We dined outside. It was hot but we enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The salsa is spicy. We enjoyed it. It shocked my grandma. Lol. Just a heads up, it was delicious.

🇧🇷 rating 4.5 - good value for money (cheap for the location) Pleasant outdoor environment, but very hot in summer. Traditional Mexican food, very good! I recommend the Fajitas, burritos, enchiladas and tacos. The draft IPA is good too. The waiter Andreas was super polite and attentive despite being busy serving many tables at the same time. We will be back!

Wicked Cantina makes us so CHEERFUL!!! The chips are GREAT, along with the entrees and drinks. The view is awesome and love the music!

Decent food for a good price, flavor is barely there but at least the chips are good. Only problem is the service. We had a host at 11 am who seemed short tempered because one of our guests was a little indecisive. As a result she never came to check up on our table but made the time to small talk to one right next to us. Not to mention the other waiters seemed fine but like they were serving us against their total will. Come here if you’re antisocial

Walked here from the beach and our large group was quickly seated even though it was still super busy. Our waitress was super attentive and the food was really good! We got the queso for the chips they gave us and it was literally the best queso I’ve ever had. I also ordered a power bowl and ate every single bit of it. I would definitely go back again!

Sooo delicious! We had the taco salads and you definitely get a lot of food for a low price! Our male server was very accommodating to my vegetarian needs which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. They had outdoor seating as well. Would come again!

This place was great. Even outdoors they had fans to keep the breeze rolling. Margaritas were great and while I can't talk about all the food the bacon wrapped jalapeno shrimp was fantastic. Great little spot across from the beach!

After waiting 45 minutes they decided to stop seating people because the kitchen was backed up and they also stopped taking to go orders. The staff stood around looking at the wait list. When we asked, the manager Stacy spoke extremely rudely to our family and told us to leave and not come back. Stay far away from this place! I’ve never been spoken to as rudely as the manager spoke to us.

Absolutely abysmal. 25 minutes after being given a 15 minute wait time, we asked to take just chips and queso and anything for the kids to go. Most of outdoor and bar tables were empty. We heard everything from "I just started last week", "we are short-staffed", "we just got busy", "kitchen is backed up" and finally were told we were rude by the manager while commenting on the staff looking at the wait list. Nobody seemed to know what to do. Meanwhile my parenting was scolded as well as being told I was lying when I said I had been waiting 45 minutes in front of my twin 3 yr Olds who were hungry and waiting very patiently this whole time. I've never seen anything like it and can't wait to never come back. Thanks to Justin for trying to help us out.

The food was satisfactory. The service was atrocious! Vacationing party of 10 for a birthday celebration. We were jammed in a table for 8 with no room for one person to eat. They were supposed to get another table for us when it was cleared, well they didn't and we had to ask. The person that moved the table was rude. We got a salad with no dressing, corn dog chicken fingers and fries for the kids, had to ask for ketchup and napkins and straws we each had one drink and were never asked again. They put us in the corner and left us to fend for ourselves. We were there to party, they could have sold us a lot of drinks. After we got up and got our own takeout boxes (we waited a half hour) we flagged down our check . When we said it was a birthday she offered a free dessert, I told her to keep it. We were upset and had to get out of there. It was a little busy inside but only two tables outside where occupied. And when we left all the tables around us where empty. Busy is not an excuse for bad service. We will remember this birthday for sure. Thanks a lot for caring about people.

We were told to leave and not come back by the manager, Stacey, who was in my face. She cut me off, told me I lied basically. My sweet boys left saying "that wasn't very nice.. they wouldn't let us sit down." I've never been treated so outwardly rudely.

Service was the worst i’ve ever experienced. Extremely rude staff. They claimed to be busy and therefore ignored all of their customers. Being busy is no excuse to be rude to customers! Manager yelled at our family. I am shocked. I have never been spoken to this way before. Unfortunately customer was not being rude as stated by owner, I witnessed the entire event. Very disappointed with this response.

This is where you go if you want good tacos or good Mexican food on AMI! Everything had SO much flavor! We did wait a decent amount of time for our waiter, initially, but that was because no one had told him we were in his section outside. He apologized and brought us a comp queso and was ON IT from that point on! I got a combo, which included enchiladas, tacos, rice and charro beans and it was EVERYTHING! My husband got seafood enchiladas and he said they were amazing! Chips, salsa and queso were also great! Their drinks were so good! The key lime pie, for me, was just okay. Definitely not the worst I’ve had (I also have very high Key West key lime pie standards). My husband loved the key lime pie! We got the pleasure of listening to Ross David perform and he was great and so friendly and engaging with the crowd. Go on a day when he’s there, if you can! We will be back for sure!

I had the best fajita salad ever here. It was so good i kept thinking about it throughout the week. I ended up going in and ordered one to go. I was so bummed when i got back to my room and saw that only half of the topping were in it. UGH it made me so mad, it was missing the Quacamolie, Sour Cream, Salsa, and Ranch dressing.

I must say, food was amazing.. food tasted great, service was fast for take out but STRONGLY disagree on the PACKAGING FEE… especially after paying close to $200 for our order. Paid close to $15 for 9 plastic containers and 2 paper bags..👎 Not business smart, would recommend adding the “package fee” into the cost of your entrees..

Hubby and I stopped in for a birthday drink and Jay was our bartender. She was very personable, fun and was all over our drinks. Had a great time! Thanks Jay!

This is an excellent place to dine on AMI. The food selection is broad and is very well crafted. Everything I have tried tastes amazing, including both drinks and food. The service is always well done. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your requests. I can’t say enough about Wicked Catina. It is a gem on AMI. A can’t miss!

I have to admit I was a little skeptical with the mixed reviews. However, no complaints here. Our food was very good and Natalie was a good server. We will definitely be back.

Great Mexican restaurant. The wait wasn't very long, even though the outside patios were closed due to rain. The Wicked Queso was great with white cheese, seasoned well. The salsa was good, so we grabbed a quart to take home. I had the Burrito Carne, which reminded me of the best burrito I've ever had from a place that closed down 30 years ago. Added queso on top and salsa, so it was great. They had live music and great vibes.

To start, Food was okay, portions were incredibly small given the price. The service we received was laughable. (Very rude) Adjacent tables were just as displeased with service. No napkins or silverware. Food runner slammed plates in front of us. The Common theme we got from other customers were “ they jacked up prices along with terrible food/service” lastly “used to be great” Silver lining was the parking! Plenty of it, may be a sign?!

We like coming here when we're on vacation. A little too muggy to sit outside this time but the food is great and the drinks are cold. We all enjoyed our burritos, quesadillas and margaritas. The staff, as always, is top notch and very nice. We'll probably be back again before we leave.

Wonderful food & service! I was with a group of 6 people and everyone was well taken care of & enjoyed their meals!

Great food options with a wide variety to suit a number of flavor pallets. Service is good and food was fresh. It's on the opposite side of the road from the beach so there isn't a great view, but it's still worth checking out and trying the dishes.

Best food we had in our 5 days vacationing on the island! Had the pork nachos and would get it again;

A solid Mexican spot with some great live music. Food was awesome but indoor seating was super limited and any party over 8 they can’t do separate checks. I didn’t have one but was told the bloody Maria was fantastic. Definitely can recommend the wicked queso though, super creamy and came with some great Guac. Food was a bit slow to come out boy we were also hungry and a bit impatient. Didn’t love that we couldn’t push two tables together outside but ultimately we had a good meal and good time.

Worst customer service ever! Starting from the Bartender and ending with the manager that doesn't fix the problem with the bartender. We come to have a nice time with good food and end up being the worst experience. I'm a manager at a restaurant and they are ways to fix different kind of customers problems and she did not do fix it. You guys loose 3 loyal customers just because the bad customer service. Also they send a person to leasing our conversation in spanish (we feel that as racism) and took our drinks and chips from the bar table with out us finish them. The manager kick us out (she said "get out") of the restaurant because the "bartender" didn't want us there. The manager put my margarita in a plastic cup to go and don't allow me to finish my drink. She don't speak with us, she said "I believe her" (the bartender) and kick us out, she dont even talk with us until we request talk with her and she said yes but outside of the restaurant. We wait 1 hour for the table and leave hungry, very upset and embarrassed!!!!

My family was staying on the island for vacation and I met up with them to spend the day. We decided to stop in here for a quick lunch. We were seated right away. They brought out chips and salsa for the table. The chips were really good. So light and airy good amount of salt and the salsa was good with a slight kick. I ordered the quesadilla with chicken and so did someone else. Other's ordered burritos and taco salads. Everyone enjoyed their food and though it was good. I thought the prices were good for the amount of food you got. The two of us who ordered the quesadilla with chicken both agree that it was probably the best quesadilla we have ever had. The chicken was shredded, tender, and flavorful. Most of the time quesadillas are a little boring and you need to spruce them up with taco sauce, sour cream, etc. But this one didn't need anything added it was full of flavor on it's own. Even if you don't get a quesadilla for your main entree I would recommend to get one to share as an appetizer.

Below is my review from 8 years ago but I have to say this place has greatly improved! We stopped in a couple days ago and everything was really good! We really wanted to like this place but we were really not impressed. We ordered guacamole bites but got guacamole. It was avocado with a little pico on top. My 5 year old ordered a kids soft taco and says she liked it but they put pico on it with jalapenos on her plate. My husband got the fish tacos and said they were bland. The shrimp in my tacos were over seasoned but the taco needed it because it consisted of shrimp, cabbage and sauce. The rice was under done. We really weren't impressed and we won't be going back.

Wicked Cantina has been one of our favorite places to go on the island. We always have enjoyed the food and the service. In the past we have ordered to go. Today (6/19/24) we were told they do not do to go orders. We will not be returning to this restaurant. There are other restaurants on this island that are better and do to go orders. We are very disappointed!

Food was worth the wait. I had a Grouper Burger which was very good. We had a group of 8 and they were able to accommodate. Irena was a great server and very attentive to our needs. Thanks so much for the great experience.

Service was great and the food very good.

Went around 5pm after work and it wasn’t too busy. As soon as I sat down, my server brought me free chips and queso because they actually put in too many tickets for it so I was happy. I got the street tacos and they didn’t disappoint. I also got some flavored blended margaritas on happy hour and the flavor was great. Try the pineapple flavor. The salsa is to die for! Has a nice sweet flavor to it and a little zing on the back end. Would definitely recommend trying this place out.

The wicked queso is SO good! And we all loved the salsa! We had a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed. My husband loved the brisket tacos.

Service was absolutely terrible!we had a party of four which was only a twenty minute wait but as soon as we got sat it took 35 minutes for someone at another table to tell their waiter we hadn’t even been asked if we wanted drinks.As far as food goes it was decent.My party was seated next to the bar area which was very loud so if you want a quieter experience I would recommend sitting in another area.

1st time there. 2 of us and we were sat very close to a party of 4 but hostess was nice and resat us, thank you for that, I understand it's a small place. Server came with chips and salsa. Salsa was good. She asked if we would like queso or guac with the chips instead we said sure, queso. Didn't know we would be charged $10 for it until the Bill came, also the Queso was very good. Ordered margaritas with extra salt on the rim, no extra salt BUT the drink was good. My friend got tacos I got fajitas. They brought her tacos and my side plate of lettuce, cheese, sour cream, rice and guac but no meat plate for fajitas. After a long wait the server walks by and says oh you need the sizzling plate. I also asked for a diet coke and the extra sour cream I ordered. Finally get meat, no diet coke or sour cream. The onions and peppers were burnt to the bottom of the sizzling plate the steak was ok but no real flavor. My friends chicken tacos were not hot, when she turned them to bite a watery liquid came out of them and she said it tasted very watery. Finally got the sour cream still no diet coke. When I was almost done a random guy came with a diet coke in his hand and asked if one of us needed it. The rice tasted like it was cooked the day before and just thrown in a microwave. Not gonna lie though I ate my food because I'm paying for it I'm eating it. My friend did not eat hers. The waitress did comp my friends food, so thank you. I won't go back because it just wasn't worth the almost $90 with a tip AND my friends meal was removed. I think the part of environment was the fact an employee locked her key fob in her vehicle and was very loud and mad about it. She and other employees were in and out the door located directly behind my chair so we could hear all the conversations and with it being such a small place so could everyone else. My friend told the waitress she could prob call her insurance company and someone could come open it for her.

Find a long wait at the table with other people getting served, that showed up after us. Food was delicious 🤤

Wouldn’t serve my sister or I. Claimed our ids are fake when we have been here 3 times prior this week and ordered drinks and had no problems with our REAL ids. I am 21 and my sister is nearly 24. Ridiculous and they were rude about it. A joke.

I would not eat here again. I got severely sick after eating the Carnitas Power Bowl yesterday. I tried calling 4 times today to let them know so they could check on the food to ensure safety and was never able to talk to a single person. This was the only place I ate when I got sick and I was the only person who got sick of our party (also the only one who got the carnitas).

Trying to align yourselves with any Tex-Mex joint in Austin is a BIG statement and close only counts in horse grenades guys. Not like Austin Tex-mex at all but not the worst Mexican food in Bradenton. As an Austinite, I cannot disagree more with that statement and find it a little insulting. Change your fryer grease.

As Texan’s it was definitely the better if not the best Tex Mex outside of the lone star state. The chips and salsa were bottomless and included, the fajitas were delicious and it felt like a hole in the wall place we’d have at home. The margaritas were alright, not the best I’ve ever had but the queso was TOP tier

TexMex beach fusion. The brisket tacos were fresh and delicious. The taco shells and jalapeño slaw were hand prepared and filled with slow smoked brisket. The churo beans were delicious. Everything was fresh and very reasonably priced.

Dirty, seen unsanitary things I wish I would not have seen

Really disappointed in this restaurant. It used to be one of my favorites but unfortunately as has alot of places the quality has went way down. I always order the fajita and greens salad. The menu says it's chicken fajita on a bed of mixed greens. Well to start, it was romaine chunks some pieces as long as my finger, also the peppers and onions were not grilled as fajita veggies would be and the chicken was cold pieces on top. I mentioned to the server and she said they are using Romaine now. It was inedible. Here is a photo of this salad 2 years ago to today My kids rice was hard and not cooked thoroughly as well. We did make the waitress aware and she took off the salad but didn't offer to replace with another ite. We are locals and I enjoyed dining here and the atmosphere but unfortunately we won't be returning.

My husband and I sat at the bar for dinner and drinks the other night. The food was good. However, the drinks were not. I ordered a grey goose cosmo. I was charged $19 which is fine if there had been any vodka in it. So disappointing. Also, the bartender was so cold and unfriendly. So much so that we felt extremely uncomfortable. Too many restaurants to choose from not sure I would return.

Bugs all over outside. Nothing anyone could have done to fix that though. Food was not good but right across from the beach. Good for sunset watching
