Good service, Good pasta, not the pizza

This establishment is charming, featuring attentive and efficient staff. Our server demonstrated extensive knowledge of the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The main courses were generously portioned; even after requesting to have them split onto two plates, we were full. The ambiance was elegant, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this place.

When my husband and I entered this quaint establishment, we were immediately greeted by a lovely hostess who walked us inside to a two-top by the window. Our server efficiently poured us ice-cold water! It was 98 degrees outside and their central AC was on the brink, hence the portable AC unit behind me in the picture. The bartender made an awesome Cosmo! We had the Burrata Al Fresco to start and shared the Dello Chef Pizza. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place. :)

Having a mom from Italy and having been to Napoli numerous times. I ordered the pizza Napolitana - described as w/ Bufalo mozzarella & Marzano sauce. It was cracker thin with a small dollop of sauce in the middle and cheese everywhere .- not really buffalo ! NOTHING like authentic Italian pizza !asked for more sauce and got a dish of thin red sauce !! No dried basil to add either to the overdone fresh basil on the pizza! Will never order a pizza there again!!

What a delightful experience. Great ambiance outside in the courtyard and inside also. We sat inside. I had the palm beach pizza and tiramisu. Both were spectacular!

The menu and waitress said pasta was fresh, it was boxed. We had to ask for bread three times. Pepper was not cracked. Cheese was powdered not fresh. They did not ask if we wanted wine or dessert. The seafood was chewy. We were very excited after a long day to have a nice meal & a glass of wine with friends. We eat better at home. Leaving this review in high hopes you will make an effort to care about your customers. Be prepared to only have one check. There is only one check per table. Spinach on pizza was frozen and crust was flat.

Prime location. Easily available parking. Very cozy atmosphere. Very hospitable staff. Every item we ordered was scrumptious and beyond our expectations. Real Italian cuisine in Palm Beach.

Very enjoyable dining experience great food and great service

Went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, we were four and had the chance to also have dessert. The Pasta was really good and pizzas had nice flavors. It’s a nice place to spend some time and enjoy it with nice people. I liked the fact that we had Spanish and Italian speaking, they even sang the birthday song in Italian for my friend.

Very good restaurant, very good service the only things that I will recommend to the owner of the restaurant to do it’s to raise the amount of the pasta I got a small amount of pasta enough for a kid, but it was very tasty

I haven’t been to Pizza Al Fresco in about a year… have been there many times over the years… I was looking forward to going tonight with a friend (6/6) but was very disappointed almost as soon as we arrived. The first thing I noticed was that the hostess, host and busboys (who were all at hostess station) did not crack a smile or welcome anyone that checked in… it was actually kind of surreal. Secondly, the food has really gone down. My friend ordered the special red snapper that sounded delicious on the “specials menu”… sadly, it was like a frozen “pre-breaded” piece of fish that was dry and unappetizing. I had the special paglia e fieno pasta… it was good but quite salty. The fritti appetizer was greasy… The waitress made sure to push for all appetizers and main courses be ordered and consumed within an hour… sadly, one of Palm Beach’s dining gems has gone downhill. I would not recommend Pizza Al Fresco for a regular dinner…I think a quick pizza and glass of wine is what I would suggest.

Pizza was ok. Not bad. Not amazing, meatballs were great. Drinks were above average, location and atmosphere was great . Won't blow you away but definitely worth a shot.

I just love this place. From the pizzas to the appetizers and entrees. Has a wonderful ambiance, great food and service. I love the birds chirping, and the outdoor space.

Enjoyed the experience overall. Had a pepperoni pizza which was good the staff were amazing and accommodating when it came to my one year old.

I order a regular pizza, they served me a gluten free ( starch ) pizza…

We arrived around 3pm and ordered the Margherita, Santa siclia, funghi, and Napolitano pizzas. They were all cooked really quickly and with a very thin crust. They're a good size for one hungry person or two peckish people. The Margherita is a typically cheese pizza, the sauce is really flavorful though. Santa sicilia had mushrooms with truffle oil, you can really taste the truffle oil but the mushrooms are wonderful. The funghi is just a cheese pizza with multiple mushrooms, the variety is nice. The napolitan was my favorite. The cheese is phenomenal and it seems that they used a different sauce as dollops. Sooooooo good. We sat outside and it wasn't very full at all, the weather was nice and the scenery was charming. Our server was really nice and super timely plus he was very knowledgeable about the things we asked him about. 10/10 would recommend.

This is our go to place in Palm Beach. We like our pizza thin and crispy. Food is great ,service is great ,prices are reasonable. Love Peter and Javier they always treat us like family. Lots of families with kids.

5/11/24-Delicious affordable lunch option on Worth Avenue and Palm Beach! Always 5 Star service, food quality and ambiance! Today Vanina better known as V to the locals, was our server and she is amazing! Always attentive and informative and welcoming!! Javier, the General Manager, is charming and hospitable! Greeting every customer with a cheerful smile and asking if all is in order! Today I sat inside since it was unusually hot out and I wanted something light! I ordered my usual Pinot Grigio and decided on the Burrata Al Fresco! Delicious creamy Burrata over a sweet ripe tomato slice surrounded by delicate prosciutto di parma with a basil pesto drizzle! What can I say! Dreamy, yummy and so much more than I could imagine! Served with warm bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar! Wow! You ate transported to a little village in Italy! The outside patio is magical completely covered by umbrellas with little twinkling lights! Of course, I couldn't resist their desserts! I always leave just enough room for homemade desserts! I indulged in their amazing Tiramisu! Oh my! Light, fluffy and so delicious! Huge portion enough to share! One of the best I've ever had! But of course I ate the whole thing! Yes, I did! We grabbed lunch here the other day before heading to the beach. We split a pizza and it was very good for being a simple order. The staff were also super prompt. We actually noted how quickly they seated large groups without reservations. The best part though had to be the setting. It felt like a small courtyard in Tuscany, not Palm Beach. I also felt like it was fairly priced for the area and quality, and would absolutely recommend going there for lunch.

My go to when I’m in West Palm. Great food & atmosphere. Service is great and drinks are delicious! Such a great vibe!

Be cautious - you're in for the rudest service experience at this establishment! We arrived without a booking, yet were promptly seated without any mention of a need to dine and dash. However, 40 minutes in, the rush began. They suggested packaging our unfinished meals for takeout while we were still eating, then outright requested we vacate the table, citing the need for it. In a matter of minutes, another server echoed the demand. Shortly after, a third server arrived, silently clearing our plates

Great place to grab something quickly to eat. I had the lasagna made with eggplant for lunch and it was excellent, but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was very good on even a very busy afternoon. You go here to when you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere - nice breeze on a hot day, beautiful flowers, plants and people.

Just horrible. Don’t order appetizers unless you want them to come with your main dish. Don’t hand them your credit card they’ll charge what they want. Don’t attempt to talk to them - I hope they’re dishonest but alas they’re stupid.

Really disappointed after eating at that restaurant for many years, pizza announced like 'wood burning brick oven' tasted like frozen cooked pizza with very sweet crust. We selected the Napolitana normally served with Bufala mozzarella but it was cheap mozzarella. In the past, you could see Bufala mozzarella in small quantities melted on the pizza, today it's a mixture of cheese with tomato sauce probably used for any other pizzas. We had the Hawaiian the week before, it was terrible. We felt it was only a bad choice and went back but... My wife's meal, Cannelloni was also not like described on the lunch menu, ' veal, spinach, vodka and grated parmigiana', it looked liked beef rather than veal, spinach absent, where's the Vodka and the Parmigiana ? Certainly not like real Italian cuisine should be and what you find in other good Italian restaurants in Palm Beach. The Tiramisu did not appear to be home made but a very sweet commercial one. Overall we're disappointed, we spent 150$ for the lunch meal for two, we had problems digesting the meal, one should remember we're only talking pizza and pasta, certainly not the most expensive to prepare, quality should prime at least. Service is pushy to clear your table. We also wish people serving would be trained to poor bottled water slowly with class rather than trying to extinguish a fire on the table.

Such a great atmosphere, we had a gorgeous lunch on the patio right next to some gravestones of a dog and a monkey that were almost 100 years old! 🤣 Sounds morbid but this place has such a funny history and the pizza was delicious and our drinks were very tasty. And considering the area and price point of the general location the place was very reasonable. Great place to have lunch between some shopping.

Our favorite pizza place in Palm Beach, period. It gets quite crowded in peak season , so reservations are a must. But definitely go and enjoy!!

We tried to call the day before to make reservations for our party of 8, but were told they don’t take reservations for lunch. When we arrived we were told we may have a problem being sat because they have tables RESERVED for lunch?? The host was very aloof and said it was because both larger tables were “regulars” and that is why they had reservations… I’m sorry but that is POOR customer service from the start. Very rude and short with us. Please use this as a learning experience to treat all customers the same.

Pizza was average, nothing to right home about. Service was mediocre and the front staff were very rude. Told us a week prior we could not make reservations for a table of 8. We arrive and they seat us at a very small table for 8 ppl and under the dripping gutter and wouldn’t do anything about it. As we are arrive they tell us they can’t seat us at the 2 bigger table because of reservations, say what? Apparently if you’re a regular you get to make reservations. Meanwhile they showed up when we finished our meal. So basically screw the tourists. Basically don’t waste your time here, there are better places to m have pizza that doesn’t cost this much!

The food was terrible. The lettuce was slimy, the chicken Parm was thin and dried out, and the lobster sandwich was flavorless. The only remarkable comment about this place is the charming outdoor court area.

I never write reviews, but this time i feel it is needed so this place could improve. Ive been in so many italian places all around the world including Italy itself. This pizza is really bad. It is not a real pizza. It is some kind of cracker with food on top of it. The crust is bad it looks like you are eating a huge frozen cheap cracker which was bought from supermarket and quickly baked. Please do a research on pizza recipes, go to italy or other European country trie pizzas there and change you crust asap. All table of ours had the same opinion about it ( We were 9 people in total). We also tried linguine clams pasta. It was dry and with 0 flavour. Meatballs had no flavour also. Snacks were ok but average . Compared to what you get it is really overpriced place. With such prices you should definitely work on your food quality. The service was really friendly it is just that it is so chaotic, no elegancy ( i imagine it is really hard since there is constant queue all the time). I would write 10 for atmosphere. It is a really cozy place to sit outside!

We were lucky to snag a table for 10 here at twilight during high season. The pizza is acceptable -- pricey for what it is, with a crust that is nothing to write home about. But the servers were very kind and the setting -- a tiny, charming courtyard done up with Christmas lights and heat lamps to ward off the chill -- is ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL . Given the steep prices on Palm Beach, this made for an affordable evening that felt fancy. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. Our party included kids; it works for that AND a date night. Rare.

I would recommend Pizza Al Fresco to anyone. The service was amazing that we received from our waitress Laura and Michelle they were very professional, polite and educated on what they do they really know how to treat customers you ladies need to be recognized from your leaders. Our food was delicious, awesome environment we will deft come back and would like Laura and Michelle to take care of us and my family thank you again.

What a delightful setting for a restaurant. A beautiful garden, lit up like a Christmas village. We had a lovely meal, pizza for one and roast chicken for the other. Definitely worth a visit here and very friendly staff too.

Disappointing Dining Experience at Al Fresco Pizzeria I recently dined at Al Fresco Pizzeria in Palm Beach and, regrettably, I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience. I feel compelled to share my concerns about the quality of the food and the level of service I encountered. The food, particularly the pizza, left much to be desired. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst pizzas I've ever had in the U.S. It had a cardboard-like texture, was excessively oily, and the cheese and sauce were of subpar quality. The truffle fries were another letdown; they were as hard as rocks, and the promised truffle flavor was disappointingly absent. To compound my disappointment, the service from the beginning was subpar. My party and I felt rushed to place our orders without the courteous and expected manners one would hope for in a Palm Beach restaurant. The restaurant's ambiance may emulate an Italian style, but the majority of the service staff, if not all, had South American accents. While there's nothing inherently wrong with this, it would enhance the overall experience to have servers who can communicate in fluent English without unnecessary interruptions with phrases like "Hola," "bueno," or "como estas." Additionally, it would add a more authentic cultural touch to the establishment if Italian-speaking staff were present. Towards the end of our rushed meal, the server not only subtly pointed towards the tip line but also hurriedly requested a signature. This was both unprofessional and off-putting. In conclusion, my experience at Al Fresco Pizzeria was highly disappointing, and I have no intention of returning. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to explore other dining options in the area for a more enjoyable and authentic experience.

Very bad staff offered all the white people bread staff is very racist and the food they served here was subpar they had soggy lettuce don't eat here its disgusting and everyone working here is miserable

Amazing! A must visit if you like Italian food.

Had we not been attending a wedding rehearsal dinner at Pizza Al Fresco we would not have found this enchanting garden restaurant. Several pizzas were passed around as appetizers but my favorite was the smoked salmon and caviar. All the pizzas were light, thin crusts with just the right amount of toppings. Our choices for entrees were branzino, pasta bolognese and roasted chicken. My chicken was very flavorful like a free range would be with a crispy skin. Might have been cooked in a wood fire. The fish and pasta eaters were very pleased with their choices too. From the bartenders and wait staff, I was made to feel very welcome as they gave 100% effort to really care for our large group. What a spectacular venue for any occasion!

This is a favorite spot of ours but not today. We told the server we like to take our time. He literally came back at least 5 times every 2 minutes if we would like to order. ANNOYING!!! When our pizza’s came out, I had to send mine back. Way too much cheese and all did not melt. I told the server please remake with a lot less cheese. When my pizza came back out which wasn’t even 3 minutes later, it had less sauce and just as much cheese and undercooked. The server asked if I wanted to send it back to get cooked more without me even saying anything. I laughed to myself. You know it’s undercooked, you serve it anyway and then ask if I want it cooked more? If you get annoyed that food goes back…. Do it right the first time!!!!!! Obviously I did not ask to be cooked more. I’ll do it home.

Excellent little spot for a bite while your out shopping. Good atmosphere with ample seating indoor and out. They have a friendly attentive staff and the pizza was excellent. They only have one size for their pizzas so if you have an average appetite, two people can share.

Nice place with a simple, good menu. Lots of pizza options of all styles. We had the fritto misto, pizza, seafood salad, wine, and key lime pie. It was all tasty. My only complaint was that we were rushed. We hadn't even sat down and they were trying to take our drink orders. Food was good, but we didn't enjoy the meal as we should have. I'll probably just go elsewhere next time.

We were 4 people and some wasn't finished their food and the waitresses were jumped to pick up dishes from us ; 3 times we've asked them please let everyone finished; they're ignored ( were more than one empty table); finally, 2 of us were not able to finished the food for that; beautiful location but GROSS!!.., I'll never go back SHAME

Food was very good. Service from the bus boys was good (not great). Service from the Waiter started good and then fell off. Additionally I hate it when younger people (servers) call older patron's - Boss! I think that is a subtle way of saying F-U. My server was a boss sayer.

I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was interested in visiting the grave of Johnnie Brown...and what a treat this place is! It's totally a hidden gem. The floral decor and overall ambiance of the court yard is so peaceful. Truly felt like I was in Italy. And... the pizza is great too! Would love to go back to try more of their dishes.

This place has gone way downhill. It's now half empty on a weekend night. This time I ordered the half chicken and got what was a quarter chicken. When I mentioned it to both the waiter and the manager, neither cared. They also rushed us out in less than a hour. I give this place six months or a year left to stay in business. It's clearly on the decline.

Beautiful place, average food. Average is a compliment. We were in 2, my son and myself, and ordered fritto misto, burrata, lemon chicken with escarole and pizza with chorizo and mozzarella cheese. Everything was of poor quality. Starting from the burrata. Fritto seems old. Pizza was like biscuits pizza. And the chicken. WoW. What a shame. Such a beautiful location with terrible food. Improve your kitchen.

The service/food were decent, but it's pricey! Our Caprese Salad (which is comprised of 4 slices of tomatoe and 4 slices of cheese) cost almost as much as an entire pizza. A non-alcoholic beer cost $11! The pizza was decent, but not amazing. We were seated in a high traffic area, so I constantly needed to ensure that none of my body parts were causing an obstruction. The staff was friendly, but not particularly warm...It very much seemed like just a job to everyone. The pros were that the ambiance and location were great and they were excellent about prebussing our table and keeping water full (which is a hallmark of attentive service). That being said, I was surprised when nobody grabbed my check with the credit card protruding out of it for about 5 minutes (maybe only certain people are allowed to take those?). Overall decent, however, I don't expect to get a craving to return anytime soon.
