This place is everything you hope it would be if (like me) you have driven past it on a daily basis but never took the plunge despite a burning curiosity. I have now had a number of fancy coffees, smoothies, burritos, and other items just in the last month as it is close to my place of work. Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - is great. The espresso drinks are expertly pulled, the food feels homemade, and the staff are genuinely friendly. I am always reluctant to review a place I love in case it increases wait times, but would love for The Filling Station owners and team to continue to do very well.

Great food. Super friendly service. Food is quickly made. A real and unassuming gem in Sparks. Oh, and always look at the specials.

One of our favorites. The espresso drinks are excellent, the food and pastries wonderful. Great tamales. Noelle is delightful.

Always a great stop whether on 2 wheels or in a cage. Take out in the front, dine in from the rear entrance, or enjoy the patio tables. So many hot and cold beverage choices, breakfast is exceptional, and coffee is great. They do have a restroom out back by the Egg grill.

Service amazing however the burrito was not good. Very dry , no flavor and overall disappointing

We stopped at this café to grab some coffee. We wanted to go inside, but there weren't many seats available. The reservation system for these seats wasn't clear, because I waited outside for about 20 minutes without anyone coming out. Everyone seemed to be sitting inside, eating pastries and snacks, but no one seemed eager to leave. Some were even working on their laptops. It was strange because it was raining outside. People finished their orders but still didn't leave. I recommend to everyone that before going to this café, order everything online because people were pulling up and picking up orders. If you buy on the spot, be prepared to wait a long time.

Here for a week, this was the do not miss food spot hands down. Delicious, beautiful backyard dining room, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Just absolutely a gem of an eatery.

This is a wonderful little unique coffee shop. They have great breakfast foods and pastries. A selection of coffees and teas that's sure to please. It can get very crowded on weekends when the weather is nice so plan accordingly.

Very small place inside, just a couple tables but nice decorated; there's some table outside as well. Food was good, but I didn't like those grain flour tortillas, I'd stay on the regular flour tortillas or try another brand if they want to keep the grain ones.

I was told this coffee shop would be able to serve up a coffee just like I got back home in Australia 🇦🇺, and they didn't disappoint. The service was great, and the way it was furnished was nostalgic. Great coffee, and the food was just as good. All very well priced. Highly recommended if you are in the area and need a coffee fix.

This was my first time here and I have to say the food was delicious and the coffee was great. I've been past this place at work countless times, should have made my way in sooner.

The coffee is good and the staff I've dealt with were nice, but the food is underwhelming. I've been a few times and have never enjoyed my food. Today my girl and I got salmon on a bagel and it took a while to come out and when we finally got it the bagels weren't even toasted. It took that long to smear cream cheese and lox on a cold bagel? I'll skip it for now on.

Filling station is my ride or die favorite and has been for years. The food is always amazing. Even though we’ve moved fairly far away my partner and I make it a priority to come out for weekend treats. Truly one of my most favorite places in Maryland! Lately I have felt a little frustrated with some of the service. Orders have been wrong or missing extra (paid) items. Not sure why this keeps happening but I’ll still keep coming back. No add ons for me from now on though.

Great coffee shop with great cold brew, delicious pastries, and smoothies. They also have breakfast and lunch that I would definitely come back to try. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in town.

We stopped here on a whim heading up 83, and we will definitely be back. The service was fast and friendly, the drip coffee was delicious, and the food options were great for a roadside cafe. We ate on the road, but there was plenty of seating outside and inside. I love how they maintained the integrity of the old gas station and gave it new life. Just by looking at the regulars who go there, I can tell it’s a beloved shop.

I come here almost every other day for lunch. I cannot recommend their lunch burrito enough; it is beyond delicious. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and if you come often enough, they will remember your name. It's a wonderful cafe to grab a quick bite on the go or unwind in their cozy atmosphere or beautiful scenery on their patio.

Stopped and had lunch here, great food, great service, nice outdoor seating and cool old gas station turned coffee shop / taco joint. Highly recommend. Only negative I would say is parking can be limited especially on the weekend!

The feeling station introduced me to mocha chai lattes and I've been having one every day since. This is a great establishment and if in the area you definitely need to stop by.

A nice little surprise to find this place. We had huevos rancheros and a breakfast burrito with sausage, both very tasty and a couple of coffees. If I lived anywhere near this place I would be there all the time. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

A local favorite with all the homemade & heartwarming feels & tastes featuring specialty drinks and mexican dishes. The outside is as unique and special as the staff & the food. Grateful to have this stop close by & a must for anyone driving through the area.

Only ordered a coffee but this place is a hidden gem! It should have 5.0 stars! Anytime I’m in this area I’ll be stopping in for sure.

Best service, food, and coffee! I live rather close to Starbucks and other coffee shops and still choose to make the drive to The Filling Station. If you haven’t tried it out, do yourself a favor and head over here.

I visited this cute coffee shop more than 5 times while visiting Maryland for work, and the service and items ordered were consistently great time and time again. The coffee is delicious, the decor is unique and transports you to an older time, their pastries are soooo fresh, and they were even able to make a vegan breakfast burrito for me upon request which I ate outside under the shade of beautiful, mature trees, all while listening to the sound of birds singing and water running in a creek that runs behind the shop. I wish I could have brought this charming coffee shop back home with me!

First time here. This was possibly the worst quesadilla I've ever had. Dry, tough chicken and almost no cheese, which wasn't even melted! My friend's lunch wasn't good either.

Good service at this roadside coffee shop with Mexican food. Very pleasant outdoor eating area out back. Convenient to NCRR and perfectly sited for my bike ride. Sausage burrito perfectly fine.

Not only is The Filling Station cute & fun, but has some of the best Mexican food in the Mid-Atlantic. Their menu is pretty amazing for such a small place. Each drink is better than the last; my favorite (tough pick) is the Mexican Hot Chocolate (cold version Mayan Iced Mocha). The staff is exceptional, highly competent, friendly, helpful & so fast I personally believe that they may be former Olympic medalists. It is obvious this is a good place to work & in my experience, employees treated well are invested in what they do & the good "vibe" doesn't exist at establishments that aren't well run, have good customer service, or have mediocre products. There is absolutely no reason NOT to try/frequent this place!!

A fantastic coffee place! Good coffee, pastry and service. A quaint ambiance - the place used to be a filling station some 25 years ago - the owners did a good job at keeping the vibe and making it cozy! Outdoor sitting is available too.

This place is a hidden gem and a local fav! The location is beautiful and the creek out back makes the experience just that much better. I love that they repurposed the old gas station and kept its historic charm. They have adapted and continue to adapt during Covid. I’ve always felt safe when stopping by. Their tacos and burritos are delicious! Try the hot chocolate with two shots of espresso. Wear something cute - many photos ops!

I drive an hour out of the city to go to this place. The Breakfast Burritos are mind blowingly good, and the coffee is great.

I have been going to The Filling Station almost daily since they opened . Fresh baked goods are wonderful and great Mexican food as well as soups and sandwiches. The bucolic setting is a nice respite. Go there after a bike ride on the NCR trail.

I love this place. I drive down from York PA because I love the coffee and the tacos so much. The creek running behind it is an added plus it's really relaxing to sit down with a great coffee and just have some conversation and listen to the water.

The Filling Station is the BEST in the area, for food and COFFEE! I adore the staff, atmosphere, and Meg, the owner. Great spot to enjoy for Friday Night Pizza or Pork, too. I can’t wait to hang out inside and play cards, read or work again!

Always terrific food and coffee

My go-to for coffee on the way to the office- and pretty much any other time! Was an awesome place for meetings and live music before COVID and hopefully that will return soon. Garrett, Taylor, and the rest of the staff are super friendly and you’re more than an order ticket - you’re family.

I love the Filling Station. Everything I have eaten there, has been delicious and they always use the freshest ingredients. I love their Brisket Tacos & Chicken Quesadilla. Taylor always greets me a big smile and let's me know if they have something new for me to try out. I highly recommend this place. Love it!
