Donuts were good but waited over 20 minutes for breakfast sandwiches

Donuts were pretty good, but the breakfast was terrible. Tasted like store bought guacamole for the avacado toast, over med eggs were slimey and undercooked, and just tasted so bland. We did enjoy the Donuts though.

These are some of the best donuts I have ever had! We live in Tampa but visit St. Augustine often. My favorites are the orange creamsicle and the chocolate frosted with buttercream filling. My husband loves the maple. Their iced coffee is great, too!

This place is AMAZING! Very nice and clean inside. So many donuts to choose from. They all looked delicious but I chose the apple fritter with coconut toppings. Wife chose Boston creme and kids chose chocolate strawberry glazed. I also had a coffee, bacon egg and cheese on a croissant which was so freaking delicious! My wife had an egg and cheese on a bagel. Everything was very soft and fresh!

These donuts were so good and their cinnamon rolls are huge.

I totally messed up and didn’t take pics but straight up this is the best doughnut shop in all of Saint Augustine

YES YES a million times YES! This little shop is so freaking cute and right on the beach! We stopped in and grabbed a half dozen and enjoyed them with the sunrise. These little babies were the BEST donuts I’ve ever had in my 33 years on this earth 🤤. They were fresh, fluffy, perfectly sweet and had a ton of frosting.. I will have dreams about these donuts. We tried white sprinkle, chocolate sprinkle, chocolate iced, maple iced, chocolate strawberry, and raspberry jelly. All raised donuts, and all equally amazing. My absolute favorite was the maple. I may have to make a trip back to St. Augustine just for these delicious treats. Thank you Island Donuts, you did not disappoint and I love your cutie palm tree logo. 12/10 would recommend.. you NEED these donuts!

Line was out the door, I got two Boston cream and a coffee. The Boston cream were 5 star. Will be back tomorrow!

Killer donuts , you have to try these

This trip was disappointing. The cinnamon roll a texture and taste like it was a day old. Selection is getting tired and old. Same raised donuts each time (chocolate, vanilla sprinkles, strawberry, caramel, maple). No cream filled donuts only custard. 😢😢

Visited st Augustine for the 4th of July and was in the mood for some donuts in the morning. After a quick google search I came across Island Donuts and honestly one of the best donuts I have had. Customer service was great and the staff were very friendly. 100% going again next time I stay there again.

We made a quick stop on our way to the beach today. The donuts were honestly my favorite from a local shop. The yeast donut specifically has such good flavor and we’re not too sweet! We also got some iced coffees that were very good and self served. They actually had OatMilk which is my wife’s favorite, I didn’t see stevia but they have raw sugar instead. Definitely coming back earlier in the day next time to have a better selection of donuts.

The glazed donut was phenomenal. Parking was a little iffy, but definitely worth it! If I were to visit St. Augustine I'd definitely would have to come back!

7am - no hot chocolate “until later”, and the coffee was bitter and reminded me of Army coffee (yuk). Chocolate from donuts was runny and GOT EVERYWHERE. I had high hopes for this place too! Cute place? Sure, but not the reason for visiting… Very disappointed… VERY!

Service was really great. Bagels were tasty, but... One of us ordered poppy seed, 1 of us Ordered rosemary... We each got half a bagel of each... We asked for it toasted with butter And cream cheese... We got 2 bagels, half-and-half, NOT toasted, And butter and cream cheese on the side... no utensils...Which made it extremely difficult since we were taking it to go...

We come here every time that we visit Saint Augustine. We love the fritters and the donuts are amazing! Get there early because they will sell out!!!

Went there at noon, one hour before they closed at 1pm. Tried to order breakfast sandwiches but was told they couldn’t because they were understaffed… we were the only customers in there and there was a guy standing around in the kitchen and a girl doing the register. Okay.. toasted bagel with cream cheese? “No we already cleaned the toaster and can’t clean it again” she really said that. So she gave us an untoasted bagel, and they didn’t even put the cream cheese on, they gave it on the side in a container. The donuts were fine. I understand showing up 10 minutes before close when a restaurant has cleaned up the kitchen, but an hour before close and refusing to do anything is kind of egregious imo. I won’t go back.

Nice variety of donuts including my favorite, key lime. Orange Creamsicle is a unique flavor that I haven't seen before. Great service. Will definitely return. If you found this post helpful, please like and follow.

What a cute Donut place! It was crazy busy but they are super efficient. Huge selection to choose from. I got a donut and a sandwich. Both were excellent. Ma Dukes got an Island fritter which was also delicious.

This location is super cute. This place had so many fun flavors and the donuts / absolutely amazing! The staff was super friendly. The coffee nice and hot / not bitter and breakfast sandwich’s were also amazing! If your in the St Augustine area a must.

Doughnuts taste like shortening or grease very heavy. No whole milk to put in your coffee just half and half like a gas station coffee stop. No other bread choice besides sourdough. Coffee has a strong strong strong taste of cinnamon and no light roasts. Every coffee beverage including iced is self service. Bacon egg cheese on bagel was ok, yet again very greasy–Eggs were browned-I can do browned ( brunt eggs) at home- I want perfectly cooked eggs when I go into an establishment and pay- my guess is everything is prepared on the same griddle type cooktop and with plenty of oil or grease. Bagel with butter on the side -to go- was served without being sliced : (. Overall not impressed.

Delicious food especially the rosemary bagels which have a nice soft and chewy texture. Not too big. Right by the beach with nice island vibes. Friendly service tops off the experience.

The donut was very good and the pineapple fritter was EXCELLENT!!! The bagels were very tasty. The only thing that we wish was that they buttered the bagels for you versus providing butter in a cup that was hard/cold. It made it hard to spread on the toasted bagel and be hot and buttery like I was craving. Overall great for donuts for sure!

Place is clean and bright. The people are clean but not bright (happy). None of them smiled and there were quite a few of them. I ordered a half dozen to taste as they have some fun flavors and a bagel toasted with cream cheese. This was my first and will be my last time here. I waited 30 minutes for a toasted bagel that never arrived. Finally another employee asked what I was waiting for and I informed her. She went to the back came out and gave other people their orders. People who had ordered after me. Stopped spoke with another couple before finally coming back to explain the issue. Just refund the money at this point you haven't event started toasting the bagel in 30 minutes. She spent forever looking for the order. I gave up and left. Keep the 3 dollars my time is worth more. When I finally got home the donuts were a severe disappointment. There's a weird taste to them that lingers on the tongue. Tried all and they all have it so something in the dough.

Fantastic donuts. Was here visiting 2 years ago and tried them and loved them, came back and tried them again, just as wonderful. Highly recommend.

Found Island Donuts in Feb 2023 and just had to make our way back again this year while we are in Florida for our annual Daytona 500 trip from Oregon. The pineapple fritters are the best I’ve found outside of Hawai’i and are an absolute must try….. but get here early, they open at 6am and close when sold out, and that can be before 10am as it is a popular spot! We see why, and will make our way here several times during our 10 day trips.

Great breakfast sandwich and donut. Breakfast sandwich was delicious, egg, bacon and provolone cheese on an asiago bagel. I also ordered an old fashioned donut which far exceeded my expectations. It was not greasy, not too sweet or dry, truly perfect. I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast, great place!

I know this is a donut shop but I'm a savory gal so I got their breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it was so good that I went back the next day and got the same thing. I can't stop thinking about it! Service is very efficient, even though none of the workers had any sort of smile on their face the whole time I was there. Kiddos loved the plain glazed donuts (they were very heavy...when means a high quality donut in my opinion!)

First, I love Island Donuts’ Old Fashioned Donut, no one else makes em like they do. I live in St Pete FL and visit St Augustine annually. Island Donuts has always been a highlight of my visit to the city, and I usually order a dozen to take back home. I am bummed and let down with my latest special order. Frosting and sprinkles are lacking. (See attached photos- On the left Jan 2023, on left Jan 2024). It’s also frustrating that special orders require pre-payment + tip option, before you see the product. I assumed the quality would be consistent year to year. If I’m paying this much for quality donuts, I want quality donuts dipped in frosting & dipped in sprinkles! Please do not be stingy with frosting and sprinkles.

This was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. We ordered a BEC on a croissant and a BEC on an everything bagel. We also ordered a blueberry donut and a chocolate iced donut. I am still thinking about the breakfast sandwich 3 days later

While researching places to try in St. Augustine, we heard about this place. People mentioned getting the pineapple fritters and trying the donuts, so we did. The donuts were good. They had good flavors, and they weren't dry. The fritter was ok. There was much of the flavor or pieces of the pineapple in mine. If I'm in the area again, I might try them again.

This is my second time here and it did not disappoint! The employees were very friendly. One gentleman and I were nerding out by talking about Star Wars. My kids loved the donuts. I was sad that they didn’t have the maple bacon donut. Apparently it’s on my available on the weekends. But that Key Lime Pie donut was banging.

The donuts themselves were good. But the girl working behind the counter was super rude, scoffing and eye rolling when customers walk in. She seemed as if she dislikes customers and her job. Would of gave 5 stars, but she messed that up. If your wondering what employee it was look at your camera, this took place 9/25/2023 at 9:30am. Note; be pleasant to your customers, as they are the reason you keep your doors open. ❤️

My friends and I stayed in St. Augustine this past weekend for my bachelorette and one of them picked up a dozen donuts. These were the BEST donuts I’ve ever had and I love donuts! The original glazed, apple fritter, and raspberry filled in particular were fantastic. Highly recommend and I will visit every time I’m on vacation!!!

Went there this morning 8/30/23 for the first time and was not impressed. The donut was one step away from being frozen, liked it just defrosted.

Donuts were good! We got a variety of flavors. Definitely better if you go in the morning.

My husband and I really enjoyed this experience. I got the seasonal iced coffee which was the best I’ve ever had so smooth and creamy, a strawberry glazed doughnut, and an egg and cheese on a croissant. Perfect way to start the day. Plus we just parked behind and went to the beach after. Even with how busy it was the staff was so pleasant and quickly worked together as a team. Definitely go here for breakfast 💓
