Great local spot for sushi rolls and ramen

Yuzu soda was great. Husband loved his ramen bowl. My boys loved the steamed shrimp pole bowls.

Had the chicken katsu ramen, and this was superb ramen! Customer service was also on point as well. Really authentic!

I lived in Tokyo 15 years. This place is spot on. Best Takoyaki I’ve had yet. Lovely.

I was so hungry for ramen that I forced my buddy to go with me and this place left me sated. I got the pork buns and was pleasantly surprised by the difference between these and the pork buns I'm used to. I got the seafood Ramen and I loved the deep flavors. I had them make it spicy and I definitely recommend that people who appreciate spicy get it, otherwise avoid non-spicy friends. Definitely will be back.

Great food! We got the Chicken Katsu Spicy Ramen, Hawaii Poke Salad, and Dynamite roll. It was so tasty and definitely a great portion for the price!

The poke is so good here the only place I will get poke . The Baos were super flavorful with just the right amount of fat to meat ratio.

We’ve been to many different ramen and sushi places in Jax. This is hands down the most reasonable priced but better than that it is the most delicious in Jax. The food here literally makes me happy.

Very lovely, cozy little spot. Will definitely be returning. Only critique is for the ramen broth to be served a hotter temp. Everything was satisfying, and adding spice to the ramen made it infinitely better!

Best ramen spot, no questions asked. It's the only place I will recommend in all of Jacksonville, and I've been to many. The reason is simple, their broth is real. Every time I get ramen, if the broth doesn't get me full, then it's not real; i.e., it is a paste added to water (looking at you modu). This place is the only spot that gets me full. People who drink soup should know that real broth should make you full if it was made with real bones because it's loaded with fats and proteins.

This is the best Japanese food in town! I love how nice the employees are. We need to support small businesses! The person who complained about the bowl size ate half the food and then took a picture 🤭 the bowls easily have 600-1300 calories each, depending on what you add to them. I count my calories and track my protein and this place is very healthy with the poke bowls. The ramen is the rich delicious comfort that’s a great contrast to the bowl. The broth is perfect and the toppings are so fresh. The chicken katsu is fried chicken but it’s somehow light and crispy and the plum sauce is made in house, it’s amazing. The pork belly is seasoned very authentically and is super tender. They are very generous with everything, and their presentation is always picture perfect.

The sushi role was fresh..the service wonderful..lunch time it was quiet and fun!!

I was really excited to try a poke bowl from here, but the serving size was really disappointing. I also received half frozen pineapple in my bowl which was a little unsettling. I spoke with one of the workers asking about the size because I paid $15 for it to be half filled up and she just dismissed me and said “that’s our bowl size”. Safe to say I won’t be returning.

The service is good, but the food is salty. I hope it can be changed. Worth a try

Favorite Sushi restaurant in Jacksonville!

Seriously the best sushi I have ever had in Florida. We have tried sushi from literally end to end in the state of Florida from Pensacola down to the keys and none of them are better than this place. We get takeout every weekend and even our kids look forward to Saturday Tokyo Ramen. The broth is phenomenal but the sushi is where it's at. Owner and staff are fantastic and attentive. Could not recommend this place more highly and brag on it to everyone we know. Tried Hangar Bay, not even close.

I was really intrigued to try this place since I started working right across the street. I love ramen and I’m always down to eat somewhere I haven’t. I’m aware that ramen isn’t as universally great in most places, but I love noods so much that I mostly can never resist. So my first experience here wasn’t that bad. I came in and sat to have a bowl of ramen. A crab salad while I waited. And everything was pretty alright. It wasn’t the best bowl of noodles I’ve ever had or anything but decent and fulfilling enough that I was open to trying the rest of the menu throughout the future. Granted, I didn’t have a tonkotsu base because sadly, I can’t do pork. So my options of not having pork in ramen were slim. And it’s tricky to nail a shoyu, miso or veggie base. Most of the time they’re bland and not as rich as a tonkotsu. But that didn’t stop me. Nevertheless, I left pleased and satisfied and excited to next time try a bowl of poke. Which I did for lunch the next day. But as a pick up to eat during my break where I work. That’s probably where I made a mistake. Since I made my order online and left my phone number, I had imagined that they would call me when my order was ready. I hadn’t heard from the restaurant and within 45 minutes I nonchalantly took it upon myself to figure it was ready for pick up. When I got there, my bowl was more than ready. And I realized, in the 45 minutes or so that I was waiting for a call and I’m getting there, my order was sitting on their pick up counter, take out thing/area, waiting for me. I paid no mind, took it back to work and scarfed it down. It was great! I had a blend of tuna, crab, salmon, tempura shrimp and a bunch of other things,; peanuts were my favorite! But I def recommend and suggest to go with the wasabi aoli instead of the actual wasabi because when mixed, you eat sufficient chunks of wasabi which in most ways, disrupts your experience with a very itchy nose…it wasn’t until 3:30 in the morning later that day that I woke up from feeling nauseous and was sick for hours the following day. I pretty much had a stomach virus. Now I’ve never been sick from a Pub Sub, ever, in my life, which is what I had for dinner that night. But I have been from bad fish. And I for sure know of plenty of stories from others with a similar experience. Hopefully this isn’t a common thing with this place, considering their close to 5 star average, I’d think it’s not, but perhaps in the future, maybe this review will prompt the folks that work there to store poke bowls and anything else with fish in the fridge while they’re waiting to be picked up…and for anyone else reading this, heed these words, take them with a grain of salt even, just be mindful of your order is sitting out for long for take out.

This place is the only place I've found in the beaches area to even come close to San Diego Asian food. Usually when you find a new place, you find the one item you like on the menu and stick with it. The menu here is so diverse and delicious, we have something new almost every time! My favorites are the Tokyo tonkatsu bowl and a monster roll.

Although located in a strip mall, they managed to evoke a bit of modern Japan and even a little coziness. Staff is great, food is pretty good. Raman is my son's favorite and their sushi is decent.

We ordered the fried gyoza which were good. I got the chashu ramen she got the same. Both of us had no complaints. Restaurant was clean, bathroom was clean. Service was great. Parking was easy to find.

Edited review: my previous review was really reflective of Doordash not the place. Now that I order directly from Tokyo Ramen, haven’t had a bad meal or experience. This place has really good ramen and sushi.

Simply put the Tonkotsu broth that is the base of 5 of the Ramen dishes is robust and flavorful. You truly can't go wrong with these ramen. The sushi rolls were also delicious, I particularly enjoyed the eel. I look forward to going back to try the poke bowls, hand roll and appetizers.

Food was very fresh. Sushi was on point. We didn’t love the texture of the octopus balls but had to try them.

My husband and I just got back from a 2 and a half week roadtrip across the country. I can 100% say this is by far the BEST ramen we have ever had!!! The broth is absolutely amazing and flavorful. My only complaint is that sometimes the pork is a little too fatty which I'm not a big fan of but most of the time it's perfect! We are moving in October and I'm so sad that we won't be around this place. I highly recommend trying here! Also their bao buns are AMAZING. We noticed that other places tasted like the buns were frozen previously. I'm not sure if they make theirs from scratch, but there is definitely a difference. The buns are so soft and delicious. Been coming here for MONTHS and whenever we visit Jacksonville in the future, we'll definitely come here as much as possible!

The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. The service was on point. The poke bowls we had were delicious, but they definitely skimped on the amount of protein for the price.

Much deliciousness to be found in this establishment. Excellent service, quick prep, and return to the table. The Avocado peanut roll was surprisingly good, and I built my own Poké bowl. Recommended. It is a bit on the pricey side. Three of us cost $60, including tip, and just water for drinks. Yet, I'll be back.

Was in town camping at Hanna park and was craving sushi and I was not disappointed. Ordered pork shumai, a spicy tuna roll and a rainbow roll and it was all amazing. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

While it is smaller, you can’t beat the food and staff!! Me and my husband are kind of spoiled as far as authentic ramen goes and this is as close as you’re going to get around here!!! Delicious shoyu, gyoza, etc etc.

Been coming here almost every week since 2020, the staff are great and the owner knows all of us by name and knows our usual orders. The food is amazing. I cannot recommend any place is Jacksonville more than I do Tokyo Ramen. I recently left the Jacksonville area and will greatly miss this place, Jamie runs an amazing restaurant and I hope I will get to visit again someday.

So Good! Love the ramen noodles and fresh ingredients with hearty broth. Had the Tokyo Ramen. It’s an all time favorite. If you have never had Ramen before - make this your first.

Been here dozens of times and haven’t gotten tired yet. You know it’s a good ramen shop when they keep their menu simple! The ramen tastes amazing and the meat is always cooked to perfection. The bowls of ramen are big, so i would recommend getting just a bowl and a app or roll to share with it. Staff is friend, place is clean, and located down from the beach.

Atmosphere: Quaint wooden tables and benches. Small restaurant, probably couldn't seat more than 8 people in a group from the looks of it. Service: Attentive and friendly. Food: Shoyu ramen 8/10. The chasu was to die for. Miso ramen 9/10.

I was in town visiting and came in for dinner. We were sat fairly quickly and greeted by our server almost immediately. All three of us ordered Ramen and were happy. Maybe a touch too salty, maybe. All in all, I enjoyed my Ramen and the fish cake was delicious.

When we found this place, we couldn't believe our eyes. It is clean and family-friendly. Open kitchen! The staff is polite and considerate. The food was very tasty. We ordered crazy tuna and rainbow, they were amazing! And they are executed very quickly, right before our eyes!

I tried both the King Spicy Special Roll & the Tokyo Ramen, both did not disappoint! The customer service is very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable with a light play of music overhead. You can enjoy your conversations here or eat in peace. Definitely a place I will eat it again when I'm in the area!
