I loved the steak frites, but the dessert was my favorite. When the sun sets, you better have a jacket on if it's not summer! Update: Still living my best DTLA life!

Wonderful and delicious choices. The Sea Bass and Filet were superb. Possibly the best Ceasar Salad anywhere and definitely the best Bread Pudding that we shared.

Yesterday, I had a very upsetting experience with the host with dark skin who was receiving guest at the entrance. He treated us very poorly on three occasions. Twice, when we arrived, he wanted us to leave our backpacks without asking why we didn't want to. We didn't want to leave our backpacks because we had our computers inside and needed to attend an urgent meeting. I had to take everything out of my backpack—my wallet, my keys, and a medication that I needed to take —and carry it in my hands because he made me put my backpack in a locker. Then, when we were about to leave, we were saying goodbye to my aunt. She suffers from claustrophobia, but he forced her to take the elevator and did not allow her to use the emergency stairs. We felt very mistreated. We believe this is xenophobia towards Latinos, and it saddens us to be treated this way while visiting your city. We regret that this happened and believe you should review how you treat people, especially the host who treated us poorly yesterday. Thank you.

The food was really good and had a good ambience. The waiter however was not a vibe. He was very short and abrupt, not a friendly guy at all.

Perch has some of the best drinks and the best vibes! Had an amazing time. One of the smaller rooftops in the area but one of the best vibes.

It’s a really nice restaurant, the view is beautiful. Went here with my wife and made a registration for a nice evening dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The steak was amazing but the other dishes were okay, not really worth the price. The mood was nice, service wasn’t great. The waiter we had was pretty aloof and did the bare minimum which was disappointing for a place that’s as expensive as this. Id recommend going here once, take a picture and then never go back.

Definitely recommend making reservations if you’re lookin to eat. Otherwise you can hit up the rooftop for great vibes, crowd and live music. One of the best views in downtown Los Angeles.

Booked for a table outside. Called hours in advance to postpone by 30 minutes, “no problem” was the answer. Once there, we were told that we could only go inside cause outside was all booked. Then in the following 2 hours we saw 8-10 free tables outside (for the whole 2 hours). Poor customer service by Liliana, could be managed in a better way, and this poor choice ruined our night, even tho the location and food were good

I reserved my table a month ago and got the best table ever. The very front corner table. Absolutely the most amazing experience. It was stunning. Service was outstanding, and views were stellar. I'll be back in the summer. Came with my cousin for her birthday dinner. We shared the Gnocci Pesto and Plate Provencal, along with the Brussel sprouts and Cauliflower, all vegetarian options and a Starry Night mocktail. Food was delicious. Almond cake was awesome. We both had an amazing time. The only annoying thing I can say was someone flying a drone throughout the course of the night. It was loud and hovered incessantly. Not sure who was behind that. Pretty sure not the restaurants doing.

I often come to this restaurant for wedding banquets. This time I brought my friends to play with me. The atmosphere is still very good because this restaurant has very large balcony seats. If you want to watch the night view and drink, you must make a reservation in advance, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time. Take a seat. I recommend the Berry LA cocktail, it’s very sweet and fragrant! The other side dishes are also quite delicious. The waiter standing at the front desk was a little rude, had blond hair, and a little brown skin. I saw from the side that he was not enthusiastic about every customer and had a bad attitude... I rarely complain about the service in restaurants, but I still hope that this restaurant The boss can know.

Beautiful patio setting in corner. Food amazing, especially the paella and short ribs. Experience only marred by very loud outdoor concert outside.

Try to visit when I am in town. Stopped in for happy hour before dinner reservation. Cocktails were excellent and food was too. Service was beyond fast. I would have liked a little slowdown to sit and enjoy. Total dining seated time for 3 courses was just over 30 minutes. All in would definitely recommend.

rooftop on the 16th floor prohibited to under 21s because it is only a bar, but second rooftop on the 15th floor which is accessible to all because it is a restaurant. I advise you to book this place in advance and it is often popular

Made an advance reservation for a Thursday Night dinner for just myself while on this solo work trip. I was turned away at the door for being out of dress code. Nowhere on their website does it talk about a dress code and I came all the way to downtown LA to try this place. I also paid for parking so this is very rude. I am wearing halfway to the knee yoga shorts, a long sleeve top and Doc Martin shoes. Had I known there was a dress code I would have planned better. The security guard told me my shorts weren’t allowed. This lack of oversight reeks of poor hospitality.

The food was good, but lots of reasons why my experience was rather unpleasant. I came yesterday at 430. There were lots of tables available. I let the hostess know that I’d like to be seated and start ordering but I’ll be joined at 5-5:15 by a colleague for a a quick business meeting. We have to leave the perch at 6 sharp for an event, so I’d like to place the order. She told me that no, I can’t seat you down until the other person joins. Why? (I asked - it’s not like a table would be any different). She couldn’t explain but kept insisting that if she seats me down, then my friend arriving later cannot join me (!). Huh? At some point she said it was because she has to make sure each table finishes in an hour or so - and I said that fine. I told her we will leave by 6. Nope. I asked then if I could place a reservation then for 5/5:15, she couldn’t do that either demanding that I must call or do it online. Seriously? I put a reservation online, ordered several appetizers at the bar, and wine. By the time my colleague joined, at this point i already have a table full of appetizers from the bar (for which I paid at the bar - they can’t transfer the bill to the table) and the only thing left to get is a drink for my friend (especially since now we have to leave in half hour). I’m pretty sure the waitress hosting on us wasn’t happy about that either so we got the annoyed looks. Not coming back here, especially for a business meeting.

I came here again. Have to wait for order drink long lines. Good weather enjoy chilling and still many ppl on Monday night.

Absolutely incredible food, the chef geri was dishing out food quick with precision and the taste was simple amazing. All of my servers were very professional and the supervisor JR was so courteous and the atmosphere was intimate and stunning

We had breakfast 😋 the French toast was delicious 😋 it was my first time there with my bestie, her granddaughter, and my granddaughter. Our granddaughters had a blast with their shirley temple drinks, which were served on a wine glass by the bar tender it was a nice touch ... thank you so much for making it memorable for them 😀

My main gripe with this restaurant is that the food quality does not match the price. The pork belly appetizer was extremely overcooked and the accompanying greens were overly acidic and not well balanced. The steak from the steak frites was also over with the fries being underdone and frankly disgusting. The bouillabaisse was solid, but heavily relied on an immense amount of saffron, making it very one dimensional. The service was great, and the view was good. I’m not a fan of the loud club music, but I understand that’s typical in LA. Notably, nothing here was bad, except the fries. It simply just doesn’t match the price. Can’t say anything about the drinks, which seems to be the main appeal of this place.

Perch offers wonderful views, especially at sunset. The cocktails are delicious,the food is okay. It’s definitely a good option in downtown LA. The live music at sunset time is a nice touch!

Salmon and Rib Eye Steak were amazing. We loved this place. Nice roof top view over downtown. Deserts were delicious, too. Nice service personnel. Highly recommend!

Food was perfect! Service different than I expected/am used to. There were three of us and starters didn't come at the same time, so we couldn't eat at the same time. We asked if they could please bring the main courses at the same time, which they did. However, while I was still eating, plates of table companions were already being removed and a dessert menu was brought to them. There was also some drink tampering; I would expect you to wipe the table with a cloth and clean it a bit. Maybe cultural difference. However, the quality of the food was sublime!

Heard so much about this place, booked a table well in advance. We were visiting from NZ and meeting friends who came to meet us and this was a reunion after 20 years but the restaurant staff just didn’t care of the occasion! Offered us a space on the deck without overhead umbrella in 3pm sun. Refused to move an umbrella from other empty tables or join two smaller tables on the side covered gallery to make a table for 6. When we shared the occasion the reply was cold “nothing we can do”…… so ZERO points for customer service and for going out of the way to help customers get a memorable experience. Liz who was serving us was the shining star and did her best to look after us with a friendly conversation, smiling face and prompt service. And then they were too busy to clear the table and making us eat quickly just because afternoon shifts were ending. Only if we had known how bad they are towards the end of the afternoon shift…. We would have gone elsewhere. So please be mindful when booking! Food was okay and we won’t go there again as there was nothing great about this place anyway.

We went here after dining at Mrs. Fish. I didn’t understand how the booking on the 13th floor work but the rooftop doesn’t require booking so just let them know. They checked ID! The vibe at the top was nice although most views are blocked by higher buildings. In early summer it’s bit chilly but they have fire. We only managed to find a spot without fire so we left early because it’s too cold. Mocktails are nice!

Exquisite. We have friends from Australia over and we wanted to take them somewhere quintessential LA. Perch did not disappoint. Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful, from Security to the Manager. We had cocktails at the bar (did not disappoint) Dinner at an outside table (did not disappoint) Dessert and dessert wine (did not disappoint) The building is stunning as well!! We are now brining our Mum when she arrives from Australia. Highly recommend, actually beyond highly. Superb night. Thankyou to the Manager for coming to our table and spending sometime with us even with being so ridiculously busy. Sign of great Management. Ps we did not have to wave a server down for anything. Timing was perfect, we never ran out of alcohol or food. Beautifully run.

Delightful experience overall. We arrived early so we went to the rooftop bar and had drinks which were tasty. It was a hot and sunny day and there was very little shade so we definitely recommend going later in the evening (our reservations were at 6:45pm) but the bartender was very friendly. When we were seated in the dining area the view was very nice and it was a lovely temperature compared to the rooftop. Dinner was pretty good. I got steak friets and my husband got the little neck clams. Both were good and reasonably priced. The steak was a little tough and while I liked the poutine style of the fries I felt it was a little unnecessary, especially since it was served with ketchup. The clams were great and the fish on top was cooked well. The portions were pretty large (I could have done with 2/3 of the food throughout the night). Dessert we had the crème brulee and the bread pudding, both were quite large (probably just share one), and the crème brulee was good but it was on the verge of being too floral with the cardamom and orange (for me at least) my husband said he liked the level of cardamom and orange. Overall, despite the nitpicky things regarding the food, I would definitely return. Good date night spot with great views and good service when we went.

I came here for the first time with friends for brunch. If you arrive before they open, there is a line downstairs on the street they have you wait at. There’s an elevator to take up to the restaurant area. The dining area is nice, lots of open space and city views. The food is okay, could’ve been better but it’s okay for a brunch. I ordered the avocado toast. It was a bit tasteless. If I visit again I may try something else. The drinks were good from what I hear. After ordering at the restaurant, we went up to the rooftop where the views are spectacular. There’s a bar and a couple restrooms, as well as spaces to sit. Definitely a must go for the views.

I booked a table of 12 for my bachelorette dinner last Saturday night, March 18th. I was blown away by the freshness of all the food. The food was excellent and my party said it was a great price for all the food we received! We also had a very nice server helping us throughout the night, I didn't catch her name. I am giving three-four stars because I didn't like where the manager sat us and I was hoping for a more accommodating table. It felt really cramped and the staff didn't make us feel super special at all. From the moment we arrived to valet, the valet people working downstairs were rude, impolite, inefficient, and you could tell they were very overwhelmed. Then when we got to the 15th floor to be seated the hostess was extremely rude to me when I checked in. I didn't catch her name. But I did not forget her interaction with me, she had a lot of attitude. This was the night of March 18th around 7:45 pm. Also, our table was still not ready and we didn't get seated until about 8 pm, but our reservation was for 7:30 pm. Everyone was already present for the reservation at the bar. I am giving the restaurant 3-4 stars because of those interactions and the fact that they didn't really make it super special for us, even though it was an important night for me and I had been communicating with the restaurant through open table for the last month or so. However, I really appreciated the food and the menu that had my name printed and it stated bachelorette dinner on it. I loved that touch which was really personable. The cocktail drinks were extremely sweet and most of the girls in my party who ordered cocktails didn't like theirs, including myself with the passion yellow colored one. It was just so sweet I had a hard time drinking it. I think the night would have been perfect if the staff was a bit nicer in the beginning including valet and the table situation would have been much better. Thank you Perch LA for the experience.

Perch was such a vibe with spectacular views. Service was the only part missing. We wanted an outside view but was told they could not accommodate us because we arrived a little later than our reserved time. They said we’d have to wait 1hr and 45 min to be sat outside but there were clearly open tables. I did enjoy the upstairs lounge and live music. So we were still able to get our view, just not while dining. Kind of unfortunate when your bill is $200.

I went with a group of people who work in the hospitality industry so we know what kind of service should be provided, especially at an establishment like this. Service wasn’t there. Our server looked over it when she reached the table. Not even a hello, how are you, or even a is it our first time here? Which it was. She came up to the table and said “Are we ready or do we have questions?” In the most monotone voice. Your staff definitely needs more training. Food was just fine and drink selection is okay. Nicest part was the rooftop. Bartenders were quick and kind and the view is nice.

It's strange that there is no dress code here, because here you can see ballroom shoes with an evening dress and not even casual suit or to simple! The musicians improvised all evening, generally not bad, but it felt like we were at a rehearsal. Otherwise, everything is super, the steaks are magical, the service is high quality, the view is amazing, we highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been yet! A great dinner for me and a couple of friends. The food was amazing, and the ribeye was so rendered down that it melted in my mouth. I’ve had a lot of nice steaks from some very nice restaurants, and I was shocked at the quality since this isn’t a “steakhouse” in the traditional since. The view and atmosphere were great, the drinks were great, and the food tasted amazing. The rooftop bar was also a nice touch, and the live band was so on point that we thought it was just a mastered recording of lounge music until we found where they were sitting. I don’t think I could rate this place high enough. It’s rare that I’m so impressed by a place.

I went to Perch last night with 8 coworkers (all of us in town for work). The food was decent but honestly nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were probably the best dish (and we tried em all). The service was very weak. It took a while to get a hold of our server, we felt extremely rushed from the second we sat down (regardless of time limits per table, we shouldn't be made to feel rushed). Overall this place had a pretty pretentious vibe for a tacky rooftop bar.

I was very impressed with the excellent selection of mezcal. The bartender provided outstanding advice and guidance. I would love to come back again.

It was our first time, food was a little cold when it arrived at our table. Food was good and reasonable pricing. Our server, Valerie, was beyond amazing she was very good at explaining our choices and gave us some suggestions since it was our first time there, she constantly checked on us and didn't rush us even though the restaurants was super busy.

Awesome Saturday night in downtown LA at the Perch. Brett was very accommodating and engaging. He made our great experience greater. Maybe we got lucky, as this was our first time, but that would be hard to believe. The music on the rooftop was fantastic, we ate excellent meals, had great service, and danced. A spectacular date night.

This place is located in the heart of downtown LA and offers a stunning view, prompt service, and attentive staff. We visited during happy hour on a Monday afternoon from 4-6pm and found the restaurant to be more than half full. The staff were knowledgeable and efficient, even the man downstairs. I recommend requesting a table outside if you have a group of 2-6 people, as we observed larger groups tending to sit inside. We ordered six small dishes (highly recommended the aracini and burrata) my husband enjoyed his red wine, and I had four cocktails. The bill came out to $80 before tips, which we found to be a great deal considering the view. I highly recommend checking it out.

The only friendly human is this man bar tenders not friendly ..they need to do better i will let my bodys not to go this place sucks ..never coming back ..

My boyfriend made a reservation for my birthday a week before and we got semi outside table that has no view but it was what it was. When we entered the restaurant, many worker gathered at reception and having conversation and they awkwardly walked away without greeting. When we ordered food, I pointed out what I want on the menu telling our servdr but she brought wrong food. I told her that it's not what I wanted and she looked pissed. Food was ok not so great though. I expected fancy and nice atmosphere but Perch was old and much more casual than I expected. Workers are not professional. If you look for nice fancy restaurant for romantic date, I don't recommend.

This place was trash. 50 dollars for a steak thats taste terrible. Walmart has better ones. Very small side portions . They give you more salad than mash potatoes. The view was nice but overpriced food for a place that’s overhyped and the waiter provided terrible service. My advice, don’t come here.

Truly an amazing place to go and enjoy the view. The food was also fantastic and I can't wait to go back with my wife. Just needs a little help in knowledge with over the phone customer service. Other than that, pretty smooth.

My favorite place in downtown LA area

Came here for dinner Saturday night to celebrate our friend's bachelorette party. The views were great, food was great, but the service was terrible. Pros: first and foremost, the view at this restaurant is spectacular. We got a gorgeous panoramic view of DTLA from the 15th floor and the design and decor of the restaurant was unique and full of personality. We ordered the pork belly, loup de mer, steak frites, and Bouillabaisse; all were delicious. Our favorite dish was the Bouillabaisse. The steak was juicy, tender, and flavorful but the truffle cheese fries were cold when served and drenched in sauce. Nonetheless, the food was delicious and we would come back if not for the service. Cons: we were served by Marina and service started going downhill upon ordering. Firstly, she forgot our order of brussel sprouts. Secondly, the plates and utensils were casually placed on the side of our table, and the server fully expected us to lay out our own dinnerware. For a supposedly fancy restaurant like Perch, I've never seen such service before. The food arrived relatively quickly but afterwards we seldom saw our server. At the end of the night, while waiting for our server to come and settle the bill, we were approached by the hospitality manager who offered the future-bride-to-be a celebratory dessert on the house. It was unclear whether he offered it for free or just offered to make it special, but either way we would not have ordered anything if not for his comments. However, when we got the bill we were fully charged for the dessert. Not once did the hospitality manager come back to check up on us, and at one point we even noticed him behind the bar, drinking liquor from the bottle. Lastly, their credit card machine kept declining our Canadian credit card and the way the situation was dealt with made the whole ordeal extremely awkward and uncomfortable. The server could have dealt with the situation better instead of saying " I tried to word it better but your card keeps getting declined" and then refusing to try the card again with a valid PIN (common for Canadian credit cards). Overall, this was supposed to be a special night for our friend on her once-in-a-lifetime Bachelorette party, but it was soured by the lack of service and hospitality at Perch. For out-of-country visitors, I warn you not to trust the hospitality manager's words/promises of special accommodations, and I recommend the restaurant owners to re-train and re-educate the staff at the restaurant so that their service can match the quality of food at Perch.
