There are two bakery places in Gainesville that are just super amazing. One is Uppercrust, and the other one is here, BakerBaker. I've been here a couple of times before, but either the shop was closed (because all items were sold out) or only a few were left that I didn't want. Finally, today, during Summer semester (with less college students) on a weekday-Thursday at 7 am, we were able to purchase some items we want. We had about 4 teams ahead when we arrived. All items were 3 dollars each. They all looked great. You can get some items warm, as they are displayed in a separate warming machine. We bought pretzels (salted, cheese), and croissants (butter, chocolate, pecan). They all tasted soooooo good. Very soft and melting. Plus, all staffs are super friendly and they seemed so happy. Such vibe also makes our morning with positive and happy mind, and enhances the tastes of the breads. From now on, I am going to be a big big supporter and spread out the words. This place is just amazing. I left many many Google reviews, but this one is one of my highlights. Please, if you live in Gainesville but haven't tried it here yet, or if you are visiting this area, stop by and try it here. You will never regret. I highly strongly recommend this place. Come early in the morning, if not, they are probably all gone.

Best bakery in town, incredible flavor and quality for the price

I have traveled all over the world, I’m from England so I know what a good bakery should be like. Baker Baker is the best bakery I’ve found! Prices are great too. Everything is made that day from scratch. Staff are wonderful and it’s very clean. The only bad thing is that because they are so good to sell out by 9am!!!!!!

The vanilla glazed cinnamon rolls are the best in town, everything honestly is delicious

Gotta get there early in the day before they sell out of all there excellent goods. Everything we tried was fantastic- no bad choices here

Arrived at Baker Baker a little before 9am this past Saturday and they were already closed due to selling out. Not sure the volume that was baked, but if your posted hours are 7am-11am, I'm a little bothered that you'd sell out after being open for less than 2 hours. How about giving customers the option of placing and paying for orders online in advance.

Best bakery in town and even one of the best that I have visited. The only catch is you have to be there between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM EST ..Otherwise you will have to be disappointed. They make limited quantities and everything is fresh .Cannot go wrong with this place. The other trick is to order ahead of time or they have some pasties with the Opus Coffee . Best are the Strawberry Danish ,Cheese Danish ,Croissant, Chocolate cake/Brownie or the fruit cake . Must have incase you are in Gainesville.

I am OBSESSED with this place. I try to go every morning before work If you go, you gotta try the blueberry scone, the cheddar scone and the bacon pretzel😍 they also do like different desserts sometimes and I think my favorite of those has to be the London fog cake This is a Gainesville must try

We were advised to head here by our Airbnb host and it was one of the best recommendations we’ve ever received. I would go out of my way to return on my next road trip. Lacking on pictures because we were overly excited to dig in

This bakery is very quaint and charming. The staff is very kind and so helpful. The pastry I bought was a croissant, which was delicious. I also bought a box of the best-looking decorated cookies and Peppermint bark! Finally, I bought 6 cinnamon buns that were the best I ever tasted. This bakery is located on sw 4th in a lot, which is named sw 4th food court. There's an opus coffee, a pizza and waffle eatery, and a few other food vendors. The pastries sell out fast, so once out of that pastry, it's done for the day. They open at 7 a.m. give yourself a great treat, grab a delicious pastry and a coffee AND support our local business! You won't be disappointed.

Service was fantastic as well the pastries! We stopped as we passed through for a vacation amd definitely would stop again!

Some of the best buttercream and cream cheese frosting I’ve ever had. So fluffy and airy, it’s what keeps me coming back. And their seasonal pumpkin bread is to die for. Can’t go wrong with what you get here, but they often sell out early, around 10, so get there while you can! Also one thing to note, is even if you get there right when they open, don’t expect any hot out of the oven pastries, at least not in my experience. Had to put some pastries in the oven to make them steamy again, but they’re still great at room temp

Amazing selection of pastries & baked goods. The staff was super friendly & willing to answer all of our questions about how things are made and what they recommend etc. You can also tell that they make an effort to build real relationships with their customers as they knew everyone by name who walked in and really makes you miss that type of mom & pop shop. Being here just brought joy to my day ☀️

This quaint bakery has the most delicious pastries, cakes and breads. My absolute favorites are the strawberry matcha scone, blueberry lemon scone and the spinach and feta croissant 😋 The owners are very pleasant and helpful. They are known to sell out quickly so plan accordingly!!

Get there very early in the morning because it’s all so delicious they sell out quickly! If you can’t make it early you can call in and place your order and pick up later. Baked goods here are top notch and cost reflects the high quality.

On my daughter’s recommendation I purchased a couple pastries and they were perfection! The guava and cheese pastelito was such a delicious combination of flaky pastry, cheese, and guava that I almost didn’t want to eat the last bite because then the enjoyment would end. :)

Got there at 7am, waited about 15 minutes in line, ended up paying quite a bit for 3 pastries that all ended up being burnt. Would not go back. I try not to leave bad reviews often but selling a bad batch at the main storefront and then saying “it wasn’t us” in your reply is poor form.

Every pastry here has been delicious, with the absolute best texture. Service is super friendly and the prices are beyond reasonable! Like most other people of said you must get here early if you want to have a sampling of multiple pastries, the majority of stock is gone after 3 hours of opening. I can not wait to go back ✨

Great people, great pastry and sweets

I originally discovered BakerBaker by buying their baked goods at Opus in Shands. I now love going to the storefront. Everything is delicious but my two all time favorites are the maple danish and the Manhattan!

A hidden gem. Amanda is so accessible and down to Earth without trying, she makes you feel valuable as a customer. Her kids also help out at times and everyone there is wonderful. Support local. The pastries are as good as any at Uppercrust and a fraction of the price, in fact, everything is $3, which makes her store equitable to all income levels.

Great little shop, tasty pastries! Definitely worth going back to, good variety too! Friendly staff, I believe are the owners very cool.

Got to love locally and independently owned businesses. BakerBaker sets the bar for pastries. You know not of croissants until you have had a BakerBaker croissant. This is true even if you lived in France... A testimony to the quality of their pastries is in the speed at which their goods fly off their shelves daily. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! This is a wonderful bakery with a variety of goods. However, sometimes I received burnt crossaints and pastries when I order from the box. The pecan bars and cake slices are pretty consistent! Additionally, I received a gift card from there and the card was empty. The cashier took the card to investigate and then well... forgot about getting back in contact with me. I had to go back and ask about the card being refilled and was met with general indifference. Maybe I got them on bad days.

It's the hidden gems like this that make Gainesville so special! Amanda's Bakery is an amazing small business! The pastries are absolutely delicious and there is a nice selection of sweet and savory options. I highly recommend the morning buns- a cinnamon sugar pastry with a soft inside and crunchy outside. Everything is made fresh for that day and the ingredients are locally sourced. If you're looking for homemade baked goods, this is the place to go! But be sure to get there early before they sell out! Amanda and her team are super friendly and never fail to provide spectacular service. They're all really cool people to talk to. There's also plenty of outdoor seating options in the cute little park, and the Opus coffee truck is right there as well. Hands down, the best bakery in town and maybe the best in Florida! All the pastries I've tried from BakerBaker are indescribably delicious! Very reasonably priced and a great place for a quick breakfast that will brighten your morning.
