly a dog is trained to do, but it's a common question to ask when a dog is clearly behaving inappropriately, but that wasn't the case. Dude, we didn't come to argue or look for conflict, we came to relax in your brewery in the evening after the soccer game. You seated us inside (although we wanted to sit outside, but there was another company) and when we were already sitting with drinks, you told the lady with the dog to leave and when she asked "so what should I do now - leave and wait for everyone in the car?", you said, "yes, because you can’t have a dog in Wild Rover". You didn't offer to sit at a table outside, you said no dogs allowed inside! We finished our dinner, paid 20% service fee, because it's not your staff's fault, and left with no drama, but I guess people should know

Went here a few months back and was impressed even recommending it to friends and coworkers Hailing from London had to get my fix of fish & chips so decided to head over .. place seemed empty and food was tasteless .. wanted a piece of home away from home but sad to say I’ll not be back .

I am so sad. I don’t know what happened tonight, but I had the fish and chips, and it was so disappointing. There was no flavor to any of it and the batter on the fish left an unfortunate lingering taste that I would have preferred to miss. I don’t understand how it could look so good and taste so bad.

Owner is unprofessional and rude. It’s unfortunate the way some men believe they can speak to women. My family and I decided to dine outside. We checked in at the bar and immediately proceeded to the outdoor area. We waited approximately 20 minutes for a server, but no one attended to us. Politely, my children and I entered the bar area to gently remind the staff we were waiting to order outside. For a moment my children misbehaved. Nothing dangerous or disruptive. I addressed it immediately. The owner decided to aggressively and disproportionately yell at my children and me in the middle of his empty establishment. I’ve frequented this place a number of times and have witnessed poor behaving customers, who were wildly more disruptive be addressed by staff in a respectful manner. It would appear white middle aged males who are problematic are respectfully handled, while woman and children are not. This also appears to be apparent with other comments in the reviews. I’ve previously wondered why there were low covers in this place since generally the food is good. After experiencing the service breakdown, coupled with the owner’s disproportionate aggression towards a family unit, I fully understand and will not be back.

Wings were great. Other items we ordered were not so great (Caeser wrap and flatbread pizza). Also not happy about them adding a tip for an order that was carry out.

Used to come here for the authentic food, but last night was a disappointment...I ordered the fish and chips. When I finally found the approximately 2 ozs fish among all the burnt breading, it was dry, stringy and tasted like a frozen semblance of a fillet. The chips were soggy and slightly cold. Service was not as expected of the Rover we have eaten and visited many times. Unfortunately, this brewing company gets a 👎 and we will most likely never drink and eat hear again. Did I mention my 2 ozs fillet with a handful of cold fries was $18.50? There are plenty of other companies to frequent from now on... We spent $100 for three people for mediocre food.

Are bartender was fantastic. Unfortunately we ordered bangers and mashed potatoes. Both orders were cold mashed potatoes lukewarm bangers and the most watery gravy ever. This is the second time there. We will not recommend this place every again

I remember their first location out in the country: small and intimate. The 'new' place is a huge upgrade. I love how they've compartmentalize the space: want to watch sports on the TV, there's a section for that; live rock & roll, there's a space for that. If you DON'T want either of those, there are quieter spaces too. And there's outdoor seating when the weather's good. Meanwhile, the beers are and have always been truly excellent. Brewed in the English tradition, there's something for everyone who's looking for something more substantial than Bud Lite.

Why was this place not identified by Google maps until now? Been searching for breweries in this area for over 6 years.

Like this place. Good location. Great tribute bands. Wings are some of the best in Tampa. Also like the fish and chips. Friendly, fun, and relaxing.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with THE OWNER HIMSELF. We were in the back area, our table and 1 more table, nobody else, super closed bar area, just drinks on both tables. We had both our girls having a good time playing around our table, yes, they were laughing and giggling and talking to each other (18month old and 2 year old girls), having an adorable time. With NO WARNING or any notice whatsoever, THE OWNER in a high tone, in my opinion aggressive, said "put the kids in their seats, they're not allowed out!", And proceeded on to the bar. Could have been said much more respectively as our first warning, and this was after 45 mins, with no warning! Apparently not a family friendly Brewery, Restaurant (as he called it).

Something for everyone here. Excellent choice for lunch, dinner and an evening of live music entertainment. Also.... Beer!

They show all football (soccer for us US folks) on the big screen in the sports bar .My absolute fave is the Scotch Egg ($7). I can't even begin to make one from scratch for that price. You can get it as an appetizer or in the Cobb Rover Salad (one of my go to's). Today my son had the Salmon Wellington, which comes with your choice of 2 sides (he had curry and naan bread). I had the Springfield (think Buffalo, ok come on, think really hard.... got it yet Buffalo Springfield) you can get it grilled or breaded, I chose breaded. Both meals were fantastic! Washed down with beer made on sight. They were out of my favorite the Beverly but I was offered the Alternate Tunings and I did like it. My son had the Havana Affair. They also have trivia one night a week, and have live music on Fridays and/or Saturdays. Don't let the setting for them keep you away, it is well worth the time to try them out.

Could be a decent place for dinner. Menu looks good. Cool room for bands in back. However, service is horrible. Can't rate food because I couldn't get any service. Twice stood at walk up spots at the bar and waitresses and bar staff seemed all in a daze and I never even got a drink. What food I saw go by looked good, but may be a little small on the portions for the price. Hope to get back to try the food someday.

Best English food in the area! Huge drink list, lots of beers. Great service.

Everything about this place is on point, the food and beer is excellent!!! Atmosphere is great for sporting events (soccer especially) and the everyday family night.

Great find! In a small industrial area. Great food and awesome staff. Amber was our awesome waitress!! They have plenty of tables and seats for any size party. A full bar is available and they brew their own beer on site. You can't go wrong with this restaurant/pub. They have a back room for live entertainment, concerts and parties.
