Great breakfast in a classic dinner atmosphere!

How can you mess up breakfast ? i had the sausage and gravy. No pan drippings of sausage, so it was unfavorable. Home fries are just potatoes cut in half and deep fried. No pepper or onions No salt or pepper. Irish coffee not!!! Looks like a regular cup of coffee. No whip cream no chocolate sauce on top, and I feel like there was no Irish in it either.

Was there a week ago and has the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at a dining establishment. I know eating by the beach is expensive but I ordered two breakfasts, one was $11 and one was $13. Somehow my bill was over $40 for two meals that had portions smaller than kfcs sides. My waitress never checked up on us ONCE, except to bring us the bill. She sat right in front of us on her phone texting and laughing the entire time we were there. Had to ask multiple other waitresses to serve us. The owner of the establishment finally seen I was unhappy and walked over and asked if everything was okay. I explained I didn’t know why my bill was over $40 and came back and told me they charged me extra for cheese (still don’t know how that makes it almost $40 and nobody ever told us of the extra charges upon ordering.) He was not helpful at all and just walked away, the front desk women were extremely rude and don’t even greet you. I understand people having bad days, but I mean come on, I’ve been in the customer service industry for almost 10 years and that is no way to treat someone. Went the next day to Conellys Shore Diner and had the ABSOLUTE BEST experience and paid $20 less! They even said how horrible this place is and how even the waitress of this establishment go to their diner to eat, and she wasn’t lying cause there was three of them there! Highly recommend that place or really any other place over this one. The entire rest of my vacation I ate at 5 star restaurants and still only paid the SAME AMOUNT as this establishment for pretty much no food, and TERRIBLE service.

We live locally and have been going to A1A Beachside Diner since they opened. Initially, when this restaurant was taken over by new management, I wrote a not so flattering review as I had a not so great meal and experience. Since then, I’ve been back to the restaurant at least a dozen times and it’s very consistent. Very good, fair pricing great with the rare exception of when I sit at the bar. So now I make sure I never sit at the bar even if I’m alone and everything is copacetic. I really enjoy the Beachside diner.

The menu has basic breakfast and lunch items that are not all available at the same time, unfortunately, so we had to regroup to order breakfast that was somewhat overpriced for the portions. Our server was very nice and the tables were clean.

Great food and amazing staff! Had to stop in for a 2nd lunch while on vacation this week as we were so impressed with the first visit. Classic breakfast was great, Club sandwich was one of the best. Waffles were great, chicken tenders were very good. All day breakfast is a nice addition!

This is a great place to go to breakfast. Lots of yummy looking options and good drinks. I got the spicy chicken and waffle and it was amazing the chicken had a great taste and the waffle was like yummy cornbread. I would recommend this to anyone.

My son's Birthday Breakfast, perfectly cooked and served by a pleasant and efficient lady. Clean and bright, choice to dine inside or out after parking in their nice parking lot. 😀

We were a party of 6. Arrived at 8:25 and they close at 9. Wanted to make sure we were quick because it was at the end of the night. Our waitress seemed annoyed that we were there. I think it was Jess? After 2 minutes from ordering, a plate of wings came out. Not ours. Flagged down the waitress finally and they took them away, delivering them to another table. I’m sure they were cold. Next, the food runner spilled a lemonade on one of the meals. No new plate, but a replacement of fries. Waitress walked by without eye contact or waiting for an answer asked how is everything. No personality But had no prob adding on a gratuity that she didn’t earn. Party of 6. Ps I never complain and have been in the restaurant business 45 years

Very underwhelming experience. The blonde girl with the leg tattoo behind the counter this morning is extremely rude. Not even a hello or welcome and she was like this to every customer I saw her interact with, not just me. Just "what do you want to drink" . Not a "here's our specials today" or even "here's the menu". Food took forever. Nothing to write home about when I got it years later (oh, and the cook brought it out to me bc I guess my server couldn't be bothered to do her job and didn't notice that the good was ready). She didn't bring me utensils and was just chatting with her coworkers not worrying about her customers at all. Another person has to get her attention for me to alert her that she didn't bring me any utensils, she was that caught up in conversation. I see a bunch of other great servers here being kind to their customers except this server. It's like girl, it's not even 11am why so salty already?! Don't recommend this place based on this experience. I guess I just got the dud server today and I hate to say it, but I'll tip accordingly 🤷 she should take a lesson from her fellow servers. A hello or how's it going over here goes a long way. Oh well! Won't be coming back again. Someone should talk to that girl about her manners. Not with the price, very expensive, terrible service (at least by that young lady), and you can get the same style breakfast at waffle House for half the price. No thanks.

Went in for lunch on Monday, had chicken salad on rye and wife had the Rueben. Both such a huge portion definitely left full and quality was above any expectation. Holly our server was so awesome we returned for breakfast this morning and once again everything was so fresh, tasty and very quick coming out. Very highly recommend this diner, ask for Holly.

Incredible. Had the “Hair of the Dog” Bloody Mary and the crab and shrimp crepes and avocado toast. Very generous portions, fantastic flavor, wonderful service. Great service, impeccably clean. If you aren’t having breakfast here you are missing out. Christie our server was prompt, kind and efficient!

Breakfast was average at best. All of our eggs were undercooked for over medium. Toast was very hard and the hash brown casserole was super salty. Not the best spot for breakfast.

Great food for any meal. It was very busy but we got seated very quickly. I had French toast and it was very good and filling. We had a very nice and efficient service. I am a food critic and I normally don’t see great food in such quick time.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a very nice diner, like something out of some movies. What we (husband and 2 children) ate was completely sufficient (rather too much) but tasty. The staff is very friendly and always considerate that everything fits... Price was also ok... I can recommend it.

My wife and I stopped by for a late breakfast...the food and service was very good...ask for Holly for excellent service and a wonderful personality.

We stopped in for my birthday breakfast. I got the corned beef ( real corn beef )hash and over medium eggs with a burnt English muffin and my husband got the avocado toast. The food was really good with the exception of the English muffin. They did replace it but it was too dry and or old tasting for me but will definitely be back. The corned beef hash is 10 out of 10 and my husband really enjoyed the avocado toast

We came on a Saturday morning. There were a lot of people here so parking was limited. We parked at the place next door. Restaurant was very crowded. We were seated fairly quick. I ordered the avocado toast with over medium eggs. My wife ordered the corned beef has breakfast. I also ordered a cup of coffee. The wait staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was pretty good. The only 2 takeaways was that my wife received an English muffin that was overcooked so she had to request another one. Also I felt that the coffee was very weak. Other than that everything else was good. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

Visited again on 2024 - service was ok, food meh and prices were thru the roof for the quality of food and service. We were very disappointed since we ate here 2 years ago. Sad to see good places go down after awhile. Excellent food and service! Very clean place, our server was super friendly and checked on us all the time. Food was excellent and very tasty. So good I had eggs with crab and lobster on English muffin and hollandaise sauce on top.

The specialty coffees were delicious. The spicy chicken and waffles is awesome! Definitely worth it. It never sounded good to me but I now know I've been missing out.

Nice place. ordered avocado toast, omelette, apple pie French toast, hashbrowns.food was missing salt and seasoning so pretty bland. We had to put salt and Tabasco Sauce. Would recommend adding little seasoning to the food

I am a local and have tried this diner several times. First time was great and service was wonderful. After this as soon as I was brought to table to hostess runs off and never brought the high chair for my baby. Then I was sat in the farthest corner and forgotten about. I sat for over 30 minutes before a waitress appeared even after going back to the hostess several times to ask for a waitress. My baby was quiet and didn’t make a sound there but I feel like they do not welcome children there at all as this same experience has happened over three different attempts, the last one being with my parents, where we watched a waitress bring a bowl of water for a dog before even asking us and we had been seated long before the other table. The food is tasteless and cold, which mimics the staff who are not friendly at all. If you are local run the other way as this seems to be a tourist trap where they can take advantage of the tourists and could care less about the actual residents who live here. Run this place is horrible!!! Gave one star because I couldn’t give zero stars to equal the zero effort this establishment makes.

The waitress was not friendly. We received attitude the entire time. There was a table diagonal from us that asked for something. When she walked away the customers said "don't ask for too much"

Average breakfast, price was good, the breakfast potatoes are size of golf balls, & way overcooked with zero flavor.

They weren’t very busy but there was still nowhere to park. Hostess ran off before i could ask her for a high chair for the one year old i was holding. Waited 30 minutes after ordering for food (longer than people seated after us), it was cold and the portions were underwhelming. Waitress offered to warm it up. Recommend a different spot for breakfast

Overall a good place but when they are busy you'll have to wait. Our server did not check in on us till the end and I was a bit disappointed that I did not get my coffee refilled but other than that the place was good overall. I suppose I can understand that when they are crazy busy they have little time for detail. So I do recommend the place, but if they are busy the service can be a bit lacking. I think 4 stars is fair.

My Breakfast was $16.46 to begin with I ask for some extra gravy for my Biscuit since it did not cover my biscuit and guess what they charged me an extra $3.46 for a mini bowl of gravy and did not tell me there would be a charge for it Surprised. Nice place but pricey for breakfast

I wish i could give it 10 stars. My servers name was Holly. She was up beat and very friendly. The place has a 1950s dinner feel with lots of old car decore. Very clean and new looking. Seems to be very popular. Prices are good. Food was outstanding and fairly prompt. The only downside due to popularity is the undersized parking lot. Extra parking can be found across the street (north) at a neighboring store. I will go back a d eat at this local diner again. Two years later, 2024, still great food. I do have to address the prices now. For two grandparents and a 3yo, 46 bucks. 8.50 for a half of waffle, 5.50 for a small bowl of fruit for a 3yo is to much. That's 5 bucks more than an adult breakfast. Oh, one more thing, 3.85 for a coffee is gouging. Would enjoy eating there again but the prices are to high.

We decided to give this place a try based on reviews. What a mistake! Service was slow. I was never offered a refill on coffee, even though there were very few diners present at the time of my visit. Young bored looking seating hostess never once even smiled. Very unwelcoming! I ordered biscuits and gravy. My companion had the hash. Food was blah. For a $35 breakfast we were disappointed.

Biscuits were a little hard but the server noticed and brought us a new one. Need more coffee pourers (lol). Most of breakfast was amazing what I ordered was perfectly sized!

We dined here for breakfast and left disappointed. The food was marginal at best. They were not able to cook eggs as requested (e.g. poached eggs were hard boiled), avocado toast was flavorless, and overall lacked the basics of a breakfast oriented diner (no hot sauce or minimal condiments on tables). Service was good, but we will not come back.

Wow!! My husband & I love going to diners. We’ve been to several from Chicago, NY to Nashville… but this one has been our favorite!! The atmosphere looks like a typical 50’s diner with a juke box & red vinyl chairs, the food was quick & some of the best breakfast we’ve ever had! So glad this is local for us!

Stopped in after a morning at the beach. Great clean and bright diner. You can get breakfast, brunch, or lunch all day and they also have beer, wine, and liquor. Staff is super friendly. The service is fast and the food is really good. Highly recommended!!!

This place stays packed but we got there early in the morning and didn't have to wait. Parking is tight especially if you have a large truck like us. Back in if you can, it'll make it easier to get out afterward. On to the food. I had the chicken fried chicken covered in breakfast gravy with hashbrown casserole, a biscuit, and scrambled eggs. The chicken was all white meat, delicious. Eggs were perfect and biscuit was fluffy and good. I didn't really like the hashbrown casserole. My husband had homefries and they were awesome! I wish I had gotten them. The manager or owner came around and talked with everyone, multiple people, including a guy bussing tables asked us if we were ok and if we liked the food, so the staff is super attentive.

Great basic breakfast, the omelets were really good. The only thing to note is the service wasn’t great, none of them are super happy which is something rare in st Augustine lol

Every time we visit Saint Augustine, we stop at this diner. The food is awesome, the servers are great and I can’t believe the prices for their quality of food. Seriously would drive three hours just to eat here.

Fantastic service and food! Dined out on their nice patio. You can also sit indoors if you prefer. Just went here at 11am it was rather busy but they didn’t lack anything because of it. Wife and daughter got breakfast and my son and I got lunch. It was excellent food! Our waitress Shannon was attentive and had excellent customer service skills! Definitely a 10/10 and highly recommend!
