This place is my new favorite, when in the area. The food is beyond excellent, and the service could not be better. My son and I stopped by a few days ago for the first time. We did not expect such a warm welcome and felt almost like family. Oh, and the prices are insanely low for the amount and quality of food. Can't wait to go back.

Enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak and fries. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. Banana pudding was excellent. I’ll be back!!!!

OK, so this place is small and not fancy, but the staff is great, food is very good, and you get a lot for your money. $13 for a freshly made bacon cheeseburger combo is tough to beat. I will be back.

Tony, Chief boy r John, and Josh are great. I had a Philly pita and tots it was soooooo good! The pancakes are awesome. When I'm in this area I'll be back. I'm glad we came off the well beaten path to have some great breakfast with great friends!

I had a great experience at this breakfast diner! The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The menu had a good variety, and everything i ordered was tasty. The highlight of my visit was the friendly and attentive staff. They made me feel welcomed from the moment i walked in and provided excellent service throughout my meal. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends!

Although the night before discovering this charming little dinner spot might have been a bit much for someone who’s now a lightweight, Benchwarmers Cafe made the morning after much easier. With its welcoming staff and hometown vibe, I thoroughly enjoyed a savory breakfast bowl at a fraction of the cost I’d pay at a corporate joint. Next time you need comfort food, be sure to stop by this local gem just outside of downtown in the newly updated strip of San Marco on Phillips Highway! Hit me up if you need a brunch bro 💪

This was a great find the food was really good had the chicken philly recommendation by the cook and it was better than i expected. To be honest i hate going out to eat i rather cook at home but i enjoy finding places with good food at a great value for me this place was a hit. I wont call them staff because im sure its family owened and operated so the team here made it great. Honestly i will come back when i just dont feel like cooking i have cooked for many years and you just cant beat great people doing what they love ill have a burger next probably today... I've reviewed Benchwarmers a couple of times and I always focus on the quality of the food. Today, as I'm here picking up breakfast for the office, I noticed how clean it ALWAYS is. It smells fresh and clean, the scent of bacon and coffee in the air. The tables are immaculate and the customer service is the best and always welcoming. They even accommodate my pickiest crew members preferences.

Benchwarmers Diner is one of those Hidden Gems we like to Mention to our foodie friends and anyone who asks about good food in Jacksonville Florida. The Prices are Affordable, and the Portions are Filling too! If you hate being treated like instant family when you walk in the door or being asked if you're enjoying your food by the staff & owner, well you probably won't like it here. Awesome deals and good food. There arent too many restaurants with a combo price point of $10 and under. An average lunch is $15-20 these days. Benchwarmers is awesome. The owners are cozy and the restaurant is cozy. I will eat here again.

Great food. Had the loaded Philly Cheesesteak with fried okra and it was delicious. I've never had such fresh tasting fried okra Fresh made iced tea to top it off. The owner surprised us with homemade banana pudding for dessert. OMG

The owners Toni and John were just as sweet as can be. The patties are made from scratch The bacon on my burger was big and thick cut and my onion rings were made fresh. They even let me sample some of their fried okra for free and just tossed some in for the road. And on top of that they even let me sample their in house made cinnamon toast crunch squares. All for $14 after all was said and done. Good people, good service, good food. That's all that we really want in this world sometimes and they nailed it. Thank you Toni and John.

It's nice that it is next door to the hotel we are staying. The is great we have ordered 3x since we have been here,(take out) the pancakes are huge and thick.The sausage patties are huge, great price just don't be stingy with the Syrup😁but over all I give it 5 stars!

Stopped by for a lunch today. Restaurant closed at 2pm and I showed with 15 minutes to spare.. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. Everyone was super friendly and didn't mind that I showed up as they were closing. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Place feels like an old mom & pops joint & they were nice & even cooked me breakfast after it was over. But the food was nothing special & they don't have biscuits & gravy!

What a wonderful experience. My husband has mentioned that he likes to come here for breakfast and now I understand why! Great 👍 service, food is delicious and served quick. This was the first time we had been to Benchwarmers. Because of their hour's, works out great with our work schedule. It's a plus they are right down the street from where we live. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were fast and the food was great. Definitely go back.

The cheesesteak was delicious. They have tator tots and my dad likes it. Those are the important things for me.

Service- This has to be one of the nicest hidden gems in Jacksonville. Mrs. Toni and Mr. John have the best customer service ever! The way they make you feel like they want you to be there is something that need to be studied. They should teach a class on customer service 101! -Food They cook your food to perfection and the ingredients selected are fresh. The timing on when you receive your food is even better! -Atmosphere It reminds me of that neighborhood dinner that's been around for years. They make you feel 100% comfortable and vert knowledgeable about the food they serve.

If your looking for breakfast and lunch spot. Look no further. Their pancakes out beat IHOP and Crackle Barrels. Need I say more. If your looking for a good burger and Don't want to cook it yourself. Try theirs with TOTS for the TOTS out beat Sonics and other local restaurants in the area. Let's not forget the amazing service they bring with laughs and smiles from the time you walk through the door until you walk out. Take your family here after a game. Perfect! Seniors this could be your go to spot as well.

Love this place. So good! The staff is wonderful. Our office is close by so we order all the time from this place. Everyone is so great. I brought a client in once. Clean, orderly and the friendliest of people ever.

I've passed by this place almost daily for around 2 years and never had the time to stop in before. I decided to make the time today with my baseball kids and we all loved it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I'm just mad it took me 2 years to finally go in. We'll definitely be back!
