Quaint little shop with cute little items to browse while waiting for your coffee. Service was wonderful, delightful people and drinks made fresh. There's a few tables along the front of the establishment but more of a grab and go while you check out the other shops.

Everything from the coffee, food and service is so amazing. The people working there are so incredibly nice. The coffee shop has lots of cute things to shop for and take home to your loved ones. Glad it was I first stop in Anna María Island. 🏝️

the best coffee on the island!!! A great variety of local florida craft beers! And they have a wonderful happy hour mon-sat from 5-8!!! The staff is just amazing too!!! I love the variety of items they have in the gift shop as well!! 💜

Fun little coffee, gift, wine and craft beer spot on Bridge street. A hidden gem enjoyed a great cup of Java in the a.m. and came back for a local craft beer in the p.m. While my GF shopped.

This place is a hidden gem. A little coffee/drink bar with bakery items and a cute shop! I got a sugar free iced caramel latte with heavy cream and it was delish! My husband got the same, just not sugar free. They also have a fridge with fun local beverages, which were fun to try. We didn’t get food here, but everyone was super friendly. We will for sure be back!

What an amazing overall experience!! The hospitality shown by Scott and the other friendly gal was both sincere and welcoming! Great selection of pastries, coffees, mixed drinks, craft beers, apparel and jewelry. My wife and I were down from PA for the week and thankfully found this quaint and warm little spot on Bridge Street. Thanks so much for making our stay in Anna Maria Island so special! Kyle & Shay

I have had my fair share of coffee experiences (in and out of FL) and Back Alley is by FAR my favorite! Tucked away on historic Bridge Street, they have a wide variety (10+) of flavors and the staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Aside from their delicious iced lattes, the best thing about this place is there is NO EXTRA CHARGE for milk alternatives. I felt this was a true testament to their integrity to customer service that I have not seen anywhere else. I now live locally in West Bradenton and always choose this as my first choice for drinking coffee out. Not to mention they are also the cutest little store.

This is a must stop while on Bridge street! Fun and funky art and the best drinks served up fresh. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere can’t be beat. Coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night.

I really enjoy their iced chai and their lemonades and smoothies! they also have many other options as well! I also like how many milk options they have and they don’t charge for milk alternatives! There shop is cute and there is a lot of local art and jewelry!

I rented a condo on Bradenton Beach to have a girls weekend. My girlfriend and I walked over to Back Alley and got lattes to drink while walking the beach. Loved the atmosphere & the latte was even better! So great to have an awesome coffee to grab, walking distance to everything!

This locally owned coffee shop is the best way to start your day, get a mid day pickup, or an evening drink. Their coffee is local, so many gifts by other local artists...great place to support the community. The coffee selection is amazing, and tastes delish! A fun and friendly place to try! Addicted to the iced mocha and homemade cookies!!

Everything at Back Alley is amazing. The coffee is phenomenal! And the homemade oatmeal cookies are the best ever! Everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful! I make sure to stop in every time I'm on Bridge Street! Their gift shop is also super cute with lots of great local items & fun treasures! I Highly recommend Back Alley!

Just got an iced coffee, their other options may be better. I was expecting a tasty espresso but was pretty disappointed. I will say the atmosphere and the staff were wonderful.

The place was nice and cute. Staff was pleasant. But the coffee was just one of the worst coffees I’ve tried, burnt (like overly roasted) and such a bad aftertaste. My husband and I both got different iced coffee drinks and both were just terrible, because the coffee beans they’re using are clearly not great, to say the least. I had to throw mine away. If you appreciate good specialty espresso drinks, stay away from this place.

This cute little coffee shop and store is so good. I’ve been the last two morning and got a mocha latte. The coffee is so fresh tasting and my kiddos loved playing on the old school pac man machine. I love that they have gluten free options too. Coffee crumb cake, carrot cake and key lime pie gluten free desserts. A must go every time we are here now. 😃

Iced lattes are just ok. Better coffee on the island. Also pretty sure they are selling Costco bagels and muffins. Paid $3 for a bagel (and tiny slice of butter which was extra) and it tasted like I just had a Costco bagel. Plus the muffins are the exact same trio as what they sell at Costco. Will not visit again. Edit: in light of the owners response, I feel the need to also comment on the hospitality of the place. The owner has quite a bad attitude, not welcoming, and can come off condescending. Maybe instead of laughing at a customers comment you take it seriously. This coffee shop would never last where I live. The only reason it has business is due to convenient location on bridge street. Additionally, we had gotten the bagels ($2.75 + 50 cents for butter = over $3 for a bagel and butter..) to go so I did not realize how small it was until we got back to our rental. only covered one half of the bagel, I can assure you it was comical how small it was, I don’t even use a lot of butter normally just a thin layer. I would advise any coffee lover to not go here. The Anna Maria coffee shack is everything this place isn’t. Friendliest owners and workers, amazing coffee, the flavor you can add in isn’t just generic syrup (like this place). They have delicious hot food they make in house. Just a few minutes up the road. Highly recommend.

The best part of Anna Maria island! The owner is sweet, shop is cute, smoothies are amazing! Get a peach wine Bellini, THE BEST! Boozy coffee! omg! Had to go here daily! Total package! Our whole family loved it!

During our visit, my family and I stumbled upon Back Alley. Not only were the drinks delicious, but the customer service was outstanding! The gentleman helping us accidentally made extra frozen hot chocolate, and instead of discarding it, he kindly served it to our group in extra cups. A solid 10/10 experience!

Great place to grab an ice coffee after a long day in the sun. I got the ice coffee mocha and ice coffee americano with a splash of coconut on consecutive days.

There are not many matcha option on AMI, but BackAlley has one of the BEST matchas I’ve ever had!! If they have the key lime flavor Available when you’re there, definitely try that!

This delightful coffee shop/store is a must stop in if you are in the area!!!! The espresso is delicious they use the best mocha sauce and make a magical black and white mocha. The muffins were warm and fresh. This family owned gem is also a great place to buy yourself something unique made by local artist! We loved chatting with Scott and the owners were welcoming, even remembered our preferences after only 2 days!!!!

Excellent cappuccino, espresso, chai latte half sweet. However I asked for no foam and I think they forgot. It will not detour me from going back. As the coffee was amazing. They treat you like family. Even bought one of there all natural made hand cream. Smells fantastic. Will definitely recommend them.

I visited the back alley treasures coffee shop this afternoon with my friends. I absolutely loved the cozy, relaxing and peaceful coffee shop vibes. This is my favorite coffee shop on Anna Maria island. I love it and they have homemade desserts and delicious drinks.

We visit here every year when we're in the area after a long walk on the beach. I normally have the iced latte which is very nice. Personally I find the coffee quite strong but after the ice starts to melt it tastes great. My wife always enjoys the frozen lemonade! Service is always very friendly and they have a really clean restroom, and the store is fun to look around.

My husband and I are visiting from Upstate NY and this little gem was a great find! We have been there twice so far and will be going again before we go home!! I had the mocha frappe and it’s highly recommended!! My husband had the americano. Absolutely the best coffee we have ever had!!!

Neat space. The peach smoothie is pretty special. The AC is very nice on a hot day. Find a treasure to take home while you cool off.

Quaint little coffee and retail shop with a ton of character. Been coming back here for years and has always stayed consistent. Full coffee offerings as well as adult beverage options. Fun shop to look around while you wait full of the flair of Anna Maria. 5/5 will be back next time visiting the island!

The coffee is amazing and the shop is packed with unique little treasures all feeling very handmade. The candles we purchased there are absolutely amazing smelling.

This store does not function like a business. Opening time for the shop is displayed as 8 AM. We were there at 8:05 am. and started ordering. Suddenly, the owner appeared and stated, "we are not open yet." Really? Your start time is 8 & your doors are open, but you're closed? Thanks, but no thanks. We are not going back. Plenty of other places you can buy coffee.

Really enjoyed the entire experience. We stopped in a couple times while vacationing. My favorite drink was the lavender white chocolate cold brew. It was slightly sweet and very refreshing. ☕️😎 The staff were friendly and welcoming and they had a nice selection of gifts and keepsakes.

The two women were friendly when I came in. It’s a great little place. However I had asked for a strong Latte, saying how I love strong espresso. When I tried my Latte I said in a neutral tone, “This isn’t very strong.” The manager responded, “It is for normal people.” Wow. That seemed uncalled for and some unusual customer service.

It’s a cute shop with various gift options. I bought a few to bring back home. I love that they have good fresh beer on draft and nice people working there. We went back another day for coffee and we both had to throw them away (and bought coffee again elsewhere) because they both tasted like chocolate milkshakes instead of mocha and peppermint mocha, so I’d suggest that they cut down on the sweetness by a long shot because we couldn’t even taste the espresso. Overall we had a great experience for both visits, which is why I’m rating it 5 stars.

This place is SO good!! I got a black coffee with white chocolate liquor and it was 100/10! For reference, I typically like coffee with cream and sugar and this was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

It’s a coffee shop, it’s a bar, it’s a store! Local beans, brews, and crafts! Beyond the merchandise, the people are unmatched! The people are truly the reason to keep coming back! Heather, Travis, and Tammy become instant family when you walk through the door! They are ALWAYS smiling and kind, and they will go with the flow with drink orders! It is so easy to lose track of time when you are here because the smiles and laughter don’t stop! Do yourself a favor and stop in, have a drink/coffee, try the amazing oatmeal cookies, and experience the light and joy that this place gives!

Good prices on drinks and they are yummy! Stopped here in the morning for some coffee to have with our donuts. They have “adult” drinks and non 21 or older drinks available! A good variety of flavors to choose from as well.

I am OBSESSED with this place. It is such a cute beach cafe. I discovered it accidentally on my last trip to Cortez Beach and I can't wait to go back. I got an iced coffee and it woke me up after a long beach day. My husband got an iced coffee with a shot of Bailey's. They also have a lot of local art for sale - I got some postcards!
