I love it here. Take my money. All of it. The English muffins are literally the best I have ever had. The breakfast sandwich tastes so fresh and delicious. If I had one everyday I think I would be a superhero. Anytime someone is in town I take them here. The service makes me feel loved. 1748 you are the one.

Found this place on a recommendation from a friend, and it was simply delish! I had the ham and Gruyere croissant, Hibiscus tea and Florida citrus cookies....LOVED IT!

These negative reviews are unhinged and people clearly can’t handle having their energy matched when they decide to be disrespectful towards workers. Anyway, I just moved to Springfield and decided to check this spot out as it’s within walking distance from my new house. I had a wonderful experience. Yes, there was a bit of a wait (no more than 10-15 minutes), but the staff were extremely friendly, and they have plenty of fun goodies to look at while you’re waiting for your food. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with Turkey sausage, as well as a few items from their case and everything was amazing! I’ll be going back today and making this a regular for sure! Thank you for offering such a fun and wonderful place to enjoy in Springfield!

I’m not a local but I visit regularly and I will never visit again without stopping here. Holy cow!!! Everything I’ve eaten or drank from here has exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time. Killer baked goods. Fresh ingredients. The service is so friendly and kind. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out.

I visited twice in 24 hours. That says it all. This felt like a neighborhood spot. It appeared the staff knew everyone that walked in. They were so personable and friendly. I was looking for a bakery that sold pastry and I was not disappointed. Everything I tried was delicious. And they have fun flavor combos. I will be trying them all.

Went for a quick meeting and absolutely fell in love with the place. Had an iced chai and some sort of spinach and goat cheese empanada, it was soooo good!! My friend had a salad which was delicious and massive! I then walked around a bit to to check the place out and not only was it well kept but the decor was cool and the little viewing window to see the pastry chef rolling up what looked to be croissants was pretty neat too. Overall, I highly recommend checking out 1748 bakehouse ☕️

I found my colada in JAX (I am from Miami), the best, good muffins (vegan) nice atmosphere, everything looks fresh and delicious. Will try some other stuff next time. First time to the bakery, and I am telling you the best colada I had since I moved from Miami, (1 month ago)

Being huge fans of their foccacia bread in Riverside Arts Market, we ordered for our baby gender reveal. On the day of pick up, they mentioned they missed the order and asked to pick up later that day (the party was same day) or next day. When we picked up next day, the bread was so hard and we were unable to eat that we had to threw all of it. Very upsetting!!

Try to find a cuter, nicer, tastier bakehouse in Jacksonville. You can't!! I love their Galettes more than life itself, their vanilla latte was so delicious I savored it, their store items are high quality, the bathroom is gorgeous too. The vibes are exceptional.

1748 Bakehouse is the BEST. Fresh-made bakery items, sandwiches and salads, sweets and savory breads, coffees and teas, mimosas etc. complete with a lovely pantry filled with quaint merch, accoutrement, to-go wines and NA-AF beverages, etc. The girls there add to the experience, and always make you feel at home and uplifted. What a way to the start the day! Catering and boxed lunches also available!

I love it here so much. The food and drinks are delicious and the staff is so nice! I love pursuing the baked goods case and the bodega area to bring some stuff home. Would love to see some more gluten free and dairy free options in their selections in the future though.

Pimento BLT was exquisite . The. Poppy seed muffin Devine . The Coratdito was on point and don’t forget to get the Cold Brew .

Today was my first time trying this hidden little gem. I had the breakfast sandwich 🥪 The food was literally an aphrodisiac!! If I could marry a sandwich this is the one I would pick. Can’t wait to try the rest of their items. Kind of excited what emotions I will be feeling next visit.

I can’t find a thing to nit-pick about this GEM of a Bakery/Café: Great espresso, decadent (VEGAN AVAILABLE) baked goods and meals, and a lovely selection of home wares by local makers. Warm and friendly staff take time to ask about allergies and truly go all the way for your experience. Will 100% be blabbing about you guys to EVERYONE- thanks for a great afternoon!

GREAT coffee, great service, food was fresh and tasty. Ladies who took the order and the servers were super nice, and gave great recommendations. I had a seasonal oat-milk latte- and me being super picky with my coffee, this one did not disappoint. Breakfast Sandwich in sourdough bread was so delicious. We took two baked sweets home and they were amazing!!! Their options of take home items like honey, tea, syrups, olive oil, pasta- were very intriguing. We can't wait to come back.

Went for the first time today for breakfast and it was delicious! I got the breakfast sandwich and an iced vanilla latte. I love the vibe and the employees were friendly and attentive. I will say, it's a small space so seating is limited when it's busy. Loved sitting outside this morning tho. Definitely will be back!

Great fresh kombucha tea and awesome caramel peanut butter brownies

Best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The ham and cheese ratios were perfect and the fig jam to counter the salty ham And sharp cheese. I’ll eat this sandwich anytime day or night. Coffee was spot on. Right amount of sweetness to bitter. Perfection.

All around amazing experience every time! The breakfast sandwich is what dreams are made of.

This is a very fine bakery and brunch place! They are a small shop, but they never bored me! Every week they come up with new dissents, and each one is different and taste excellent. Their sandwich is my husband’s favorite. Absolutely delicious! The coffee is a must try too!

Amazing food and coffee- terrible experience with management. By far the rudest interaction I’ve ever had at a small business. While I find the food to be wonderful, I will not be returning because I didn’t not feel welcomed at all. Oh, and even though there’s WIFI & you plan on working during the hours allowed, you’re still strongly discouraged from working or studying there with devices for any period longer than 1 hr. Update: I was there at 9:20 am today & the bakery was EMPTY, and I was respectful & followed with the wifi rules. I was not disruptive to any customers. I worked while I ate my food and consumed my coffee- which took MAYBE 40-60 minutes.

Disappointing. While the coffee and the baked goods were very delicious, the owner/manager made the experience rather negative. We walked in around 9:30 and ordered our food and drinks and then sat to open our laptops and get to work. While I was searching for a plug in, the manager lied to us and said they didn’t have many of those despite there being one under each table. Then, while I worked to plug my laptop in, the owner/manager grabbed Destyni by the arm and informed her we could only work there for 30-45 minutes despite the place being rather empty. Later, our friend offered to purchase a sandwich for a man who had come in asking for food as a kindness. The owner/manager immediately stopped her, shooed her away and stated ‘we don’t do that here’. While we were sitting, the owner/manager also made a man get up and move tables so that two other ladies could sit even though they had gotten drinks to go and wouldn’t be staying. She was blatantly rude to customers and made a beautiful space feel very unwelcoming and cold. Despite really loving the food and drinks, we are sad to say we won’t be returning

I wish I could give this place a better review. They have great coffee and baked goods that I really enjoyed. However, the owner really put a damper on the experience. Being rude to paying customers is no way to act. Before coming make sure you read the reviews. You will see multiple people have something to say about the owner. Unfortunately the good coffee and baked goods don’t make up for the owner’s attitude towards people.

A quaint little place with fabulous baked goods. Not your usual breakfast/lunch fare. Delightful combinations of flavors. Also, they were accommodating when we asked for something from the menu with edits. The hot tea cup was generous and the cold coffee was excellent. Certainly, worth a try.

I love the fruit galettes here. And, the service is great and the employees are very friendly! I feel like I'm somewhere special when I'm there. You can pick up an interesting bottle of wine or some other culinary delight you might not find elsewhere.

I love this bakery. Every time I'm in Jacksonville, I have to visit to see what baked good they are feature that day. Everything is baked fresh and I love the seasonal baked good they have. The first time I visited i had the granola and I purchase a focaccia bread. It was delicious. This time I had the Vegan Pesto sandwich and the seasonal galette. The leeks, brussel sprouts, onions and gruyere cheese galette was amazing. I was sunrise how tender the brussels were. It was a great flavor combination. The vegan pesto sandwich was good. I would have like the bread toasted. I think it would elevate the sandwich. The staff is very friendly. This is a place us have to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff, consistently fresh unique pastries, Delicious coffee, warm and artistic ambiance. We go every weekend now to the arts market to get their goodies. If you're looking for an artisan baker with quality ingredients this is your place.

1748 Bakehouse is my favorite spot to go to in town! I began going here when I was 9 months pregnant, often multiple times a week up through my parental leave period (and I still go). Food and coffee - everything is so delicious here. Each thing you try will be seasoned, flavored, cooked, or baked almost perfectly. They have a pastry case with different baked goods each day, a permanent menu with sandwiches, salads, and a few other items. Their quiches are outstanding, often times they have a more custard-like texture and they’re AMAZING, so delicious. I highly recommend any quiche, the Sourdough Panzanella salad, Pimento BLT, any galette! They serve Pura Bean coffee and make all of their coffee syrups from scratch. I often get an Iced Mocha with almond milk and the mocha sauce is spot on! Service - the service is always excellent here. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating! Atmosphere - such a perfect atmosphere. They have a little bodega with some house-made items, wine, honey, and kitchen gifts. Little touches that make it welcoming and quaint. Always clean. I love the changing table in the bathroom - it’s soft, comfortable, safe, and clean for the baby. My only qualms are that it could be in a bigger space with more seating; I’m also not fond of the on-street parking but that’s a nightmare for any place with on-street parking. You must try this place if you haven’t already!

One of my all time favorite bakeries in the country

Out of my 30-plus years on this earth, this has been the worst restaurant/bakery experience. This morning, I decided to stop in and catch up on some reading while I waited for my daughter and her robotics team to finish their meeting. A quick Google Maps search took me to a parking spot in front of the shop. Upon entering, I thought it would be a warm environment based on the décor and friendly cashier. While I looked at items on the wall, one of their employees kept their eyes on me (as if I were planning to steal something). I thought it odd, but After looking at the intriguing items on display, I ordered a muffin, a Matcha Latte with almond milk, and an espresso, then asked for the WIFI. The cashier told me, but I forgot and decided to ask again when my food arrived. Before the staff member could finish, the owner aggressively stated we don't provide WIFI on the weekends as it doesn't fit my business model. Instead, I read my PowerPoint without their WIFI as I ate my food and tried to enjoy my coffee. Moments later, I was asked (more so told) to switch to a bar area so others could be seated. While this was a little abnormal, I was upset by how rude and condescending the employee was as she asked (more like told) me to move. Finally, I am at the bar, and this man walks up, reaches over my drinks, and mentions something about my laptop. Completely invading my personal space, a staff member walks over and gets him out of the way. She then asks if I am okay. At this point, I am overwhelmed. I packed my laptop, left my food and drinks, dodged out of the door, and headed to my car in tears. Please note that all of this happened in a matter of 20 minutes. Also, note that there are signs on the napkin holders (Looking back, I should have taken a picture) that mention their rules for WIFI. However, I didn't break any rules, and I was a paying customer who planned on eating my food, drinking my coffee and espresso, and heading back to my daughter's meeting. This bakery/restaurant was the most unwelcoming environment I have ever encountered as a black woman and human. I can not believe this place is thriving in this lovely Jacksonville community. I have taken my laptop out at many restaurants while dining alone. Some of those restaurants are Hawkers (during lunch), Cowford (dinner), First Watch (brunch), and many more. Typically, on Saturdays, while my husband is watching football. I mentioned the examples to point out that this restaurant owner should have chosen a better business model and needs to treat paying customers/humans with respect. The random guy who walked in off the street was treated with more dignity than I was. Thanks for reading about my experience. If you decide to try this place out, I hope you have a better experience than I did.

Very tasty food. Menu varies daily and they offer good options. Nothing boring. No generic menu. Love the decor. I refer a lot of people and visiting family from out of town loved the food and atmosphere. The ladies, serving behind the counter are always friendly and willing to help. Owner has never been positive when I’ve seen her or even sat by her in the café. First time sitting by her, I was not aware she was the owner until someone pointed that out later. Can’t get her to even crack a smile. She’s quite unfriendly. (No excuse.) But her family-owned Cafe and employees make up for her cold demeanor.

Very nice spot to read, relax or catch up on some work. Definitely need to get a coffee, they have options if you don't want standard drip. I'm a huge grilled cheese guy. I order it in a lot of different places and I ordered it here and it's top 2 of my life. Very easily. Of all places I go, my number 1. They use local ingredients and local dairy too which is a plus

This is a beautiful, welcoming and wonderful spot for extraordinary baked goods, pastries and lunch. My favorites are the hand pies and English muffins (sooo good). The soups and vegan cheeses are incredible. Allison also curates marvelous things like cutting boards, glasswear and other items so it’s truly a gift shopping spot too. Check out their frozen items for dinners and hors d’ouvres.
