Road side. But ok. Nice people. Food. Well, lunch menu had 2 Burgers and 2 Chicken Sandwiches. Ordered the Chicken Sandwich. They beat that chicken so hard that there was hardly chicken. In that sandwich. Inflation I guess. Saving money on chicken.

I am an “ connoisseur” of a good Eggs Benedict, and I have found the holy grail at the Rail! It is a bit of a hike away from where I live year round but absolutely worth the drive up. The atmosphere is incredible. A very small inside, and a bit of a tight bathroom but overall amazing

Decent spot for brunch. Small and fills up quick. Big shout out to our waitress who handled our 4 wild kids with a smile.

Not great. I had the breakfast burrito which was basically bland eggs and some steak in a wrap. It was supposed to have pickled radish, cheese and picante sauce but I had to open the burrito up to look for them, there was a scant amount of each (see pic attached). Hash browns were basically store bought frozen ones. Coffee was weak, and they did not come back to check if we needed a refill. They charged us for items that were never delivered to the table and they also add a 4% "Provision" charge to all bills...which was not mentioned in the menu. This is unethical at best, illegal most likely.

Fantastic breakfast, amazing service, and with outdoor seating, the trifecta is seen here at the rail. Could not be happier.

Awesome place for breakfast - I had the chocolate chip pancakes and my wife had fresh toast - we sat in the outside patio and it was just an excellent morning. Our server was super friendly and very good! Definitely recommend this place if you are in the Orleans, MA area! Oh yeah - get the home fries - they were excellent!

Clean and cute dining area with a nice outdoor area. No complaints from anyone at the table and the "Brunch" Wrap special was amazing. Adding The Rail to our favorites on the Cape.

The brunch burger was delicious! Also had a fun mimosa flight, staff was great and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone in the area!

The service was fast and friendly. Coffee was perfectly made. I order Benedict Oscar and everything was cooked perfectly! The asparagus was cooked to perfection with the sauce on the Benedict had the best flavor 10/10

SENSATIONAL! Attentive service and care to detail help start my day off right as my landscape crew and I filled up on their outdoor patio. The Breakfast Burger was filling and flavorful with a hashbrown on top to make it all that. The Blueberry Pancakes were sweet and buttery with a little lemon for a nice tang. And the coffee with sweet cold foam is the best coffee in Orleans imo. I'll be back!

Greeted by Becca, I assume I spelled it correctly. Very friendly service as soon as you walk in! Bloody Mary was absolutely bangin' that she made. Breakfast shots after my meal were damn good too! I had the Irish Benny which was absolutely awesome with homemade everything. Definitely going back when in the area.

Went for my birthday with my two kids age 10 &. 12 and my hubby, had the most wonderful brunch, and our server Chloe is amazing, she really paid attention to us and gave us a wonderful dining experience!! Ask for her!!

We went with another family, and everyone food was great! The kids freaked out over the pancakes, the adults had no complaints.

Absolutely the best breakfast! The corned beef hash was amazing, hash browns hot and delicious and the eggs perfect! The service was exceptional and we were very very impressed!

My go to spot when I'm on the lower Cape.

I am a super picky eater and I eat out at least once a day. Sometimes three. Obsessed with eating out is the proper phrase. This place was absolutely phenomenal. Across the board. Food, service, atmosphere and fairly priced. When it comes to breakfast spots on Cape Cod and I can confidently now say there is a big 3. In no particular order… Buttercup Cafe (Barnstable) The Rail (Orleans) Pie in the Sky (Woods Hole) The Rail 👌🏻🔥

The food was phenomenal, the service impeccable. Particular shout outs to the Steak and Egg burrito and Breakfast burger! The Rail was busy, but our server (also serving as hostess, bartender and master of ceremonies) saw to us quickly and was very attentive. The excellent service, food, and atmosphere will certainly have me returning to the Rail.

A quaint little restaurant that is the embodiment of the relaxing Cape Cod ethos! The service was fantastic with our waiter, Matt, was super attentive. The food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the Classic Eggs Benedict.

Local breakfast place but with dreadfully slow service. It wasn’t especially busy when I went and ordered pancakes and a side of bacon, but it was almost an hour for the food to come out. When it did, my guests hash browns were cold, which the kitchen replaces right away, but the server never came by to see if everything was ok. Sorry to say, would not come back.

We didn’t realize we had showed up 20 minutes before closing but the staff didn’t say anything and sat us without an issue. They have a really fun menu with unique combinations. Their outside seating was lovely, we went really early so it was still a little chilly out. I had an aperol spritz and their apple egg croissant sandwich and I absolutely loved it. Any boyfriend got their burger and devoured it.

An excellent place for breakfast!

The Sammy Special was so good it's a crime that it is a special and not on the regular menu. Will be disappointed when I go back if it's not available.

Delicious food and staff was fantastic. Recommend the Apple Croissant to everyone.

I should really branch out from the apple croissant breakfast sandwich but it’s just too delicious!

I’ve been here a few times for breakfast and every time it’s just been “ok”. Homefries are frozen from a bag (I think from Cisco). Their hollandaise is from a dried pouch (not homemade), and having to pay for toast with my omelet is a sad money grab from the owners. Pancakes and French toast are tasty, and their sandwiches are creative. Service is ok, front of house is very laid back (slow). Servers are nice but forgetful. For better food and faster/more attentive service, try Homeport. But The Rail is good in a pinch.

This is a great little breakfast spot. It's not necessarily a hidden gem as the locals know it's a great spot so get there early!! Food was delicious!

Food was good, long wait to get in....told 20 minutes...ended up an hour. But service was fast, food was good, waitress very personable and friendly.

Wonderful experience, learned of The Rail from an article in The Chronicle. Friendly and attentive owners and staff, great service and amazing food. We sat outdoors which was really nice. Our Bouillabaisse and Pasta Primavera were excellent. The tasty bread and home made flavored butter were a nice start. What a nice surprise - will be back next year. Thank you!

Just wonderful food - we ate a few dozen deep shell Welfleet oysters, and for an entree seared tuna ending with a delectable cheese cake. Great owner great staff many thanks for a fun evening.

Great breakfast - corned beef hash and apple croissant sandwich were top notch - and delightful staff. Several locals, (definitely regulars) sat along the bar, chatting with the staff. I always look for those folks as an endorsement, particularly at breakfast spots. We’ll definitely will be back.

This was such a cute spot, in such a great area. There were some good vegan options! The outdoor seating was lovely in the summer weather. My husband says that The Rail served him the best (and most filling) Eggs Benedict of his life.

A beautiful spot in Orleans along the road to Nauset beach with seating both indoors and on the patio. I love the unique and delicious food options (Apple Butter Croissant is a favorite of mine!!). The environment is relaxing and welcoming, perfect for a summer morning. A special thanks to the owners for taking the time to say hello and talk with our table!

The Rail is the best!! The food is absolutely delicious - everything I’ve ever gotten there makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Besides the food being wonderful, they create an incredible dining experience. Their staff is always kind and gracious, even when I’ve noticed them having to deal with some very difficult patrons. It’s a perfect place to stop for food and their raw bar is incredible. I always have to stop for oysters after crawling off of Nauset. From my times dining there it’s clear that everyone works very hard to give the best dining experience possible. Highly recommend!

Good breakfast but pricey. 77 bucks with tip for myself and two daughters for breakfast. Not sure what the non cash fee is all about but come on who carries cash?? 25% less for same breakfast at Homeport.
