Great menu with Greta food sourcing. Cozy atmosphere. Great service. I need to come back to try more dishes

I have been here twice and oh my gosh, the food is divine! So much thought goes into the fresh ingredients. I always get an old fashioned and it is done so well. Service , staff , atmosphere are fantastic. This place is a gem. Highly recommend coming here.

What a wonderful time we had in our favorite place in mt Dora! Mike was wonderful, knowledgeable and super friendly. Food is always so good. If you ever come to mt Dora please visit this place! You will not regret!

A Mt Dora, Florida Gem! If you're anywhere near Mount Dora Florida, about 45 minutes outside of Orlando, the goblin Market is a must stop! The whiskey-based French onion soup was to die for, the burgers, the salads, the ambiance of the place was amazing. We went there during lunch time I needed to swing by for a night photo which was unfortunately blurry, so I borrowed one from online for you guys to see outside at night. So much character!

Probably the best or one of the best meals I've ever had. Our waitress, Austin, was superb.

The food and the service were both EXCELLENT!!! The restaurant has several different rooms and levels to it. Definitely a place to go in Mt Dora if you are visiting for the day!

We enjoyed lunch today with 11 close friends at Goblin Market. The service provided by Michael was exceptional. The food was delicious and several of the Kraft cocktails were enjoyed, as well. The ambiance, well if you know you know! Couldn't have asked for more! Great job!

Today, can we just say that Katt made our experience absolutely amazing. So glad I celebrated my birthday at Goblin Market and had Katt taking excellent care of us. You can bet we will be back!!

Very good food, service, and atmospheric.

We came here after a wedding reception. The food is amazing! The staff is very accommodating and so attentive 🤌🏻. We went to eat outside because they were closing in an hour and we hadn't made a reservation. They let us sit outside thankfully. It was gorgeous in the back patio. There were lights on the tree and Chandeliers hanging from the branches above us. It was so romantic and intimate. There were a few visits from nature as it was outside, and my husband was overheating. Apparently, he'd had too much to drink at the wedding reception we were at prior. I don't know if the host on duty thought that I wanted to come inside, because of the little visits of nature, but I was totally fine with where we were. I prefer private and intimate settings over a bunch of people, even with the visits from nature. My husband on the other hand was dying, you could see the sweat drenching his shirt. To the staff, thank you for letting us sit inside, he was acting tough, so thank you. I highly recommend if you go out to eat while visiting Tavares, Florida please come here. Also, make a reservation too. You won't be let down. Promise. Also, the visual aesthetic and the food are amazing. I wish we could have seen upstairs. I do enjoy taking photos. Here are the few I did get though. Thank you for the wonderful visit!

From the moment we walked in everything was perfect. The atmosphere, service, the drinks, the apps, the food, the dessert. Phenomenal. Our waiter was outstanding.

Stopped in for lunch since we were driving through. The food was good, my husband had the mushroom marmelade burger, I had the cashew chicken sandwich and their bam-ba-lam spirit-free drink, which was very good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The 3 stars on the service are for the restaurant overall. We waited 40 mins for our food, which is fine if everyone waited that same amount of time, however, the other tables right around us got their food at the same time that ours came out, and they'd arrived 15-20 minutes after us. We notice these kinds of things, not sure if others do, but for this reason, we're not so sure that we'll be back.

We have been to goblin market many times and had a great experience. However, tonight our experience was subpar. The seating area was extremely loud with people talking way too load, the service was average at best, and the food was not good. Next time, we will probably sit at the upstairs bar and have appetizers only.

The Goblin Market Restaurant & Lounge is an eclectic bistro offering a menu from around the world in a quaint setting with a courtyard. Located in historic downtown Mount Dora, Florida where lunch is always first come, first served. Reservations are highly recommended for dinner. Atmosphere, staff (Austin, our server) and food quality was excellent! This restaurant is the best! Their dinner entrees include the New York Strip, Filet Napoleon, Prime Ribeye, Rack of Lamb, Cheshire Pork Chop and more.

The food was incredible. The simplicity of the beef stroke burger was incredible and the fluffy crispy fries. Steve was our server and he was incredibly a beat and professional. Hubby had the warm salad with chicken and he thought that was amazing as well. The sangria was really nice with the touch of cinnamon. Definitely will go back in the atmosphere is just saying something.

Definitely a place to return to! It's a quaint little restaurant in Mount Dora, Fl. The food was delicious! Our server, Chris, explained that everything is made fresh from scratch and that the chef has been with them for over 20 years. Many hand crafted drinks too, the Johnny Appleseed old fashion was great! The menu is extensive and the portions are large. The crab bisque was delicious, creamy, and thick, full of flavor with a hint of sweetness. The bar menu had great selections at good prices for those looking for a less expensive but delicious meal!

05/11/2024 - My husband and I visited for the first time for our 30 year anniversary. We had dinner reservations made for 6pm. *Dinner reservations are highly encouraged. Dinner menu is based around several entrees to choose from. They do not always have the same entrees week to week. Our meal was tender, fresh and served in a timely manner. Tony, our server is a well seasoned server for them for 15 plus years and it shows. He thoroughly explained the dinner process and went over the menu options. It's a very clean and cozy restaurant with seating inside and limited seating outside. This was a special dinner occasion for us. We would love to return to visit their lunch menu in the future.

Had lunch with a friend at the upstairs bar area. Couches are gone and now there are several tables. Much quieter in this area, service was great/ quick, and the salmon was cooked perfectly on my strawberry salad! 😋

Been here a couple of times now, and I must say this place is super cute and unique. Love the home library feel to the dining area. A good variety of things to choose from. We started with the bread and red pepper butter which was 15/10. So so so good. I don’t even like red peppers and I practically licked the board. The Irish onion soup was really great as well! 10/10. I love a good ceasar with anchovies. And this one definitely did not disappoint. The carpaccio can use some improvement. Maybe adding balsamic or truffle or something along those lines, just needed a little more. The steak and veg was cooked perfectly and I loved it. Finished this dinner with a 10/10 crème brûlée. I will be coming back and trying more things.

Delicious and creative cocktails. Excellent entrees! The cheesecake with guava and pineapple topping was one of the best desserts we’ve ever had!

I really love it!!!! I loved it, the girl who served us was excellent, very kind and friendly, the food was delicious, the atmosphere and unique style! We were a group of 8 people and we were all very happy!

Quite likely one of the best dining experiences in Lake County. I've been going there for a little over 29 years, and have eaten every item on the menu at one time or another. The seasonal decor changes are always lovely. I haven't ever had a bad meal at this place. The cocktails are well crafted. The servers all aim to please. The lounge upstairs is top notch, very cozy. A pleasant atmosphere all the way around. And they are always very accommodating!

Mother’s Day is always very nice but this year we went to Goblin Market Restaurant. SUPERB! It was quite an experience. Ryan, our waiter, was on top of his game. The food was so delicious. Kudos to the chef. The bar served very nice cocktails. We’ll go back for sure.

Unfortunately based on the interaction with the blonde hostess, I am going to say don’t come to this restaurant. There are so many great places in mount dora with actual amazing customer service. I had to change my toddler’s poop diaper and requested a bag so it didn’t smell up the bathroom and I could take it with us when we left. I figured I was being courteous. I asked the blonde lady and she lied to me and said they did not have any bags. She is saying this as I see a table putting their dessert in a brown bag. Also, I find it unbelievable that a restaurant doesn’t have to go bags. She stated “ Honestly we tell people to go find a trash can outside” I was shocked by that. I am suppose to leave my table with my toddler and walk around outside to find a trash can? I looked when we left and there was not any trash cans on the street. If I didn’t have hungry family with me, we would of left right then. Its hard to believe this is a restaurant that has “great service” seems pretty unprofessional to tell your customers to search for a trash can somewhere else . I would not recommend this place. The hostess ruined our experience.

We had lunch at the Goblin Market during the Blueberry Festival in Mount Dora. The Irish whiskey onion soup was really good, a great twist on French onion soup. We also had the grilled bacon and cheese sandwich, which was very good also. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very engaging and provided great service. Definitely would eat here again if we're in Mount Dora.

We shared a hamburger and salad. Absolutely the best ever. Can’t wait to return. The jam on the burger was amazing and the salad beautiful, tasty dnd yummy

Phenomenal meal with fabulous service! We shared the Crab Bisque Soup as an appetizer and then devoured the Fall Harvest Salad with Salmon and the Strawberry Salmon Salad with Goat Cheese for lunch! DELICIOUS and highly recommend!

5 Stars all the way around. This is a fantastic location for a great lunch with friends. The atmosphere is very quaint, charming, relaxing, comfortable...I could go on. I am so glad a mutual friend recommended it to us. Our server explained that everything is made from fresh from scratch and that the chef has been with them for over 20 years. I started with a nice craft beer and a bowl of the Irish Whiskey Onion soup. The soup was very good although I used my knife to cut through some of the cheese and fried onions. My bride ordered a sangria and a mushroom burger. The savory chicken sandwich with fries was ordered by two of us and the Philly sandwich with fries was ordered as well. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we had no room for dessert. While our meal for two cost over $80, it is a bit on the pricey side if you decide to have 2 beers, a sangria, soup and 2 sandwiches. But it was worth it! This is a great place to dine. We dined on the main floor but you should check out the bar and lounge upstairs as well. Or outside. Just loved The Goblin!

3 people for lunch, 25 minutes for a ticket time. Ordered Cashew chicken came on a generic hamburger bun, French dip with "no onions", you guessed it came with onions, ruined the experience. Too bad, could have been nice

What? The Goblin Market? ABSOLUTELY!!! Go out of your way to stop by and try them! We had a phenomenal time! Stopped for lunch and seated on the second floor of a nice size dining room. Our server, Mohamed, was amazing - attentive, knowledgeable, creative, funny! The food was delicious! I want to call out the crab bisque - it is different from what I have tasted before - and it only elevated my experience! So freaking- good, I scraped the last drop out of the bowl. The ciabatta - don't miss it! The burgers - oh so good! Books on the walls give such an intelligent vibe... Courtyard seating, back yard tables... Beautifully decorated! I can't wait to return for dinner!

If you decide to go to the Goblin Market, expect excellent food and service. The cauliflower appetizer and the chocolate desserts are just two of my favorites. If you enjoy outdoor seating, the back patio is adorable and private.

Wow what a neat place. Off an alley with string lights, check. Interior is like a private library, check. Great server, thanks Britton! Great food, check. Full bar, check. It’s on the pricy side but it’s worth it since it’s a great value. I liked the upstairs bar area because of the high ceilings. Basically the opposite of a chain restaurant. We went when they first opened for weekday lunch and got right in. Dinner is not so easy I hear to get in.

We sat upstairs. There is also downstairs and garden dining. I love the strawberry salmon salad with toasted coconut. My husband had the French dip and it was also very good. Love the decor, like a candlelit library. I try to get here every time I am in Mt. Dora. Walk in for lunch, reservations recommended for dinner.

This is my favorite place in Mount Dora, and I have been coming here for years. I brought some friends here when we were in town for a girls' trip to celebrate some birthdays. Our server, Ryan, overheard me talking about birthdays and kindly brought my friends desserts to help us celebrate! The food and service here have always been excellent, and we appreciate Ryan going the extra mile to make our visit special.

Phenomenal food and service. Best grilled cheese I have ever had! It was the perfect lunch to end a girl’s trip. Peaceful and charming with a great atmosphere. Ryan was our waiter and he was excellent.

My husband and I’s first time trying The Goblin Market and we loved it! We had some drinks, the onion soup appetizer, mushroom burger, and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was so delicious! The service was also fantastic! Our waitress was bartending and still on top of everything taking great care of us. We can’t wait to go back!

Well, when someone introduces you to a restaurant in the third person and tells you they are fine dining, you will question it quickly that it isn't. I can't imagine a Michelin Star restaurant boasting about itself as fine dining before you see the menu. Well, unfortunately this is not fine dining. It, is in all respects, overpriced decent food. It's not great, but if it was 30% less it would be worth it and I'd would have certainly given it higher stars. We unfortunately had to return our dish of undercooked pork which they promptly took care of. Our waitress even went out of her way to not charge us for the meal - she did us right. The atmosphere is beautiful, as though you are in your grandfathers study eating with friends. And the two last issues, no bread to start your meal, and no espresso! We could not believe it and we wondered how could that be with all the international clients coming from South Florida expecting a good beginning to their meal with bread and a good coffee to finish their meals. Oh well... a good place, not great, fine dining no, I don't think so.

Solid, but some dishes lack in preparation. While the crab bisque was delicious, the artichoke heart appetizer had some stringy portion, the fat in the duck was not properly rendered and the vegetables a bit "uninspired".

Nice place to visit and enjoy a meal. Pulled pork special was very tasty and filling. Service was very good. UPDATE 02182024. Here again for some great lunch or brunch. Had the French Dip, it was very good and filled me up. Always good service

Excellent food, very unique atmosphere. Waiter appeared not able to keep up. Ordered desert, my friends came right away. My check was paid with decent tip yet my dessert never came. I offered it to a lovely lady at the table beside me and told the waiter whom didn't seem to care. Will I go back, yes! Food is excellent!

Had a wonderful lunch in the afternoon on a Friday celebrating my mother’s birthday. She had the cashew crusted chicken sandwich on brioche bread with fruit, I had a Mushroom with Swiss cheese burger and fries! Everything was so delicious and service was fantastic! I wish I could remember my server name and give him a shout out, my apologies Always a good relaxing time at this restaurant My “go to” while in Mount Dora !!

This was probably one of the best dining experiences of our entire trip, which included a Cruise!!! The food was sooooooo good! Like, lick the plate, good! We started off with muscles and crab cakes, both were cooked perfectly! Great crisp to the crab cakes, and the muscles were so tender, the coconut garlic cream it was swimming in was so delicious! I had the chicken while my friend had the duck breast. Both were also amazing. Seasoned perfectly! The creme brule for desert was to die for and the perfect ending to a perfect meal! All portions were just right, we left perfectly satisfied without being overly stuffed. The restaurant itself is such a fun, warm environment, quiet, surrounded by books, there was even some trivia cards nearby that we used to entertain ourselves before the food arrived. If you're in the Orlando area and want amazing food, go out of your way and come out to Mount Dora! <3

Loved the food and service was great… everything we had was truly delicious! We’ve eaten great food all over the world and we were pleasantly surprised at how good this place was! Who knew Mt. Dora was such a charming little town with gems like this?!? Wish we had taken more pics… this was the octopus appetizer half way through!

Brought my sister and her fiancé here, knowing this place never disappoints, and yet again—the food and drink were *chef’s kiss* 🤌🏼 We had the ciabatta board (amazing) while we enjoyed our drinks. From start to finish this is one of the best meals we’ve had. The restaurant itself has an incredible atmosphere that is very different in such a cool way. We ate up stairs and it’s as if you are eating in a cool little library. The bar and lounge area look like a great spot for a drink. Dinner was absolutely incredible! We had the carpaccio, mussels, escargot, duck breast, crab cakes. Everything was excellent and I love the way they time out each course. You don’t feel rushed and can enjoy a nice, relaxing evening. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Ryan our waiter was wonderful when we dined today for lunch. Husband's first time and he loved the Irish Whiskey Onion Soup and French Dip sandwich. I had the quiche n salad which was delicious. Thank you Ryan for telling us about this place's history, food suggestions and great service!

We stopped in here for lunch on our 40th wedding anniversary and decided to return for dinner that night. Mohammed at the bar makes a fantastic martini and Bloody Mary. Izzy, our server, was a true professional. We each ordered rack of lamb for dinner. It was the best lamb we had ever had.

Firts time in this restaurant food super delicious yes is priced but is fine dining food so you pay for and amazing taste experience thanks for the chef and cooks for the unique experience and of course our waitress izzy wonderful costumer service and the place is very cozy and relaxing.

The burger was average tasting. I paid $20 burger and fries. We were told they buy food and support local farms/farmers. They've been in business/same owner for 28 years. Our waitress was a disappointment. She was nice but her service was below average. The wait to get our food seemed a bit long time. (Compared to the people around us.) I will mention the people sitting around us had a top-notch waiter. He was on the ball. I didn't get his name but overheard him carrying on a brief conversation about a visit to Scotland. Because of him, I gave 3 stars on service.

Over the last 21 years, I have come here on a regular basis. I can not remember a time that has been less than outstanding. Dinner for two with drinks was not really expensive. Actually reasonable. The truth is it was absolutely outstanding.

One of our favorite restaurants in central fl for sure. The vibe, the food quality and service are consistently top notch. The best cesar salad, always get the anchovies on top!

Today was our 1st time eating here and the food was amazing! The ambience was beautiful and the staff was wonderful! Our server Mohammed was fantastic! He was so attentive and sweet with our son and dogs! He truly was the best server we have had in a very long time! We can't wait to come back here!
