A hidden gem tucked away in Hubert. We found this place by getting lost looking for the beach. The ladies were friendly, Susan even walked our food out to us. Thank you ladies. We ordered 2 beef brisket sandwiches. Beef brisket is tender/juicy, it comes on toasted bread with or without cole slaw on the sandwich. Get it with cole slaw on. Trust, it's worth it.

Brisket fries and shrimp burger!!! And that pappys sauce! Went in for the first time and holy moly, what was i waiting for! This place is great. The hospitality was very much appreciated. They answered our questions and steered us in the right direction. Those brisket fries were out of this world! I can’t forget to mention how juicy, tender and delicious the shrimp was. Thank you for a great experience and will be back super soon. Great place!

I stopped going there, I just can't keep getting all the fat on my plate. Large hunks of fat, by the time I stopped picking out the fat, I had very little BBQ left. It just turned me off. Sorry guys.

Brisket was fat and grisly. Slaw was mush and watered down. Service terrible, I asked for a fork and never got one. Over priced and cashier was all of 12 years old.

Prices were pretty good. Generous portions. I had the pulled pork and it was amazing. No sauce needed. The sides were homemade, but my fave was the hush puppies. The banana pudding was almost like a banana fluff. It was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Man... where have you been all my life? Date night & we found this spot by accident and the second we walked in we felt right at home. Sheila greeted us and her suggestions were amazing. Hard to find good ribs in the Jax area but we did. Tender and flavorful... not a fan of mustard based sauces, but that "PAPPY'S" sauce made me a believer. The fried oysters are definitely a must have. Finished it off with a banana pudding and peach cobbler (accompanied with vanilla ice cream). All the food was amazing. A true "Mom & Pop" spot that brings out all I love about NC. Say hello to your new "regulars"!

I had called ahead of time because I saw they closed at eight and they were willing to stay open a little longer for me to come in and grab my food and pay. The staff was so friendly and so welcoming and very helpful and I definitely plan on coming back. It’s a kind of hole in the wall type of restaurant, hidden down a dead-end road that leads to the water so if you go in the evening you can watch the sunset while you eat. Food wise, I got the barbecue sandwich and the pork was so delicious and flavorful, the coleslaw was a little weird to me. It seems to be mustard-based almost, the fries were just your plain old fries - crinkle cut. I also got the lemon blueberry dessert and I can say that a little goes a long way. It’s very very sweet, but it’s very very delicious. The prices are unbeatable for the taste of the food!

It was such a cute spot, felt like home. Welcoming. Took my order promptly and the food was delicious hot dogs pulled pork fries were delicious ❤️ also had great desserts we had a brownie that was to die for and took home a cookie and marshmallow treat for my kids.

Just had an amazing dinner- 1st time there and it was delicious!! Came in and got a free taste of brisket and wow it was fabulous!! We got the 3 slider brisket sandwiches with coleslaw!!! FABULOUS!!!! Portions were big, onion rings and hush puppies were so so good!! Price and service GREAT!! The wonderful lady who waited on us was as sweet as can be!!! Thank you so much we WILL be back!!!!

Small little hide a way but some of the best BBQ I've had. Also some of the best hushpuppies I've had as well. 100% will be going back and bringing more people along!

Man what not to say. Family owned and family fun. They are great people that make great BBQ. Had the brisket tacos and fries. ALL their dessert 🍨 are to die for. Eclair cake, home made Nanna pudding. Great sausage link or in a bun for a good price. Green beans are like maw maw makes with ham juice. Man just a great place love going in the summer after being on the water all day.

Absolutely legendary BBQ. Everything is delicious and cooked perfectly, the sides are amazing. It's a must stop, you have to try it. Great people too! Everything is gluten-free (including the sauce) except the hush-puppies (obviously).

Incredible! Melt in your mouth barbecue from the pulled pork to the brisket to the ribs. Came in with a group of five and we were all very satisfied.

Best Brisket in North Carolina made with love. They make almost everything by hand here. Their Smoked Chicken and Sausage are off the chain good.....Homemade Collards, Mac n Cheese, Beans, Banana Pudding, Peach Cobbler, Hush Puppies and Sooooo Much more. PS their Iced tea is delicious tooooo

Cute little place with country charm. Friendly staff and lots of chicken/pulled pork/brisket/rib options. This is an order/Pay at the counter place where you find your own seat. The seating area and kitchen are only separated by a counter so it is Pretty hot in the dining room and would make me consider ordering ‘to go’ next time. Brisket volcano was really good!

Had the brisket grilled cheese. Unbelievable. Service was top notch. Nana puddin was something that you need to order.

Cute little place, only open 3 days a week but food was amazing. Fountain drink spouts looked like they may have needed to be cleaned but the sweet tea was on point and I can easily say we would go back!

Banging BBQ. The ribs and brisket were my favorites. They had a great smoke ring and flavor. Their sauces are great too. Also, the employees are extremely friendly. One of the best BBQ joints I have been to. It is definitely better than the garbage Lexington style BBQ joints I have been to.

Love this place! Have been going here since it was called the Red Barn. Was also my first job, the new owners have turned it back into that cute little restaurant next to the ICW. Highly recommend there pork or chicken volcano fries and pulled pork sandwiches. And don't forget that PAPPY SAUCE!!!

Great food choices, close to Intercoastal waterway, food was excellent, a little slow getting orders out.

Every time we go camping, we try a local BBQ restaurant. We’ve had great BBQ from Mt. Mitchell to Ocracoke. As an Eastern North Carolinian, I am partial to vinegar based, pulled pork. We were excited to try Caino’s as it was very close to our campground and had great ratings. However, the food was just not to our liking. Maybe the locals like the Pappy sauce but it’s mustard based and I’m not entirely sure that’s legal in NC to South Carolina’s favorite sauce. Shame. Ha! But, the pulled pork, on its own, was just lacking flavor. Maybe the smoke sucked it out??? Pairing with the sauce didn’t help but the cole slaw did, a little. My wife always gets the brisket when we do BBQ. She’s midwestern, whaddaya gonna do?? She was not happy with it. Again, lacked some flavor and was on the drier side. And, somehow, the hush puppies were bland. My daughter did like her cheeseburger slider and the fries were good. The staff was super nice, prices were good, and the restaurant is quaint. I usually reserve judgment after two trips but I don’t think we will be in this area again, and I’m not sure I could convince my wife to give this place another try. She’s really protective of her brisket. So, might be worth a try for you. I love supporting local places but this one just wasn’t for us. Might be for you. We didn’t try the seafood plates, maybe give that a shot.

We frequent AB and EI and were looking for something different aside from the seafood restaurants on the strip that are seemingly carbon copies of each other. We found Caino's and will definitely be returning! Southern hospitality, great service, wonderful small town vibes, and the food was on point! If you've never been, get the brisket. My first time going with a friend of mine. First off the vibe is great . Going inside its warm and friendly greeted immediately. Sat down and didn't have to wait long at all to be waited on. The food was superb hot and fresh. Everything is made fresh daily. Will definitely be back

Great pit-style smoked BBQ - get the brisket grilled cheese if it's on special!

The BBQ here is the right amount of smokey, juicy, and heavenly meatiness! And their sides stand up to the meats! The hush puppies and beans are my favorites. And don't forget the Pappy sauce! The staff always goes above and beyond for us whenever we have been there. Out of the way, but 1,000% worth the drive.

Caino's Red Barn Grill is a must to visit anytime you're in the area. The employees/owners are amazing, knowledgeable, and supper friendly. This place feels like a long-lost home were you just feel at peace and comfort. Let's just say you will come for the atmosphere and stay for the food. The brisket is to die for and along with the pappy's sauce.

So good every time we come in, hospitality and food! I don’t think there’s ever been a time we haven’t left without a smile on our face. If you want great bbq, comfort food, this is the place to go. All of their food also has that “family made” quality. My husband and I are from Nebraska, so coming here reminds us much of visiting our grandparents house. Every time we have come, I always order the brisket grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a side of coleslaw and Mac n cheese. If you don’t have their Mac n cheese, you’re missing out. My husband has had a variety on the menu and has had zero complaints, haha! We’ve tried the collards and baked beans which are both fantastic. Order some of their hush puppies too…they are sooo good! If you save room, we love the peach cobbler with ice cream or the banana pudding so far! You get a great portion of food for the money every time. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you bring to my husband and I while we are away from home and family. We will be regulars!

We showed up minutes before closing and were met with open arms all the same. Service and food quality were top-tier. The brisket gave me goosebumps. Please finish your meal with the banana pudding whenever you do visit!

Was really looking forward to eating here because of the many reviews, but boy was I wrong. As someone who is originally from Texas, lived some time in Kansas City, I was looking for some good barbecue! This place is FAR from it! I ordered the brisket sandwich and Mac n cheese. The brisket sandwich was so boring. They put something called pappy sauce in it which is just as boring and did not help. They don’t even have actual barbecue sauce here, just something called vinegar sauce, which was straight up rice white vinegar and nothing more. The ambiance was extremely uncomfortable and felt like we were in a scene from Get Out. If you want good barbecue don’t go here, if you want to spend a ridiculous price on dry brisket with vinegar, this is your place!

Some of the best smoked meats I've ever had!! I usually do my own, but sometimes would rather just order out. Tried many other places, but none compair to these guys!!! Their sides remind me of my grandma's home cooking. Their sauces are incredible too! Great food, very friendly staff. Also, their prices are extremely reasonable!!! I would HIGHLY recommend trying this place out!!!

Being as highly rated as the reviews are, I was nervous it wouldn't live up to the hype. That was short lived. The lady I spoke to on the phone for my pickup order realized it was my first time, made me feel at home, and made sure I had a sample of each sauce to try. I knew as soon as I tasted their sweet tea I was going to love their food. You go to some places for one specific item. This place, every item was wonderful. In today's age, it's almost impossible to beat these prices for real food, this good. And man what a view right out front. Excited to bring friends and family here.

This is a little smokehouse doing big things!!! I tried the sampler platter and everything ranked up in the top three that I’ve ever had, including a few items taking the number one spot. Besides the food being extraordinary, the staff makes you feel right at home. Everyone there was extremely hospitable, including their little helpers. Decor makes you feel like you are eating at home. No doubt I’ll be returning!

Felt at home there. Owner visited the table along with other members of his family as they were servers. They were extremely friendly and country folks. Got his meals down to a science, perfect. Not a single complaint only positives. Highly recommend the brisket.

Oysters and shrimp were fantastic! I am not a fan of smoke flavoring, and you can't cover it up with vinegar on the pulled pork. The beans were smoked also. Coleslaw was good and so we're the collards , potatoe salad had alot of dill pickle in it. I will definitely go back for seafood and will try their chicken.

Got the BBQ plate with 2 sides and hushpuppies. Baked beans and collards were amazing as was the homemade hushpuppies. The bbq was good but for me, it needed more spices. I will go again and try something different. Service was great, atmosphere is homey, and country. Delightful place!

Last night my wife and I called in our order told us 10 mins got there a little after was greeted as soon as we walked in so refreshing to have not good but great customer service. We noticed it was family owned and run told them it was our first time been in search of a good bbq spot and she gave us a brisket sample that changed our lives prob the best brisket I ever had we will def be going back everything we touched tasted amazing kudos cainos can't wait to visit again I'm telling everyone to go here

I love tasting BBQ from various places when I travel. This by far the tastiest ever. Lots of wonderful sauces to complement the bbq. Staff went above and beyond the norm to satisfy me as their customer. A very pleasant atmosphere to dine in. I highly rate it as a place you need to check out when you are in the area.

Absolutely floored with the quality of both the food and service of this mom and pop hidden gem. I ordered the brisket and shrimp and all I could say the entire time was "wow". The brisket was tender as could be, smoky, and rich. The shrimp was fried kind of like a tempura batter that was just delicious. I drove down all the way from Southern Maryland after seeing other reviews for this place and my experience exceeded my expectations thoroughly. The owners are some of the friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The atmosphere is authentic farm house nostalgia. The smell of smoke and delicious cooked meat hits you as soon as you walk in the door and you can't help but to get as much as you can fit in your belly before the buttons pop off your shirt. They have excellent desserts and the portion sizes for everything were laudable. If you are ever in this area and looking for the real deal. This is the stop to make.

Food was very good. I did pay almost 40$ for 4 bbq sandwiches and 1 side hush puppies and 1 French fry. The wait for the food to be made was lil long, for take out. But the sandwiches, we're very good. Full of meat, white slaw, and the bun, of course.

The three stars are mainly for the employees who were very nice. The place really started to get packed by the time I left. I tried the choice of 3, which were the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and my two sides were backed beans and potato salad. The brisket was very salty, the pulled pork was ok, and the ribs seemed dry. Overall, I didn't think the meat was freshly cooked today. The potato salad was a little bland, no real flavor to it.

Best BBQ I've had in north carolina, beats every other place around here on bang for you buck too!!! 10/10 would recommend.
