The veggie burrito was phenomenal

The empanadas (I've only had the domino) are particularly delicious, and many are vegetarian. Love the Latin music playing, and the staff appear to all be native Spanish speakers who are fluent in englush, making it all feel surprisingly authentic for a suburban strip mall in an area that doesn't have a lot of cultural diversity. My new favorite place in Cape Elizabeth.

I got the Creole cone and I don't have words for how good it was. I think this is the first time food has been so tasty that it brought tears to my eyes.

Incredible! A mid-afternoon lunch. I am originally a Cape native. Was driving past my old high school and the IGA and feeling hungry. Oh my! Tostones Cafe was like made to order! Perfect setting in a strip mall. Love the setting, love the service. Very best shrimp enchiladas! Food and service exceptional! Great find! I'll make it a point to visit again.

We just stop by here to have a drink after coming back from crescent Beach. Cute little cafe with lots of plants. The barrister and also cashier is cute. I have guanabana smoothie which is super good and very refreshing.

Fantastic place to get Latin American food, felt like I was back in South America here. Update: 2 years later, I have been back multiple times and still think about it often. Truely the best place to get authentic South American food. Don't let the strip mall aesthetic turn you away!!!!

I’m from Los Angeles. I did NOT expect to find a quality place like this tucked away, nowhere near the city center. Off the beaten path and the Arepas were amazing and authentic. The tostones were crispy. The tropical fruit smoothies were great. This was such a quality find!!!

Was a little hesitant to try this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. We stopped in for dinner one night and the servers were lovely, the food was fresh, and the experience was all around positive. The bowl I got was loaded with veggies, super fresh, and so flavorful! They were happy to accommodate my allergy requests. It’s become one of my favorite spots for take out, though eating in was also a lovely experience.

Me Encanta ! I am a gringo that loves Colombia 🇨🇴 and Medellin. I felt like I was in Pablado 😁. The food is deliciouso and the service very friendly and warm hearted. Perfect on a cold evening in Cape Elizabeth Maine.

Wow! On the road for work, got hungry and decided to pull in without knowing exactly what we were stepping into! Blown away with flavor and delicious drinks! Empanadas a must (we got all four) the Arepas Wok with sirloin and the arepa desmechada! So good! MUST TRY place

I was visiting family in New Hampshire and on my last day we were doing touristy things on the way to the airport. We stopped by this cafe for lunch and we're blown away by how tasty everything was. The waiter gave us great recommendations. We got an appetizer to share and we each ordered arepas. The atmosphere of the cafe also had fun vibes. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu.

Amazing! I got the churros, campesino, and the vegan arepas. The campesino was a lovely spiced coffee. I’ve been recreating it at home after trying it since it was so good! The vegan arepas were delicious. They were seasoned beautifully and were very filling. The churros were the perfect end to the meal. Nice and sweet and came with delicious dipping sauces. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and I can’t wait to stop back in and grab a drink at the bar.

My wife and I Took a weekend trip to Maine and no matter where we go we find a Colombian restaurant 🤣 this one was a Gem. Our waiter Luis was extremely welcoming and his service superb. The food is Delicious, it’s a celebration of all Latin food. We had the toston app And it was a meal itself lol. The arepa with shrimp and steak was not only one of the best Venezuelan arepas I’ve ever had but one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Highly recommend it👌🏾

amazing food, quick service and reasonably priced. you don’t need to drive into portland to have great authentic food. i’ve tried every latin food place on and off the peninsula and this place got them beat for sure. the yuka fries were perfectly cooked and i’m super picky about the texture lol. large portions for everything. the arepas tropical is FANTASTIC! the tostones vegano is amazing and filling. the vegetables burrito is very good and flavorful. highly recommend this local business. would have taken pictures but we ate everything so fast and left no scraps

Don’t let the shopping-center location dissuade you— this place is great. Delicious fresh foo with excellent vegetarian options, great batidos, and friendly service (plus they give a discount if you pay with cash!) Just found out they also serve alcohol which is a plus for a good local drink.

One of the best lunches I've had in a long time. My wife has been raving about this place for months and I finally got to try it today.... WOW I HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT! Awesome selection of different dishes, there's something for everyone. I had the Cinco De Mayo tostone plate and it was so delicious. Fresh ingredients, savory carne, and a perfectly cooked tostone base. It was a big portion too, had to take the rest home. The cafe is wonderfully decorated as well and the staff are incredibly friendly. Easily the most satisfying meal I've had for a while, it left me in a great mood for my return to work. cant wait to go back and try some other options, thank you for a great lunch!

Yall let me tell you I just ate here for the first time and I almost cried for how good this is I haven't had food this flavorful in years go here asap I already can't wait to give this place more of my money

This place really excelled in every aspect! You can tell this cafe is well loved by how much attention to detail they give to every dish and decoration. Not sure what to get? The empanadas are to die for! I was also impressed by how much juice they give you too. Overall, you can tell this cafe loves and cares for its customers and wants you to feel welcome. Even the plants are real, healthy, and happy too.

If you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience, look no further than Tostones. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering incredible dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. Best in town, recommend 100%.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation of it was nothing like I’ve ever seen before. Kind waiters, delicious foods, and a great atmosphere.

My husband and I enjoyed this find. We were in the area and was looking for lunch. Something light and not fried. I had one of the bowls minus the egg and my husband had the taco trio. Both amazing. Meat very tender and seasoned perfectly. My husband pork taco was really good crispy but not over done. Definitely recommend if ur in the area.

I ordered take out from Tostones Café and ordered the Toston Vegano. Highly recommend if you want a tasty meal that’s delicious, fresh & you feel refreshed after eating. Also very friendly staff you have to try!

We are from the Dominican Republic and live in York, ME. Today we decided to leave the house and venture further north. We found this magnificent restaurant, “Tostones Cafe,” and are impressed, especially after being in Colombia a week ago. If you are looking for Authentic Latin Food, look no more and try this place… I loved it, and I plan to be back. Thank you so much for making this experience delicious.

We’ll worth the drive. The Arepas were tasty and the tostones were nice and crispy. If you want to avoid the tourist traps, this place is perfect. We ate at duck fat the day before and hands down this place is better.
