The food was excellent, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was incredible! I even forgot my sweatshirt at the restaurant and the waiter found me to return it, which was so kind. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and cannot wait to return

We went to the Crooked Pine for a late dinner last night. We had a reservation but did not seem like we needed one. The hostess barely said a word and seemed to be annoyed that we were there. The waiter we had was very friendly, which was just about the only redeeming part of our meal there. The food was mediocre, not worth the price. We had Brie toast, kale caesar(not like a traditional Caesar) and stuffed haddock/shrimp. The main thing that stuck with us was that bathroom was disturbingly dirty. I understand throughout a busy night it May be hard to keep up with, but it was like a bomb went off in there. If the staff does not care about the state of the bathroom, just makes you think about the cleanliness elsewhere in the establishment. Would probably recommend somewhere else to eat if you’re in OGT.

The Crooked Pine is located at the old Gypsy Sweethearts on Shore Rd in Ogunquit. The new owner has a great chef who creates a small menu focused on local, in-season ingredients, masterfully flavoured. The pork tenderloin with kimchi was melt in your mouth, and the chicken wings were soooooooooooo good. Recommend sharing the cast iron corn bread, with its layer of honey and hot butter!

We really really like the Crooked Pine! We came here with a big group first and sat outside. It was lovely, great service, wonderful food, and wonderful drink selection. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The second time we came we elected to sit inside. The food again was delicious and the wine we had was a great choice to have on the menu. I would happily return and recommend this restaurant. It’s our go to for out of town visitors. My only complaint is how loud it gets inside. I would ask to sit outside if you are easily bothered by loudness and would like to converse without having to speak up.

Lamb shoulder is divine. Octopus could be a little bit more tender. Parsnip seems to be chef’s favorite root, but surprisingly pairs well with the dishes.

Very cute place, Great food! Service was ok. It’s a very small place located in an old house so seating it’s limited and some tables are located in narrow areas. There’s no parking so you have to park around the corner at the public parking and pay the meter; this parking has a flat rate during summer season and could be hard to find a spot. I will recommend going in May before the peak of the season starts.

This is the best restaurant in Ogunquit. The menu is creative and a departure from the typical touristy food. Great atmosphere in an old house. Great cocktails. The stuffed Haddock was fantastic. Our server was friendly and attentive.

This place is top tier in Ogunquit. Named after the iconic tree on the Marginal Way. A well curated menu demonstrates the passion of the people here. The great service and atmosphere makes you feel like you got a good value as well.

Last night my group of 11 people had dinner at The Pine and it was beyond amazing. The food, the cocktails, the wine, the atmosphere, the service, etc. etc. etc. I just can’t say enough. We are locals and know all of the downtown restaurants. Highly recommend The Crooked Pine for an amazing dining experience. P.S We shared a bunch of things including the cornbread, ricotta app, chicken wings, the steak entree, Haddock Picatta, Chicken Milanese and Baked Stuffed Haddock.

The first thing you realize when you walk in is this restaurant used to be someone's house. The dining area is literally the living room. Once you get past the charm of this old house, you realize the food doesn't match the up. The food is good, but perhaps not as good as you will hope. My favorite is the Brie Toast. But you shouldn't have to go to a place for bread and cheese. It's generally a good idea to come to this place with a person you like to distract you from the mediocre food and high prices.

Great food and service! An old house turned into a restaurant. Stopped in for a light lunch and we shared the cutlet sandwich and was pleasantly surprised it was all gluten free. Excellent cornbread, also GF. We were told there is a cool bar/lounge in the attic but didn't get to see that.

The Crooked Pine is a great new opening on Shore Road. The menu selections all sounded great, tough to choose just a couple of things. I saw some great looking appetizers like the mussels and lobster newberg. I’ll get those next time. I had the scallops and the beef carpaccio - both prepared with skill and incredible. The service at the bar was an A+ (Cody) and it genuinely appeared that the entire staff worked like a strong team to effectively service guests. Definitely going back. Went back again for the 5th time now. Still awesome. Had the Scallops in a Champagne sauce with Brussel Sprouts, pancetta and gnocchi. 👍🏻 Just tried a new menu item. Best dish ever. It’s one you come back for over and over. Bar service downstairs and upstairs equally great. Stuffed haddock with Sherry lobster sauce was killah. Very good!

We ordered seafood chowder, the buratta and prosciutto plate, and a fried fish sandwich with broccoli salad, and bloody marys. Everything was fresh and delicious and the drinks were crafted perfectly. This visit did not disappoint!!! Our server was kind, friendly, attentive, understanding, knowledgeable. One of the best servers I've had. The atmosphere was clean and romantic and cozy. We loved it, thank you!!!

If you’re looking for a phenomenal dinner spot in Ogunquit, you have to check out The Crooked Pine. The menu is on the smaller side. However, the quality is unmatched. They incorporate local and in-season ingredients in their dishes. It’s what I would consider farm-to-table. They have a solid selection of appetizers. You’ll see dishes like Blue Fin Tuna Poke, Crab Cakes, Cola-Brined Chicken Wings, Prosciutto with Burrata, Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, Roasted Carrots and Parsnips, and French Fries with gravy. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, they do offer a small selection of soup and salad. You’ll find Leek+Parsnip Soup, Seafood Chowder, Caesar Salad, Garden Salad, and a unique Grapefruit + Avocado Salad. If you’re looking for a solid handheld/sandwich, they have a small selection. You’ll find Maine lobster rolls, short rib grilled cheese, Fried Cod Rachel, Italian Sloppy Joe, and Croque Monsieur. Handhelds are served with coleslaw, sea salt chips, dressed greens, or broccoli salad. If you’re in the mood for a burger, they do have three unique options. Classic, Mushroom and Swiss, and Crooked. The burgers are 8-ounces and are served with your choice of side. The entree section of the menu is phenomenal. They offer dishes like short rib bourguignons, cod+chips, creamy mushroom rigatoni, gnocchi di carne, seafood-stuffed shrimp, seafood-stuffed cod, and buttermilk fried chicken. We decided to enjoy the cool fall night and ate on the patio. Our server was incredibly attentive and always on top of things. I ordered the Cola-Brined Chicken Wings. They’re tossed with sesame gochujang, scallion, and cilantro. The wings were perfectly cooked and juicy. The sauce the wings were tossed in is incredibly flavorful. It does have a bit of heat to it, so I wouldn’t suggest it for those adverse to spicy food. My guest ordered the Crab Cakes. They were cooked perfectly, not overcooked and not overly greasy like most places. The crab cakes are made with lump crab, dressed greens, and a beet remoulade. If you’re a fan of fine wine and craft beer, they have one of the largest drink menus I have ever encountered. The drink menu online is over 120 pages long! I would highly suggest the Crooked Pine to anyone visiting the Ogunquit, Maine area. The food was top-notch and I loved the incorporation of local and artisan ingredients. Service was phenomenal as well. I look forward to returning very soon!

I was staying nearby at the Juniper Hill Inn just to get away. I wanted something to eat that evening but not a full dinner. I saw another woman's favorites from the appatizers on a review after I googled restaurants in my area and I got the same thing she had.. Yum Onion soup duck wings and everything was delicious. I can't remember the last 2 things I ordered but it was too much food for me. Juniper Hill Inn Ogunquit Maine closes soon. Low rates online . Great restaurants. Pool and jacuzzi 👌 Very nice !

Wow this place is fantastic! We were lucky to snag a table before the dinner rush on a rainy Monday. Every detail of the Crooked Pine is spot on. The interior is elegant and welcoming and fits so well into the general vibe of Ogunquit. The menu is innovative and interesting and so incredibly tasty. Cocktails were fantastic! We split the Eastern salad and Brie toast to start followed by the stuffed haddock and chicken Milanese. Everything was AMAZING! I’ll be dreaming of that Brie toast for while. So good! Excellent place for a date night or just a nice break from the usual fare of the area.

We have been 5 times, and now have our favorites. The duck wings, brie toast, and french onion soup are simply the most tasteful things in Ogunquit Maine. All the entrees we have tried, are good. But those three appetizers make every trip magical. Don't miss them!

This place is one of our favorites in Ogunquit. Every year, we try to come twice so we can sample more of the menu. It never disappoints! They have a great range of drinks and all their food is so good. We especially love the potato leek soup, the mussel app (must get), the cornbread, side of carrots, and the scallop entree. Service is great and the prices are reasonable. Can’t wait to be back!

Good, flavorful, food but the poor, slow service and other issues made the evening meal less than enjoyable. Started with the ducks wings. They were really good with a nice kick. They were the best part of the evening. The French onion soup was ok but only warm - which will the reoccurring theme of the evening. As a main, the beef bourguignon was flavorful and tender but not hot. And the lamb was the same - flavorful but warm. The desert menu was sparse and not enticing. Finally, the service was slow, and worse, non-attentive. There are plenty of better places in OGT.

Absolutely incredible dinner experience. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. Specifically, the bartender was very helpful, and assisted my wife in selecting a non-alcoholic beverage that would still be exciting (she's nine months pregnant as of the time of this review). The maitre de was flexible, able, and willing to seat us early. Oftentimes, nicer restaurants won't give a second thought to their beer offerings. Not the case here at all! Solid choices from Maine Beer Co. and Bissell Brothers were available- just to name a couple. Starting with appetizers/salads: The cast iron cornbread was just… scrumptious. It was paired with a hot jelly and a butter that we couldn't get enough of. My wife's salad with miso dressing was also a huge, huge hit. Expertly dressed, and everything in the salad made perfect sense. For main courses: I went with the special- scallops and bacon over a bed of creamy polenta. The polenta was just the right consistency. After I finished up the scallops and bacon, I ran pieces of the aforementioned cornbread through the polenta. The scallops were just right, and had a seasoning on them that was creative and tasty. The bacon was delicious and crispy, though admittedly I prefer a more moist bacon, if it's going to be thick cut. Wife's bucatini caprese was perfect, as well. Just the right consistency on the pasta. Dessert was two scoops of tiramisu ice cream that we made quick work of.
