THE EGG SALAD SANDWICH IS DISGUSTING. I was excited to try the burger here but unfortunately it is only available one day of the week, which I was totally fine with, I ordered the egg salad sandwich instead and also the charcuterie board, creamed corn. The egg salad sandwich was so gross I don’t even know if I can put it into words on how bland and weird it was, the egg salad was cold but the bread was warm, it didn’t taste like eggs at all, all I could taste was grainy gross mayo and dry bread. I have traveled all over and tried many foods at every level, i really expected more from this place after reading the reviews. I strongly believe the people who rated this place 5 stars have screwed up taste buds from the high proof bourbon they drink because their food is disgusting, pretentiously priced and overhyped. The corn was good, but the charcuterie board cheeses were very bitter and I couldn’t figure out how they they went together with the other items on the board, the crackers were flavorless and the sauces were not very good either. It was 24 bucks and it was VERY small as in like 5 small pieces of cheese and maybe a spoonful of each sauce. Very bizarre. Service was great. Their 11 year old bourbon pick was very hot, that really didn’t make sense.

The food was so delicious we had to go back a second day. Jason in the Coffee Shop recommended the egg salad sandwich, wings, and oyster slider. His recommendations were not wrong. I had to try the watermelon as well which was life changing. McKenna and Mason took great care of us, as did Ila in the bar after the tour. McKenna walked us through the menu and was super fun and personable. When my husband could not find his phone, Mason retraced the tour path to see if my husband might have set it down along the way. The phone was in the car but Mason left no stone unturned trying to find the phone. Highly recommend the Bar at Willett. I am looking forward to our next trip to Kentucky so we can go back to The Bar at Willett. McKenna made us feel so welcome I want to move to Kentucky.

This place is the best stop on the bourbon trail. The cocktail service is fantastic and wonderful. And the food is outstanding. Get there early to order the cheeseburger... Only 23 made and they go fast! It's worth it. The egg salad sandwich....holy smokes this sandwich is incredible. The chicken wings are delicious. And the oyster slider is wonderful. A must stop!

The food is good, specifically the chicken wings and egg salad sandwich. However, if you are hungry, you better order 2 “entrees” as their plates are all shareable. The menu has limited amount of options. I wish they would offer more sandwich options.

Food was grossly overpriced and overhyped. "Small, shareable plates" but not enough food to satisfy anyone. Save yourself the disappointment of the smoked eggsalad sandwich.

Blown away. I mean, this was some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Gougères with smoked mozzarella pastry cream and salami was out of this world. Famous egg salad sandwich was, indeed, the best egg salad sandwich I’ve ever had. Risotto was inventive and bursting with flavor. And the carrots and labane were amazing too. Oh yeah, cocktails were special too.

Went through Google main page for Willet Bar to make a reservation through Resy. My mistake was clicking to make a reservation before checking their actual open hours. Resy had a 5:30pm reservation available on a Saturday night so I snagged it as an early dinner for our anniversary. Drove an hour out there to have a relaxing meal but when we got there they were already shutting the kitchen down. Multiple main proteins were sold out. All that was left was cold fish for $24. Was the food great, yes. Should the Bar offer reservations when they are already closed and out of food? No. We felt rushed. Didn’t get to order three things off the menu we actually wanted. They were knowledgeable about how to make each dish GF which was great. We could tell it would have been an amazing experience if we had come during opening hours…

Amazing dining experience! We visited the Willett distillery on a weekday afternoon and were not disappointed. While we were aware they had a restaurant on site, we had no idea it would be of this quality. The Bar at Willett was a great, intimate dining experience. The cocktails and bourbon selection was of course excellent - but the egg salad sandwich was exquisite. We also enjoyed the beet salad. We highly recommend visiting!

On our vacation from Texas to New Hampshire, stopping at various places. Chose Bar at Willett because my husband loves Bourbon. He had Willett small batch 94 proof and I had Moscal Mule. Ordered egg salad sandwich, chicken wings and trout dip. Soóo amazing 😋. Sat at the bar and bartenders Alex and Luciano we awesome. Can't go wrong!

We ordered one of everything and that was the way to go. I will say I was jealous of the folks who were lucky enough to order the burger on Saturday (when they sell out, they are done for the day). It was hard to pick a favorite dish. So much great food. One person in my party said “this is in the top 5 meals I’ve ever had in my life”. The smoked trout, patë, and egg salad were amazing. Also hard to complain with the largest purple top collection in the country! I have been three times and will always make reversion a to visit again. There’s only 8-9 tables so plan ahead as walking in for a table is rare.

The staff is incredible and the drinks, food and ambiance match them. Hands down the best food of the bourbon trail trip so far. We had risotto, the salami choux puffs, and the egg salad sandwich which were all fantastic! They had a full bar (aka more than whiskey) and a great wine list. If I lived near by, I'd be here for lunch once a week.

If you have time come to this bar. The small plates are fantastic, the service is phenomenal. Also if you would rather try some single barrel options and want to put your money towards that instead of tours come to the bar and let the bartender give you some recommendations. You can't go wrong. We personally loved the 'light side of the moon' best whiskey I had all day! Compared to other experiences in the same area of town sitting at this bar with the amazing bartender took the cake!

Always spot on! Get here early on Saturdays for the best burger ever. Bring a friend(s) share the burger, egg salad sandwich and enjoy some of the best drinks from the bar! Service is unmatched and several staff members have been here a long time! Oh, and the cheesecake🤤🤤

2.5 Stars. I honestly can't believe all of the 5 star reviews for this place. Do these people live in a different universe where mediocre food at astronomical prices deserves high praise? We ate here a couple of days ago after a tour of the distillery. I guess I need to acknowledge upfront my disgust with pretentious "small plates" restaurants. Having said that, our group of four ordered two servings of the wings, two of the egg salad sandwiches recommended by the server, one order of cashews and one of the cauliflower. We got 12 wings that cost $28. $28 for a dozen wings! And no, not a dozen full wings like you used to get. A dozen wing sections... 6 flats and 6 drummets. They were good, but holy inflation, Batman! The cashews cost $10 for about as many as I can eat in 45 seconds. The egg salad sandwiches cost $14 each, and were , eh, okay. And the cauliflower? Absolutely lousy at a cool $12. So, with one drink per person, each couple spent about $60 on what I would call a mediocre snack. Small portions, big prices, and nothing noteworthy or impressive.

I’m not going to lie. I was skeptical of booking this for dinner because of the small plates. Life changing meal. I We had to order seconds of half of the dishes we ordered because they were phenomenal. A must stop when in the area. Borderline life changing meal and phenomenal service.

Outstanding service. We sat at the bar and had impeccable service. This is our second time here and both times have blown us out of the water. Definitely recommend the egg salad sandwich. The restaurant is on the second floor of the distillery above the gift shop. It is accessible by elevator or stairs.

The best lunch of my life. Every single thing that we tried was beyond delicious and the staff were so kind. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Make reservations. Get the egg salad.

Great selection of bourbons, awesome service and great food. Was highly disappointed with the cleanliness of their glens. Bought a few high dollar pours and they were water stained and 2 had stuff dried on them that I could scrape off with my nail.

I've been here twice, and I've been blown away both times. It's absolutely the best bourbon in Kentucky, and the best egg salad I've ever tasted in my life. You're missing out if you don't visit.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Bar at Willett. Cocktails were great. Some of the best food I have eaten in my life. The egg salad sandwich changed my life and I will be thinking about it every day until I have a chance to eat it again. Jason was our waiter during out visit and he might have been the best part of the entire experience. Amazingly professional and next level when it came to customer service. Knew the food and drink menu like the back of his hand. He went above and beyond to clarify which items were vegetarian friendly.

Greg the bartender was simply fantastic. His attention and great attitude is wonderful. Extremely good drinks.

What a great place to hang out and get some great Bourbon tastes along with fun bar foods.

The food was exceptional. The egg salad sandwich with the tomato salad is a great combo.

This is the perfect way to cap off a tour experience at Wiley. Great drinks from knowledgeable bartenders and outstanding food. Depending on what you’re after, it might be difficult to make what seems like a standard dinner. But you should find enough interesting things that you don’t leave hungry.

Couple of ways to get to the second floor. We tried just about every small plate and everything was surprisingly good! Really liked the egg salad sandwich and chicken thighs. Open kitchen and relaxing spacing between tables. The bourbon prices have a wide range.c

Excellent restaurant and bar! We tried much of the menu and were impressed with all of the food. We did split a flight of some of the whiskey, which was the most I've ever spent on whisky at 50 bucks a pour. I wish that was more impressive than it was, but it was difficult to know which barrels to select, so maybe that was on us. I might steer you away from that unless you know what you're doing.

Had the Egg Salad sandwich. It was delicious. I rate a 10 out of 10. But for me, having Little Kings beer on the menu made my day. Beautiful place, highly recommend stopping there.

Top notch experience. Great service at the bar. The egg salad is an absolute must. Don’t question it. Just do it. Chicken thigh dish was fantastic. To top it off, the cheesecake was the bomb. So good, we ate here twice in two days.

We had amazing and creative drinks here after a day of distillery hopping. Their menu is full of amazing food served small plate style. We loved the Panisses and the spring vegetables!

Food was amazing! Panisse and cheesecake especially! Also, patio is dog friendly which was so nice!

The best distillery tour we have been on so far. Our tour guide Mary was awesome. I liked how you tasted bourbon throughout the tour, not just at the end. The grounds are beautiful also.

Love this place. Chose to sit outside on a gorgeous day. Stopped in for a drink and snacks. The food was amazing! Especially for a vegetarian, there were tons of options which is rare in this part of the US. Also plenty of yummy looking options for meat eaters. More of a snack/sharing plates menu. I would have ordered every single thing if I could. We had brussel sprouts and spring vegetables. Neither were what we expected but so delicious. I really felt like I was on vacation here.

The Bar at Willett is an absolute must when in Bardstown. I make sure I get a trip to Bardstown while in KY selecting barrels primarily for this, even over the distilleries! Food is amazing, the whiskey is out of this world, and the cocktails are truly artisan crafted by true mixologists! If you go on a Saturday make sure you get the burger!

For a place that is world renowned The Bar at Willett has a small hometown quality about it that is very nostalgic. The bartenders are long lost friends and the owner might even be sitting next to you and say glad you are here. This is the best experience I have encountered in the bourbon world and I highly recommend The Bar at Willett. Ask for Katie. She puts a lot of energy into your experience and rolls out the red carpet for you not to mention serving up some of the rarest bourbon in the world.

A great place to enjoy some of the rare Willett. I haven't found many places that have the 'purple tops' for a reasonable price (depends on the individual). I'm glad that I got a chance to try a couple more. The egg salad sandwich is also a must try! Our bartender, Katie, was super cool and very knowledgeable of the items.

Alright so this place absolutely lives up to all the hype. It feels high end without being pretentious and there is considerable attention to detail given to their cocktails and food menu. The drinks were delicious and the food was absolutely outstanding. Unfortunately we had to zoom out in under an hour to go somewhere else but I would love to return again and spend a little more time.

We had a great time at the bar. The food menu is not big. A little fufu but good. Really neat vibe with an open kitchen. Obviously a lot of purple tops and other options for drinks. As expected the purple tops aren’t cheap. But worth a visit for sure.

The egg salad may have its own insta page but the chicken thigh is the best dish in the house. Have a sip of the 15 year bourbon as well. Worth it.

Absolutely phenomenal food. On par with the best restaurants out there. We tried almost everything on the menu, and every single item was exceptional. This is a must-try, whether doing a tour or not. Well worth it; you will not be disappointed.

An amazing experience! The craft that goes into every plate and drink is a sight to behold!

Service was fantastic and the food was somehow better. We had the broccoli, olives, cheese plate to start. Great flavors and good amount for the price. Lunch was chicken thighs, spicy and sweet, crunchy and juicy. All the things you can want from a bite of chicken. Egg salad sandwich because it came highly recommend. We all loved it. Bread was a perfect match for the egg mixture. We finished up with the cheesecake with apricot sauce and the carrot cake with a French press. All around fantastic meal.

A visit to Bardstown KY is not complete without dinner and drinks at The Bar at Willet. The food is superb, the cocktails the tastiest, and the atmosphere perfect for date night! We have been here 4 times in the last year and are trying to figure out how soon we can make it back again!

My wife and I had fantastic early dinner and cocktails at the Bar at Willett. The ambiance is personal and relaxed. We loved that from our table we could see the bar with the bartender making cocktails and the kitchen with the chef preparing food. The small plate servings are perfect for eating with cocktails and had very large portions. We had five and couldn't finish, despite how great they were. All were really good, but the spicy chicken thigh pieces and the pate were our favorites. If you're drinking and snacking, you must get the cashews. The cocktails? Fantastic! I only hope they expand hours now that COVID is hopefully mostly behind us. The kitchen closes at 6pm as of September 2022.

We ordered egg sandwiches, chicken thighs, and squash! We were really satisfied with our choice. Anna was really friendly and kind.

Disappointed first trip and was sat outside. Server was slow and unavailable when we needed her. Didn’t love the cocktail she recommended. Overall experience was a let down after the raving reviews we heard about. The cheese board was good but overall just an “ok” experience.

If you have the chance, eat here! One of the best meals I have ever had. We ordered the egg salad sandwich, cashews, broccoli, and cheese board. I will be dreaming of that egg sandwich long after our trip! Of course, the bourbon and rye flights are also amazing, but if you came to Willet you probably already knew that. Treat yourself to this fine dining experience.
