As the setting was beautiful, I asked to sit with a friend for a coffee at 4pm and I was told by the host that I would not be seated unless we had lunch and that the 'cafe' in the restaurant name was purely for symbolic reasons. The restaurant was empty. Awful!

My husband made a reservation via Open Table for 5:30 on Sunday August 18, 2024. It was to celebrate my Birthday weekend. We arrived, walked through the courtyard only to find Cafe Flora closed. Why would you allow Open Table to accept reservations on the day you are closed As you can see in picture …it actually states my reservation has been completed. Terrible.

Went in at 2 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, with the place nearly empty, and had two glasses of Pinot: $50. The attitude we received for not ordering food was palpable. Enough so, I had words with the waiter. I told him, if just having wine isn’t allowed, put a sign up or say something. Being rude and talking to each other about us—disrespectful and rude.

Asked if we could be seated for some cocktails and dessert. He said he would not seat us unless we were having lunch. What awful customer service at 3 o clock when the entire restaurant was EMPTY !!! Shame on the staff member who turned paying customers away when the place was empty

This is a lovely cafe/restaurant in Palm Beach. The food the wine selection and the service are amazing. I absolutely love it.

A menu of Italian or Italian-influenced dishes. What I had was first-rate. Appetizer of spicy tuna tartare served on a veggie chip and a slice of avocado. Mmm, Mediterranean sushi. The real star though was the classic linguine with clams. This is often disappointing with bad clams, too much garlic. Not here. The clams were sweet and the broth was beautifully balanced. Perhaps the best part was soaking the bread in the broth afterwards. I can't vouch for the rest of the menu, but if you love this dish, you deserve to go and check it out.

Very disappointed. Waiter came by once to take order and didn’t see again until the check….no one came to see if everything was ok. Staff spoke no English…( bread came at end of meal) Food was just ok…. Coffee at end was cold and then replaced lukewarm Would not recommend.

The staff member who cleaned the table spilled sauce from the bread all over the table and forgot to clean it up. The waiter seemed very nervous, and the food was terrible – the chicken was undercooked, and my husband's food was cold and covered in tomato sauce. Even the Sprite I ordered was awful. Unfortunately, since we were staying in a hotel nearby, we had to pass in front of this restaurant, and when my daughter requested two water bottles, a very rude man bluntly refused. I hope the owner reads this review and reminds the staff that water should not be denied to anyone, especially paying customers. I will never visit this place again, and I will not recommend it to anyone."

Service was amazing. Food was excellent, got the Sicilian dates, Vongole and Rigatoni. Nice atmosphere too.

Unpleasant experience this time. We first came to this cafe last year and enjoyed the food and service. This time however, we were only given the option to sit outside even though the tables inside were open. I even asked why we couldn’t sit inside but the waiter didn’t even give an explanation… The table was also wobbly, utensils not properly washed (felt like oil residue was still on it). Moreover, some random women kept coming up to our table trying to advertise their nearby stores, which explained why we were seated outside … I get people are trying to do business, but as customers it’d be great to be left alone and properly enjoy the food and quality time with family…

I was by myself for a quick lunch at this place. The service was lame and zero attentive. I had for a high price the smallest and most uninspired Cesar’s salad of my life. This is a “the winner takes it all“ place! I felt not welcome and was only a necessary element on the way to make revenue! Don’t get fooled by the nice location!

Cafe Flora is ideally situated in a pateo, in the beautiful Worth street, in Palm Beach. The service is efficient but cold, inpersonal. We had Linguine al Vongole, which was good but not excellent, and Fish and Chips. The chips were delicious and crispy, but the fish, halibut, was greasy and oily. Close to the end of our meal, we were offered Coffee or tea, followed by the presentation of the bill, while we were still finishing our wine, no dessert was proposed. During lunch several ladies were going from table to table promoting dresses, handbags and other luxury items, which was a bit annoying.

Celebrated my 65th on Friday. The weather was perfect. Everything was perfect from A-Z. Trying the escargot, shrimp and scallop appetizer. And ask for extra dunking breads. It was the best escargot butter I’ve ever tasted. Thank you for a terrific evening.

Very Rude hostess. Atteded a Lilliy Pultizer event with girlfried recently. I wondered in to the back to enquire about getting a table as there were many tables open. The Hostess was an absolute snob, very rude with an attidude. My girlfirend and I often visit Palm Beach and enjoy shopping Worth Avenue and truly fine establishments like Bice, Renato's and Lola. Not that I would ever return but an observation here, Cafe Via Flora is just that, a cafe in a courtyard with cobbled together tables. Whatever they are trying to be seem's odd and very off with rude service.

Limited options and uninspired flavors. Service was not great. Overall, I cannot recommend Cafe Via Flora for a satisfying dining experience on Palm Beach.

Other staff come to take our food away as we are essentially done with our dining experience. The manager comes to chat as I am assuming he can see we are visibly upset and bothered. I explained my concerns and he nicely apologized and offered us complimentary dessert. Following my conversation with the manager, our server, Valentina, has still failed to converse with us in any way except passing out our dessert plates. We are quite literally continuing to be ignored by our server! We have our dessert and finally receive the check from our server which would be the second verbal interaction we had with her. I'm writing this review out of concern and disappointment. As someone who has worked in the service industry myself, I was appalled to say the least. A representative, such as a server is a reflection of the entire establishment. Please take into consideration how you treat each and EVERY customer. I can only hope Valentina will do better in the future.

Cute outdoors only restaurant (watch the weather). Service was great, atmosphere is romantic if the weather cooperates. Food is fair, pass on the Frutti di Mare. It is pricey, but it is PB.

We went for our anniversary which happens to be Valentine’s Day. There was a prefixed three course menu, which offered a lot of options. The food was amazing but the service was awful. Our server did not return to check on our meals, refill our drinks, take our dessert order, and then had to hunt him down for our bill. The manager was very apologetic, and the bus boy was very attentive to our table once he realized our waiter was lacking. Not sure if we’d return.

As a frequent traveler due to the demands of my profession, I often find myself journeying across South America, Europe, and within my home country. While locating a restaurant is a relatively straightforward task, discovering an exceptional one proves to be a challenge. Recently, I encountered Cafe Flora in West Palm Beach. Given my status as a Floridian residing in close proximity, I opted to visit this establishment for a Valentine’s Day dining experience. I secured an 18:45 reservation, albeit with the unexpected requirement to prepay for the booking online, totaling an exact sum of $317.50 at the insistence of my wife. This amount covered a three-course meal, excluding cocktails, spirits, or wine, and notably encompassed a mandatory 20% gratuity. Upon our arrival, we were captivated by the remarkable ambiance of the outdoor seating area, evoking a distinctly European atmosphere. Regrettably, the culinary offerings did not measure up to the setting. In comparison to the service and cuisine provided by Chops, Kalutz, Okeechobee Steakhouse, and Aglio Italian Restaurant, Cafe Flora fell short in terms of quality. I strongly advise against investing time and money in this exorbitantly priced establishment. I sampled the lamb, which left me with a lukewarm impression, while my wife opted for the chicken. For appetizers, I selected the spicy tuna, and she chose a type of salad. As for dessert, we both indulged in an Italian doughnut, the name of which escapes me. In hindsight, I estimate that our meal should have amounted to approximately $200, exclusive of gratuity. Regrettably, we overpaid for an experience that ultimately delivered only mediocre service and cuisine, lacking the anticipated "wow" factor. It appears that the requirement to prepay for reservations may have been implemented to ensure guest attendance. However, I have resolved never to repeat this experience, and I would have adjusted the tip to 10% to reflect the level of service received. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the items listed on the online menu at the time of our reservation were not available at the restaurant. It appeared that certain menu items had been omitted. Specifically, I had intended to order the 10-ounce filet, which, to my disappointment, was not an option according to the server. When I pointed out that it was listed on the online menu, he simply apologized. Additionally, the key lime pie, which had been advertised on the online Valentine's Day menu, was also absent upon our arrival. In light of these discrepancies, it seems that my initial expectations were not met. As the saying goes, "fool me once, shame on you." FYI parking is a mess including valet (we did valet and waited 35 minutes before our car was brought to us) find parking and walk it.

Have dinner with family with delicious food and warm affection.

Was intrigued to try this place based on the atmosphere and that’s really all they got. Our table and chairs were very wobbly, but then the appetizers and drinks were so disappointing that we did not stay for the main course.

Sequestered in a small alley way on the south side of Worth Ave (in Palm Beach proper), Café Flora is a quaint locale with enjoy some genuine Italian cuisine. Most of the tables are located outside, though covered by large square umbrella so you are protected from the elements. In fact, it rained for a brief period of time (welcome to Florida!) and we were not affected. There is also a small cozy interior room that has approximately four tables. It was a very late lunch (or extremely early dinner) and we did not order as much as normal…an Avocado Caesar Salad (very good…the avocado worked well in the salad) and Lovey’s Favorite, a zucchini spaghetti with shrimp, tomatoes and garlic (excellent…if you are looking for a healthy low-carb option then this is it), ending with a tiramisu (also very good though a little too sweet) and a cappuccino. Service was super friendly and prompt. Worth a visit if you are on Worth! Enjoy!

I had the most wonderful experience at Cafe Flora. The food is incredible, service was fantastic, and the ambiance is beautiful. My husband and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary here for dinner and I couldn’t be more pleased! I will definitely be returning!!

Feels like a “pop up” restaurant. Poor bathrooms, wobbly chairs, average cuisine. Not on the PB “A-list” so temper your expectations!

First time here and won’t be the last. An absolute great experience from the service to the food. The manager, Cristin was very attentive and always checking in to make sure everything was on point. The food tasted amazing, was fresh and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit.

Cafe Via Flora caught our eye while strolling along Worth Avenue. We stayed for a bottle of wine and appetizers. An issue there compelled me to speak with the manager, Christian. Wow! Now here is a polished, attentive, amazing representative of how first class service looks. Our party of four was overwhelmed with his gracious, over the top resolution to our small problem. We cannot thank him enough for making our visit to Cafe Via Flora a great experience. And yes, the food, wine and ambience is excellent. I hope the owner of Cafe Via Flora reads this.

Found this hidden gem while walking Worth Ave and it won't disappoint. If you're looking for a cozy, romantic, clean and great Italian cuisine, look no further. I'd give it 100 thumbs up. The waiter and server were outstanding and the food and drinks were delish. Highly recommend.

It’s been a while since we’ve visited Café Villa, Flora, and tonight’s experience was fantastic. Ken, our server, took great care of us. The ambience were very romantic, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Levi’s favorite for a more healthy alternative to pasta. My husband had the New York strip with sautéed spinach and garlic, and said it was an excellent cut.

Tucked away off of Worth, it offers dining alfresco in a beautiful courtyard. Staff was attentive but the service struggled to keep up with the number of guests. Dishes were a bit above average but nothing special. Doubtful we’ll return.

I recently denied Cafe Flora restaurant and unfortunately, it was the worst food I ever had. The escargot was burned and flavor was bland. The presentation was also lackluster. I was extremely disappointed with my meal and cannot recommend this restaurant. My recommendation for improvement would be to focus on improving the quality of flavor of the dishes.

Cool vibe is a great location off of Worth Avenue

The line of the night came from our server who, after I asked for an order a pasta that was not on the menu went to the kitchen to find out if they could make it. He returned to tell me that they couldn't as they didn't have a cook. That said, the pasta bolognaise he brought was delicious.

Problems: (1) We had a reservation for 6 adults. We asked the hostess for a quiet table. She told another lady where to seat us. That table was surrounded by several groups and the noise level was high. We would have been shouting at our friends all evening or just staring at our dinners. We went back to the hostess and reminded her we asked for a quiet table. She told someone to seat us in the next room. It was totally quiet and could speak in normal voices. (2) The wait staff was as indifferent as the hostess during dinner. After dinner the waiter did not ask if we wanted dessert or present a dessert menus. He just brought the check. At that point we were glad to leave. (3) There are many fine restaurants in the Palm Beach area. There is not need to pay high prices for indifferent treatment.

The food was excellent, service good. It was so fabulous dining in the shaded courtyard.

Caesar salad was droopy, and croutons were stale. Dressing was poorly executed. Chicken paillard was tasteless surrounded by onions and tomatoes. Linguine vongole was soupy, clams were good, linguine was Al dente. I asked for light in the red pepper flakes. My mouth was burning. Overall, not a positive experience, though ambiance was good as was the service.

Zéro sur cinq au niveau culinaire . Bon service mais cuisine désastreuse. Spicy Tuna en entrée ridicule et poisson Pompano en plat principal avec 4 filets minuscules sur peau pour 44 usd , une honte . Ensuite un tiramisu chimique sans goût . On vous laisse maintenant car nous rentrons à l’appartement manger une côte à l’os tellement nous avons faim alors que nous avons reçu une facture de 450 usd pour 3 . Plus jamais , suis Suisse mais pas prendre les clients pour des vaches à lait .

Good food, very beautiful outdoor seating. Although it is in a ritzy part of Palm Beach, but it is not pretentious. A big shout-out to the servers, they were wonderful.

Situated in a lovely courtyard, it's a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing dinner. The more important atmosphere is to you the more you will like this place. I did enjoy the gispacho, though it could have had a tad more kick. But, after that, it went downhill. The servers, all nice, were just not good. When clearing the table after our first course, the server put his hands on the remaining fork, right on the prongs. Ugh! Then, our dinners arrived, three of the four being placed in front of the wrong person. Finally, and most importantly, the food was just OK. At best, ordinary. Yes, it was expensive, but that's not the issue. The cost would have been acceptable had the place been better, a lot better.

The food is good, but not justified by the price IMO. Service was good, which seems counter to other reviews.

Such a nice and cozy atmosphere... really loved everything about it.

We returned this evening to celebrate a birthday and were greeted and treated as if we were important to everyone. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The owner personally saw to it that our evening was made special. Highly recommend this little piece of Europe on Worth Avenue.

I just want to give an honest review. I’ll cut to the chase. Food was very underwhelming. Mixed drinks $18? This is Palm Beach, Manhattan or San Francisco doesn’t charge that much for top shelf drinks that were not eye opening. Service is slow but kind. Table cloth was dirty from previous guests. Overall, definitely not worth coming back for $50 a person for two just ehh appetizers, three cocktails and four mediocre entrees. They could and should do better. Nice location and atmosphere, minus the dirty linen. Unfortunately it the food doesn’t even the score.

This quaint gem is hidden behind the structures on Worth! My oh my! Now, the soups are the right hot temperature, the salads are fresh, uncomplicated, did I say fresh? Yes! and just tantalizing! Same with the seafood. I cannot remember what the hostess’ name was but she was alone and attending to everyone in a timely manner. So polite! A favourite! Moderately priced food for so much more. A romantic lunch date?, just searching for a spot for refreshing food? If you’re craving authentic Italian food, THIS IS IT!!!

This is a great restaurant. Our waiter Gustavo was very helpful and friendly. He was very accommodating to help our daughter get a meal she liked. She is a pasta and sauce girl. I order the grouper with clams and shrimp was amazing. My husband had steak it was good. It is outside.

Love this place! The outdoor seating is very nice. The menu was a bit different than what’s on their website. We had the caesar salad with shrimp, shoestring fries, and zucchini pasta with shrimp and olive oil. Everything was really good including the service. Looking forward to going back!

A very cute little hidden gem absolutely worth checking out

Dined at Cafe Flora and gave it a fair chance. The cocktail was all ice and after mentioning that to the server, no accommodation was made. Ordered the salad with extra vegetables, it arrived warm and barely any vegetables. Ordered the "Prime" filet and it arrived cold. They did replace the steak, but it arrived rare instead of the medium as ordered. It did not taste like a "Prime" piece of meat and had a vein of gristle in the middle of the steak. Other issues included the table wobbled, but they did level upon request. Was seated in the traffic of the servers and was brushed in the back of the head at least five times with no acknowledgement. The main seating area is in a patio with large stone pavers and each time a server waked by, my chair moved because the paver was not level as well. The server rolled her eyes at least twice when I asked for something. Fantastic Italian getaway in a courtyard surround by bougainvillea, mature trees and traditional Mediterranean architecture. Food was prepared perfectly and the wait staff was amazing. One of our new favorites! Originally had dinner, then went back two days later for lunch. Slightly different menu, but great experience had by all!

Thoroughly enjoyed our "date nite" dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Beautiful "garden setting" restaurant tucked down an alleyway off busy Worth Ave...you are transported! We were seated in the rear garden, a bit more intimate than the front garden which is more "see and be seen" but equally beautiful. Our waiter, Ken, deserves kudos! Professional and warm, no rush, totally conversant with the menu. Drinks amply poured, though glassware could use refining. And restrooms require directions from staff. Recommend the Caesar salad (a cut above the standard), linguini vongole, and gamberi with penne pasta. Excellent mini baguette bread and dipping sauce. Flora is by no means a run of the mill red sauce emporium...so a bit pricey, yet reasonable by Worth Ave, PB standards. We'll certainly return. Go, enjoy! DavidS, Boca Raton

You’d never know about this place if you didn’t know about it! Talked back behind worth Avenue, it is set in a lush, tropical setting. Delicious food, delightful service, and, though somewhat pricey, worth every minute.

After 15 min sitting by the hostess who was super nice no body come to our table to ask anything. There was differents waitress passing trough the area and no single one went to our table . We left the restaurant because no body came to service us. The place is absolutely beautiful, but need to educate the servers.

I always enjoy my visits to Cafe Flora! The food is divine, and the service is superb. Spending my birthday here us the highlight of my year.

Truly one of the best dinners I've ever had. My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day and it turned out to be the perfect choice for that special occasion. Outside ambience was phenomenal with a quiet, romantic setting, service was great, and the food was excellent as well. Even everyday Italian items like bread, prosciutto, and pasta are completely reinvented here and taste far better than their counterparts in other restaurants. No weak points to mention - just a perfect restaurant experience.

This was a lovely little outdoor garden italian restaurant in the prettiest setting back in the courtyards behind the storefronts on Worth Ave. The service was absolutely the best and I am picky. The food was delicious. The menu was small but adequate. Sometimes a small menu is nice so there isn't too much to chose from. The wine was ridiculously over priced which is kind of annoying. Just because the restaurant is on Worth Ave doesn't mean they have to gouge you. But the food was great, everyone at our table enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere enables you to feel you are dining al fresco in Europe. Definitely enjoyable.

Wanted a rare steak and wasn't even close...Wife's steak was overcooked as well. Sneaky about side dishes and cost. Service was pathetic.

Will not go back. Not great quality, way too much dressing on salad, Charge for sides but do not tell you. $55 for a dry tenderloin.
