The prices were very fair and the bento box had plenty of food in it! The downsides was that the service was lacking, and the sushi roll that we ordered was practically a rice roll with a tiny amount of spicy crab in the middle. This is probably a one off and not the norm. I will update my review after the next visit.

Ume was recommended to us by more than a few of the locals here in Marianna and it didn't disappoint. The staff was nice and friendly and attentive. The food was great and the servings were more than ample. Definitely recommend.

I think a rubber boot would taste better!

This is our go to place for sushi, red Devil roll and Cali sunshine roll are super yummy. The Marianna roll is yummy too. Tom is the best waiter. And the owners Sam and Wendy are amazing people.

The Food is the Worst in the Panhandle. The Chicken is Rubbery, the fried rice has zero ingredients added and is tasteless. Sushi rolls average $14 a pop and are very small, few ingredients and tasteless. The Seaweed salad was spoiled. Small portion sizes. Yamato a mile away has phenomenal sushi, flavor and larger portions. So Disappointed!

I was extremely impressed with our visit today. My grandchildren love Chinese food so we eat it every chance we get. We had Gyoza, Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chcken, Beef Fried Rice and I had Mixed Vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection and not loaded with grease. The individual foods actually tasted differently, not like some Chinese that all food taste the same. There was a quiet, pleasant atmosphere and so clean, even the restroom smelled nice and was spotless. One table was celebrating a birthday and they made sure the day was special in every way. The waitstaff was very attentive, every employee including the cashier. Pricing was extremely low by today's standards. My teenage grandchildren walked away stuffed!! If you are looking for an excellent dining experience, this is it!!!

This sushi is terrible and I tried to order something else off the menu because I’m still hungry and the server name “Tom “ wouldn’t even let me try something else I HAD to eat the onion like sushi that was awful ! I was forced to pay for it by the owner

Love this place. We have lived in the area for about 6 months and have been here probably 10 times. Every time is great. The sushi is good, the other food is good, the service is always very attentive and pleasant. There are two sushi places in town but we prefer this one. Someone else said the prices are too high. I don't know where they get sushi for 2 at $20 total, but I would pass on a place like that. The prices here are fine and normal. Worth it.

The food was delicious. But we all walked away hungry because the portions were so small. The price was outrageous. We will never come back. For 2 people in our party it was $42. It should have been $20. For 5 people in our party it was $72. It should have been $40 for what we ordered. We had to share all the food. They charged us an 18% gratuity fee on each check because our table had 7 people. I don't think it's right to charge a fee like that. The tip should be what we believe is right. The waiter was excellent and I definitely would have tipped him well. But it should have been my decision, not the restaurant's decision.

The food has always been very good. Service is timely except when they are busy....good for them. Sushi always fresh.

I went here with some family a few weeks ago. Very nice place. Great service. I really enjoyed the sushi. I ordered hibachi steak, fried rice and veggies. Salad and soup. Let’s start with the soup. It was straight up beef broth with a mushroom and a few green onions. Yuck! I asked for salad with ginger dressing. Got ranch? Who eats ranch on a salad at a Japanese hibachi? I’ve eaten hibachi steak all over the world. Never have I ever had a brown gravy on my hibachi steak. What is that about? It literally tasted like Alpo smells. The fried rice smelled like it had been wrapped in a towel and left in a dryer overnight. Ended up giving my take out plate to the stray cats at Bear Paw landing. Even they were sus….

Sorry to say but the worst sushi I have ever had... We ordered specific ones and got polar opposites... They were falling apart and slimy... Very disappointed...

Great place to eat food always the best service is great!

The owners are some of the nicest people I know in Marianna. The fact that they run one of my favorite restaurants is a bonus for sure. I have never eaten anything at Ume that I didn't love. Please eat here as often as you can! Just fantastic food and service! It feels like I'm eating at home.

Always a great place to catch a quick bite. Not overly expensive and the service always comes with a grateful smile. The ginger dressing is also very very good

This place is CLEAN. Very well managed. The service was great and the food was delicious! We recommend the chicken wings and egg rolls for appetizers. The volcano roll was well portioned and tasted fresh. We loved the seaweed salad also!

Simple place but the food and service was great.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was very pleased. The food was delicious and my server was very nice and attentive. I definitely will be returning to this restaurant soon.

After moving here since 2022 this is the only 5* place we will be coming on a consistent basis too. yummy, fresh, clean, and accommodating. If I could give more stars I would totally exceeds every place we have been too.

We were traveling home to Tennessee from a wedding in Florida and wanted Chinese. We found the add on Google, Read the reviews and came. It was fantastic! The service was exceptional and they were having fun 😀. Wonderful people!

The server was SO attentive and charismatic, it looked like the owner was also stepping up and helping people on a busy Friday night. The restaurant seemed super clean and well laid out. Everyone was so friendly and kind, it pains me to say anything negative...but the food itself was pretty terrible. It was edible, but tasteless. Our Vegetable Tempura was well cooked, but the dipping sauce was so light and tasteless, I am not sure what it really was. It certainly isn't the typical dumpling sauce or Ponzu that is served with tempura. And no matter if you order Hibachi or a Hot Plate or the Beef and Broccoli, you are going to get the same cut of beef (which was not tender, way overcooked and looked like it had been boiled or steamed, not stir fried), and then one of two sauces, either Teriyaki or 'Brown' sauce as they called it. The fried rice had no vegetables or even describable seasoning to it, and there were a lot of hard kernels of rice that make me think it had been sitting a while, or may have been pretty old. The shrimp on my hot plate were pretty overcooked and rubbery, and had a slight sulfur taste to them, and also had the texture of being boiled, not stir fried. There were literally no char marks of any kind on any of the food on the hot plate...it all just looked...boiled. My husband ordered the Beef and Broccoli and he had similar complaints about the meat, and also his food was incredibly bland. I never, if ever, add soy sauce to my meal, but it was absolutely needed in this case. It is a shame, because the staff really was quite wonderful. I wanted this to be our go-to Asian option in Marianna.

If I want Habatchi I will go to a Japanese restaurant....I feel the restaurant probably does really well at Chinese so I will order something more traditional to Chinese next time. Will try the restaurant again since the place was really clean and the staff were really great!

We love this restaurant and eat there regularly. The food is consistently good (try a bento box), the staff is very friendly, and our meals are promptly served. I also like the relaxed, spacious setting.

Very friendly and helpful but the noodles were very greasy, my shrimp were overcooked and food was under seasoned.

I was craving sushi roll and i understand this is an very affordable place for that, but it was such a lackluster sushi roll. I would opt for a small portion but a more thoughtful execution of the ratio of fish to rice. Too much rice made the rill tasteless.

Egg rolls 10/10 pepper steak n mushroom with onions 10/10 fried rice 10/10... customer service 10/10($10 tip for a $17 meal) My waiter was awesome attentive and the prices were definitely reasonable. Go here if yr ever near Mariana , nowheresville Florida. U won't be disappointed

Overall this place was just okay. We had a big party of 9, and 2 people had issues with their meals being overcooked. Unfortunately for me I think they forgot my order not once, but twice... I'm a patient person though so I didn't make a scene out of the situation. They apologized, and I just ended up taking most of it to go. The food tasted good though! Just an unfortunate event for me.

First visit. Definitely will be back!!!! Sushi California Sunshine roll, cowboy roll with steak and cream cheese and California roll. Miso soup & dumplings. Chicken on a stick. Lobster hot plate, chicken steak hot plate and garlic shrimp Ben to box. All was superb!! Got a take home plate for sis Deb. Shrimp lo mein. If you ever are in Marianna Florida treat yourself at Ume!!!

We absolutely love this place! Food is fresh and delicious. They homemake nearly all their sauces. And the prices are great. And weve never left hungry. Whatever you order, you gotta try the steak hibachi. Most tender and delicious steak I've ever had. The staff all act like family. You just want to invite them over to eat with you. Owners are very involved and work hard to make your meal a positive experience. This is quickly turning into my favorite restaurant. Wish we lived closer. I'd eat here every day.

Price, quality, and service are what makes UME the best restaurant in Marianna. Tom is always there to give us excellent, quick service. We love the hibachi dinner with the ginger salad and miso soup, its so on point and consistently delicious. If you have not had UME, you are missing out!

It was okay. They charged alot to add cream cheese to my roll and my son wouldn't touch the soup. It was okay. I wish they had better selection for kids.

Medicre food. Place is clean but needs maintenance. One big plus is the incredibly low cost. Good for eating out on a budget.

We had a wonderful late lunch. Orange chicken for me and beef and shrimp for him. We both enjoyed our food and even had leftovers to take home. Wonderful service. Very clean. We will be back.
