I would give more stars if I could! The measure of a person is how to respond to adversity and this place showed their true colors. This location is one of integrity! I was organizing a school event and this location was catering. Our order was ready on time. However, we also wanted to have brisket due to some or our attendees not eating pork. Bubbalous updated our order and delivered it to us. I will share my experience with anyone looking for a professional and moral place. I will be using them in the future!

Pulled pork and luxury brisket, plus excellent service

You are welcomed with an amazing smell of Smokey BBQ. It is nice and cool inside. Visited today for the first time and ordered the pork and shrimp combo with a side of corn nuggets. When I got home, I only had shrimp, bread and fries inside my box (bummer!!!) Corn nuggets were a 10/10, shrimp is ok, too oily for my taste, but a solid 6/10. The bread was good, nice and buttery. The fries had no seasoning or salt, were really soggy when I got home (5 minute drive). The whole point of me visiting was to try the pork, unsure where the disconnection was, but I understand, things happen. This place needs more love! Such a staple in the area. I will give it another chance soon! If the pork is as good as the smell inside, I can expect it to be good.

Great servers and wonderful food. Speedy service too

Wanting some Bar-B-Que and this was the closest location to where I was as I’m not from the area. Beef rib plate was my choice. Ribs were pretty good, tender and came off the bone with zero effort. Beans were filled with spare meat pieces and not watered down. Mack N Cheese was creamy and hit the spot. Slaw, well….. I’m not a slaw fan so if I ever go back I won’t order it again. It did not have a zip from red wine vinegar and was just cut wet cabbage with a white fluid on it. Garlic bread was flavorless, was hope full as it looked great but wasn’t. I’d stop again if I’m back in the area just won’t order the bread or slaw.

Sliced Pork Basket Regular was delicious Tender and Seasoned Pork but Baby Back Ribs Basket ..Ribs were slightly dry and lean not tender with little fat ...LOVED The BBQ FLAVOR AND SEASONING...GREAT VARIETIES OF SAUCE

Myself, wife and kids were looking for a bbq place around orlando area after spending the day at universal, we found this place and only 10 mins from the park, it was so so nice, we had pulled pork sandwich and a rack of ribs but the star of the show was my texas brisket sandwich which melted in my mouth, staff friendly and can't wait to come back again

Coming from Colorado to Florida, blew my mind with this place!. The food is amazing, I am born and raised in the south this place made me think of home. The gentleman recommended the brisket and boy was I happy we went with the recommendation. Food on point, place was cozy and busy I see the hype.

Great food and service. I was in town for 4 days and ate here 2 times, it was that good. Portions were plentiful and food had a very good flavor. I recommend Bubbalou's if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Great food very friendly staff can’t wait to come back and try more stuff on the menu something is wrong.

We have been here a few times and decided to order online tonight. The wings were not smoked as advertised, just fried. Not your classic bbq restaurant wings. Could have went to a sports bar and gotten equal wings for cheaper. It also took about 20 minutes after the scheduled pickup time for the food to be ready.

The baby back ribs were great, but the garlic bread was awful. It tasted like old grease. No garlic whatsoever. They could do better if they tried.

I love bbq, I’ve been in Austin just to try the bbq, I kind of obsessed with food. And this place was a great surprise. The balance price/quality is hands down one of the best places of ribs and bbq in town.

It was good but it was better I agree with some reviews, the food is good do not take this negative it is just not AS GOOD as it used to be. Service was ok and the place is a classic Orlando spot well located. Its not a destination food spot but it will NOT let you down. Great variety of drinks Better french fries would also be awesome

This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I’m here in Orlando for my birthday. The baby back ribs portions were very large. The sides were very small, but the taste and quality overall was very good. I would return.

ATTENTION: If you like REAL smoked brisket, delicious flavor and texture, this place is NOT the place to get it! I'm so confused by these reviews.. this place does NOT have real brisket. It's more like pot roast. Super disappointing AND some of it was cold- so they clearly reheated it but not thoroughly. Pick 4 Rivers- they're always good.

It was my first visit here. I was driving by, and the restaurant name caught my attention. Seating inside and out. Place your order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. We ordered Fried Catfish dinner and Baby Back Ribs dinner. It was way too much food for lunch but we took away what we didn't finish. The plates included fries (crinkle cut), baked beans (sweet, had a little meat), coleslaw (creamy, not sweet), and garlic bread or cornbread. We substituted corn on cob for one of the baked beans. I was surprised to get a full ear of corn! 2 generous sized nicely seasoned catfish with the right amount of breading. Fresh, too. A slab of ribs cooked to perfection. Garlic bread was soft, not too much butter, but could have had more garlic. We enjoyed everything we ordered. No real complaints at all! It cost $50 for 2 dinners, fountain beverages, and a modest tip. Excellent price for all the delicious food we had.

It's not the first time I've eaten at this restaurant. The atmosphere is good, the cleanliness of the place and the organization excellent. The service and food are also excellent! I recommend that you come to eat pork or smoked meat, it sells by the pound too.

I have always enjoyed Bubbaloos,mostly the original and Altamonte Springs locations,so I thought the Orlando location would be a safe call for good food,great food previously,but we left almost all our food because it was cold,but worse,both dinners were so fatty,we had almost no good meat.I usually don't complain much,but I felt that the reputation of the other Bubbaloos is wrecked by the horrible fatty cheap meat served.Please do the name good,no one will want to come back after such a bad meal and wasted money.

We ordered food to go. The babybacks were like beef jerky on the outside and Chewy inside. The spareribs were edible, mac and cheese was a tiny bowl and the coleslaw was ok. Cornbread muffin was good tasting but one was dry and the other had a burn top.

Hot! Juicy meats! Ribs fall off the bone, chicken too! the pulled pork and chicken is tender and juicy. The baked beans are the perfect combination of sweet and smokey. Their greens are mmm good. Texas toast can never be bad and they make it fresh. Their toast is NOT FROZEN. The choice of BBQ sauces is amazing. Their french fries are NEVER soggy. Ive been coming here for 20 years and it is still as good as the first time. A local Gem amongst so many stones. Love my Bubbalous, it is certainly BODACIOUS!! Dine or take out

I took my daughter and granddaughter to this restaurant for the first time today. It was an immediate hit! Amine was was wonderful!

Highly recommended, rustic, nice staff and they have very cool merch!

The employees are pleasant, but the food lacks flavor. We got the shrimp and catfish and it was so bland and lacked flavor.

I ordered lunch for my staff, and it was marvelous. Staff was very nice and even helped me take the food to my car. There was a small mishap after, but in calling the restaurant, Jace took care of me and exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend.

I went to Bubbalou's before and I don't remember the food being this bad but maybe I was just famished. Opened the box and the greasy bland-looking fries we're a dead give away that I was in for a bad time. No seasoning at all on the crinkle cut fries. Brisket was completely brown and some of the pieces we're hard and/or jerky like. Another reviewer mentioned that it was almost like store brought Walmart/Sam's Club brisket and I couldn't agree more. Pulled pork was plain and no seasoning. Ribs we're ok. Nothing special but not bad. Don't get my started on the other sides. Mac and Cheese looked like kraft boxed mac and cheese. Save yourself the trouble and just pick up a box of it at the Publix across the street. Baked beans were watery. Hoagie bread was soaked somehow? Even though it was in the Styrofoam box for barely 5 minutes? Cornbread dry....that's it. Like dry your mouth out dry. Garlic bread was fine. Good on them for making ok Garlic bread. Just had to vent real quick. Not coming back. But i'm glad others enjoyed this place.

I came here with friends after a day trip to Universal Studios Orlando, they suggested we come here for the mac 'n cheese bites... Upon entering the place the atmosphere is very laid back, with wooden-like picnic table seating, a few giant TV screens in various places, again, very laid back. My boyfriend suggested the pulled pork sandwich, so I ordered that along with some fried okra, and he added the mac 'n cheese bites. And we were told to seat ourselves and our food would be brought to us. Upon waiting, there is a circular tray in the center of the table with different flavored sauces you can add to your dish, ranging from mild/sweet/mustard/hot/killer. Our food arrived and I tried the mac bites. They were very flavorful with a little kick to them, add a bit of sweet sauce with that and its a wonderful pairing. The okra was sliced, seasoned and fried well, (bonus points with me, cause I love fried okra and have been disappointed with some places. These were fantastic) The pulled pork sandwich was served on a half slice of butter grilled hoagie bread, on its own, it was lightly seasoned, but with the various sauces, you can create your own medley to make your sandwich pop. I mixed the sweet with the killer sauces, making a sweet and kicky flavor profile. Simply heaven in my mouth. The staff had stopped by periodically to ask if we needed refills or anything else, a nice touch for hospitality. After eating we cleaned up our area and proceeded to exit. I stopped at the front to chat briefly with the stuff and expressed how pleased. I was with the experience, they were very friendly and told me how they make their own sauces, nice. I would definitely come back here when I return to FL again. Worth a try if you're in the mood for some BBQ style comfort food.

Very good food but very little portions for the brisket

In the western metropolitan wing of Orlando, you expect too see Universal Studios and the residential area of Pine Hills, Windermere, and more. What you don't expect is a taste of some of the best barbecue you could ever find. Bubbalou's is most likely the best BBQ restaurant in Orlando. I always get the pulled pork and beef brisket with slaw and beans. Their BBQ sauce absolutely brings out the smokey flavors of their tender meats. Bubbalou's is the perfect ending to a long day at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios and folks, don't forget their perfectly brewed sweet ice tea. This is the pinnacle of Southern hospitality.

Been here once before. I had the ribs, pretty good. This time I bought a couple of sandwiches, the brisket and pulled pork. They were phenomenal. They use a hoagie roll instead of normal buns. Game changer. Super soft and buttery. The meat was tender and fatty in the best way. The hot and sweet BBQ were solid. The Mac and cheese was creamy, and gooey, and cheesy. The baked beans were great too. Ordered take out and told them I was close by. Was done quickly and everything was fresh.

My family and I tried out Bubbalous on New Year’s Day 2024. Overall the food was pretty good…I especially enjoyed the bakes beans😋. I tried the pulled pork plate which was meh…although I probably should have tried the brisket…I grew eating some of the best pulled pork BBQ ever and it is really hard to top the pitmasters I grew up eating. The collard greens were pretty good as well as the mac and cheese. Service was great! Would return and try some other items on menu.

Appalled at our recent visit. We drove in special from Kissimmee to this location to order a "Feeds 6 - 8 $99.99 Rib and Pulled pork with sides" bulk order combo on their current menu. Something we've done numerus times before. We arrived @ 7:30pm (an hour and a half before close). When ordering, the young waiter at the till said he would have to have his Manager enter the Combo, and asked if we could wait a moment. We of course understood, and said go ahead. After a minute or so, the waiter came back and told us we could only from the from the smaller individual combo's. I respectfully asked if they had the food to fill the order, why couldn't we order it in the cheaper package and he really didn't know how to respond. I asked to speak with the manager and they refused to come over as he'd already given his answer. One of the other waitresses had over heard, and was nice enough to come over, but even she didn't have an explanation for why we were being forced to pay more. In the end I informed them that I would be leaving this review and would never return. I would like to thank the wait staff for them trying to answer my inquiries. Even though they were put in an uncomfortable position, they were polite at all times. The owner's and management on the other hand, should be ashamed for their policy's in gouging. On a side note... we drove even further after this to "Pig Floyds Urban Barbakoa" and found out they ran out of food @ 6:30 pm and had to close early. While this was a let down for a different reason, I speculate... it probably explains why Bubbalou's was suddenly charging more for they're food.

This used to be one of my favorite places in the area for barbecue got brisket. I don't know what it was. My wife was slices but mine was like little tiny chunks that were in the bottom of the pan or something. Got baby back ribs that were made the day before and we're just warmed up on there grill. Unacceptable those ribs were so bad and I bought those just as an extra meal cuz I just had to have the ribs I used to have back in the day from here. So dry.done yesterday or the day before even I had to use sauce on my smoke meat I never use sauce on my smoked meats. Say the least. It wasn't disappointment for sure man

Out of towner. Very good bbq. Great service Brisket- liked it, but wasn’t the style I’m used to. Still very tasty. My son loved it. Pulled pork- a very wet/moist pork. Very very tasty. I liked it a lot more the brisket. My liked it. Sliced lamb. Eh, wasn’t me I usually like lamb chops, had never had bbq lamb before. Seemed well made just didn’t care for it. Cornbread - generic cornbread. But solid. Mac and cheese- tasty.

I was expecting more from this place going by the reviews but it was honestly ok. The ribs were over cooked and tough and the brisket was meh. It's fine for an average lunch but had higher expectations. It wont be remembered.

Food was great!!!! Service was great!!! Unbeknownst to me, I had been overcharged. The young man who had helped us, let me know that he'd overcharged me and gave me a refund.

This was recommended to us by a parking lot manager. We drove 20 minutes out of our way, and it was worth every mile. The meat was so flavorful and tender. The sides were perfect. Nine months later, and I still miss it.

Do not let the look of this place fool you, it is AMAZING bbq and you will not be disappointed! I had the Texas brisket and it fell apart, was juicy and had great bark. The baked beans, macaroni and cheese, fries and corn on the cob were all great sides, definitely order the baked beans and mac. The sauces were good and had a variety of mild, spicy, sweet and mustad. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating that is covered and it was perfect. The only downside was the uncomfortable picnic table style seating outside, besides that and questionable restroom, this place is awesome! If I am in the area again, hands down I will have it!

This is a nice hidden little gem. I believe it is worth your time to stop here at least once. Very good food! I believe they were on Guy fieri's show, Diners Drive-Ins and dives.

Food was delicious and the service was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a sandwich because I felt rushed for some reason (not by the restaurant) just in my head. I didn’t see they had catfish. After hearing someone order it after I was already sat, I asked if it would be possible to change my order but that it was totally okay if it was too late. Of course my food was ready by then but they still let me change the order! I was so grateful because I love catfish and not too big of a fan of bbq sandwiches. When the catfish came out, everything was fresh and hot! This was the best tasting batter I’ve ever had. I usually squeeze lemon on it for extra flavor but this batter did not need any assistance! Thank you so much to the crew at Bubbalou’s!

I was visiting the area and when I saw the name of this restaurant, I just had to give it a try. The decor is what you may expect to see for a good BBQ restaurant. The lady at counter was friendly and helped me select my take out choices and the right sauces. The baby back ribs and pulled pork were both excellent. The Cole slaw was fresh and tasty. The meals came with some nice Texas toast. Trying out this BBQ restaurant was a good decision. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for good BBQ.

My family and I are on vacation and just had dinner here tonight! Amazing food and service! Everyone was very friendly and the gator bites were amazing! My son also said the ribs were the best he has ever had!

We had the Texas Brisket and Ribs Dinners. Both were well smoked, super tender, and full of awesome flavor. The different sauces they have are excellent. Just be warned...unlike the "hot" BBQ sauce which has a subtle spiciness that sneaks up after a few seconds, the "Killer" BBQ sauce will hit hard and fast! The iced tea was an excellent way to wash it all down.

This is a great local smoke house cafe that has a great mix of meats etc. Plenty of seating inside. Good service with parking outside. Better than the usual chain restaurants with its own atmosphere. Well worth a try if in the area. Please like if this helped.

Very delicious with more than fair prices compared to other BBQ places these days. Tried the brisket, pulled pork and had one of the best slabs of baby backs I have ever had, all excellent! The brisket didn't have "the look" of "competition" brisket but was perfectly smokey, moist, tender and went great with their mustard sauce. The family got to try gator meat in the form of some very approachable "nuggets". Overall a top notch BBQ experience! Will definitely be back whenever we are in Orlando.

No long wait and made to order barbecue meal even on a Friday night. They got big portion where we ordered half a pound of pulled chicken and a 3 pig platter for sharing between the two of us. We enjoyed the spare ribs most out of all the meat, and of course their signature barbecue sauce as well. Juicy and smoky! Dinner also comes with 4 sides where you can pick the sides you like which is definitely a plus! Strongly recommend you try this place out!

We came here years ago and I remember it being awesome! Maybe my expectations were a little high, We ordered the slab of baby back ribs Brunswick stew, corn and garlic bread with corn nuggets as an appetizer. The corn nuggets were great, as was the corn on the cob, on the flip side, the ribs were cool in the center the first time and they offered new ones. I thought great! When they came out, they were piping hot! Absolutely no flavor however and there was no texture as if they came from the microwave. I was very disappointed. I will not plan on returning.

Where do I begin, from the quality of smoked meat to the tasty zing in the bbq sauce. Bubba Lou’s had me from the get go. I’m a proud Canadian that loves a quality pulled pork sandwich and boy oh boy did bubba deliver. It was absolutely delicious. The only downfall was the coleslaw. I’ve had better coleslaw from loblaws but don’t let that take you away from the fact they can make hell of a pulled pork sandwich with beans. 3.9/5 stars. Thanks bubba lou
