Awesome fun dinner cruise! Food was good, price was very reasonable. DJ was fun. Captain Mike was incredible and made my fiancé's birthday really memorable. Highly recommend!

I typically don’t leave reviews, but I want others to know how HOT the boat is! Sweat was dripping off of us! We wanted off the boat within minutes. We stayed only because of how much we paid. (I wish I did get off and lose out on almost $400, bc it was NOT enjoyable) A perk to the boat is free beer, wine, and rum punch; however, no one wanted to drink bc of the extreme heat. The food was surprisingly good tho! The one star only goes to the food and service. I have been coming to Johns Pass for over 30 years, and I will NEVER board this boat again! RUN!!

We went last night on a Thursday. Not many people on the boat but, had a blast. The food was really good. Especially, the fish! The unlimited drinks were great. DJ was cool. We saw the best sunset we have ever seen. WOW! Would definitely, do it again.

We went on the 6pm cruise. We saw dolphins on the ride out. The food was delicious, the service was spot on, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely recommend.

The food was decent and the servers were absolutely amazing but it was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The air conditioning was not working and being stuck on a boat for 2 hours with barely functioning air conditioning, sometimes not at all, was absolutely ridiculous for 55 dollars per person. There was a woman there who had to take her child’s clothes off and leave her with just a diaper on because it was so hot and stuffy. Please, please, fix this issue.

My group was 3 adults and we had a great time. For what the cost is, the experience is great, the food is good. The drinks that are free with the booking are bud lights, Budweisers and rum punch. The dolphins loved us. The sunset was picture perfect. Highly recommended for a nice vacation dinner adventure. (Or dance party)

Our dinner and dancing evening cruise was wonderful! We enjoyed all of the delicious food on the buffet with a great window table! Then upstairs for fun dancing music played by the DJ! What a great evening and so reasonably priced! Did I mention beer, wine and rum punch is free and "unlimited" with the buffet purchase?! We really had so much fun and highly recommend spending an evening on the Calypso Breeze!

I was surprised by how good the food was. The atmosphere was great. It was definitely worth the money. If I had to pick negatives one would be it was too short. I thought it said 7-930 but it ended at 9. Also it says beer and wine but only few wines and Bud and Bud light are included. They have others but there is a charge. Overall it was great! Go have a a great time.

There is no excuse for the AC unit to not have been working. Not in Florida in July.

Ship was really old and neglected. Food was ok, nothing memorable. Air conditioning barely worked and inside was super warm. Waitress super rude and unprofessional even to get a glass of water was hard not to mention the already included beverage. DJ was super boring. Definitely not worth the price.

What a great experience! So well organized, the staff was super friendly, food was good, and the DJ was awesome! Great night out on the water. I went in the Captains quarter and got to pet his adorable pup Cooper, and blow the horn 😊 We’re now locals, so when we have visitors in town we will definitely bring them on the dinner cruise

Fix your AC and don’t make people pay for stuff and then lie to them when they get on the boat and say the AC is malfunction and you can’t do refunds… not a good look when it’s 100 in the boat and it’s raining not a good look

Always a great time on the calypso dinner cruise. The buffet on the calypso out of Clearwater had a bigger buffet, with more options.

We recently had a great experience on a Breeze dinner cruise and would recommended this experience for anyone looking for a relaxing evening in St. Petersburg. The food was really tasty with lots of options available served buffet style. Everything was great, with the whitefish was particularly delicious! Everyone on the staff was really attentive and friendly, as well as quick to respond with any request. A huge shoutout to Captain Mike for allowing the children with us to hang out with him and his dog (which the kids loved)! Wonderful views, delicious food, great service and, overall, a fantastic value and atmosphere. I’d highly recommend this dinner cruise for anyone interested in a great time.

The food was good, and the staff were polite. The A/C and air flow were horrible. It was extremely hot. All 3 of us were sweating like crazy. My wife couldn't even eat. Everyone was complaining but trying to make the best of a bad situation. I asked one of the wait staff if this is normal and was told the room will cool down once they were underway. It didn't cool down until everyone left the room to go outside where it was cooler. Do yourself a favor, have dinner somewhere and just go on a dolphin watch tour.

First time on a boat. Boarded Fairly quick. Food was good, the fish was amazing. The included Drinks were limited but good and strong just the way I like. Staff was excellent all around especially Captain E! Overall my friends and wife had a great time will definitely do it again

Highly disappointed! We booked this boat for a bachelor/bachelorette party and everybody was super excited! The day before the company contacted us saying they were cancelling our reservation because they decided to use this boat at Gasparilla instead-where they’d make more money. We had to scramble last minute to fix this decision and the night wasn’t the same because of it.

We had a great time. The food was awesome and so were the drinks. The two girls that took care of us were outstanding it was extremely organized. We were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary and the dj announced it played a special song for us he was great and loved all the songs he played. Can't wait to go again.

The buffet is on the second level. My biggest complaint is the air quality is very poor./HOT. There’s no fans for air ventilation/circulation, widows are closed (probably a safety factor). Whatever A/C coming from ceiling vents in middle of the room, you couldn’t feel, especially with all the people there!!

I had an absolute blast on this boat.. ... food dancing unlimited drinks all included for one low price. I went on memorial Day weekend and absolutely loved it The only issue is I wish the AC was upgraded it was really hot but the boat was also very full even if it paid $5 more for a while to upgrade the AC system It was really warm other than that perfection

The buffet was one of the best we have ever had. Food was delicious with a wonderful variety. Our server was very attentive and ready to get us anything we needed. Drinks were included. Our 50 + community went on the Calypso Breeze lunch cruise today in Madiera Beach. It was excellent as far as service, seating and any assistance that was needed. Food was delicious, Steven and Jasmine were our servers. They were very attentive and attended to all our requests. Couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely go again. Florida is beautiful and these people were great in making us comfortable and sure we enjoyed our cruise.

The captain was very helpful and the boarding process was easy. I will definitely come back again for a relaxing time!!

Make sure to call ahead to make sure they didn't cancel because they won't call you. Got there and there half an hour early, and they were locked up, not a soul in site. An empty boat

It was awesome!!! But the captains music was way better than the dj… the captains let us in the wheel house and they were so amazing! Definitely would do it again!

We rented out the entire 2nd deck and celebrated my daughter’s 18th Birthday. The staff were excellent. The dj kept us on our feet all night as we requested the latest tunes. Most of all, we had minor error with one of the crusiers being pulled over by the police and did not make boarding time. The captain waited until her got there, took us on a smooth ride, and returned back to shore safely. Cant wait til the next sailing

I took my family on the Thanksgiving cruise. Pros: We didn't have to cook and the employees were nice and efficient. Cons: It was some of the worst food I've ever paid for. And our plexiglass window was so damaged that it was hard to see out of. The mashed potatoes and stuffing tasted like an extruded food product, colored to look like different things. My sister said, "I'm sorry. I can't eat the turkey. It's too salty." Then my mother, who hadn't heard her, said, "The turkey tastes like someone dumped an entire salt shaker on it.". Then the stranger next to me, who hadn't heard them thanks to the loud music, asked, "What do you think of the food?". "It's horrible.", I replied. The stranger smiled and said, "I'm trying to eat the turkey, but it's just too salty.". Maybe the food is better other days, but I'll never waste another penny finding out.

Shayla and captain E were the most amazing hosts I have ever had on a boat. The music was fun. The food was great. Drinks were strong. The captain was extremely safe and accommodating. 10/10 reccomend this boat

Great Thanksgiving buffet cruise. Terrific food, friendly employees, beautiful view.

There were about 6 items total on the buffet. Those items were mediocre at best. All of the alcohol that was included with the buffet purchase was awful quality. However when our group attempted to purchase other alcohol the bar ran out of vodka within 45 minutes. Overall an extremely underwhelming experience.

Very organized boarding, the food was amazing! Jessica and Shayla were always quick with any requests and were friendly and fun. The rum punch was amazing. We also purchased a couple drinks that were spectacular! We had an amazing night and can’t wait to do it again!!

This was a fun evening boat cruise. The buffet was yummy. Our hosts were wonderful.

My budget negative review was incorrect information during ticketing that says ship boarding was 6pm with sailing at 6:30pm. We booked because we thought we would see the sunset...we only saw remnants around 7:15 when we finally left the dank, smelly waiting area with no services. We wouldn't have driven 2 hours to arrive at 6pm to wait for an hour in an comfortable outdoor area. This information should be corrected and boarding time and sailing times published should be adhered to. The servers and DJ were very friendly. The food was ok but displayed in 2 very small serving carts that were a complete mess by the time we got to our food. The fellow guests were nice people.

We had a fantastic time on the Calypso Breeze and plan on going again next year. The food was wonderful, our server was extremely attentive and the DJ was terrific! All 6 of us had a great time!!

We were a group of 30 friends and though we understand not everyone likes Spanish music, we asked and asked and asked the DJ to play some Spanish music and the WHOLE NIGHT he ONLY played ONE of the songs we requested. And it wasn't like we didn't tip, many of us did and he only play ONE song the whole night even though we requested many songs. There was another group of people on the boat that danced the night away, while our group was sitting around bored hoping the DJ would play songs we enjoyed.

Food & customer service was awesome. What's not ok is that the air conditioner doesn't work well and it was extremely hot on the boat. The 3 asmatics from our group had to stay outside most of the ride to get fresh air. You can not request songs from DJ so not what we expected. Definitely dont recommend this particular starlite boate. This my worst experience with starlite so I want ever get back on the calypso breeze again. Monique Whitaker

I have so many thoughts. I joined a large party (family reunion) on the Calypso Breeze dinner cruise last weekend and it was...an experience. Firstly, this is far from a luxury cruise. So if that's how you've been sold it, consider yourself warned. With that in mind, I think it's a lovely family friendly outing, but it could use a facelift in a few areas. The food: Nothing to write home about. I understand that as a buffet, it's not going to be a Michelin star meal but the taste and quality of what I had left a lot to be desired. It strongly reminded me of a dining hall or cafeteria in a college dorm level of quality (and that might even be generous considering a lot of colleges have leveled up their meal options in the last few years). The ambiance: It was hot hot HOT! I don't know if perhaps the A/C was having an off day, but the entire first floor where my party was seated was warm the ENTIRE ride. I only got some relief from the heat when standing directly under an air vent or out on the deck. As for the actual decor of the place, it looks like it hasn't seen a new design or color palette since the early 2000's. Once the DJ got the music going and folks were full, people of all ages hit the dance floor and it was a good time. Accessibility: I had a toddler and made the mistake of bringing a stroller thinking there might be an area to park it. I was wrong. I ended up tucking it in a corner behind a chair but when everyone was seated, it was a tight squeeze for the person sitting there. So imagine if you had someone in your group with a wheelchair or walker. I'd also add that the seating and buffet line flow leave the space feeling super discombobulated. I just think the boat should be bigger overall. Overall: I did have a good time on the dinner cruise, but with some improvements, I think it could be a GREAT attraction for locals and visitors.

Very enjoyable and well worth the price. My husband and I did the dinner cruise. Service was great as was the food. It was fun cruising by all the expensive waterfront homes. My only suggestion would be a live entertainer (i.e. keyboard/singer or guitarist/singer) to be added on one of the decks.

This was a great experience! I highly recommend the sunset cruise! The food was good, the waitstaff were absolutely lovely, the free drinks were good but the paid drinks were incredible. View was amazing. We saw dolphins. Very calm ride.

All I can say is wooow. A wonderful place to dine, excellent customer service, excellent food, excellent prices. I hope the owner pays their employees well, they deserve it. This restaurant will definitely become one of my favs and if you like outstanding food and service you just might like it too.

We arrived right on time and we’re immediately brought into the ship and met by our host. He was great and got us our drinks right away. Music was good for all ages and the staff was very personable and made the night fun. The buffet was surprisingly good, I tried a bit of it all and enjoyed the white fish the best. Overall, for the price, I was very pleased and had a great evening.

Had a good time crusing in Tampa Bay near John's Pass . The music here was so loud and annoying. Could have done without it !!!

Upstairs tables were sticky with spilled drinks for our evening cruise. You would think they would have cleaned them. Desserts are awesome. Meats are sub par. Don't go for a beautiful evening cruise. They boat toodles around the bay, and the crowd is loud bordering on obnoxious. But every cruise is different. This was just our experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews. We had a great time. We departed on time, the food was good, the service was great, the music was good, the scenery was amazing. We even got a window seat without reserving one. Overall, we had a great experience. I cannot really think of anything to complain about. The rum punch was strong and they kept our glasses full. They do take credit cards if you wanted things from the bar that were not included. The Caesar salad was fresh, the chilled shrimp was good, the teriyaki chicken, bbq, and blackened fish were all great, but spicy.

If you're looking for a laid back way to wind down a day in Madeira Beach you might want to consider taking one of these cruises. I won't lie-- it's kitschy but it's kitschy in a good way. Essentially you're taking out for a harbor boat tour around sunset for about 2 - 2.5 hours. During that time you can eat from a buffet of decent offerings and enjoy free unlimited drinks including rum punch, beer, wine, etc. The food is okay-- good but nothing spectacular. The boat, however, makes the trip fun with various entertainment on all three decks. The bottom floor is for dining, the second floor is for dancing with a live DJ, and the upper deck is for sight seeing. Overall, it was fun. The servers were all incredibly attentive and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxed. Again, it's kitschy but sometimes kitsch is fun.

Amazing cruise!! The staff is amazing. Jessica went above and beyond during our cruise. The food was also incredible and seasoned perfectly. We even saw some dolphins on our way out. Highly recommend this to everyone.

A must try! I've been here twice and both times were amazing! I always do the buffet package. Beautiful views, fun music, unlimited beer and soda and let me not forget, the food is always delicious! This place is a whole vibe. The staff here are wonderful and so friendly. Our waitress was very attentive in offering drinks throughout the cruise. Can't wait to return again next year. Don't forget to bring cash for tips, they deserve it for sure.

We probably should have read more reviews before we booked. The staff were not overly friendly, yet were always looking for tips. Upon entering the dining area, two musicians were playing some nice steel drum music, which made for a nice atmosphere. However, it didn't last very long. While waiting for our table to be called to the buffet line, another table jumped the line and got away with it. Jeez, we were hungry, too, but waited to be told it was our turn. Also, while waiting, a variety of beverages were being freely offered, but for some reason, we seemed invisible to the staff member with drinks, and were bypassed multiple times while others around us were being "topped off" or served repeatedly. The food was OK and there were sufficient amounts available for the number of passengers. After dinner, rock and roll dance music began and it was BLASTED throughout the entire boat and on the open air top deck. There was nowhere to escape it. For those who wanted to dance, the second deck was the place to go, but why the music was cranked up everywhere else, I don't know. It was a beautiful starry night and it would've been so much more enjoyable to have had at least one more quiet area to access to enjoy the evening and scenery. I felt badly for the owners of the homes we passed along the shore as I'm sure they could easily hear the music as well. The boat also left 25 minutes late because there were 3 people who were running late. That was ridiculous. I can understand waiting 5 minutes or so, but to hold up about 75 or more people for that length of time was just rude. 7:00 PM departure should mean 7:00 PM. In an apparent attempt to make up for it (there was nothing publicly communicated to any of the guests on board), we returned about 20 minutes late. That really messed up our appointment/pick up time with our Uber driver, creating some additional distress to return to our hotel. Again, just rude of the staff to not make an announcement and let passengers know of the time change. I would not go back again.

We took our three children on the meal cruise. The food was surprisingly good. I was not expecting it to be good at all, but it was, and is well worth the money. I don’t drink, but drinks are included. It is good value for money.

What a fantastic evening and absolutely a great deal! Dinner, drinks, & dancing (all inclusive deal) The mango chicken was cold and flavorless - but the fish was amazing. And the peel & eat shrimp really made my husband happy. You just can't beat the price.

Don't pay for the window seats.... I got 50% of the view. Buffet is ok. I've drank enough Johnny Walker in my lifetime to know when it's watered down. It's a cool enough vacation thing just be buzzed or prepared to get drunk for it lol.
