TL;DR: great coffee, not enough counter space for the Sunday rush can easily confuse orders, either take names or put full orders out and not piece meal them. Coffee is good. But the barista’s need help. The counter is too cluttered for the Sunday morning rush. They need more counter space to put orders out. As well a better way of telling orders apart. Today, I put my order in, and it came out. Little to my knowledge a group ordered in front of me before walking in. The order wasn’t mine, even though I pointed and got a head nod.

The drinks at this place are always great and the owner is very nice but the service varies GREATLY from barista to barista. Very strange experience today. I walked up to the window to place an order and recognized it was busy inside so I stood patiently for about 4 minutes. I said good morning (loud enough) but received no response. I decided to step away from the window, place an order on my phone and sit down. I told the gentleman behind me he could step up. Within 30 seconds one of the barista’s greeted him, took his order and completed the transaction. Next a woman stepped up, she was greeted and placed her order as well (large iced coffee). Thirdly another woman stepped up and was greeted, told the barista she placed a mobile order and is currently being served at this moment. Maybe I wore the wrong color scrubs to work today or forgot to put on deodorant.

I’ve been coming to the compound for months now and the quality of the coffee is always consistent. The coffee tastes so fresh and authentic, it is very hard to go back to any coffee shop after trying the compound! The staff is very nice and the lounge area is so great to sit and get some work done. I highly recommend!

I think this place has some of the best flavored lattes in the area. I have tried 3 or 4 of their unique flavors & been super impressed every time, they all have such different tastes but still can taste the coffee. Not too sweet or artificial. However, the staff loses them a star. Unless you are someone they know, they act like you are bothering them ordering.

Very beautiful space and good service. It was pretty calm though there's a good amount of traffic. A couple campers (people working on their laptops) It smells really good when you walk in and there's a lot of trendy seating. I would love to give them 5 stars but the food was subpar. I ordered a chai latte which was passable but not great (pretty watery) and some pre packaged blondie bites which were $15 and don't taste great- bad texture, dense, and not flavorful. Overall very visually aesthetic place but not great for coffee and food, super expensive. It's worth a visit if you're just looking for ambiance but not if you like good food/coffee. I could get better tasting treats at Wawa.

A fantastic find! Great coffee and atmosphere. Delicious cinnamon scroll too. Worth leaving the highway for. Crisp and homely “library” space to enjoy alone or with children. Local cute craft creations also for sale.

The staff here are some of the best people in the world. Well raised people that deserve more. This place has great coffee, customers, and employees. The word that describes these people is intelligent.

Have their cappucino because the barista knows what she's doing.

The people that took our order were very nice, however the owner of the shop walked in and was extremely rude. That lady has no decorum. She was talking bad about customers she was servicing in the gym while there were customers waiting for their coffee orders. Then tried to backpedal when she saw us watching her. Please be better.

Hard to believe there is a better combination of coffee, cookies, and community to be found. The classes are definitely worth a try too.

The cutest, quaintest coffee shop you will ever see! I love small businesses, because they take such care and devotion into handcrafting every drink, and you can see why And if you can’t decide you can get a flight! The tiramisu, and the Italian rainbow cookie are definitely my two favorites!

Found this place on Instagram. First off, the location feels like secret hideout, definitely look out for the signs to find it in the building complex. I got the cocoquito latte which was overall good. My bf got the mocha latte. We were satisfied but felt something missing. I got a parfait which was typical. My bf got the banana muffin which was very dry and unsweetened. The pastries are definitely catered to the gym connected to the coffee shop.

A nice place to hangout, it also has a cute study lounge.

An amazing place to rest, work and delicious drinks

It’s a cute shop kind of hidden in Verona. I had a machiatto shot. That was strong and tasty. Then we let the barista choose the drink for me. She chose the tiramisu latte. It was creamy and sweet but not overpowering. My children had hot cocoas and they said it was just the right temperature and taste. So if you’re looking for a good coffee spot, here is one to try.

My husband and I have been coming here for years and now my daughter loves it too. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and the iced matcha is the best around. Highly recommend!

I've been a a customer of The Compound Coffee Co. since day one and have to say how much of a pleasure it has been to watch this business grow over the years. Brian & Dani and their entire staff always go above and beyond to make their atmosphere pleasant, cozy and welcoming. This local gem is the "Cheers" of coffee shops, where everybody knows your name. Good vibes, great coffee and superb service are undeniable here.

Been going here for the past few months now, best coffee i’ve ever had! The hall and oats is usually what i get and they make it spot on everytime! Really great place to do work and hangout with friends. Staff is super friendly and owners are amazing!

I am absolutely shocked! I was in this coffee shop a few days ago and when my coffee was served to me there were 2 hairs inside my coffee. Cleanliness much? This is unacceptable because i would like to assume that the place i trust to get my local coffee is clean and cares about their customers, apparently not!

I am flabbergasted!! As a patient that was in the doctors office I saw this lady who I presume is the owner storms into this doctors office and starts screaming saying who came asking for a certain girl and said I’m from this coffee shop. She was being very loud and rude because someone left a bad review on their site. This is extremely unprofessional I had the flu and had been dealing with weakness and headaches and sickness for multiple days and out of nowhere she comes storming in making me feel and the other sick patients even worse. This is not a way to conduct business and this owner needs a reality check. It’s a part of life to have a bad review or two on your business there is no need to come into a drs office and start screaming at people. Completely unprofessional!! I hope all goes well for this business but you need to understand that there are sick patients who have more severe things going on in their lives that don’t need to hear a owner storming in and yelling!

I normally order iced coffee from here frequently, but today I ordered a coco coquito café late HOT , and it looked like someone already drank half the cup. I brought it back to the pick up window and I showed the girl there, she asked me if I wanted more milk in it? I said where is the coffee? she said she can only add milk if I want. the cup wasn't even filled half way! I should've taken a picture. This is unacceptable costumer service since the coffee is pricey enough. I will not be buying coffee here anymore.

Last year I moved to Verona and The Compound Coffee Co is the best coffee spot I’ve found thus far! The atmosphere is tough to beat, they have a beautiful lounge room for you to work, relax, and enjoy your coffee and/or treat. The vibes in this place are also tough to beat! They have a beachy, fitness, but modern vibe to the coffee shop which I love! The coffee is so well made, you can really tell how much work goes into making your drink. Depending on your price range and drink, the coffee may be a bit pricey but for the quality and service you receive, it’s totally worth the price. You could buy a coffee here, or at starbucks for about the same price so I definitely recommend making the trip here over starbucks. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful especially if you need alterations to your drink like I do. They have a large variety of drinks to choose from and the menu is always changing with the season which I absolutely love! They have several options to order such as online, through the pickup/order window or you have the option of going inside which I highly recommend! They have a large selection of home, gift, and apparel items inside as well as coffee bags for purchase. I’m so very happy with every experience I have at The Compound Coffee Co. Thank you for your great service, coffee, and for sticking around here in Verona, I’m never disappointed! 😁

Love this place! Atmosphere & music is amazing, lots of unique flavors to try coffee ~wise (Italian rainbow cookie latte?? It was amazing !) and staff is so friendly. Don't live nearby but would definitely make the trip down to visit this coffee shop again!

We had our daughter’s 10th birthday party at The Compound, and Dani and her staff absolutely hit it out of the park! 20 girls, and every one of them had a blast! The Compound Coffee Company has an incredible vibe, and also happens to be my favorite place to stop in and get coffee!

What a sweet little discovery. This is a coffee shop, a place to hang out and work and a place to even work out. Great coffee selection great atmosphere inside you would not expect to find a place like this where it is located. They’ve done an excellent job of decorating.

Been visiting the USA for years and this is simply the best coffee shop I have found. The coffee is excellent and the Flat White the right size, sharp and creamy; not the bloated milky drink so common over here. A quiet, chilled vibe with comfortable seating both indoors and in a conservatory. I’ll be back – as often as I can make it!

The cafe is located in a dead end zone, quiet and relaxing to enjoy a little moment away from the traffic and crowds. There's a cool small outdoor patio with plants. Also, a library lounge inside with vintage boho decors, which is suitable for anyone to work, study, read, or hold private events. Variety of caffeine choices are also a plus. I came there majorly to a coffee flight, which was a cool idea but I was not impressed. Not too good not too bad. I hope they can have more pastry options.

Well curated vibe of "almost California" that would hit harder if the plants were real and it wasn't in an industrial complex (compound?). It's a great transformation of the space they've got. The drinks were nice but the prices were tough to justify for some items. An espresso shot is $3.25 but if you want milk and ice it's $4.50. The pancakes seem better priced. My smoothie was good but over $10. There's wifi and pop music playing through the seating area and small store. The outdoor space is next to the gym and their music.

Checked all the boxes. Lovely place, bohemian vibes, and the espresso was great. I got “The Zephyr” which was pretty much a dirty chai latte with homemade honey flare & the babes got “Strawberry Milk” which tasted like strawberry milk yahoo, a shot of espresso, and ice….yummy but too sweet for me. Perfect little gem in this town that is definitely worth trying.

Gorgeous space, and huge sitting area inside that's good for groups and kids! It's actually connected to a physical therapy practice and their workout space so you can also buy some fitness gear, and grab a coffee after your class!

The Compound in Verona NJ is a gem and one of the most surprising "nooks" to discover. A combination of things will make you feel like you are on vacation somewhere in the Caribbean (or anywhere you are expected to see white sands). Delightful music, cozy covered area, AMAZING staff and best of all, the humble family who own it and strive to accommodate anyone looking for a healthy lifestyle.

The staff was super helpful and helped me create my own creation. My drink turned out delicious.

Compound is a great place to go and grab a variety of excellent coffees. The sitting areas are very cozy and the vibe is great! Would definitely recommend stopping in.

Stumbled on this place since it was close to the fencing academy. A 4.9 rating, so thought I'd give it a try. So glad I did! I couldn't find the door at first since you need to walk through a cute outdoor seating area. I thought it was a restaurant so kept walking by. Go thru the sitting area to walk in a cute little shop attached to a PT place. The menu is creative, staff friendly, and coffee smooth. Much better than Starbucks or other big box places. I had the tiramisu latte iced. So good it made me smile. Sat outside and had their blueberry muffin, which was also tasty. What a hidden gem! I'll certainly be back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! My now fiancé booked my proposal in the back library and WOW it was soooo cute. I love the vibes of this place, it makes me feel like I'm more costal and not in NJ. This is now our spot and I couldn't be more grateful. The staff was so helpful and friendly!! Oh and the fact that the coffee is excellent doesn't hurt :) totally recommend this place for just relaxing or even booking an event!!

Love this coffee place. Always come here with my girlfriend when we can. The staff is always very attentive and the drinks never disappoint. The air quality and lighting of the coffee shop is 10/10 for those concerned about those sort of things.

Very cute little coffee shop, the coffee flights are worth the visit! This was their winter flight, and the sweater weather was delicious, it was an earl gray tea hot chocolate. The only thing is you can't mix the flights with other flight flavors and you can only get all hot or all iced. But love the vibe, if it wasn't so far I would be there every weekend!

This is one of my favorite places in the world. Just moved to town a few months ago and tried this place out. The lighting aesthetic and energy in the place is awesome. The gym next door is incredible and I love the idea of a fitness studio/gym and coffee shop being together! The outdoor seating is where my daughter and I usually hang out and play games while the playlist is always a good fun mix. The indoor library lounge is incredible and stunning. Looks like a cool spot to host a private event after hours! My daughter also loves the dogs the owners have there and always wants to see them. I’m not a big coffee guy but I love my tea and matcha so this is why I go there. Made to perfection.

The Compound Coffee Co. in Verona, NJ is a place that just gets it. I had their oat milk latte and damn, it was good. The prices are on point and the atmosphere is refreshing, clean, and chill. If you're lucky, you might even get to meet the awesome owners who bring their passion for coffee and hospitality to every customer. This is a spot that I would definitely come back to.
