Great food and amazing service. We met the new owners, and they stayed open a little later for us after the rays game. They were extremely nice, and very welcoming. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a good sandwich.

Didn't expect it to taste so fresh. I'm impressed! Food was prepared very quickly and the portion was also generous. We even received some complementary Cuban bread.

Ropa vieja melt was SO good! The quality of their meats, cheese and bread is top notch. Feels like an actual east coast sandwich shop.

A nice, casual sandwich shop. We had a couple satisfying sandwiches and split a bottle of wine before visiting the Trop. A great pre game meal.

Looks like a hole-in-the-wall diner, but that just adds to the awesome atmosphere when you go inside. Service was fast and accommodating and the food on a scale of 1-10, was a 12. The beef and cheese brisket sandwich was beyond delicious. I'll be making special trips to eat there!

Our all time favorite sandwich shop for many moons yet our recent visit was beyond disappointment. Possibly new management? The breakfast sandwich was not like previously ordered - on this day a grilled in piece of hair in the bread, one overcooked egg, no carmelized onions and only 1 piece of bacon for the entire sandwich. Kindly mentioned to staff; got a raised brow and a perplexed looked as they turn away never said another word to me. It is… was a great sandwich shop? Sadly disappointing because generally all other sandwiches were absolutely delicious and thus the numerous return visits. Now we are not certain. New cooks? New staff?

I love this place so much. I’ve been going here for years. And I always get the same thing… The turkey fig sandwich. It’s a really tiny spot with only a few tables inside and a few outside. Great location, amazing food, and just great vibes with the people working inside. You can’t go wrong with anything here The only downside is, they’re not always open and that’s really disappointing when you’re in the mood for something special and they are closed lol

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in st Pete!

Discovered this beautiful shop on a random walk. Staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and kind, we sat down in front of the shop on their table with a view of the quaint street and enjoyed the delicious cheese, turkey fig sandwich, bacon mac & cheese. Everything was quite tasty. I loved the selection and team’s knowledge. They were immensely great at recommendations. Absolutely delicious.... Stunning selection of meats / food / condiments/local fare etc... fab conversation with the staff Outstanding... If you live locally then support this fab little business... Amazing.

Not sure how this place has such great reviews. I got the Italian. They give you like 3 slices of deli meat and charge a premium…. The bread is pretty good, it is decent quality but the value is not there at all tbh. If you’ve ever been to a good deli in Brooklyn you’ll know this shouldn’t be called Brooklyn South.

We love Brooklyn South, it has some of the best sandwiches in all of St. Pete. The crispy Ciabatta bread is pressed to perfection and the combination of flavors never disappoint. Some of our favorite sandwiches are the Italian, Rosemary Chicken, Turkey Melt and the Spaniard. Great staff as well, indoor and outdoor seating.

I don’t know if there’s a change of ownership or not but I went in wanting to get the real original and realistic, Italian meats for a charcuterie board and I was told they don’t carry those for a while. The refrigerator was bad as far as I could see I’m very disappointed.

Got the Mac and cheese with pork , and the egg sandwich . Honestly better then expected ! Sooo good , I will return 👍🏽

I liked it! Good sandwiches for a good price. The service wasn’t the most upbeat (they seemed a bit impatient and cold) but the food was yummy.

Today, 7/14/23, I chipped my tooth on the egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich. First of all, I took the bacon out becuase it was soggy undercooked. So I was eating a soft sandwich and all of a sudden *crunch!*, I bit onto something small and rock hard. I will likey need to go to the dentist. Very angry. This is also gross.

The Cuban was amazing. The service was awesome. Great street-side sandwich shop.

Ended up here before the Rays game and the sandwiches are amazing. Met the owner very friendly, had a nice conversation. Great service, we will definitely be back. Highly recommend Brooklyn ;)

Small sandwich shop that hits a home run with hot pressed ciabatta sandwiches. I had the turkey with fig preserve and it was very yummy. Edeo was so friendly and helpful. They have a decent selection of drinks (Estrella Damm, my fave!) and a cheese shop next door you have to see as well.

This review is for their cheese shop. Which is one door over. $25. Very messy picnic charcuterie. Was having a mommy daughter day so wanted something more “Instagram able” The lady working there didn’t use gloves. Bare hands on the cheese and fruit as she cut and packaged it. I’m not a germophobe and it still made me uneasy. Kind of gross.

The food was amazing the quality of cheese and meet excellent and the service as well. The bread that they used for the sandwich is super good 😊 I love it 😍

The bacon mac & cheese slapped harder than Will Smith. Absolutely the best mac I've ever had in my life! -1 star because the restaurant is filthy. Cobwebs and dirt all over the walls in the dining area, kitchen is dirty, lots of burned out/missing light bulbs. No surface was clean.

The sandwiches are good .. it's just a store front with some tables .. the service was like we were bothering them .. there are too many restaurants around to compete with and always another place you can go if they make a customer feel unwanted ..

We stopped by to pick up some items to make a charcuterie board, and ended up getting sandwiches as well. Really good sandwiches. The service at the sandwich counter was great, and eating outside at the sidewalk tables was really nice. The wonderful woman in the cheese shop was incredibly helpful! She had great recommendations and helped us put together a fantastic charcuterie board. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had no expectations of this place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing sandwiches and friendly service. The veggie sandwich was one of the best I've ever had.

This was the absolute worst sandwich ive ever had i got the cuban and my god was it bad meat was very soggy bread was dry and when i said something to them they told me to leave like come on now have better customer service i will never ever get anything from here again and i will never recommend this place to anyone

The name attracted me to try, but wasn't for me. I was hoping more meat with rye bread. got neither. Perhaps this may be the Brooklyn way, but I preferred the Katz's way...way better.

The tuna melt I ordered was not very good , couldn't eat it. The Mac and cheese was great. Couldn't get the taste on the melt.

This was the worst italian Sandwich/sub I have ever had. All I couild taaste was pesto. $24 with a tip for a single sandwich is ridiculous, but I'd thought it was worth a shot. NOPE!!!

Just had an opportunity to visit this place and it is truly amazing. They specialize in sandwiches and subs type of products. There is an excellent mix of classics with new things and in general there is a surprising twist on all their offerings. We had Cuban sandwich, the Italian and the corned beef and they were all great. Next time ill try the Ropa Vieja. Again, all had a twist to the classics and it worked very well. Add this to a very friendly and relaxed environment and you have a winner. Plus great value. They also run a Charcuterie place next door and if you are really up to be taken to a next level, go in and try some of the cheese and wine combinations they offer.

Staff was rude ...not sure why when my order was 28 dollars for 2 items and only was inquiring cause I've walked by for 3 years and never stopped in...only asked questions regarding menu and if it was open

The spicy Turkey sandwich with ghost pepper cheese is amazing!! The spiciness brings out the other flavors. The bread is delicious and so is their Mac and cheese.

Loved the bread and sandwiches. Also the ropa is fire. Our new goto sandwich shop. Also of note, we ordered from here Uber eats and it traveled all the way to Ft Desoto extremely well and hot. 2 thumbs up.

I'm updating my review because I think a little of the charm was lost when this place changed management. I think the selection of cheeses is nothing like it was before. Still 5 stars though because this is still one of the best lunch restaurants in st. Pete. The previous owners had such an unreasonable love of cheese and a need to share it, it was really endearing.

Great looking sandwich (tuna salad melt). Unfortunately it had way too much lemon and it overpowered the flavor. I'll give them another try but will steer clear of the tuna salad. Very friendly staff.

Outstanding! I was looking for a non-chain sandwich shop on the way from the airport to Treasure Island and this was perfect! Owner was so friendly and explained the sandwiches and the quality of meats and cheese is top notch. The bread is like a ciabatta style so it didn't get soggy the rest of the drive until we ate it. We got the Italian and a habanero turkey sandwich (very spicy but we like that) and both were the best sandwiches we'd had in a long time!! 😋

I went here based upon a local’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. I can’t recall the sandwich I got, but I also tried my wife’s and both were great! Very tasty sandwiches. Excellent service with a smile! This sandwich shop is unique and the food is fresh! Great location too! Easily walk to the Trop before or after and lots of other shops around. Enjoy!!

Very good for a small establishment. Hubby loved Reuben on chibata bread. I had tuna. Tuna was not mayo based but with capers & cheese on warm chibata...so good. The mac 'n cheese is sooo good! Don't miss it.

Brooklyn South is such an amazing place. The quality of products is stellar. Every employee who has helped me has been so friendly and knowledgeable. The addition of the adjacent space has taken them to the next level. Christine has done an amazing job making the space feel organized and accessible. The old display case was so abundant that it was difficult to find what you were looking for. I love it and can't wait to come back.

Amazing!!! Great variety to choose from. I'm extremely happy with this Amazing cheese platter. Christine is absolutely fantastic. She knew her stuff and made great recommendations as to what paired with our choice of wine and tast buds. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Should not be allowed to be called a NY deli! Reuben sandwich is absolutely NOT a Reuben. Other person with me tried the Jerk Chicken sandwich which was a recommended item by staff... chicken was Luke warm and slimey, definitely not freshly cooked. If you want to call yourself a NY Deli, you should work on having some of the staples.

We came to buy cheese and stayed for lunch. Excellent sandwiches (all cheese themed). We split a Corned Beef Sandwich/Panini ($11.99) with melted cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers & Peter Lugar Steak Sauce, and a Tuna ($9.75) with emmental cheese, capers, and mustard mayo. Then we bought cheese and sausage to take home. Staff had great knowledge of cheese and was willing to share and talk. They helped us pick three cheeses to take home. They held our cheese for us to pickup later so we didn't have carry around shopping. Excellent customer service. Inside and outside dining. We will return.

Good food but poor service.We came for lunch at 1:00 on a Sunday. There were only 2 people who ordered ahead of us.We waited 30 minutes until our sandwich arrived and, as he delivered the sandwich we asked for a glass of water. We were told they were too busy and it would take a while. We never got water before we finished. About 4 people were waiting for their order when I asked for water. My heart goes out to restaurant owners who can't find decent help. I would go back, but only if they are staffed better. Perhaps after the pandemic

Normally I would have taken a picture as a local guide reviewing a delicatessen This time when our awesome foodie suggested to try the Cuban sandwich we all 3 took the plunge. And when he delivered to our seats the aroma overwhelmed my senses and we devoured the best Cuban I have ever tasted in my entire life. I hope you always the option as we will be back again and again. I have also told a dozen people and hopefully they tell you when they arrive.

Fantastic hot sandwiches. Rosemary chicken is excellent. We didn't see options for cold refreshing sandwiches. Perhaps we just overlooked those. This sandwich shop is a hidden gem though.
