Had tried to eat while I was down here a few times but was grateful to work with GM Steve Wilson and they were able to kind of customize a special dinner for me because their menu had changed. Definitely the biggest wine list I've ever seen and they have a cool little cellar room, but you can pretty much find any wine from Oregon but they also have about a third of their wine from old world. The chef is very good at plating and presentation and everything was cooked to Perfection and Mark might server was fun and interactive and great to deal with. It's definitely pretty dark and a larger style room so if you want a little privacy there are a few booths but the view is of the trees and a little of the coastline closer to the window. A really good value at 125 for 5 courses and your dessert plate comes with four different tastes. Amend interacting and going to this location and making sure you make reservations especially late spring through early fall and I definitely will be going back before it gets busy again. Thank you so much for the special experience and flexibility. They do offer 3 and 4 course options, as well as make your own choices, which makes it under 100. trying to upload pics..

Was honestly one of the greatest dining experiences I ever had. We got the 5-course tasting menu and it was absolutely outstanding. Every single dish absolutely blew us away. We also requested a wine pairing and were recommended an equally breathtaking bottle of Bordeaux. The service was incredibly attentive and made our dinner feel incredibly high-class and quality. There is no comparison to the experience of The Bay House.

Went with a small group a few days ago, the food was great, the atmosphere is lovely, and the experience overall was fantastic. You can tell the level of effort and pride put into the dining experience here. Mark was a great server and the new chef Conan provided a beautiful spread. I would recommend to everyone!

The bay house is a culinary treasure we are so blessed to have on the Oregon Coast. Since 09 our family has enjoyed the culinary journey that is created here. The owner steve has gone above and beyond to uphold this reputation and continue to provide the absolute best. The kitchen is now run by head chef Conan. Im sure if you are a patron you knew and loved Kevin and this would be an immediate concern. But rest assured Conan is quite the pleasant surprise. We found his approach to the classics and new twists to the flavors refreshing! Everything was cooked beautifully and presentation on point. Speaking with Conan I have no doubt he will be the new rising star out here and I can not wait for more! It was so exciting we have already booked our next visit! Congratulations to Steve for finding Conan and his new team. I can not wait for our next visit!

Every aspect of our experience at Bay House was top shelf, from the moment owner Steve greeted us, to our last sip of ice wine. An absolutely delicious 5 course meal served elegantly by Leonard with perfectly selected wine pairings made this easily the highlight of our culinary year on the Oregon coast. Wish I could give 6 stars!

This was the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had. My wife and I went there for her birthday on the 25th. The staff treated us like royalty. At first, I was a little overwhelmed with how incredible the atmosphere and how amazing the staff treated us. I feel like such a jerk because I can't remember any of their names. The gentleman who greeted us at the door and took our jackets was so incredibly warming and friendly. He made us laugh and feel comfortable. We have never been to a plash like this, so we were unsure of proper edict at a play like this. The staff was so patient and understanding. The waitress we had was freaking awesome!!! She helped explain everything to us and was so attentive and patient. The food and wine were absolutely incredible. We were unsure at first because a lot of this stuff was so fancy compared to what we were used to. Thank Goodness for branching out our horizons. It was flavors and textures I have never had before that created a wonderful melody of flavor. I had the Duck for my entree and my wife had the Steak Filet. It wasn't just the food that made this place wonderful, it was the entire dining experience. I just want to personally thank the entire staff. Wow! Came here off season and were blown away by this restaurant. Tasting menu was amazing and well worth the price of $125 for 5 courses. Huge wine list with great depth of Oregon Pinots and reasonable prices. The owner was gracious and made several table touches and took us on a tour of their incredible wine cellar. May eat here a second during our stay at Salishan!

My friends and I were served the five course meal. Everything was delicious and done so perfectly. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very nice.

LGBTQ+ friendly! Went there for my anniversary and the staff was super friendly. They had “happy anniversary” confetti on the table. The owner and head chef was so kind and checked in on us a couple of times. The food was amazing!

I am writing this review because we spent close to $300 for a meal that did not live up to its hype. We booked this restaurant for dinner, because we had a great meal a few years back and were financially ready to sacrifice again. It all started well. The appetizers, pork belly and clams, were very good. Unfortunately, the caprese salad was flavourless and I suspect it was because of the low quality cherry tomatoes. The main dishes were also a disappointment. Although the halibut was a good portion, it smelled very fishy and the pork was overcooked. But, it ended well. The chocolate cake was not too sweet and the cocoa used was of good quality. Overall, a mixed bag and definitely not a meal that was worth close to $300 (tip included). If you want better quality food, Tidal Raves Seafood Grill in Depoe Bay is a much better choice and you get the view, too. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× This is a follow up comment to the review above. I want to publicly acknowledge the courtesy call received from Mr. Steve Wilson, the owner of the Bay House at Salishan, regarding the review above. For the price, this was the worst value I’ve ever experienced. Won’t be back. Manager did nothing to fix our cold and tasteless steaks.

If I could give it five stars or more I would give it the highest rating. It was an unforgettable, absolutely wonderful evening for our table of six family members. The food was literally the best I've had in a long long time. We enjoyed the seven course tasting menu along with paired wines.

What can I say...we dined at The Bay House back in 2019 and haven't been back since as Covid put a damper on many of our local trips. I was looking forward to this dinner and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We will return again and again. I recommend this place to everyone. If you're looking for a quick meal, this is probably not the place for you. The attentive staff were always on hand with water refills, taking plates away, had answers to my questions about ingredients, and were overall a delight. Go to the Bay House and expect to spend a good amount of money. I'm not saying this to deter anyone from going; I'm saying this as this is a dining experience and it is by no means cheap and quick. Our dining experience lasted over 2.5 hours. The extensive wine list is impressive, and the menu selections are mouth watering. We opted for the tasting menu, and we are extremely happy we did (although I know if we chose the three-course or four-course option we would have been perfectly satiated with that as well). What was nice is that neither my husband nor myself enjoys scallops (which happen to be one of the items on the tasting menu), and they accommodated our dislike by swapping for halibut (which is probably my favorite fish). This was so nice of them to do. Six courses: an amuse bouche followed by salad, halibut, duck, beef filet, cheese, and dessert. There were no bad courses here. EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL. We opted for the wine pairing and it was very nice to have a curated wine list to go with each course, and I might add, all three were very good. Everything was cooked to perfect and the flavor combinations were excellent. I can't say it enough - dine here if you have the chance.

One of the best meals of my life. The staff were friendly, detail oriented, and helpful. When I made the reservation and let them know it was for birthday, they surprised us with cheerful confetti. The food was a wonderful combination of traditional and experimental gastronomy. My recommendation is try to make it to dessert... it's well worth it. Their homemade ice cream is better than Salt & Straw.

My husband and I have been searching for this red carpet ride of a trip through flavor Wonderland... since we left South Africa. Not just for special occasions, but you made my very first "Unbirthday" one of the happiest events I'll remember for all the years to come. There aren't words that can truly capture the rare feeling of rapture and delight, I found myself more than once - glad to appear to be sedately looking out the windows, as I was wrapped in layers of passion you can taste from the kitchen. It's truly something that takes you away, like a story takes flight in the reader's imagination, every flavor had a place, every nuance was right, the din of conversation and the choice of the music - right down to being found, like two lost souls at the front door from the most humble, and kind owner I've ever met of any establishment. If I had more stars, I'd give them... alas. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for not just the meal, but the adventure from the moment we crossed your threshold. It won't be the last time you see us.

The service was amazing, the food was outstanding. The ambiance was a little on the plain side, but maybe just right. Music was perfect as well the lighting. We were there for a company dinner and they had planned the entire menu just right. They did an amazing job.

A perfect evening of food, family and fun: Our waiter Peter and the owner Steve greeted us at the door. The service was perfect. The menu items are all wonderful and the wine list is endless. We brought our own bottle of wine and we had it promptly decanted and served up right. There is no question the owner strives for perfection. If you frequent the Central Oregon coast and dine here once you will be hooked for good. Premium food prepared and served perfectly matched with an endless list of wine ranging from moderately priced to super premium select simply cannot be beat. Cheers. Update: We dined Jan 9th, 2023. Another stellar meal and wine. The clams and ravioli appetizers, beets salad, seared duck breast and the tenderloin were to perfection. The sides were equally interesting. We had a memorable NYE dinner last night at the Bay house. They had a set 5 course menu that was fantastic! Every bite was a delight. The staff literally couldn't have been better, starting with the front of house, and our server Shawna who was the best! We will definitely be going back. The whole night was perfect from start to finish, I highly recommend going if you haven't!

We had not been to Bay House since they moved to Salishan Resrt. We went for New Years Eve Dinner last night. What an awesome experience. Steve greeted us with a hug and it was so good to see him. He was anxious to know what we thought of the new place. Well, we felt right at home. Our waiter was friendly, warm and extremely knowledgeable about the food we were served and very obviously proud of the food. It was obvious that he loves his job and who he works for. Every person who had a part in serving us was awesome and very friendly. Steve came over multiple times to chat and to make sure we were happy. And the food...OMG...the food was so awesome. And the presentation was so awesomely unique. There is so much talent and knowledge in this restaurant...wine and food. It was an awesome way to bring in the New Year. Thank you so much Steve for fitting us in. I cannot wait to come back. If you want awesome food, awesome, friendly service, knowledgeability about the food you are being served with such unique presentation, then you need to try the Bay House. You will not be disappointed.😊😋

If you’re looking for fine dining near Lincoln City, you won’t beat the Bay House. Steve and Mary were phenomenal hosts and Pete was very attentive and brought a level of professionalism to his craft that is rare to find. We didn’t catch the name of the older gentleman who was working the door in place of Steve, but he was a gem who shared some amazing stories. The staff was world class and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing thru the Oregon coast.

Top notch from start to finish. Service, food, atmosphere - all of it! The six course meal was amazing, and I highly suggest it for those with an appetite.

The food was overall very good, but our meal ended with desert that was not up to the same standard as the rest of the food. It could have been intentional, but the lady finger in the tiramisu was hard and not soaked in espresso like it should be, although the cream part was the best I have ever had. If you are a wine lover, their wine list is more of a wine book. Expect to pay at least 110 a person and more if you order drinks plus tip.

The best dining experience I or my partner has ever had. We had dinner there in February of 2021, and we still think about it frequently 7 months later. Every nuance of the experience was perfect. Can't wait to go back next month!

Although, for us this was a special meal with friends, it would be the perfect environment to celebrate any special occasion. The service was absolutely impeccable. Their wine list is extensive and the prices range from a nice bottle($$) to extremely high end ($$$$) and they are happy to make recommendations. The menu is set up for a 3, 4, or 6 course meal. We did the 4 course which include a starter, a salad, an entrée, and dessert. The 3 course is an entrée and any other 2 courses of your choosing. The 6 course is a Chef's tasting menu, all 6 are their choice - don't worry about missing out it's all wonderful food!

To think that this place exists on the Oregon Coast is close to unimaginable. World class service and food. Glad to see fine dining holding it down

Good service and menu. Tasting meals 3, 4 or full tasting. $78, $88 or $100. 3 and 4 course are 2-3 mix appetizer and salads and 1 entree. Full tasting 1/2 size of all equal to 1 1/2 entrees. Lots of food but nice selection. Wines extra $8-15 per glass. Nice view but not direct of ocean. Nice restaurant for a night out. Bar also available before or after for drinks in lodge. Don't miss this opportunity to have a great meal.

Bay house is delicious 😋. The portion size for each course is a good size. You either leave stuffed or your taking goodies home. Presentations of the food are so beautiful; you almost don't want to eat it, but when you do, it has perfect texture and flavors. The staff are wonderful. They welcome you like family and are so accommodating. Everyone wants you to have the best experience. The view is beautiful. I highly recommend it. 👌

We have been going to the Bay House for years and in spite of a big move and a pandemic, Steve has managed to maintain the best restaurant in Oregon. Now at Salishan Lodge, it’s just extraordinary. The food was phenomenal. I was very satisfied with everything. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and helped my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had clams which was well seasoned, a fresh salad and some pork chops and carrot cake for dessert. The portion sizes were surprisingly large. I didn't finish the pork chops or the carrot cake.

Nice atmosphere, fancy expensive food, but your definitely paying for the fancy, you might leave Hungary.

I hadn't been to Salishan for a number of years, but it was a true delight to visit for New Years Eve dinner! We had a fantastic six-course set-menu meal at the newly remodeled Bay House. Our hosts had been regulars at Steve & Kevin's old location on the water, but this was everyone's first visit to the new spot. From the inventive amuse bouche (that tea!) to the whimsical and slightly decadent dessert, every single element was a hit. While the group was split on the scallops (I loved them), we all raved about the tenderloin. The Muscovy duck was the best I've had. The service from Steve's team was just right- very attentive, but not intrusive. And as always, Steve is a warm, authentic, and engaging host. We will definitely be back!

6 months ago I came here and it was an exception meal. Yesterday I was honestly let down. The duck was over cooked, the bread seemed store bought, the scallops had so many other ingredients it over shadowed the main dish, the beets were watery. The best thing we had was the free cheese appetizer. My thought is that it seems like the chef left because the food just didn’t taste seasoned. Also BE WARNED!! the staff wear these clear face shields that don’t protect you from anything. The wine list is exceptional and as I said before, the food 6 months was really great but maybe come eat here when they get their operation in order.

First and foremost you won’t find a more robust wine list then this, best in the state... You’ve got expect the best when it comes to the Bay House. We dined the last night before renovations. Steve is exceptional and I’ve never seen more attention to detail. He makes sure to greet you, accompany you to your table and make sure everything is set perfect! Kudos...

We had a really nice dinner here with great service. We had the tasting menu and it was really really delicious. Great wine list and help selecting by Steve. Server was Sierra and she was right on top of everything and very knowledgeable about the food.

They have a 3 course and 6 course fixed price menu. Portions are generous and well prepared. We had the 3-course. Selections pictured include a beat salad and a halibut main. Offered was a wine paring with the 6-course, but didn't work well with the 3 and our choices so we picked a separate bottle from their very extensive selection. We visit the Bay House for an occasional treat.

Sublime. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu at The Bay House. The room was comfortable and spotless. There were no substitutions allowed or wanted, each course was prepared perfectly, the wine pairings were thoughtful and spot on. Our server Ray, was attentive and friendly without being fawning. The owner Steve, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Nothing could have been improved upon.

When I made the reservations, I was expecting a nice dinner with wine, however The Bay House exceeded my expectations. The entire staff was so nice! We ended up doing the 3 course meal and the wine menu was spectacular. My partner is from Europe and he has never seen a wine list like The Bay House in Oregon EVER. He was grinning ear to ear as he flipped the pages. We ended the night with a drink and the staff were so accommodating. They did not try to rush us as the midnight hour approached. I am still dreaming of the pork belly appetizer. We will definitely be coming back.

I rarely give 5 stars...but The Bay House definitely deserves it. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. It was soooo much food... Soooo much delicious food. We ended up hurting ourselves because we couldn't stop eating. I highly recommend the tasting menu. They have a pretty extensive wine list also....well not really a list but a wine binder with a table of contents.

From calling to make my reservation to the moment we walked out the door, Steven was a spectacular host. My partner and I were looking for a nice place to get dinner on a long weekend getaway and this place exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic. Candlelit tables and low lighting with a rose in water at each table. We chose the 6 course option with the wine pairings. The A La Carte options seemed lovely, but for about $50 more we thought the chefs menu and wine pairing was well worth it. The food was flavorful and varied; the wine paired well to sip on and complemented each course. We will absolutely be back!

We were very impressed by everything The Bay House offers. We walked in and were greeted by someone who called us by our name before we could tell them who we were. They just knew somehow. Every course was delicious as well as 5 star appearance. The pork belly was a highlight, outstanding - don't miss this dish. We were celebrating a milestone and we even got sprinkles on our table! We were so excited to eat here for our first anniversary. We had heard good reviews, but we were blown away by the service and food! Both my husband and I believe that this was the best meal we have ever had. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We chose the 3 course menu, and each got an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. We paired this with a really nice French Rose and an 18 year old scotch. For gourmet, the servings are quite large. The pork belly and pasta were very good, the halibut was an enormous filet,, and the duck was really tasty. For dessert we had the matcha creme brulee and flourless chocolate, which were truly decadent. The owner helped us choose an amazing Sherry Cream to go with dessert, and we ended up buying a bottle. We would highly recommend the Bay House for anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion. They certainly made it memorable and fun.

My partner and I have celebrated our anniversary at The Bay House every year we've been together (5 years now!) The wine list has to be one of the best on the Oregon coast. They take good care of you here. As for the food, it's excellent. My partner is vegetarian and they always have one entree that she can order -- it's always perfect. I'm an omnivore and everything from their beet salad to the filet mignon is at the level you expect at a place like this. Try and save room for dessert if you can, because the chocolate mousse here is incredibly decadent. As an added bonus, the entire grounds of Salishan are a mid-century modern gem for those who enjoy architecture. It's worth visiting this place just to enjoy the thoughtful, timeless design and spectacular views, even if all you do is order a drink or two.

Easily the finest dining establishment I’ve visited in the state of Oregon. Greeted with a smile and seated with a fresh rose. Amuse bouche was refreshing. Two options for the prix fixe and deviations for children, many thanks. The wine list is just as extensive and well curated as any Michelin starred establishment, maybe more so. You would have to eat here all year to get through the Oregon Pinot Noir section. The attention to detail in every course was astonishing and the flavors where very rich with fresh ingredients. Kudos to the staff and chef. Cocktails were incredibly well made as well. We will be returning.

Had a great time at the Bay house. My wife and I came to celebrate our 33rd anniversary! The owner (Steve) and his wonderful staff were awesome. And the food, oh man the food…just make a reservation and a special thanks to our server Sierra.

A little disappointed vs expectations. Don't get me wrong, it was good with a friendly staff as well, but it's trying to go for fine dining and the dishes didn't always deliver that in my opinion.

They never fail to impress with outstanding service, delicious food in a great setting!

Great selection of food and an extensive offering of local and international wines. If you want to sample all the food, the tasting menu is your best bet! Definitely a wide variety of flavors to taste throughout each course. Make sure you have an extra stomach for dessert courses!

We splurged and did the 6 course tasting meal. I have been to many nice places and this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Every course was amazing and unique. I was with 7 other people and we were all impressed

All the meat was cooked very nicely however the vegetables were either overcooked or absolutely inedible (eggplant) halibut was very good

Wow... just wow. It has been awhile since we have been able to do a full chef tasting menu since the good ole Covid took over our lives. Let me just start out by saying that this place is an absolute must attended if you love high quality food and new flavors. This is a family owned restaurant located on the Salishan Resort property and the staff does an astounding job at making you feel like family. They do a great job of trying to customize the evening for the customer, with very knowledgeable staff and a wine list that would please even the most snobby wine critique. We had the 6 course chef meal and our waiter helped us pick out two highly drinkable reds. A pino noir and a meritage for our evening meal. I have posted a picture for most of the courses below. However, we did get carried away between the food and wine as we did not take a picture of the cheese course, which was a great medium between the rich steak and savory deserts. If you are staying at the Salishan Resort, my wife and I highly recommend you treat yourself to an evening at The Bay House.

I don't even know where to begin. First, Steve is AMAZING!! I called day of, to see if they had any available openings, on a Saturday, the night before Valentines Day. Steve went the extra mile and was able to find us an opening. Then we got lost on the way there and when I called, Steve helped us with directions and was understanding of us being late to our reservation. We had a party of 4, one of us who is severely allergic to dairy. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary restrictions while also allowing her to experience the incredible food, they same way the rest of us got to. Each of the courses was a culinary masterpiece. Chef Kevin took our taste buds on an unbelievable adventure. Everything was so good by itself but even better when you took a bite of everything at once. First we received a complementary dish of smoked salmon from the chef. Then we had clams, gnocchi and pork belly. Next we had beet salad. My husband, who has a strong dislike for beets, even loved it. If that doesn't say everything about this place, I don't know what will. Next we had duck and beef, it melted in our mouths in the best possible way. Last we finished it off with dessert. I had the best sorbet I have ever had in my entire life. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. Great food, exceptional service, beautiful atmosphere. Thank you all for a wonderful night.

To say I was amazed would be an understatement. Our 6 course chef’s tasting menu was foodie heaven. Our server Becky was helpful and knowledgeable and our overall service was impeccable. The food is what dreams are made of. The courses were small plates but very satisfying. I was full at the end and even had most of my desserts left to go, which means that my culinary adventure was extended. The courses were beautifully plated and I loved trying the ingredients alone and in different combinations. Each plate had so many different tastes and textures with combinations that were inventive and unexpected. It was a treat to have experienced the delectable offerings that Chef Kevin and Jon created.

Great experience. Location has been moved to the Salishan Lodge for the time being. Had the 6 course meal/wine pairing. Great size portions! Great pairings. Many different elements and complexity to each dish. Dessert sampler at the end was great as well. Will be back!

I was very skeptical about going here with the prices. No doubt they are more expensive but they are absolutely worth it. The service was excellent and so was the food. You're going to spend the money but you will absolutely enjoy the food and service.

We had an amazing experience at the Bay House! Everything was delicious, the soup , some kind of corn chowder was one of the best things I have ever tasted. We were there for our 25th anniversary and they made it a very special evening. The whole staff was wonderful! Can't wait to come back

I ordered the coconut prawns, they were so good I almost ate myself sick! The steamed clam appetizer was fantastic as well. We also loved the fries, they were more like potato heaven.

Absolutely incredible experience! We did the tasting menu with a bottle of Pino Gris, it was a fun and light atmosphere focus on the flavors of the food. Incredible fresh menu, perfectly cooked and they had the perfect table set up for our anniversary and fun confetti for the table. I was laughing and smiling the whole time! Great experience!
