The atmosphere was great, our server, Jack, was wonderful, the food was really good and the service was super. Alfred and Kurt, the owners, have done a great job with this truly unique establishment. The wine selection is quite impressive.

Tried out Bar Molino for the first time this evening after living in San Marco for 2 years. Our new favorite place for drinks and tapas. Jack, our server, was amazing. Very on-point with all recommendations and guidance on what to order. The Stuffed Peppers were one of the best dishes I’ve ever tried in my entire life. Wine was delicious. Will be back for happy hour! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

From the moment I entered the establishment the atmosphere was so inviting. Once seated by our superb waiter we were lost is what to order so we decided to experiment and have a memorable experience. We did just that. We ordered cocktails that we never heard of and those were also very great. Overall this place gets A+ across the board. Food was amazing also.

So I went to Bar Molino for the first time last weekend. The food was fantastic. Worth every penny! REAL jamon, delicious seasonal salad, creamy croquettas, tender and flavorful pulpo…and the wine recommendation was spot on. Feeling all this goodness I ordered cheese and charcuterie to go for an event the next day. Upon arriving home I was disappointed with the quantity bc what I paid. Took a photo and reached out to them on Monday. Sent in the photos. The response was customer service the likes of which I would expect from a Michelin star!! So amazing and positive. A full refund and an ask to meet me next time I’m in to ensure a good guest experience. Completely blown away!! Talk about earning my undying loyalty!! My 4 star on atmosphere only comes from the fact that they could use a few more soft furnishings to help with sound depending. But as an industrial Spanish modern space it completely worked!

Nice vibe and a great place for a casual get together. I gave 4 stars only because I was with two other ladies and it was happy hour so the drinks were discounted. Even so, we ended up with a bill of over $100 before tip. That's a little steep for a few bites of each type of tapa that we ordered. Maybe going as a twosome is better here lol

My first time here and I really enjoyed myself. The ambiance in excellent, open kitchen and very clean. Wonderful staff. They're drink menu is excellent with a variety of unique crafted cocktails and one of the best wine selections I have seen. Food was very good, I have the mushroom croquettes and all I could say was "WOW".

A colleague and I had an excellent after-work dining experience at Bar Molino! We were served a variety of excellent Spanish tapas, including cured meats, fresh vegetables and preserved olives and calamari. The ambiance was relaxing, the service was efficient and prices are reasonable.

Helpful staff. Very courteous. Server made some great recommendations. Olives were tasty, potato dish was great (and a good value at $5 during happy hour - I would pass at it for the $13 regular price.). Shrimp in garlic was meh, seemed like they threw frozen shrimp into the sauce to cook, so seemed a bit watered down. Good value on happy hour drinks. Limited parking.

I really dont even want to write this review! 3 parking spaces in the back of a building. Came for the Happy Hour and not happy at all. Only one Tapa offered and they charged me full price until I called it to their attention. I have been to Spain many times and was really hoping they offered authentic Spanish cuisine. Tried about 5 tapas and not one tasted authentic. I would have settled for fusion but tell you not even close. No Jamon Iberico! The place was spotless but I think it because nobody goes there. Good service but no Spanish atmosphere unless you look at the wall of wines. Playing american alternative music? Manager was there didnt greet us. Bar was measuring the pours of the Sherry by the mililiter. The only reason I can think this place is still open is because of the ignorance of the Jacksonville public as to what true food tastes and looks like in Spain. The only way to rescue this bar is to fire the Chef "Jalapeno slices in a Gambas al Ajillo!!!!" and send the owner to Madrid for a 2 weeks restaurant tour.

Definitely a must try if you haven't. The service was friendly and efficient. Every dish we tried ( all of them) was delicious and unique. The wine and cocktails were served with perfection and very tasty.

The tapas are delicious. They just recently changed their happy hour specials, but there are still a few good deals. Happy hour runs from 3-6pm with decent house wines and a plate or two at a discounted price. The service was great, and the food was amazing.

Amazing Tapas food here really enjoyed it! Upset that they didn't have the mushrooms croquettes 😒 they was sold out! But honestly everything else on the menu was absolutely delicious the service here was amazing and fast! Definitely coming back!

Hands down the BEST meal we’ve had in JAX and top 5 ever. The flavors made your taste buds sing. The chef is SO talented. Not only is the food incredible but the service is impeccable. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were at a family dinner. Kurt helped us choose amazing wine to drink with our meal and take home and my husband also enjoyed his cocktail that I’ve never seen on any menu besides in Spain. We cannot quit talking about our amazing meal and cannot wait to go back. They have quick valet parking right at their doorstep so don’t let limited San Marco parking scare you. Thank you to the entire Bar Molino crew!

Tapas!! A cute neighborhood spot with a cozy feel. They have a great selection of cocktails, wines, and small bites. They have several meat and cheese boards, I didn't get one while I was there, but the table next to us did and I would absolutely recommend getting one. This spot feels like a hidden gem. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed. A great spot to bring a date!

Extremely overrated but the server was good and so was the wine.

This place is a hidden gem in San Marco that I wasn't aware of until recently. We sampled five of their small plates and all were delicious! Add to that some well crafted cocktails and fantastic service - definitely now on our rotation of neighborhood restaurants!

James, Kurt & Brian made for an outstanding night for me & my friend…to the point, we actually decided to cancel our plans to hear the band we wanted to see next door, WOW! Being in the service industry on & off for 15-18 years, this was the BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!! Haven’t even gotten to how amazingly delicious the food is, mind blowing! But a little secret & outstanding flavor hidden gem, they make their own corn nuts as a bar snack, ADDICTIVE! If you believe the myth about Sherry only being a cooking wine, you are mistaken & this crew will demystify that & you need to come learn & taste, again…mind blowing informational geniuses! This is a must staple of JAX, everyone needs to come here, such an amazing experience!

Bar Molino is hands down our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville! The menu is always fresh, unique, and approachable for any diet. I can't say enough about how great the chef is! Amazing wine list, elegant and modern atmosphere, and fantastic service set this place apart from any other dining experience in the area.

They have a new menu (2024) with less options than before (2023). Honestly, I miss the piquillo peppers and the croquetas. I wish them back and additional tapas. Besides that, the food quality and taste with what I had was excellent in flavor. The Bomba Rice, Pulpo a la Gallega (a bit salty) Gambas al Ajillo were awesome! I would recommend to add more bread to enjoy your tapas more. Wine options are great, as always. The Lobster Fideua was something I never tried before and it was pretty good.

I absolutely loved this place! Since studying in Spain I have yearned for some tapas and Bar Molino was able to provide authentic Spanish tapas. It’s best to come with a group and buy a tapa and a drink and just keep ordering as you go. Parking is done by a valet driver, so be ready to give a cash tip.

We visited for the last brunch and sampled several tapas. The quality of food was 5/5. Loved the wine & cocktails, phenomenal wine list. The chicken sandwich was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again and looking forward to the new updates for 2024.

We’ve dined in upscale restaurants around the World including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Madrid and Barcelona and this would favorably compare to any of those. Great food, wine and service. We will definitely be back. Thanks Brian and Team!

I loved this place. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The Chorizo was out of this world amazing. Meats available to go on the wine side of the restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

This place is truly a hidden gem. We were staying in Jacksonville for a ravens game (ravens won..) and came here for brunch. Best place we ate at the whole trip. Wait staff was great! They were super knowledgeable of their menu and very personable. The atmosphere was very cool. Upscale cafe vibes but chill at the same time. Impeccable music choices with Bloc Party playing several times throughout our visit. They did not have iberico which was a little disappointing but everything else we had (and I ate a lot) was incredible. From quality to presentation, I could not ask for better food. I really wish this place wasn’t 5 hours away or I’d be here so much they’d be sick of me. Oh, and they have a big selection of wines for purchase in house.

I think this is instantly my favorite spot in Jacksonville, I just wish we'd come here sooner. Without any doubt the best happy hour deals around... The food was absolutely incredible, highest quality fresh ingredients and made by someone who clearly had passion for what they were doing. And oh my god that drink with the cream sherry and egg nog. Awesome outdoor patio too... Cannot wait to be back.

We visited this location last night for dinner with our daughter. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile and kindness. We were seated, and our server James was amazing. He was friendly and took the time to go over the each menu with us. They have the option of buying a bottle of a wine to drink at your table, and their knowledgable staff was able to recommend a great bottle of red wine based on what I shared that "I usually like". (I wish I would remember this staff's name- but her recommendation was right on the spot) Service was great!!! They were on top on making sure our water was always filled and also our wine glasses. Food came in quick, hot, nice presentation and absolutely delicious. We ordered: the octopus, the gambas, the pan with tomate, the croquetas, a toast with salmon on top with a honey spread so delicious that I wished I could buy to take home. We also ordered their snapper daily special, on a bed of chickpeas which was my daughter's and personal favorite. After a very hard work week, this is what my soul needed. I am so glad my husband invited us to try this place. We are definitely returning to get a taste of the other menu items, and another delicious bottle of wine.

The food and wine is always great here. A cute tucked away restaurant in San Marco that’s been open for about a year. I’ve always had fantastic service, the food is cooked to perfection, the Spanish oil they use is to die for, and the wine is unmatched. Highly recommend.

Great dining experience! The restaurant wonderfully put together. The wine they chose for us was excellent and of course the food speaks for itself! However, i will say, tapas are bar food. Bravas and pan con tomate shouldnt cost anymore than $3. Nonetheless, still a great place for some Spanish cuisine.

We had a delicious meal and fantastic service. The food is so good and the portions are just right for sharing, that you end up ordering a lot of tapas, also excellent wines and Spanish Sherries. Fantastic Sous Chef, Jasper, came to our table to receive our gratitude and compliments- wonderful staff.

Not so happy hour meet up with my brother and sister-in-law. We had a reservation at 5:30PM and happy hour ended at 5. Why not until 6PM? We started off with some cocktails, but I ordered the Maeloc coder. That was pretty good! Foodwise, it's tapas style so we ordered a little bit of everything to try. Pintxos Gildas - skewers of anchovies Razer Clam Conserva - elongated clams Pulpo a la Plancha - grilled Spanish octopus Gambas al Ajillo - sautéed shrimp Setas el Jerez - mushrooms sautéed in Sherry Patatas Bravas - crispy fried potatoes Skirt Steak - flavorful sliced grass-fed steak Bread Service - toasted sourdough Casual atmosphere great when meeting up with friends. Good food and service. Our server was very knowledgeable. He knows everything Bar Molino has to offer from menu items to wines and drinks.

Unbelievable experience at Bar Molino. My husband and I went for our first real date night since having our daughter in May and everyone we ran into made the experience remarkable. From the host, to our server James, and the other employees that assisted in bringing over our drinks (Brian) and food (Pauleen) - we couldn’t have asked for a better time. If you need a night out that’s a bit fancy with the perfect amount of casual mixed in - Bar Molino is exactly where you need to go. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The chef and team are artists. (Do yourself a favor and get the Porron too - thank me later 😉)

Great wine selection and excellent food

The sherry cocktails, food, and atmosphere was lovely. Just be sure if you visit that you do not have "Brian M." as your waiter! He was condescending to me and several others in our party of seven. Sadly this rude and aggressive waiter put a damper on our entire experience and I doubt we will return.

I've now been to bar Molino twice in the past two weeks and the service and food/service/atmosphere is phenomenal. S/O to Curt one of the bartenders, is always on his game. Love this place!

I had an opportunity to visit Bar Molino in Jacksonville for my birthday! Let me just say, we had a FANTASTIC time there! Our server Megan was excellent and on point! She took time to discuss the menu items and after dining she assisted us with some take home wine selections! Alfred was also great, he made us feel welcomed and comfortable! Now for the food... AWESOME! I had the Pan Con Tomate with Manchego (delicious!) , the Torrijas (order two, trust me!) , and the Gambas con Calasparra (this dish is positively addictive!). There is an excellent wine menu as well! I had a glass of the 2015 Lopez de Heredia, and a glass of 2021 Finca Torremilanos. You can relax, eat, drink and wine shop at Bar Molino! If you are in the neighborhood, you should stop in, we are definitely going back for more! ♥️🍷

Went there to celebrate my birthday. They went out of their way to make it special. Food was very tasty and came out timely. The server was very attentive. The valet parking was complimentary. Really enjoyed the visit. The only negative was took a long time to get a to go order and it was a loud atmosphere but I know that just depends on the patrons there at the time. This place is definitely worth a visit.

We did the wine tasting they offered and it was phenomenal. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through every single bottle painting a wonderful picture. The small plates were a delicious combination to the wines which are also all available for sale. A fantastic day drink spot before a night out!

We went to Bar Molino with my mom from out of town. The wine we had was delicious as were all of the tapas we had. We had the smoked rib special. The flavor was good and they were good - not falling off the bone, but not bad. We tried the mushroom croquetas, charcuterie board, tortilla, tomates de herencia and the Tarta de Santiago. The texture and flavor of the tortilla was amazing. I could eat one by myself. I personally loved the tomates de herencia though they seemed to be the least popular dish at the table. I'm a tomato lover though. The dish has a hint of sweetness, but otherwise tastes fresh and bright. The sauce that comes with the mushroom croquetas is garlicky goodness. The charcuterie board stood out as one of our favorites and is well apportioned. The ambiance was nice. It definitely has that wine bar feel. The one thing I didn't like is that there were more flies than I like to see in a dining establishment. I would still give it another shot because everything was so good.

10/10 for so many reasons, and quite possibly my favorite restaurant/bar in Jacksonville! Have visited for brunch, happy hour, and dinner (tapas) service and all food and drink menus are absolutely stellar. Bar staff is knowledgeable, well-versed in wine/sherry, and lively. Space is well-appointed and comfortable, with plenty of natural lighting, an on-site bottle shoppe, and both on-site and valet parking. Not enough nice things to say; will continue visiting again and again and again.

I loved every second of my dining experience! I have now been three times and have had excellent food each and every time. Things you cannot miss - whatever special tapas of the day they have (it’s always fabulous), mussels en escabeche, croquettas, jamon sampler, and tortilla espagnole.

We had an extended family get together here for brunch. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. We ordered 7 or 8 plates and shared everything with the table. I loved the combination of Spanish staples and exotic combinations. There is something for everyone. I can't wait to go back!

Excellent service and it was crazy how fast the food came out. We loved our sangria and wine and loved 4/5 of the dishes (loved the octopus, but not a fan of the meatball). Prices a bit high for some items (tomato on two little pieces of chewy bread for $8 was not worth it). The con was it was SO loud. Multiple large tables and the sound was just bouncing of the walls. My husband was miserable the whole time and wanted to leave bc of the loudness so that kind of ruin the experience. If we come back it would be early in the night and maybe to sit at the bar.

Not going to lie. I think we got pretty lucky getting a table here the night we visited. But when you're a parent and you unexpectedly get a night out you kinda gamble and take chances and it worked out this time. But in the future, get a reservation haha. We were seated at the "community table" and had an absolutely wonderful time. We ended up being the only ones at this table btw. Landen was our server and was nothing short of phenomenal. I pretty much asked him to bring us 3-4 of their best dishes blindly (something I have never done) and he delivered big time. Every plate was just amazing and left us wanting more. It also helped out that Landen is a sommelier and was able to help us in pairing wines with our dishes. Seriously a huge thank you to you man, we appreciated the dinner. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food, the atmosphere and the people are great. We hope to visit in the future.

Oh, this place is a treat! Tapas is the perfect theme because the little plates enable us to taste so many amazing dishes! Our server, Concetta, helped to guide us towards some really special dishes as well as quantities for our party of 7. Cocktails were also amazing. We ate outside on the lovely patio that is equipped with heaters.

heir happy hour is only from 3-5pm :( and my driver, aka my husband has work till 4:30pm. So we instead made a reservation at a later time. Bar Molino is a Wine and Tapas restaurant. I really wanted to try their coffee based drink but they also have a wide selection of wine, and as my mom always say, order first their specialty before trying something else. I like my red wine dry and unsweet, so our server Brian, who was very knowledgeable in all of their wines and tapas recommended the Cubillo Rioja and it was perfect! Just the way I liked it! We ordered several of their tapas such as the Bread, a must try! So simple yet flavorful! The olive oil with garlic and sherry vinegar was so good! Pintxos Gilda, Pan Con Tomato, Patatas Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo, Skirt steak, Setas Al Jerez, Pulpo a la Plancha, and Razor clams in brine were also sampled and everything was amazing! Nice interior with a corner where wines are sold. They also sell the conservas they served such as the mussels, sardines, mackerel, etc. I urge everyone to visit this place! You will not be disappointed!

This place is fantastic, if you are in the area it is a must try! Brian was our server and he was fantastic, seriously one of my favorite dining experiences. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the Remolacha Asada, Pulpo a la Plancha, and La Albondiga. I will definitely be back the first chance I get!

My husband and I absolutely love Bar Molino. We find that it’s hard to get the full package in Jacksonville - a restaurant that hits the mark on food, service, AND atmosphere. Bar Molino truly succeeds. We spent our honeymoon in Spain and were transported back by the amazing selection of Spanish wines, including hyper-local stuff like txacoli from Basque Country. The selection of vermouth is also impressive. Last but not least - the food!!! I’m not usually overly concerned with “authenticity” in food but Bar Molino certainly delivers. Beautiful, shareable, and delicious. This is a place to go with your best friends and make memories.

Went here for Mother's Day with a group of 6, including my 2 year old son. Had reservations, so seating was immediate. First thing that stood out was everyone, including staff, was smiling and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Always a good sign! The menu could be intimidating, but our server Brian did an excellent job guiding us with confidence and was critical to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Every dish we ordered was a hit. My son, a notorious food critic, even liked most of what he tried. If you go, hang the menu up on a wall, throw some darts at it, and just enjoy whatever they bring out. It'll all be great.

We totally neglected to take photos, but have to rave on this meal. Fabulous dinner and drinks at Bar Molino night before last. I love the way the menu evolves and you can never go wrong with one of their specials. Chef's special was a grilled pear and Roquefort salad - so rich and delicious. We followed with pan con tomate, a dish of light and delicate catfish 'nuggets', and perfectly grilled scallops and pulpo. Just exquisite, and plated so beautifully. Service as always was impeccable!

Delicious Spanish style tapas with a high end feel. Quick service in a cool, casual setting. Great assortment of tinned seafood if you’re like me and love them as a delicacy. Really great selection Portuguese and Spanish wines. A+
