Nice little restaurant in Vale, NC. Found this place out riding motorcycles with my son. Definitely worth the visit.

Great little beer and burger joint. Not much on the outside not even a sign. Cheeseburger was huge and awesome. Beer was ice cold. Separate eating and bar areas will be back.

The staff was so kind and the food was awesome! You must get the loaded cheese fries!

Waitress was rude taking orders, had attitude, and obviously hated her job. 6 people traveling 35 min to eat there were very disappointed in service, hamburgers and their frozen fries. They prefer beer drinkers watching westerns on a tv. Wow. They do not want you there unless locals. We won’t be back! Almost could hear the banjo playing.

Great place to eat from really humble environment

Terrible service if you are not the right color. Walked in with my family to be seated away from everyone, and have her ignore our request for menu's telling me to "sit down I'll be there when I'm done" I will never be back and I hope you all improve.

So we are not from the area but a friend told us about this place. We would have never stopped here because it does not look like a restaurant or a bar. There is absolutely no sign on the front or side of the building letting you know that it's a wonderful bar and restaurant with amazing food. We were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was a gem as well. Just saved this place as one of our favorites in the area. I think if they put a sign up they would make a killing.

I lived around this place all my life and they have always had great food. It's always hot, service is AWESOME....ONE COMPLAINT IS THE VERY FOUL LANGUAGE THAT IS ALLOWED.

I’ve lived near this location for over 30 years & absolutely love their food. I’ve had everything on their menu and can say with confidence their best menu items are the club basket or the cheeseburger basket. Their hidden gem is “chicken pie Friday”😉!

I was in a rush to pick up my son from the Pa Paw Patch. I went to drop off my work truck and the battery was dead on my Suburban. So I jumped back in my work truck and high tailed it to get him before they closed. I made it in time but he couldn't ride in my truck so we had to wait 30 minutes for mom to get there. By the time she arrived we were crazy starving. We were going to go back to the Cooksville Grill but I noticed this place on the map. We decided to give it a try. To be honest the place is kind of rough but clean. I had a tough time deciding between the burger or flounder as they both are noted in other reviews. I opted for the flounder. It was fantastic. Very light and fried golden brown. They make their own tartar sauce with larger bits of pickle. The French fries were a standard crinkle cut but my wife commented that there was no fish taste at all. She got a salad that was pretty standard but the ranch dressing was thick and tasty. My son got a cheeseburger and ate almost the whole thing before I asked him for a bite because he was devouring it. He is usually a slow eater. It was loose ground and reminded me of a manwhich consistency. When I come back, and I will be back I'm going to get the jumbo burger basket and tater tots. This is a country bar with its regulars. The arcade and pool tables will keep your young'ns busy (if under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) while you enjoy a cold beer or two. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a really good bar burger or fish n chips.

Couldn't help but laugh at someone talking about the lack of amenities here. This is a local place where people come for the best burgers and flounder anywhere around, the pool tables in back are nothing more than an homage to the past here as a rowdy dance hall. If it's good food you're looking for, this is the joint. There's a reason they've been open over half a century.

This is a gem in the country. Went to visit this place with my dad. The burgers are amazing. I really enjoyed the food. The staff was very attentive. I felt she could have used some help the night I was there, but still did an amazing job. I will certainly go out of my way to return for a burger and a beer in the future. As a funny side note, the men's room is small and the door does not lock. The sink for the men's room is outside the men's room as well. Not a big deal tho.
