I'm so sad...... We have heard about Yoder's for years and had been intending to go, but have just never gotten around to it. So.....the reason I am so sad is because I've missed out on this amazing place for so long. I guess I'll just have to make up for the missed time somehow! The food is simple but amazingly good! The French toast, made from their homemade loaves of bread, is awesome and the warm butter syrup completes it!

Great food, very affordably priced. Worth the hour drive and 90 minute wait to be seated. Will definitely go back.

Great county hardware store and restaurant. Loved the french toast and the butter sururp. Also scored a great windchime in the hardware store.

Note: I only rated 3 stars for atmosphere because I wasn't there, but by the pictures, it looks wonderful! My aunt brought Yoder's through takeout as I don't consider myself a morning person and I didn't feel like waking up earlier. Next Saturday, I'll definitely be there in person. Every item that I asked for (hashbrowns, sausage link, French toast) is beyond perfection. I don't know what they put in the syrup, but it's addicting. Very delicious, I'll definitely try to be there in person next time!

My daughter pancake was not done waited 20 minutes to be seated get seated waited 30 minutes to get the food. Food come out an didn't get everything I order the food was horrible. The food was not hot. The waiter didn't refill the drinks or ask did we need anything until it was time to pay won't be back.

Simply the best! I would go every day if I could. Their French toast and homemade butter syrup are fabulous! It is worth the drive and the wait. You won't be disappointed!

I have had yoders dutch pantry two times and I have never been upset. the food is consistent,hot,fresh,and homemade.The wait time was about a hour or so but that is to be expected for a amazing place like yoders as it is definitely worth the wait.Some of my favorites dishes from yoders are the dutch potato casarole it's rich and creamy and pairs well with your breakfast. The French toast and pancakes with the homemade syrup are amazing as well as they are fluffy and just the right breakfast item to start off the day. Other than the amazing food and the nice welcoming staff while walking into yoders you are transported to a warm and cozy atmosphere with the shops being there for you to shop while you wait. Inside there are many different decor,shirts, cups you name it. Overall yoders is a must to visit.

Waitress was apparently not on top of her game? Fried potatoes were burnt, eggs were not cooked as ordered. Had to ask for toast and the toast was not prepared correctly.

WOW! Wonderful place! So good. I went 3x in less than a month! Had to take others with me to show them I wasn't lying!!! The place is fantastic and it's getting even better when they open the top floor for the new coffee/tea shop and make the dumb-waiter to transport the ordered drinks to those at the restaurant on the bottom floor!!! I can't wait!!!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

We used to love this place but the last 2 times we have been there the quality of the food has been terrible. I understand everyplace can have a bad day with food but today the only thing we got that was hot was the tea. Eggs, bacon and grits were all cold. The real problem was I ask for some tea and after about 5-6 minutes I went up and asked could I get the tea I had asked for. The girl that I spoke to ask our waitress and our waitress said “if I he didnt order so many drinks there wouldn’t be a problem” (not realizing I was standing behind her at the counter) well this was my first glass of tea after 1 cup of coffee. I am the customer it don’t matter if I order 50 drinks as long as I’m paying it is her job to bring them to our table. I hope she realizes she lost $10 in tips because of her sorry attitude..

Hey Ya'll! This was my first time eating here at Yoder's. It was great! My brother in law and sister in law took my husband and I there for breakfast this morning. They have the restaurant and also the Pantry and also a store with a lot of pretty much everything, lol. There is quite a bit of homemade items here that are locally made. The Pantry has food items that are locally made like candies, jams, jellies, canned items and also honey, and lots of spices and other food items. I was in heaven, lol. They also have chairs and tables outside that you can purchase. The restaurant was really clean and everyone was really nice. The food was awesome. But my biggest recommendation is....the French toast with homemade butter syrup!! OMG! You can also purchase the syrup as well which I did.

Great spot for breakfast! My boys are 2 and 4 and very picky eaters and they ate almost all of their breakfast! The staff are so friendly!

Yoder's Dutch Pantry is a magical delicious spot. Our first time visiting, we gave our name and then went through the charming attached store. Such a treat. We loved all the interesting, unique items and left with some wonderful items. The food was scrumptious. Fresh, cooked perfectly and large portions. The owner sat with us and our server sat down and chatted with us too. We felt right at home. We will be making this a regular spot for sure.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Best breakfast out of any place I've been. Feels like I'm at home making food myself. If you wanna stop in make sure you get there early. Usually it's packed, and especially on the weekends. You won't be disappointed. These ladies work hard to deliver a superior product. My hat is off to the hard working individuals who make it their goal to please you. Thank you ladies at Yoder's for such dedication and excellence. Tip well, they deserve every penny.

This place is absolutely amazing. Their breakfast is literally the best I've ever had. Everyone is super nice, and is very attentive. Of course the wait is long, but it's totally worth it.

Great meals, especially Thursdays special Thick porkchops so tender that only need fork to cut. Avariety of delicious flavored butter. Biscuits that melts in my mouth and tasty mahed potatoes. The attached store is a bit expensive but offers a variety of items to include hardware items. A

A great destination for breakfast or lunch, and a fun store to browse through attached to it. I bought a t-shirt on sale as a souvenir.

One of my favorite breakfast places to eat. They have the best french toast with the butter syrup. They have a cinnamon roll french toast which tastes awesome. If you’re around the area I would recommend it. Just be there early in the morning because it does get busy.

I’m giving this place five stars because it deserves it. But as with any restaurant in this town/New Bern. The elderly population ruins it. There’s always a wait. Like an hour lol. And all the old people that come to this place take an hour to eat one egg and a piece of toast.

I always bring my out of state family here and they absolutely love it.

Be prepared to wait but the time went by fast, 1st time trying this business today, I must say the cinnamon roll french toast was very very good! You can tell that they are freshly made. My husband pancakes were huge, he couldn’t eat them all!! I say that to say you definitely get your money worth and the drinks(OJ) are in a nice side cup. We wasn’t a fan of the dutch fries I think that’s what they was. Next time we will have to try a different style of potatoes. They were busy from the time we got there until the time we left. Our waitress was friendly as well!!

From the employees, to even the patrons, everyone is Extremely nice. The food is beyond Amazing. And they have a bit of everything in the store as well.

Won't be back for a while. Very disappointed the last 2 trips. Poor service, very long wait and cold food. Eggs were way undercooked and cold. Witnessed people there 30 minutes before opening and when doors opened they served the people that had just walked in. We waited for service 30 minutes and then hour wait for food. Very uncalled for! Use to be such a great place to eat. I read your response. When waitress came back I was already almost done. It been a long wait on eggs I'm sure! And for your discount it was only $1.80. And I did mention to manager before I paid! And your welcome for me being honest. I know we none perfect but 2 times In a row is unsatisfactory. I did walk right in and sit down! We waited 30 minutes before you opened! The problem was that the other people that got there at or after opening got served first. Me and others waited an hour for food! Plus it was about 30 minutes before waitress even came to table. We were not the only ones upset. I'm sorry if voiceing my experience offended you but it was the truth. Thanks

Great food! Get there early especially on Saturdays. It’s a very popular place. Cinnamon Rolls, French Toast, cheese biscuits all good. I’ve never had anything bad there. If you find you are waiting to be seated go next door and browse the supply store. They have many neat items to keep you busy while you wait to be seated.

This is an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious. They make everything homemade. They sell fresh baked goods as well. Our waitress was excellent. Made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend getting here early. They are only open until 2pm so be prepared for a wait. There is also a country store attached to Yoders with tons of stuff to keep you busy while you wait. We waited about 45 minutes but it went by quickly while we were in store. The sugar cookies were amazing and the cinnamon rolls are gigantic. Love this place. When driving to it, you may wonder if you’re going the right way. lol it is in the country.

A great place for eating out. The breakfast is what I go for. The food is prepared Amish style with good flavor. Their butter syrup is wonderful. Be prepared to wait to b seated because they stay busy! If you haven't tried them u must try it!!! It's Umm Umm good! Lol!

This place is very helpful to answer questions, and very polite. This place is clean and has lots of inventory. Very good if you have animals, love to cook, if you want to show lots of love, And a big appetite. 😀

Soup not hot n cheese not melted on grilled cheese but more like it was just toasted.

Best biscuits and gravy I have had since my grandma 20 years ago. I also took home delicious sweets and a lasagna to eat later. I can not wait to go back.

Yoders is an oasis in the desert. With not much else around, it has lots of options as it is a general store, plus the food on the restaurant side is simply amazing. I recommend yoders to all.

We went for breakfast yesterday and the food was horrible. It’s hard to ruin breakfast food, but they did. The pancakes were so dry they were inedible. The French toast was small and cold. The country ham was so small it was only 2 bites! The homefries were almost too overdone to eat. The only good thing we’re the Dutch potatoes. Now the price for all of this was $25! We will definitely not be back.

We have been coming to Yoder’s for years. It is one of few places where the experience lives up to the hype. They have absolutely delicious fresh-roasted coffees with listed origins and custom blends of loose-leaf tea. The baked goods you can buy at the store/bakery are always incredible, with the loaves of fresh bread being a standout. They take their fresh white loaves and slice them thickly for their sumptuous French toast which comes with their homemade butter syrup. The Dutch potatoes are not to be missed. They recently renovated, adding many more seats to what was once a very small restaurant. The country store is always a fun experience, with live parrots, peacocks, and poultry. I heartily recommend Yoder’s if you haven’t given it a try yet!

We went before Christmas to start a tradition. Food was great, service outstanding. We are planning to do this every year right before Christmas.

Truly some the best home cooking around! The cinnamon roll french toast is out of this world amazing!

The Food is great. Atmosphere is really awesome. Servers are wonderful. However, From the time we showed up to put our names on the list, to the moment we got our food, was almost 2.5 hours. It’s easy to pass that time in the old fashioned hardware store, but if you’re expecting to be there to have a meal with friends for an hour and then go on to your work for the day, it could lead to some frustration.

Thank you kindly for a wonderful breakfast experience. The hostess (possibly Loretta) greeted us with a very welcoming smile. Although we had a 90-minute wait, it was worth it. Our food was served hot and to our specifications. Katrina was very personable and accommodating. There are many options on the menu, so we will definitely return. **During our wait we drove to the Maple Cypress boat ramp, to Piney Neck, Vanceboro, and then had time to shop in the store attached to the restaurant.

It was our first time and we loved the food. The soup was perfect for the sniffles we were experiencing. The staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable about the food and products. We will return often.

I can't say enough GREAT things about this restaurant!!! From the service to the food, everything was EXCEPTIONAL!! You can just tell when people care about the plate of food they put in front of you! You have to try the homemade honey butter maple syrup they have to offer! Heads up... you WILL have to wait for a table, but spend that time wandering around the amazing 2 story general store they have and the time will pass quickly, and the food is WELL worth the wait!! We will be visiting this restaurant again very soon! Check them out!! P.S. the French Toast is the BEST!! Homemade Bread and a wonderful Bakery for take hoke treats! Super clean including the restrooms!

First time eating here since the remodeling. More spacious dining area now. Breakfast is still excellent! Only thing I would suggest is perhaps providing WiFi for customers being that cellular service is basically nonexistent in the area.

This business reminds me of a sort of Cracker Barrel type. It has a restaurant with a good menu and even better food and service. Prices are fair. The rest of the business has a gift section and hardware hunting fishing and farm sections too.

Took my friend Phyllis there for her birthday! They sang Happy Birthday to her and had a cinnamon bun with a little candle in it. Great time!

First time going here. A little wait, nothing too bad and expected for a busy Saturday morning. While waited we went next door to the shop and looked around, bought their homemade jam/bread and local honey. Wait was worth it- amazing food and very nice people. This is our new breakfast weekend spot

Yoder’s Dutch Pantry is simply delicious, and the service is excellent. It is a drive from Greenville or New Bern, and I suggest visiting early on Saturday to avoid missing breakfast or bakery items. I recently ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, with country ham & dutch potato casserole. It was fantastic as always!!

Yoders has been a family go to breakfast spot for years! A very pleasant, calm atmosphere and the food is delicious! Their homemade syrup will make anyone keep coming back & I love how we’re always greeted with a smile & warm greeting. I enjoy the talking parrot & small store they have next door, it’s great to wander around while waiting for your table to be buzzed. French toast can’t be found anywhere else, so please try that if you haven’t already!

First time today going here for breakfast. 1 slice French toast on their homemade bread, 1 patty sausage, 2 scramble eggs with Swiss cheese & Dutch potato casserole( omg so delicious). We live 45 mins away and we came to try it out. I WILL SAY THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER EATEN ANYWHERE and I am 48.service was fantastic also

The food is home made. Place is busy. Staff is friendly and courteous. The attached general store is awesome. Good place to go and wander around while you wait for a table and your beeper to go off.

This place is amazing. Yoder's has so many unique, hand-crafted items that it's so hard to choose from. The baked products are to die for. We tried the raisin bread and cinnamon buns. My husband and i wrestled each other for the last bite. We already had lunch so we didn't have a meal here. I'm planning to take my daughter and her boyfriend back today because we've heard the food is excellent. They also have a variety of plants. The staff is very friendly. I can't forget to mention the ice cream. I didn't get a chance to purchase it, but I will when I return. Can't wait!!

Be prepared to wait. We had to wait about an hour and a half to be seated, but it was worth it. The food was amazing. Great taste, freshly made, large portion, and at a very reasonable price.

I'm from the Grifton area, Savanah neighborhood. I currently live in Fayetteville GA. Whenever I come home they are my breakfast place. Friendly people great staff, outstanding food. The general store it's connected to is also a wonderful place to shop!!

Was told hour and a half wait for a table, but after seeing people with carry out containers asked about carry out. Was 20 minutes and ate it on the porch. Excellent French toast.
