We went to this place late Saturday evening. Have to say for a busy night, the service was awesome. The food is definitely authentic. I would say it is most certainly one of the Indian places I’ve liked the best outside of India and that list is very short. Keep up the good flavors and good service. Will go back and whole heartedly recommend!

Ordered three items and did not get one. Was given something entirely different after waiting 45-55 minutes. Meal tasted mediocre. Will not order from here again.

Food was delicious, asked right away about food restrictions, I’m vegan and they catered to me perfectly. The samosa chaat was sooo good. We will be back for takeout and eat in.

I wanted to check out this place since it had great reviews on Google. The restaurant is pretty small, tucked away among a row of shops, would have been hard to miss had it not been the amazing smell of Indian food emanating from it. Me and my friend went on a rainy day to grab snacks and have chai but the waiter seemed miffed that we only ordered so much. I ignored it regardless. Once we ordered the sampler platter, there was only one samosa which was a let down considering every other type had at least 2. The main reason for the low review was the fact that while we were still dining, the waiter came by 2-3 times just to take away the food even though our plates were half-eaten and I had to tell him I am still eating that’s when he stopped. As soon as I was done, he came by quickly to collect without even calling for the check as if to rush us out of the door. This was extremely rude considering there was no rush of customers at the time and even then, it’s wrong.

We went with high expectations reading rave reviews about food but were thoroughly disappointed. Paneer in paneer tikka was too chewy and hard. No salt, orangish marination. Nope. Not good. Malai kofta, kulcha and mango lassi were all ok, at best. Not impressed.

This was some of the best Indian food we’ve ever head. If you’re ever within 30 minutes of this place, it’s a must try!

Full of complex flavors. Surprisingly good! Ordered the Rogan Josh and saag paneer. Rogan Josh could use more meat but both were nice and thick. Wish there were lunch specials or thali here.

Our server was funny and attentive. Food was served promptly and hot. Very tasty.

First off, so great that this place is open late-ish on a Sunday. We were craving Indian at 8:30 on a Sunday and didn’t think we had a hope——but we were in luck and it was so freaking good totally hit the spot and was such a lovely quiet atmosphere to enjoy dinner and conversation. Excellent all around!

Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We had the butter chicken, the Rogan, Josh with lamb, plain naan, and the chili garlic naan, and the masala chai tea. Everything was excellent!

Found this place last minute when I was on my way to Newark to drop my car rental. What a find! I know Indian food and this was the best I have ever had outside of India. The chicken tikka Marsala was delectable, expertly made, fragrant and addictive. The chicken was so tender. The dish came out piping hot and a very generous portion. The nan and basmati rice were wonderful accompaniments. I was absolutely stuffed after leaving the restaurant. The restaurant itself is small and intimate and located in the quintessential town of Maplewood NJ. Such a perfect location! I wish I lived closer. I would eat here every day. If you love Indian food… go here.. period.

We were looking for a spot for Indian food. I looked at a few different spots off of I-78 and saw that Tandoori Chef had strong reviews. I don’t often trust just stars but the pictures and reviews looked enticing. Safe to say the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent! We had soups, chicken 65, naans, biryanis, some dals and chicken curry. The food was flavored very well, it had all the marks of Indian cuisine without being overpowering in its flavors. The meat was fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was quick and communication was clear and professional. This is on my list of spots to visit and eat at when I’m in this area.

It’s my third time eating here and it’s been an absolute delight ! First thing first , absolutely delicious food and staff is very welcoming and friendly! If you are in doubt be free to ask them questions or suggestions and they will be happy to help you with suggestions. The kale papdi chaat is at its excellence and it’s a must eat for me every visit . It’s my most favorite Indian restaurant in Jersey and I drive up here passing many other Indian restaurants and it’s been worth every time! Please keep up the flavors and good vibes !!
