Great staff, great craft beers, and great music!

Great brewery. They have great flavors and they make their own personal beers. Very unique flavors that are worth tasting. I highly recommend this brewery as a profesional on beer.

Super relaxed neighborhood pub vibe. Nice to get out of the heat, listen to some good music, and have some great beer. Hungry? They allow bringing in food from deli next door.

They have several tap beers. I tried a couple of them and they were very nice. As a downside, they don't serve food, and the location is probably not the best. However, you go for the beers, and they are good!

First, I would like to say that I only gave it five stars because I cannot give it six. Beer... Delicious! Atmosphere... Amazing, not only is it family friendly when the sun goes down it's got a little spice to it. Wednesday trivia.... Ultra challenging. Probably the best in town. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it!

The beers here are very good if you like dark very beers that are not just IPAs.

This crew will go out of their way to show that this is your local, family brewery. Customer service second to none, but the relaxed nature comes with the industry. Even so, they set the bar for other local breweries who have lost that humble owner-proprietor feeling.

Rally enjoyed the atmosphere here, the in house brews were great, and I did not expect the welcome surprise that was Edmund.

This has to be the coziest and friendliest brewery I've been to. Most breweries these days have a bit of a cold industrial aspect to them. Not so with Blackadder. I enjoyed the Belgian quadruple and the house hefeweizen and they did not disappoint. I hope to return again soon.

Every time we drive through FL we stay in Gainesville just to drink here!!! One of our all-time favorite places to hang out for beer. Plus we have to catch up with Edmond the cat mascot! 😍

Blackadder is perfect for appreciating the beer and being able to hear the conversation of your company. The environment is comfy and the selection is great. Also there is an adorable cat, Edmund.

Blackadder is a relatively small and cozy space with beer and darts and usually a food truck outside and sandwich shop next door. They usually have about 10-12 of their own beers (often with a Belgian twist) and at least 15 other draft beers. You can get a sample and taste. Friendly bartender/owner. Easy to park.

Great fun place, Good brews, We just have to remember not to Go when they have a live band. You can't hear your self think, let alone talk.

Best pub in Gainesville! All their craft beers are excellent, with all the ABV and IBU easily found. Family friendly and regularly have food trucks. Themed trivia nights and live music generally weekly. And by far, the most fun staff in town! I love this bar!

Amazing atmosphere with fantastic service. Lots of cool knickknacks on the walls, a massive shelf of board games and cars games, staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They work closely with Lubee bat conservatory and I drove down specifically for bat appreciation day. They had reasonable merch, interactive stuff for people of all ages, and even a couple live animals on site that they brought out for close encounters! I met a skink and she was majestic! The brews I tried weren't my favorite, but they have such a large selection including guest taps that I'd 100000% come back.

Great atmosphere, great beer! The inside reminds me of an old world pub and is very cozy. Definitely a place to go to when you're thirsty on that side of town!

If you love breweries and you're in Gainesville, you have to check out Blackadder. Nice sized brewery, great menu full of their beers and beers from other breweries, plenty of tables, and lots of board games to choose from to play. The sweetest cat lives there, too! I felt like I was at home, and it was my first time visiting.

Friendly and familiar, definitely a place for relaxing after a day of work. Staff is excellent and service is on point.

Very friendly nano brewer. The inside resembles a tudor British pub and there are outdoor tables with big umbrellas. 30 plus beers and ciders on draft. Bingo nights, trivia nights, occasional live performances. Food trucks and a deli next door

Small little bar/brewery, primarily focused on European beers (English and Belgian especially). Bar is themed like an old English tavern. 40 taps total, with 7-10 house beers (and usually a house-made soda or two) on tap and a well-curated selection filling out the remainder. The Hart's are great brewers, and all of their beers are well-made. Prices are on the higher end for town.

Blackadder is always a top tier experience, because of top tier staff and brews. It's always a lovely time coming to the brewery. Update 2022: I really wish I could give this place 6+ stars. It is Always a phenomenal experience here with the owner and staff always on tap. I can't suggest this place more as a Gainesville Must Experience staple.

UPDATE: Blackadder is now serving coffee from 7am-10:30am and I am so thankful! Their iced coffee is on spot and the pricing is just right. So glad they expanded to local organic coffee:) I absolutely love that I can walk from my home to this amazing new local spot. The owners are so kind and easy to chat with, the brews are always changing so there is something new to try every week. So glad they are here:)

Cozy place to chill with some friends. The venue is a little small inside, but if you get there early you can group tables. Wednesday night trivia is a great time. The in-house brews are great and they always have rotating guest beers to keep things fresh and interesting.

This brewery is by far my favorite, it is like my own personal Cheers. I am happy I am still able to enjoy the beer while we go through this pandemic. 2 thumbs way up! Update: the brewery is back and better than ever! Great beer selection & friendly faces!!

Nice vibe. The beers are good, both local and guest ones. This is a "MUST SEE" brewery. Always having fundraisers for local charities too. Go support them.

This is without a doubt our favorite brewery in Gainesville. When we moved away it was easily what we were going to miss most - and now we're coming back and could not be more excited to hang in one of the friendliest and most welcoming breweries I've ever been too. Both Chris and Sissy do a great job of remembering regulars and welcoming new comers (and even when they're not in the other bartenders are always friendly and helpful). Not only that, the beer is delicious with their own selections being great and the rotating taps offering something new for just about anyone. We can't wait to get back, and if anyone is looking for an example of the awesome craft beer culture of Gainesville, look no further. P.S. try the Snow Gose

Nice quant hole in the wall pub brewery with decent selection of in house and rotating guest taps specializing in Belgium selections. Enjoyed the options of outside seating and food truck. Extra perk is their merch with Edmund their mascot cat.

Excellent beer. Peppered Porter was great as was the Hazy IPA. Owners are quite friendly. Dog friendly on the outside seating.

Love it !! Cool , laid back sphere , love the cat and the owner is so knowledgeable about the history of Blackadder brewery as well as all the beers on tap . We sat in the cozy fireplace area and it felt like I was hanging out with a crowd of people that were just like us ... good people .

Cool atmosphere, great staff, great prices for a Saturday night. Their brown ale was delicious and super smooth and their stout was very unique, pepper in the name so interesting flavor being able to taste the spice

Although I can’t make it my weekly go to place (I live an hour south) every time I’m near Gainesville and have at least an hour to spare I hit the adder. Never had anything short of 5-star experience. And whether you can talk to the owner or just listen the beer knowledge he has is amazing.

We had attended an Octoberfest here and could not wait to return. Tonight's experience sorely lacking. Bartender unwelcoming. Could not wait to rush us out. We felt unappreciated, despite our large purchase and growlers to go.We understand a closing policy, it was the lackluster, unwelcoming attitude. Even when cleaning our table with their child in tow, no appreciation and not "you're welcome" when we thanked her. Completely different experience from the last time we were there.

Good place. Was asked for an id on my second drink after my tab had already been opened (still okay with it), but the woman gave me a weird look after looking at my id. Kind of spoiled the vibe of the place for me.

Great beer, interesting crowd- home away from home

First time going there. I have to say, going inside you forget you are in Gville. Feels like you stepped into a pub in England. Plenty of beer on tap and a number of them Blackadder originals. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you have a non drinker with you, that's alright, step up to the bar and order a cream soda on tap. We happened to be there on Harry Potter trivia night. Best come with your "A" game... they take it seriously! (Floating candles and house flags) Food trucks are a regular there, so food and drinks a plenty.

We have frequented Blackadder twice and have enjoyed it very much. We like the cozy, pub-type atmosphere. We like that there is a bar to sit at and commiserate with the staff. Well informed; great suggestions. We enjoyed two flights the first time we went. I enjoy stouts and my husband enjoys fruity and sour. We brought our own food which the establishment encourages. We, unfortunately, left our cc the first time we went there. I contacted the owner and he assured me he would keep it safe for us until the next weekend. And he did. We will return again. Edmund is adorbz.

Outstanding Scottish European German medieval ish interior. very comfortable,fun, fast knowledgeable staff, very unique. they have a ton of craft beers that they make right there on the premises. They don't serve food but they have food trucks outside and literally 20 ft away is a huge deli with all kinds of food. It's right next to Books-A-Million a few blocks from the mall

Ordered Queenie, red ale, nicely paired with a pepperoni pizza from the food truck on site!

Beautiful English style pub with a selection of sours, Belgian beers, and a few IPAs brewed in house, with an extensive selection of guest taps.

We enjoy Blackadder very much. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The owners and staff treat you like family when you come and it's never too loud that you can't talk with your party. We enjoy Belgian beers so their quad, Date Night, and tripel, Giggling Imbecile, are our favorites. Definitely a must try in Gainesville.

This is an official Gainesville staple. If you want to feel like part of the family at a brewery this is the place for you! Chris, Sissy, and staff are not only friendly but super knowledgeable about beer. The staff will share a smile and a story with you as a walk in any day. Not only is the atmosphere cool but it is extremely clean and warm. There are board games to play, drinks to cheer, and bar stools to scoot. Kids also have a great time and it is super family friendly. I cant recommend this business enough and hVe done so since day 1!

Great space, captures an (admittedly stylized) Elizabethan publick house vibe. Great brews, wide variety of styles, and a nice sampling of guest taps. Super pleasant staff, always attentive and happy to help. Highly recommended!

We were just passing thru on a road trip and wanted a growler fill to go. We were so impressed, we stayed for a round. Very creative offerings, all 3 beers we tried were delicious in their own right. Also, it was Bingo night. Looked like a lot of fun had we arrived earlier.

Cool, unique place. Friendly bartenders. I tasted a couple of beers that weren't for me, but Queenie - their Belgian red - was a home run. They also had a "Covid collab" IPA that was pretty good. Brewery #392.
