What a great view to enjoy while you have a great meal. They have a good selection of seafood and the “happy hour specials” you can’t missed. Lobster bisque was a show.

Great food!! No oysters on labor Day weekend= 2 stars.

Overall this was a nice place, I got the Grouper grilled, it was actually griddled, but wasn’t bad, the drinks and service was great, definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, this missed the mark for us. The food was okay at best. Some of it was inedible based on looks alone. The mixed veggies I wouldn't have ever tried due to the odd color they were and the grits were the weirdest flavor I have ever tried. The only good part really was the server, she was super sweet and on the ball. Maybe they were just having an off night. The location on the pier is wonderful!

Food was very good and service was great and quick. However, this place claims to have floridas best key lime pie and it was not great at all. Too small and tasted like it sat in the fridge for a few days. Would go back, just not going to order the key lime desert.

The food is good. The outside is atrocious due to the pigeons that they let walk around under your feet, literally. We go to another restaurant (Bridge Tender Inn, literally 2 minute walk from here) and have never har a problem with pigeons flying around. Its honestly gross and reminds me of a ghetto restaurant. Go elsewhere if you dont want pigeons flying around while you eat.

Jessica from Wait staff was amazing. So sweet and nice. The view was beautiful outside. A little hot but pretty. Peel shrimp were good so were the oysters!

Great place and great atmosphere but service was not the best. Jessica was our waitress and her service was very disrespectful. First, she was making fun of our pronunciation of a specific beer which it’s was very disrespectful for us as guest. Second, she came back to our table and start hitting the menus on the table and pointing her fingers over my mother in law. It was a dehumanize experience that as family have never experienced on any restaurant around the world. Her professional is terrible and for that I give this place a bad review on service. I hope management takes action of its employees so this situations can be prevented and gain value in their business.

This is another "must visit" in AMI. Great food, staff, and location. Parking can be tough, but it's worth it. Take the trolley.

I got the tuna poke bowl and the serving size was kind of small but it was really good! Giving this a five star because service was great and the food was good quality. Other people in my group got the fish and chips and buffalo chicken salad and they were raving about how good they were. I also got the key lime margarita and it was to die for! I would definitely come here again!

Our favorite restaurant on vacation! Loved the mango margarita, chicken tacos & cilantro rice, and my husband enjoyed all the seafood. Aimee was the most wonderful waitress and the outdoor seating was perfect with the most beautiful views.

The food was good. Drinks were good as well. They even made me an iced drink even though the menu said it was frozen. Service could have been better. They were busy so, I don't want to say it was bad because it wasn't. But it was a good 20 minutes or more between ordering the drinks and ordering the food. With that being said, once the food was ordered. It came out fairly quickly. All in all, I would definitely come back.

Got 2 dozen oysters with one of my best friends to have a birthday lunch. Libby was sweet, pretty, and gave a key lime tart for my birthday! Highly recommended! She’s great.

Hostess wasn’t friendly, food was very bad . Not even the raw oyster were good , no cocktail sauce or minionette , they were at least fresh. Grilled grouper Zero!!! For us this place is a tourist tramp !!

We ate here on our last night on the island, and it was a great idea! We had to wait 30 or 40 mins but got a couple of drinks and walked down to the end of the pier. My daughter got fried shrimp, I got the shrimp and grits, and my husband ordered shrimp and scallops. All the food was delicious. Service was great, and everyone was fantastic.

Very good place, we had lots of oysters and shrimp. We also had some great Fresh Mahi Mahi. Amy was our server and she was terrific. Good drinks and service was great. The view was also a big plus.

Great location to get some authentic ocean cuisine. Our server Mattison was super fast and very entertaining. Their dinner specials are great. We were able to give our name and phone number to reserve a table and got a text when it was ready; really nice to be able to go out on the pier and watch the sunset by the water.

Cindy is amazing! The minute we walked in we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. All the appetizers were ordered and delivered to table so quickly. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We all had an amazing time and loved everything! The menu was varied and wonderful! Even my son had a great time! 10 of 10 would recommend.

The food, drinks, and service were all far beyond expectations. Prices during happy hour were very cheap for the area and the location was very nice as well. We were lucky enough to have Will as our server and he was far above par. Great place to visit.

Great experience! Our server Mattison was great! While we had to wait about an hour for our group of 7 to be seated, once we were seated, everything was quick to come and everything was delicious! Raw oysters were fresh, shrimp and grits were really good. My husband got the swordfish with the Roma topping. He said it was really good. My daughter got the fish tacos and really liked them! Definitely a place to go for a memorable dining experience while on vacation!

My family and I came here on vacation a few days ago, and had the pleasure of Devyn as our server. Not only was the food great, but she was super friendly and sweet and we just had an all around great experience!

I'd recommend getting classic Oysters with lemon or mignonette if they have them. We got Roasted oysters and tequila lime flavored raw Oysters with chimichurri(lacking in a few areas).

I felt compared to other restaurants on the island the oyster bar was very competitive and fair the service was absolutely wonderful Lisa was our waitress she did a great job always had a smile on her face. My father-in-law got the cobia sandwich my wife got the Cobia tacos and I got the Cobia dinner all very reasonable and taste great I would highly recommend. The RUM runners with the dark room floater were awesome I think they were about nine bucks. Bartender Sharky was awesome Honestly I have not been to a restaurant that had Cobia on their menu there has been that have had it as a special for the day but now on the menu. Jeff K

Went here two days in a row for oysters. They were very fresh. Seafood Cobb salad was delicious also. Only complaint was that there weren't many shrimp in the Kaboom Shrimp appetizer. They were very good though!

I have only great things to say about this restaurant. First of all I had the best raw oysters I've ever had. They were topped with pickled red onions and chimichurri. We had a hilarious server, the atmosphere was great. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. will definitely be back.

We waited an hour for them to sit us with DEVYN. She was rude from the beginning. when we asked about the draft beers, rolled her eyes & went to find the drink menu madly for no reason?. Her trainee came to ask if we were fine after we ordered, we said yes while we were waiting on the soup and salad that never came. She walked around like she was bothered the entire time. Then we asked for the check to another server bc she never came back and told her she didn’t bring out two things. She said why didn’t we tell her sooner and came back and slammed the receipt on the table after we said we just didn’t want them anymore. Ugly attitude, ugly personality’s they have here.

We had a group of 8. Food was delicious, affordable, and came out super fast! Lisa was a great server and made our experience even more enjoyable. Food was so good, we forgot to take pictures before we ate it!

First time to visit the island and so far have had dinner 2x here, the food is excellent. First time we had dinner we had the chicken sandwich and shrimp tacos . The second visit we shared kaboom shrimp, Omgosh you have to try them, we shared these and ordered clam strip dinner to share and side of the kaboom sauce for dipping. A++++. Ms Lisa is so sweet and thoughtful to make sure everything was perfect and even taking time to take pictures of the guest in front of the bay . Don’t worry if there is a waitlist, it’s worth it and you can walk down the pier behind the restaurant and watch the boats coming in and leaving as well as the drawbridge. Make sure to ask for Lisa and your dining experience here will be second to none

We are visiting AMI from Indiana and the food was amazing. Mattie was our server and she was phenomenal. If you haven't had the boil, you need to. My only complaint was it was very very hot inside. I think the AC was not working properly and it was supposedly new.

It was a 45 min wait since we had big parties ahead of us, but that got cut down quickly because we were only a party of 3. We got Tabbi, and she was great! Very friendly and on top of things. The food was above average. The oysters were not salty enough - for a bunch of Marylanders. The coleslaw was bland, and we got undercooked string beans instead of the zucchini we were promised. The Mahi Mahi and Maine Lobster were priced well and delicious though!

Basically you wait on yourself. Find your own seating. Wait in line to order then wait for your food to be brought. Good was good but the place was slightly disappointing.

Not a bad place to stop and eat. Decent seafood offerings and it's right on the pier giving you a good view of the surrounding area. All staff provided excellent and cueteous service. Prices are midrange.

The seafood soup is tremendous. All the food oysters.... escargot..... excellent. Service was second to no one. Worth the drive.

The food and restaurant deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars for quality and atmosphere. And for our waitress, Taylor, she gets a solid 0 STARS for her attitude. My wife overheard her talking to the hostess that we were holding up her table because we had a boat to catch a little later in the evening. Well surprise she heard the nasty words come out of her mouth. After spending over $200.00, it was disappointing to be treated that way and have her come back and be totally fake while cashing us out.

We had a lovely lunch on the pier overlooking the water. Lots of fun watching the boats coming and going. Great ambiance. Food was wonderful. Started with grouper bites, clam chowder and seafood gumbo…delicious. Then we had fish tacos, house salad and fish and chips. Everything was soooo good. All our dishes had something a little different added to give them just the right special something to tweak our taste buds. Lisa was our waitress and was very impressive with her knowledge of the menu, service was great. Had a good day touring Anna Maria Island. We will definitely be back.

Awesome seafood for a night on the pier! Oysters, fish and cheese grits were fantastic!

Food is very expensive but most likely due to the economy. Some plates are bigger than others portion wise. They do not have ahi tuna sliced, it is cut in cubs which I'm not a fan of my only complaint. Our server was great and very sweet. Drink prices were high also at this restaurant. I would eat here again.

My family was visiting Anna Maria for one week and we went to this restaurant twice! Every single dish we got was fresh and delicious, the raw oysters and muscles were my favorite. The menu has so many options it’s perfect for everyone and the atmosphere is peaceful. Can’t wait to come back!

Ordered a build your own hamburger, asked for medium-rare. Was cooked well done. Good taste but not prepared anywhere near what Ii asked for.

An island unto itself, surround by water on the pier and carries that AMI vibe atmosphere. Modest menu with mostly seafood fare. Dining solo or with a group, you should enjoy this venue.

Monday is a great day because it’s all you can eat fish and chips. Top it off with a slice of Keylime pie, which is made fresh daily..

Pier dining in Longboat Key. Need I say more? Cold Air conditioning inside, or walk through the indoor eating and out onto the pier. Excellent service. Delicious firm, chilled, fresh, raw oysters at about two bucks each. Cold draft beer priced within reason. Shorts and a t-shirt or button down casual. Nobody judging. Fast service from a wait staff that exudes happiness to be working there. We eat here each time we're in town. Never disappointed. Parking leaves something to be desired, but drop your party off, hang a u-turn, and wait patiently for the next available spot. Always under a 5 minute wait. Didn't see valet availability.

We called ahead to check to see if little boys with no shirts were allowed and were told yes. When we arrived a waitress then said they weren't. A hostess said it was fine, but the waitress felt the need to reiterate to us that it wasn't allowed. At that point our kids were uncomfortable and begged to go somewhere else, so we left. Waste of our afternoon traveling here.

Anna Maria Oyster Bar had plenty of nice boat parking and is easily accessible from the intercoastal. Our party of four started with raw oysters and conch fritters which were both excellent. The oysters were large and meaty. My wife and I shared the seared scallops that came in a butter sauce. It came with about 10 large scallops and it was amazing. We also had cheese grits and coleslaw which we both enjoyed. My buddy had the fried catfish, coleslaw and a side salad and his wife had the seafood cob salad. Both said it was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience and we will return!

Highly recommend the raw oysters and grilled fish tacos here. The seafood is fresh and sitting right by the water made dinner so relaxing. Parking is tough but there is paid parking around the corner. Overall, a good area to check out while waiting for dinner.

Great place for fresh seafood! We ordered the snow crab legs and fresh caught snapper. No regrets! Our server also was very helpful and friendly. And the view!

We loved the atmosphere here right on the water. The oysters were good and large! We were disappointed by the quality of the grouper sandwich..it all felt very low quality. Service was not good. Not somewhere we'd likely go again.

Our waitress Aimee was fantastic, full of energy and enthusiasm. The fried oysters were delicious, and the coconut shrimp was amazing. We also shared the catfish with hush puppies and coleslaw, which was excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. However, parking is limited, so be prepared to pay $16 an hour a few blocks away.

I was really disappointed because, after seeing all the great reviews, I thought I had to try this place. The Oyster Bar—you have to try oysters there, right? No, the oysters had no taste. I love mussels, and whenever a restaurant offers them on the menu, I order them. I have never returned any dish before, but this time, I had to. The location is great, but that’s about it.

We are staying just down the road this week and we're planning on visiting multiple restaurants during our stay...yet we find ourselves wanting to come back here each day! Great service, amazing views, the food is great! Loved the Oysters!

You get the best of the area without the hype!

Food was very overrated and overpriced….$38 seafood boil was a zero..potatoes hard, 4 shrimp, barely any meat in crab legs; lobster bisque was salty and no lobster in soup… would never return and the oysters on bed of ice was warm

Great location. Food mediocre. Oysters not shucked well (large hard chunks of shell in the edible parts). Food overall was not impressive. The location is cool, but also has a pigeon problem outside, with them flying all over tables and landing on the paper towels, and making messes on tables (a sanitation issue). Not worth the money we paid for our dinner.

Our recent experience at Oyster Bar on the Pier on May 5th, 2024 was nothing short of a complete disaster. What was meant to be a special birthday celebration for my friend turned into a nightmare of incompetence, disrespect, and emotional distress. Despite arriving promptly and joining the waitlist at 6:18 PM, we were subjected to an agonizing wait with no communication or updates from the restaurant besides a text message with our estimated seating time 6:52PM - 7:05PM. Despite being assured of a 34-47 minute wait, we found ourselves still standing outside the entrance well over an hour later. This unacceptable delay was compounded by the fact that we observed empty tables in the outside seating area, yet were inexplicably left unseated. The final straw came when I approached the host for the second time to inquire about our table. The male host's rude and dismissive attitude was shocking and completely unwarranted. His lack of professionalism and contemptuous demeanor left us feeling humiliated and disrespected. Once we were finally seated, the damage had already been done. It was 7:25 PM. The birthday girl, who had been looking forward to this celebration, was so upset and distraught by the entire ordeal and the appalling treatment we received that she left the restaurant in tears, seeking solace in the car. It was a heartbreaking and humiliating end to what should have been a joyous occasion. In light of this appalling experience, we made the unanimous decision to leave the establishment. The complete lack of regard for customer satisfaction and basic human decency displayed by the staff at Oyster Bar on the Pier is utterly unacceptable. To the management and employees of Oyster Bar on the Pier: Your behavior and treatment of customers are reprehensible. It's clear that significant improvements are needed in both your customer service and hospitality practices. Until such changes are made, I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment.

Very Very expensive for those that it is

Dockside mid afternoon snack. Oysters Rock creamed spinach with bacon on large half shell oysters. No scrimping there. Calamari lightly fried in seasoned dredge served with marina, I opted to taste test all three of their bottled hot sauces. All were perfect with the calamari, no rubber bands served here. With a draft beer, seated inside overlooking the fishing fleet at the Bridge Street Pier location. Perfect afternoon snack. Thanks Cynthia!

Wonderful experience this evening. My parents were visiting from out of town and I brought them here because my mom wanted to see the water while having dinner, being a local here several times I suggested this place. Well....it exceeded my expectations. Amanda our server was so kind,friendly, and made us feel welcome. The food is amazing....fried shrimp, clam strips,and sides with it, delicious,fresh,not greasy. And to top it off an amazing happy hour menu of drinks! Try this place! It does not disappoint!

Fun to be on the pier with boats to watch during dinner, good food, only downside is the birds around the tables.
