We Loved Terrace, Grill, the crabcakes which were gluten-free were absolutely fantastic and made of real crab meat. My guess enjoyed the grain bowl, And I loved my breakfast. The ambience is fantastic. We were especially delighted by Julia our server.

Julia was wonderful. She made our birthday celebration perfect. Very attentive.

Beautiful restaurant but way overpriced for what was delivered. It was billed as an American restaurant but it's flavors were more Indian. We didn't order a chop because it was $50 so we ordered fish and rice. A non de script grilled broccoli was $8 each. An appetizer of 5 oysters Rockefeller was $24. Water was the beverage & the bill ended up as $125 for 2 people. While the fish was good I wouldn't have ordered it knowing the rice had so much seasoning and my husbands fish had coconut milk & curry.

**Terrace Grill Review** I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Terrace Grill, located within the historic Terrace Hotel. My sister and I shared the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, which consisted of Tempura Rock Shrimp accompanied by a Sweet Coconut Sauce, Spicy Mayo, Sesame Seeds, and Scallions. It was an exceptional dish that has become my new favorite. My sister opted for the Basil Pesto Cream with Potato Gnocchi, Basil Pesto, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, and Pecorino Romano, while I chose the Rigatoni with added Chicken, which included Fresh Rigatoni, Calabrian Chili Basil, Florida Tomatoes, and Fresh Ricotta. Our visit to the Terrace Grill was part of our ongoing experience for an upcoming documentary project highlighting 100 of Florida's most celebrated restaurants. As part of our reservation, we were delighted to receive a complimentary bottle of Gallery 2020 Quilt Chardonnay Napa Valley Wine. The wine was exquisite, and its presentation was impeccable. Our server, Julia, provided exceptional customer service throughout the evening, ensuring that our dining experience was truly memorable. Chris is a great bartender but he needs to be in main bar so food can be ordered also. Upstairs is small and intimate but the main bar is better.

Wonderful experience taking my elderly parents out to celebrate a 95th birthday. Julie our waitress was attentive and accommodating. Food was excellent and as always a beautiful atmosphere.

Had an amazing meal at the Terrace Grille with friends recently! I had the Hollingsworth Salad and Rigatoni with a French 75. All were superb. I am still thinking about the creme brulee I had for dessert! The restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance can't be beat. Will definitely be going back soon!

We had a beautiful anniversary dinner. Our server Julia was very attentive and delightful. The manager made sure he came by and checked in with us to see how we were and how our experience was. He gave us dessert on the house. It was very delicious. The steaks were made to perfection!!!

We had an excellent lunch! Very reasonable price for the food and excellent service. The sandwiches were perfectly sized; not too big, not too small, just right. Definitely amazing flavor! Our compliments to the chef! Excellent work!

Kaela’s service was absolutely amazing. Me and my girlfriend came by for the brunch and we left absolutely amazed by the quality of service we received. As well as the quality of the food. The bottomless bloody Mary’s stayed coming during our brunch experience. The attentiveness of our server was just on point. We had the pleasure of trying the Lake Mirror Benny and it was just all that could be expected. I cannot emphasize how clean and pleasurable the establishment was, as well as our server Kaela, whom not only made our stay pleasurable but she also enhanced it! From answering any little question we had to giving us her own personal take on some menu items; she was honestly just wonderful. Special thanks to the Terrace Grille Staff for making us have one of the most wonderful experiences.

Bad Dinner----We have never written a food review...Unfortunately what was supposed to be a celebration dinner turned out to be a great disappointment not from the service or the atmosphere but the food. The shrimp cocktail had four small shrimp and was $18 the large shrimp salad was expensive and the greens were wilted and soggy. The 3 scallops were small and had a salty Sea taste to them. We left hungry and disappointed. This was the first dinner we ate there, previously ate brunch which was good Will not go back for dinner... Very limited dinner menu ...

Had an amazing time at the grille the food was good and the our waiter Kaela was spectacular quick with our food and always made sure our drinks were filled and was amazing explaining the menu to us especially it was my first time there and was super friendly and nice..she definitely needs a raise and I wil be coming back again as well to dine.

I came here for dinner with my wife for her birthday and the best part about this place is the HOSPITALITY. From the host Kayla to my server also Kaela! We went to the bar for a pre meal drink and the bartenders Kaitlyn and Rena were amazing as well!! We ordered the charcuterie board, the filet, scallops and some mushrooms. We will definitely be back soon.

The Terrace Grille never disappoints! We arrived at the hotel and decided to kick off our staycation by having a cocktail in the beautiful Mezzanine Bar. We were greeted by Chris the absolutely wonderful bartender he’s more of a Mixologist because His drinks are like none I have ever tasted they were perfectly blended and balanced. He made me a White chocolate Martini 🍸 it was amazing! Thanks Chris! We made our way down to The Terrace Grille for dinner we decided on a charcuterie board it was the perfect amount and we loved the delicious olives that accompanied the board. We ordered a wedge salad and the spicy rigatoni Chef Patrick Recommended it and I have to admit I am Dreaming about that Rigatoni it was that delicious! Chef Patrick you are so talented. Our server Kaela is always so welcoming and took amazing care of us! I also want to mention Nick the food and beverage manager he always welcomes us back and makes a point of coming over to our table and asks if we need anything. Those special touches mean so much. Our whole experience last night was absolutely wonderful and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

I highly recommend going to this hidden gem in downtown Lakeland. I especially want to recommend Mark Hancock, the best bartender ever. Go see Mark, you will not be disappointed. See you soon!

I was taking my wife on our anniversary date and was welcomed by such a warm staff that I felt as if I was a regular that had dined there many times before. Our server Kaitlyn was very attentive and kind, I appreciate her making it a top priority that my wife and I had an exceptional night. We were also greeted by a wonderful lady named Rena who was very helpful until we got seated

Kaitlyn is one of the best servers i have ever experienced. She was was so kind and patient and sweet and truly such a treat! She made going to The Terrace worth it! Amazing service from here. I couldn’t have asked for anything better! Thank you Kaitlyn. Amazing atmosphere and food!

Chris Smith is a phenomenal addition to the Terrace Grille! I stay at the hotel every few weeks for work. His attention to detail on my order is top notch! I am always welcomed warmly by Chris and the wait staff. The food is delicious and perfectly prepared.

Have a great time each visit to this hotel. My favorite is the second floor lounge with Chris. We have met so many honors members and struck up conversations and became friends. He always remembers us and makes us feel welcome.

We had a wonderful time at happy hour in the bar on Monday. The French 75 was exquisite and the tuna tartar was perfect. The service from Chris was quick and charming- we come back to see the wonderful staff here!

Stopped by for lunch between our drive from Orlando to St Pete’s. The restaurant is beautiful, the food and service is superb! Highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich and turkey club. Mylik is an excellent server!

we stayed the night for the Red,White,Kaboom event on Lake Mirror.. we went to breakfast and my Wife had the omlet and I had the French Toast….it was amazing….. and our server Sydney was wonderful… we love our little get aways here at The Terrace ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have been to grille many times and loved it. Tried to make reservation for 10 and was told that payment had to be on one check or card for a party of 6 or more, that it was Hilton policy. When I called the Hilton mainline they said it has nothing to do with Hilton. Suffices to say you lost a local Customer who has supported you for many years.

We had such an amazing experience with this highly recommended hotel. Service was impeccable with Chad as he was very helpful as I am kinda a Wine snob! Complements to the chef, the eggs were delicious as well as the potatoes served I couldn't stop eating. We will definitely be back thank u so much!

We had the fortunate luxury experience of 5-course wine pairing dinner by Chef Patrick. It was outstanding the food was prepared exquisitely and tasted absolutely amazing. The F&B Manager, Nicholas was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the wine selections. I would recommend the Terrace Grille to anyone passing through or staying in Lakeland.

So disappointed 😭 We were really looking forward to a nice/fine dining meal in Lakeland and it did not deliver. You’re way better off going to multiple other restaurants downtown. The restaurants itself is beautiful though. Here’s a few things with our experience and let me make it clear it was not busy AT ALL! Took 15 minutes to get our water poured Took 35 minutes for our first round of drinks We had 4 different servers Took about an hour for crab cakes with was our app Our dinner was good but not great Took another long time for our second round of drinks The cheesecake dessert tasted like lavender soap There was another table having multiple issues as well. The GM went over to their table and comped a bunch of their items. The GM walked by our table multiple times and never once checked on us. I asked my leftovers to be boxed up and they “lost” it so then they were going to make me another plate but it was taking too long and we had to leave. Hate to leave this review but it’s too expensive of a place to have these issues. Felt like a restaurants opening week. Major disconnect between front and back of house.

It would be nice if your staff would be transparent about the included gratuity! $47 was included, but because of the lack of itemization when my husband filled out the paperwork, he double tipped!! The server was happy to mention that parties of six or more will be on one bill. No split checks, but decided to leave out that gratuity was included. We want a refund. $104 tip? Get out. Also, for the restaurant being so empty, we are not sure why our courses were stretched out so long. It was definitely an awkward first visit. Probably our last.

Poor selection of entrees. No soups, no house salad. None of the dishes listed to recommend were even on the dinner menu!

Stopped in here on a whim and so glad that I did. Mylik was an incredible server and made great recommendations for lunch. The service was excellent and that orange lavender crème brûlée was fantastic. Highly recommend lunch or a cocktail here. Mylik was a gem! Very friendly and attentive during the lunch crowd.

I brought 2 guests to dinner as a treat. the waitress left the black credit card machine on the table and never came back. After waiting about 10 minutes I stood up to find someone to help me enter a $100 gift card. Since I had the gift card and my credit card in myhand the machine immediately charged the whole bill. I found my waitress in the back of the bar area and asked her to credit the 100. She came back with my credit card and a bill for the new balance of $13.42. I added a tip, signed it and assumed she game me $100 credit. That never showed up on my credit card. I called the manager twice and explained it. He never called back nor credited me. So I not only lost my $100 gift card, I paid. more than the original bill. I am so surprised since I have been a customer since the restaurant originally opened and live in Lakeland. I got ripped off!

Very disappointed ! Our Easter brunch was terrible !!! I had to go find someone to get water for our table, our chicken sandwiches came out dry & burnt. It took 1 hour to get sandwiches , salads and Avacado toast . Bad service , bad food . I guess it was the manager who waited on our party . Mediocre salad for Easter .

I have always wanted to dine here & was not disappointed! Our waitress was really great, after we ordered the charcuterie for our appetizer (which was very yummy everything paired wonderfully) she had noticed we just wanted to enjoy that for a while before ordering our entree. She checked on us but also gave us a lot of space before moving to the next item which I really appreciated not being rushed like some restaurants do. Another thing I really loved was the manager came over to our table because he had noticed the note I attached on the reservation which stated we were celebrating 16 years of our friendship. He had congratulated us and offered 2 glasses of complementary champagne. I thought that was extremely thoughtful and very unexpected! We ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes & the steak that came with a horseradish sauce it was delicious! I was not able to finish everything so our waitress packed it very nicely in the box, I was just really impressed with the service. Also the white sangria and margarita are yum!

Went for Valentines, our reservation was for 8:30 end up being at 9:15 because apparently they were just full. Purchased the lake view dinning room which included a rose and some chocolates which they never gave us. Service was way average, we requested a sparkling water at our arrival and it never came. My pasta (Cacio e pepe) was overcooked and dry , my husband’s steak was cold. The place looks good but nothing else. I don’t know where all this good reviews come from because this restaurant and the food is way below average for the price. Never going back.

Came here after a special event. Had a reservation for 8. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived 5min early. Didn’t offer any drink menu. Was very quick to get our order in. The waitress didn’t know the menu at all. Described a curry coated fish as “breaded” fish… very very small portions for the price. Was hoping for a semi fancy dining experience and were very disappointed. Especially with the service.

The worst experience I’ve ever experienced going to any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I get better service at McDonald’s than I did at this place and to top that off we got told at the restaurant was closed at 9:15 and we were the only table that got asked to leave Really ridiculous. Also got told, but that the chef wouldn’t put chicken on our Caesar salad. I would never recommend this place to anybody save your money save your time save your patience, and never go here

We trusted Terrace Grill for our 25th Anniversary dinner and they exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was enjoyable and our service was impeccable. They made us feel special, the cuisine was excellent and we truly can't wait to visit again.

Don’t order steak and ask for “medium rare” ….no one knows how to cook that. Chicken had no flavor. Service was okay, but not friendly.

I have dined here twice in the last month and both experiences exceeded expectations. The first time I came in with my family and the food was so good I had to go back! The second time the food was equally as good, but the service was outstanding. My husband and I went in for an early dinner with our 16 month old. Long story short, I was really embarrassed because the baby knocked a dish off the table and it broke. After the dish broke I was ready to pack our food and leave. Our waitress was so understanding and reassuring and completely turned our experience around. I wish I got her name so I could shout her out on here! All I know is that she is pretty with dark hair and a mother of two boys. I hope she sees this and knows how much we appreciated her that day! Also, side note about the food - the side order of mushrooms is nothing to sleep on. That, and the steak with a side of bulb garlic is the reason we went back so soon after our first visit! Earl grey crème brûlée is unique and delicious.

We had 5:00 dinner reservations and thought we would have a drink at the bar before dinner. Arriving at 4:30, we were told the bar didn’t open until 5:00, but the bar keep said if we came back in about 15 she would be ready. We did, and that was the best part of the experience. Old Fashioned and Negroni were spot on with a generous pour. Went to our table shortly after 5:00, ordered charcuterie board, salads, and each had scallops. Board arrived within a couple of minutes, obviously pulled out of a cooler. Cheddars cheese had started to go dry. Other cheese were good, but overall lack luster. We were not half way though the board and salads arrived. Lettuce was slightly wilted, seemed to have been sitting with dressing on it in a chiller as well. Finished our board and started salads as entrees arrived at the table. Scallops were great! We had the earl grey cream brulle for dessert. It was good, but not over the top. Noticed the same service at other tables, the wait staff seemed to have no understanding of pacing the meal. I had asked for a quiet table when placing the reservation as it was our anniversary, but table was in path from kitchen to rest of restaurant next to a family with a mostly well behaved infant and across from a lady dining with her chihuahua. We will stop back in the bar for sure, atmosphere is awesome, but will dine in one of lakelands other restaurants next time. As for cleanliness, spot on! Bottle of cleaner and rag stayed on the half wall beside me through the entire meal…..

I ordered the Cacio E Pepe and it was DISGUSTING. It tasted like it was pure salt, like not just salty, something was very wrong with the dish. I would’ve said something to the waiter but they never asked how our food was. No one at our table liked their food, but we all agreed mine was inedible. There’s no way a chef could’ve tasted it and sent it out. The restaurant also reeked of natural gas smell upon entering, but we were seated in a spot where it wasn’t too bad. There are plenty of other places within a two minute walk you should choose instead.

Had the chef's special Thai soup and it was crafted perfectly with the right amount of depth in terms of heat level and great taste! I will be back for the next surprise! Hats off the the Chef🔪

Unfortunately cannot recommend. Food was bland and overcooked, the potatoes tasted like they came from a box. The highlight was the manager who was understanding and covered the cost of the meal (which we didn’t touch after the first taste). Every chef has a bad day so hopefully it was just a fluke and not a pattern!

Was disappointed especially for the prices paid. Waited to be seated even tho our table was ready. Maitre'd appeared to be unsure as to seat us. I thought unprofessional. Once seated, the waitress did take care of us, but my food came out luke warm. My spaghetti was sticky and creamed spinach bland. Couldn't hear the carolers at all. This was the reason we came: old fashioned carolers.

Lived and worked near this establishment most of my life. First time visiting, I loved the atmosphere, the food was really good, our server was professional and courteous. Great restaurant for a special occasion. Can’t wait to return with my husband for maybe a nice dinner.

My wife and I have frequented this charming restaurant many times over the last year, but sadly we are in agreement with many patrons in that the quality of the food and service has definitely become subpar. After last night, we will no longer dine there.
