Authentic tacos! Great flavor. I will be back

First and last time here. Not because the food was not good, it had flavor. I ordered 2 orders of Fajitas I thought and an order of pork tacos. I got it to go, I was under the impression would have condiments inside such as limes, other toppings to place on tacos, I should have pulled everything out but did not. I paid almost 45.00 and left a $5.00 tip. I did get one salsa at the toppings bar that was very low and I had no idea I was supposed to get from there all the toppings I wanted, when I say no toppings I mean none. I called back up and tried to have a conversation, and asked how much for the Steak, Shrimp, Chicken Fajitas? Told 22 and some change. how much for the Pork Tacos? 12 and change. I bought a coke to drink while I was there! How did it come to almost 45 plus a 5.00 tip with no toppings and getting what seems to be overcharged. I should have sent my roommate who is Latin and I bet this would not have happened to him.

Don’t know why it was empty ! Good food !!! Horchata was great. Serving portion was huge and we needed boxes . I had chorizo tacos 9/10 and you can put whatever toppings and sauce on top at the bar(which I loved) & my husband got something I forgot —- just know it was 9/10 he said . COME HERE !! You won’t regret it . We got warm chips and salsa . All for $32 = 2 entrees , horchata , 1 Jarritos & chips and salsa.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Good authentic food and great service. The manager is very friendly.

Delicious tacos, home-made Aguas Frescas, and friendly service! El Centenario provides great service, delicious food and amazing home-made Aguas Frescas! I love the "Salad Bar" and the different salsas/ vegetables you can get to go with your food. Give them a try!

Wow! That burrito was amazing!! So good! And the guy greeted us at the door, and was very energetic & friendly. All-around great service. Didn't wait long for food either.

Just what this area needed! A little taqueria with authentic food. Salsa bar is on point! All the salsa were tasty! Make sure to order the warm salsa and chips! We ordered 3 meals and split it between a family of 4. Had fresh made juice. Flavor changes. Cantaloupe juice was great! Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely will return.

Omg best place OMG no cap on god. No words you have to try it! My best friend Chris was crying while eating Cause it’s that freaking amazing. He literally starting speaking Spanish.

Very great food with a topping/sauce buffet that is freshly made. The prices are low and you get plenty of food with your purchase.

I had a great experience at the restaurant. The price was not too high either.

They treated me very badly, I wanted to send money the man didn't ask me if it was with a card or cash and at the time of paying he asks me, then very angry he starts to hit things very hard as if I were to blame, I don't recommend them to go🙅🏻

I am late with my review but this place has some fresh authentic food. The portion size and price are spot on. The ingredients are fresh with mounds of flavor. The atmosphere and music is inviting and the host/cashier is pleasant. The only suggestion I have is work on securing a more accessible location. I have seen and personally passed up going to this location for food when it was Downtown Grounds, and Big Thicket and if you know, some great food has come out of that building.......but the location/parking scheme is not ideal even you are hunting for a bite to eat that is not mcdonalds, burger King etc. I hope to see this business grown and move to bigger and better.

The BEST Mexican food around! Please treat your tastebuds to anything on the menu; you will not be disappointed. The salsas are fresh, and the owner is very friendly and attentive. This is my absolute go-to for the flavors of home.

We visit DeRidder Louisiana twice a year. What a great addition to the town, this restaurant is! Staff was kind and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the chicken and rice, and I got asada tacos.

This restaurant stands out as the top dining spot in the area. It's not your typical Mexican eatery; it's one of the rare authentic Mexican restaurants this side of Texas. The food is expertly seasoned, bursting with incredible flavors. While it may be a small establishment, the experience won't disappoint. Their fajitas are exceptional, with the vegetables perfectly absorbing the meat's flavors. And don't even get me started on the salsa – it's a flavor explosion that will amaze your taste buds. I highly recommend this establishment

It's small but their food is top notch

I stopped by here because another restaurant I was heading to was closed and I’m glad I did. At first glance I was skeptical about all the different stuff they put on my plate because I didn’t know what it was and everything was fresh and delicious!! I highly recommend this place. I got the Carne Asada Dinner and it was amazing! I’m from New Mexico and I eat alot of Mexican, New Mexican food and dabbled with Tex Mex and California Mexican food and this is in a league of its own!! I’m certainly coming back to this restaurant to try some more meals while I’m here and it’s well worth the money with the amount of food you get!!

Great place to go and eat but know your budget before you go.

1st time dining here. Kinda awkward getting in and out of the parking lot, but the quick service, especially at lunch was worth it. The food is great!!

My kid and hubby loved the food, but I learned from their cashier that the extra charge was for the to-go plates ha! But, how do you charge for to-go plate?? when the order is only to-go? I can’t take the food in my hands 😂😂 just for fun, I asked her do I have a choice to take to-go food without the containers, and she said no!! It would be more wise to just add it in the total cost of meal, instead of charging 75 cents for each to-go plate. The food is great, the 75 cents extra per plate was worth it. Definitely, check it out and support them!

This place has some of the best food to offer in Deridder. The owner is super friendly and honest and just an all around great place to eat. Love this place.

Food was amazing. Salsa bar let us each set the spice level to our preference. Service was great. Hidden quiet little gem when we went for a weeknight dinner but it's new, it will be packed all the time if they keep this up. 10/10 will eat here again.

This place has authentic tacos. Was impressed by the birria tacos and consome. The three salsas at the bar, too, were great. Finally, the owner is cool too.

I'm from the Midwest, and this is the good food I've been looking for since I moved to the area 3 years ago. I've been here twice now, once for dine-in and once for carryout. The food was delicious both times, and the service was very friendly and fast. The owner is super nice, and it's very refreshing to have a restaurant I can go to regularly.

Big A$$ Burrito aka Burrito El Centenario is a family favorite! My husband and son each order one at least once a week. Best service and everything we have eaten has been delicious. Love the salsa bar options. Highly recommend!

You all did amazing! You made an amazing spread for my girls 16th birthday. Food was delicious and he did amazing to make sure there was enough to feed all of these hungry teenagers!

Just earned themselves a new loyal customer!! The melon fresca was amazing! The stuffed avocado with steak and queso is my new favorite dish.🤤🤤🤤 The portions are huge and we got dinner for our family of 4 with 2 appetizers for under $50.

Ok I do no say this much; but my husband was right for once, this place has the best Mexican cuisine that I have ever tasted! 😋 It is small and no margaritas, but if you want authentic cooked food that doesn’t taste like fast food or something that was frozen and heated up then try this, I don’t even like guacamole or vegetables but I ate it all! 😎… only downfall is no salsa but they have queso, guacamole, pico de gallo, etc. … and the best warm chips ever!!

This was hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The birria was awesome! The quesadilla was also the best one I can recall ever having. Will be back many times !

Coming from southern California to Louisiana we've been looking for a good mexican restaurant this one is by far the best out here and we've tried at least 6 other ones the food was great and the customer service was excellent will definitely be coming back
