They went out of their way to fix a meal for my brother and myself it was excellent

My husband and I went here for lunch. We ordered two Cubans and a tamale. The Cubans had very little pulled pork. In fact a little bit that was on the sandwich was overcooked. They used pressed ham, and even after they pressed the sandwich, the bread was soggy on the bottom, so the sandwich fell apart. Absolutely horrible! As far as a tamale goes, my husband said it was ham and rice, and was terrible. Whoever heard of a ham and rice tamale. Gross! We decided not to finish the food and as we were paying, we were asked how the food was so we were honest with them. Hopefully they’ll step up their game now. Wie’ll never go back.

Just I found this restaurant, and the food was awesome! I can't wait to come back again!

The food I order was good. Chicken juicy, sweet plantains delicious & rice was great, there just wasn’t many options, The menu pictures are outdated & had my hopes up for more than what I saw, as I visited Off recommendation, keep up the good work tho

Great food, prices, and people. No formalities are needed. Tell them what ya want, you'll be happy with the price and very happy with the food. Lunchtime is the best time to go.

Service was on the slow side the people working there could hardly understand what I was saying since they were all Cuban. Really not comfortable settings 3 small tables to sit down at with uncomfortable chairs.

Stopped and had lunch at the tropicuben and Cafe on Saturday, the Cuban sandwich was over the top the tamale was hot and delicious and we had a couple cold drinks to go with it the atmosphere was casual and the staff was extremely friendly we will be going back as the food was delicious

Posted hours say they open at 7:00am. Drove 15 minutes to get there and arrived at 7:30am. They weren’t open. Thanks for wasting my time. I see another review where same thing happened to someone else. I won’t be back!

An excellent quaint cafe with about 8 seats inside. Delicious coffee, plantains and the best cuban sandwich I have had in this area. The bread was to die for. We ordered 9 Cubans, 2 lunch special plates and flan. The sandwiches were not pre-made. They were made fresh for us. Great people and great prices.

These guys made me a Cuban sandwich that was crafted perfectly and a cafe con leche that I prefer over Starbucks. The empanadas , chicken and rice are amazing as well. Authentic Cuban Delivered. A new go to for me

I got a large cafe con leche and a large Cuban sandwich The food was delicious and I had leftovers for the following day. The cafe was really cute and a nice place to sit while I ate my sandwich and drank my coffee. I would definitely recommend this place.

Highly recommended! I was craving a Cuban sandwich and googled a few restaurants near me to choose from. When this popped up, the reviews were outstanding so I gave it a shot and it's the best decision I've made! The owner, Fausto, was very polite and generous. He made us feel at home and maintained great conversation. He went on to say he's been in business for 16 years, being in Orlando, Tampa, and now St. Pete. The Cuban sandwich was scrumptious, made fresh. Plantains weren't greasy or soggy, the Spanish rice had amazing flavor, cuban soup was very tasty and the coffee was perfectly poprpotioned. Hands down was a great experience and will definitely be revisiting.

Hands down the BEST Cuban food I’ve ever had. And the service was exceptional. The owner clearly loves what he does. He gave me and my mom samples of his soup while he made our sandwiches. The soup was to die for-chunks of pork and slices of corn on the cob. It was incredibly flavorful. As good as it was, it couldn’t compare to the yellow rice, black beans and sandwich. We ate until we nearly burst. I’d recommend this spot all day long. Go check it out. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Pretty good, a no frill but authentic food. Cuban was big and filling. Also got the rice and ground beef. Tasted like how my grandmother used to make it. Cafe Con Leche was great as well. Spend about 8 bucks a person. Not bad at all,wiukd recommend.

Really delicious Cuban food. We tried the ropa vieja, ground beef stew, three different types of rice, croquettes, plantains, cafe con leche, and finally a cuban sandwich. Everything was delicious. Will return, and return, and return.

Good customer service and good food.

This is one of those places food lovers get excited about finding. It doesn't look like much from the outside or decor, but the food is amazing and you can watch everything get assembled with care. This is probably the best Cuban I've had in the area. The fried sea bass is also great. And the prices are really low for the quality and quantity of food you get.

Went there on a whim today for the first time. Don't let the exterior of the plaza turn you away. The food is excellent. The guy making the sandwiches couldn't be nicer. Very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend you stop by to try this place. 👍🏽👍🏽

Same great food as La Perrera. Positive changes with new ownership. Longer hours of operation, a new coffee machine (better cafe con leche, a new large air conditioning unit and a cleaner restaurant all together. If you are looking for Casual Cuban food ata great price come here.

So I just moved to the area from Tampa.I was so happy to doscover this little gem of a Cafe .They bring the tastes of West Tampa to Pinellas Park.The Cuban sandwich should be in the Ybor City Contest for the best.Its done on La Segunda bread pressed just right.The breakfast sandwiches are great and a shot of Colado. And a Cafe Con Leche will get you going in the mornings!Daily lunch specials!The owners are great.So thankful for this!!

Very small mom pops cuban resturant, the owner is very friendly, the menu is very cuban, please dont forget to ask for an Iron beer soda. THE best Cuban sandwich I have ever eaten. It's mostly take out but they have a few tables for you to dine in if you like. The owners are fantastic people, I just love them. Mama, she IS the bomb. She sure knows how to chew gum and walk at the same time. And Pop well he's pretty great himself. He sure knows how to make a mean soup. I don't know what he calls it but it sure is gooooood! Stop in for lunch one day. You will feel right at home there.

This Cuban sandwich was perfect! Bread fresh, an inch thick pile of cold cuts, flavorful pork, and it was huge! Can I say that again? HUGE! It was so good, I had to try something else from the menu. So, I went with the garbanzo bean soup, which was savory, and full of beans, potatoes, and pork. So good, I ordered some to take home. I was on a run, so I decided to try the homemade flan, neatly stacked in their ramekins. The flans was rich, creamy, and modestly sweet, with the perfect amount of vanilla. At this point, they were going to have to roll me out the door. All in all, it's well worth the extra few minutes to visit Perera for a Cuban sandwich and a soda. Be daring try some of the other items. On another note, the place was super clean. The staff incredibly polite. I noticed the chef was hand breading fish fillets, which no one takes the time to do anymore. Genuine from-scratch cooking and care. Next time I'm trying the fish dish. Enjoy!

I never been in before and have passed by many times so me loving Cuban sandwiches I had the time so I stop by Walked in no hello I wait still no hello older lady comes and says what do you want I said a cuban after that she went back talking to the GENTLEMAN making the sandwiches talking Spanish which I understood every word Finally got my sandwich I said goodbye in Spanish and she looked only to say have a nice day I'm big on customer service and this is DEFINITELY not somewhere to expect it and the sandwich was ok

Place was clean and the food was delicious hands down been in St Petersburg Florida for 16 yrs and I believe I found my Cuban sandwich hook up lol!! My wife had a beacon cheeseburger and she loved it she said the meat taste so fresh and the fries for $2.50 was good as well.
