Amazing view, friendly and attentive staff, and a varied and excellent wine selection

One of our first stops when we got in and wow, get ready to taste some great wines! Fun and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful indoor and outdoor area if the weather permits.

Definitely our favorite tasting. The setting is spectacular. Their knowledge and communication was great. We can't wait for our wine to get shipped so we can relive the experience. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I love visiting a winemakers winery. Kirk Venge is a rockstar winemaker and his label is producing some world class wines. Our visit included tasting several wines on a terrace overlooking the vineyards. The view was breathtaking and the wines were delicious. My favorite was the Bone Ash Cabernet Sauvignon from Calistoga. I also appreciated his Stagecoach Syrah which exhibited phenomenal structure and plenty of blue fruit. Tastings are not rushed and fees are waived with a purchase of wine. Our tasting at Venge was memorable and we look forward to a return visit.

Had a great time at Venge. Was greeted by Tony who took care of us during the visit on 12/28/2023. Tony was very professional, was very knowledgeable about the wines and winery itself, and made us feel right at home within a couple of minutes into our visit. Needless to say we joined their wine club and are looking forward to receiving our first shipment soon. Highly recommend.

My family and I had an incredible experience at Venge! Annie was our hostess and she was so friendly and knowledgeable about the vineyards history as well as Calistoga! The setting was gorgeous and the tastings were fantastic. We had an unforgettable experience! 10/10 would recommend for all!

Amazing experience and outstanding wine. This was the first vineyard we visited in Calistoga and we truly enjoyed the whole experience. We did our lasting on the front porch with a great view of the vineyard. My wife and I enjoyed all the wines we tasted and ended up buying the ones we enjoyed the most.

Kirk Venge is one of our favorite winemakers but we had never visited his family winery prior to this visit. What an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. We really enjoyed the conversation with our host. She did a great job explaining the wines and the history of the Venge Family. She allowed us to taste an assortment of wines not on the menu. The wines were obviously outstanding!!!!! Then again, we expected nothing less from Kirk. We'll definitely revisit in the future.

This place is a must go for real wine lovers. It was more of an experience than a typical tasting. We were really pleased with the wines and joined their club. We loved the small, exclusive feel of the place. Everything from having to call in from the gate, to the feel of almost having the place to ourselves really was great. OUr server was fantastic and we will be back!

A beautiful location with fantastic wines! And a special thank you to Kenny for our tasting--he was so kind and friendly. The conversation flowed and we walked away with some wonderful stories and the history of the area. Kenny also gave us great Calistoga restaurant recommendations. My personal favorite was Scout's Honor--definitely make sure you visit Venge when you're in the area!

Came here with two of my good friends and had the best time! Their tasting room was under construction so our tasting was done in the cellar - which was such a cool experience. Brad was our host and was so great! He was knowledgeable and made our experience very enjoyable; he even gave us recommendations for what else to do while in town. Highly recommend including Venge on your list of go-to wineries while in Napa, especially if you’re looking for something a bit more personal, quaint and less commercial. Call ahead to schedule your tasting reservation as it’s done by appointment only. We will definitely be back to check out their new tasting room once it’s done!

We were treated to an amazing tasting by Eric and the team at Venge. The ambience of sitting on the veranda in a gentle sunlit breeze was only eclipsed by tasting a stunning range of handcrafted bordeaux reds. We were treated to an authoritative outline of viticulture in the Valley and the winemaking techniques that put Venge at the top. Make a booking well ahead as this is not a place where you will join a throng of others at the counter.

It is my hubby and I's first time in Napa to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Initially when planning our trip I didn't know how I felt about the "reservation only" wine tasting notion but after experiencing it today - we loved the experience! When I booked our reservation, Brian was a huge help in answering my questions and booking our reservation. We also received a complimentary call verifying that we were still coming at our reserved time the day before. When we arrived at the gate we were warmly greeted by name - I was impressed that they knew who we were without having to provide our name. The tasting room is beautiful - a cozy home with lots of natural light and elegant decor. It made me want a home-style tasting room with a backyard vineyard! We were given the option of indoor and outdoor and chose outdoor for the vineyard view but inside would have been awesome too! We were escorted to a table already set for two. Our host was Brad and he appeared to be very knowledgeable about the wines and a conversationalist - he definitely wanted to make us feel at home while teaching us about the vineyard and their delicious wines. It was a 90 minute tasting experience, much different than our typical Temecula experience. We had one white wine and Brad realized right away that we weren't fans of white wine so he tailored the rest of our tasting experience to reds and I'm glad he did. Each red wine we had was amazingly delicious and each time I didn't think the next one could get any better and I was pleasantly mistaken each time. By the end of the tasting I wanted them all but we settled for my hubby's favorite and my favorite (Scouts Honor). Since we are flying back to SoCal we were happy to find out that they could ship the wines to us and we didn't have to worry about packing it or shipping ourself - shipping price was very reasonable. Venge was our first reserved tasting for the day and honestly the best! We were really happy with our experience, service, and delicious wine! My only selfish request would be to offer some sort of food or snacks to pair (even if there is a charge). Thank you Venge for making our Napa trip memorable!!

A great visit to Venge winery. Beautiful setting away from the main roads. And, the wines are fantastic! Brad was a tremendous host for our tasting...tons of knowledge and great fun! Highly recommended.
