We were driving through Nixa, Mo and spotted this little coffee shop. It’s cozy, quiet and a bit quirky. We ordered iced coffees and sandwiches. The coffees were carefully mixed and brought to our tables first. There’s sugar, flavored creamer and additional flavorings available to dress up your drinks. The sandwiches came a little later. They were thick and served with delicious house chips and special sauce. Everything was delicious, comfortable, quiet and nice. This was a very pleasant stop !

The coffee is good! There's a ton of food options and the baked goods are home made. Worth the drive from Springfield and other area towns.

Everything about the place is wonderful! Nicole has staffed her place with friendly efficient people that made my wife and I feel like we were amongst friends! The teas,and coffees are great, and the foods are divine!!! Definitely a go to every time we are in Nixa!!!

This place has a wonderful atmosphere, and the food is really good. I need to give a shout out to Abby, our server. (I hope I got her name right) She provided exceptional service. She goes above and beyond… She needs to get a raise! Try this place out. You will be glad you did.

A friend planned a birthday party for a Sunday with them, we get there the place was closed up tight, I wouldn't plan a special day there because you might not get it!

We came to Springfield/Nixa for a weekend getaway & stopped here for coffee & breakfast and everything we had was so good. We had coffee, and two breakfast items and all were incredible. Would 10/10 recommend!

Update: avocado toast was ok, too much of the white creamy stuff. Latte good! Avocado toast was good but quite bland.

I went to this place because they had the best sandwich I had ever had. But the atmosphere is so relaxing and comfy that you could sit and talk for hours. It felt more like a hangout place that just happened to serve great food. I go every Saturday.

The Baked Bean is a nice place to go if you have time to relax. The service is slow but the products are good and the sweets are great. The atmosphere is relaxing and a great place to share a coffee with a friend and plan to stay awhile.

Enjoyed my pumpkin latte while chatting with a good friend. It is a great place to be able to carry on a conversation. One of my favorite places to meet up with people. The coffee is always delish and service is wonderful.

Good coffee, was awake for 2 days

The Ooey Gooey Grilled Cheese was indeed gooey! Excellent cheese pull! Added ham and *mwah*! YUM. Was too excited for food to take a photo.

Great coffee joint been going here for years, even back when it was the Australian coffee joint. Zero complaints or negative experiences. Great local coffee shop!

The “Frenchie” is amazing and their “Billabong” coffee is amazing!!!! Their servers are always so kind and helpful!!!

I got my daughter's birthday cake here, and they did a wonderful job (she doesn't like the tradional cakes). The deserts are delicious, and the coffee is amazing.

This coffee shop has a limited breakfast selection but several drink options. We had the avocado toast and it was very good. There is a variety of seating options from booths, tables, sofas, and chairs. There is also limited outside seating.

Good sandwiches and really good coffee. Only one waitress, so we did have to wait a bit for food but I wasn't in a rush.

They have wonderful coffee and the best sweets. I recommend the brownies.

Excellent shop with lots of space to meet with others and enjoy great drinks and baked items. There is also a meeting space available next door. They even now have a punch card, so even more excuses to make it my regular place and get rewarded. Super friendly staff and great service, so check them out!

Inviting local coffee shop also serving some gorgeous pastries and a very enticing lunch menu. The Late I ordered was perfect. Next visit will require a stay for lunch.

We didn't have any food, so can't rate that. Coffee was good and I loved the atmosphere. They had a decently busy day and the volume still stays really relaxed. Two stars on service because the employees seemed more interested in their own conversations than having any customer interaction at all.

Just stopped by with the Wife- she got a RoadKill and I grabbed the Billabong. Both were pretty damn good. Will be stopping by again some time to try out their food. We have lived here for over a year and just saw this location as we dropped the car off for repairs at the nearby body shop. Really glad we found this place, what a gem!

Honestly, I’m pretty sad about the rebrand, walkabout was special and homey and a go to place even though it was far away from me. Nothing special about the new brand, sadly. No longer worth it to me to make the drive :( 3 stars because it was okay.

Nicole and Abby are two of the sweetest people I know. The food and coffee are all FANTASTIC. They always have fun new flavors and combinations. LOVE The Baked Bean!

Awesome atmosphere and community space with not too outrageous prices. I got a dessert and sandwich, and they were both delicious! Service is just a little slow to bring food out.

The pastry was good, but the blended coffee was undeniably bitter. It had the oddest taste ever. I didn't say anything because we were in a hurry. I haven't been in there in a very long time. In fact I think Jeff was the owner of the last time we went in and all the intricate painting from his wife had been painted over. That was sad. 🥺 it was BEAUTIFUL and it set it apart from other cafe's. I loved her art work! It really doesn't have any Australian flare other than drink names. I miss when it first opened.

Nice place, service and drinks great

The service was friendly and the decor is welcoming. Unfortunately, the avocado on the avocado toast was rotten and the smell of the cleaning supplies was harsh and overpowering. Glad they are offering food options now... Maybe on a different day it would have been better.

I really enjoy their smoothies and they always have a good selection of sweets. The atmosphere is calm and they have games to have fun with your friends.

Good people, good food, good meeting room available. Very happy with this coffee shop. However, my Google maps had trouble getting there. Do not trust Google maps.

I hold real estate workshops here once a month. Nice clean accommodations with plenty of room for the workshops and our project meetings.

Just went in for a cup of Joe and a snack. Excellent brewed coffee and the muffin was great. Quiet if you need to sit and relax for a bit. Will be going back in the future!

Sat here for a few hours while windshield was getting repaired at Safelite nextdoor. Great food and drinks and a quiet chill atmosphere.

I had the best avacado toast I've ever had here. It was quiet and looked like a great place to hang out to work or study. 4 stars because the seating and interior could use an update, but I will definitely be back soon.

Beware of up charges. We let them know this was our first visit, and when we ordered two $4 coffees I feel they should have explained the up charges to us. After I read the receipt I saw that my coffee had a $1.25 up charge on it and my husband's had 50 cents. I asked them what the 50 cent up charge was for and they said it was the size. My husband never specified a size when we ordered the two $4 coffees. The coffee's were good and the desserts were also good.

The customer service is off the charts great! They take the time time to know your name and order and are very personable

Coffee was delicious. Service was quick. 9/10. Only issue was that the cup leaked in my car and made it very sticky, but that is not their fault.

We had our daughters 1st Birthday at Walkabout & it was perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect for us. Perfect, cozy environment with delicious coffee! What more could do you ask for?! This took all of the birthday party planning stress away! We will be back next year!

The Bourbon Pecan is so gooood!

Looks like your ordinary coffee shop on the outside, but on the story changes on the inside. Couches placed cozily throughout the shop, along with tables and chairs. Books. A guitar to play, if anyone cares about that, but to me, that’s awesome to just chill and play that’s *not* at home. Definitely a try. :)

I used to go here to meet up with friends and have a coffee. Their coffee is great, but the ambiance has changed to a cold feeling with the new paint and decor. I'll still come to get coffee... to go.

The drinks are excellent, atmosphere is good too. Lost my wallet there yesterday and staff returned it today. Had loads of cash and it's all still in there. Definitely a good place with good staff.

We rented out the shop for my husband’s surprise 50th bday party...what a great experience!! David was great to work with and very accommodating. I provided a catered dinner, open coffee bar, and karaoke. Our guests had so much fun! Thank you Walkabout for making my husband’s big bday so special!!!!!

I decided to try the new drive thru option and it did not disappoint. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. And I pulled right up and got out fast, not slowing down my morning. I will be back for sure.

The greatest coffee shop in, not only Nixa, but the greater Springfield area. The owners are some of the kindest, most hard working people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting.

Walkabout Coffee is by far my favorite coffee shop! Their drinks are wonderful and i love the atmosphere there. When I have the extra time I enjoy reading while I drink my coffee. They have several sitting areas that are comfortable and with enough room that I dont feel as though Im too close to others. The staff is always pleasant and inviting. And Im happy to say that Kelsey makes the best hazelnut lattes!

Very good coffee. Staff was friendly. If you go, make sure to try the House Blend drip coffee. The decor was very inviting. Wasn't too busy, wasn't too industrial.

This place is for the actual coffee lovers. Not the burnt coffee with lots of syrup and sugars to cover the horrible coffee *cough cough* Starbucks *cough cough*. My husband and I tried this place today. I ordered a vanilla latte and expected to have at minimum, half my drink filled with sugars/syrups and was pleasantly surprised when the sweet flavor was about as minimal as you can get. This means that this places relies on the actual taste of their coffee which was suburb! My husband had their drip coffee. Fairly priced! Talking with the staff felt like talking with people we knew. Very pleasant and personable. We will definitely be back. I will probably be back tomorrow! Lol

Has a very comfortable atmosphere. The service can be slow but only when they get busy and depending on what you order. But it is always worth the time. The coffee is top shelf and the muffins are great! And they also make a delicious breakfast sandwich too. Trying out a orange pineapple smoothie today, it's fantastic!

This place is awesome! Kelsey was kind, courteous, and super helpful in my long process of deciding what to get, lol. My sandwich and drink were amazing!! The location is super cute and comfortable, one of those places you could spend hours.

Visiting family in town, needed some good local coffee...and I found it! Friendly barista, nice cozy atmosphere, and delicious espresso.

Awesome place to grab a coffee! They have blended coffee!! The staff are wonderful and the environment they have created is the coziest and most inviting of all coffee places. Lots of big fluffy chairs, reading books with books or a quiet conversation. Ask the barista for a recommendation on a drink and you can't go wrong. So glad I discovered this amazing little nook, I will be back next time I am in Nixa!

Great meeting spot and customer service!

We have always loved going there. It is a nice place to meet. However, since it has sold to the new owners we question whether or not the coffee is the same as it was with the original owner. One of our reasons for going was the great decaf. Lately we have experienced indigestion after drinking decaf. from there. They need to return to the original decaf. coffee blend.
