Great, great omelettes! Perfect way to get the day going. And Very, very nice service.

We so wanted to try your place but when we stopped in a few minutes ago for a late dinner…the server (female…long dark brown hair) was extremely rude because we asked to sit outside. She came back to slam 2 menus and angrily tossed the silverware and never came back out. After being greeted by a male server, he said he would happily get our server but again, she purposely did not come back. So, we left… Update…manager convinced us matter will be taken care of and it was. We gave them another chance and this is our favorite place to eat when we’re in Madeira Beach. Haven’t had a bad experience since and food is amazing.

Breakfast was Super Good.. The Guy Server was a little Old Ball, But otherwise..SUPER GOOD FOOD... 😎👍

We had a group of 16 people. Called 3 hrs in advance and made reservations for 7:15. Once we came in, we were told that we could only be seated outside and, tables couldn’t be combined. We ended up sitting at 4 separate table. The waitress was very rude and disrespectful. I never been to a restaurant where server raises her voice and yells at customers. When complained to the manager, he didn’t even apologize saying that they are really busy. It was prob the worse service I have ever had. Highly don’t recommend this restaurant.

Hoping the owners can help me out with this one. Brian (the general manager) went out of his way to leave a 1 star on our locally owned and operated business because we called him out for illegally, repeatedly, parking in a handicapped spot. What an embarrassment to the hospitality industry. If you speak with him we will remove this immediately.

We came here for a nice dinner and to enjoy our time, but instead, we were treated very poorly. A staff member with a cap and earrings was rude, speaking harshly and aggressively moving chairs around. It was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you value good customer service.

We always make sure to visit here when we are down from Ohio. Our waitress Zoey (hope I spelled it right) was one of the best we have had in all our travels. Great food great drinks and great atmosphere. See yall next year.

We came here for dinner since we wanted to check out more local restaurants rather than going to a chain restuarant. I got the rum runner and my boyfriend got a drink that consisted of some banana flavor concoction. Both our drinks were very watery and lacked any flavor. We couldn't taste the alcohol at all. For food, we ordered the mussels and lobster fries. The mussels were good, only two that were shut so we didn't eat those. The fries had a good taste but they were sooooo soggy. I think if they switched to thicker fries, it would work better. There wasn't a lot of lobster meat and it was chopped up so bad I felt like I was eating cat food. Our waitress was very sweet, so that's what saved this review. We chugged the drinks and ate as much as we could to not feel as if $50 were wasted (it still was).

The Reef is a must for us anytime we are in town. We love their breakfast and bartenders.

Bread tie in my coleslaw. Can here from Hernando County to have my girlfriends birthday at Barefoot Beach Resort. Took my food to go back to resort and almost done with meal and there was a breathe in my coleslaw. Was not happy at all. Left an email to c response. Won't recommend at all. I should went to Bubba Gumps.

Country fried steak with gravy, home fries rye toast , 2 eggs and an amazing Bloody Mary for me. My wife had the amazing cinnamon roll.! Great breakfast, all prepared as ordered! It was a great day to eat at the Reef!

AC wasn’t working which was a downer, but service and the food were too good to not give a 5 star.

I love this place! The stuffed grouper is a must !! Lexi was our server she made sure that my anniversary was memorable , never had to ask for anything she was on top of everything!! Brian the general manager runs this place!! He came and talked with us a couple times and made recommendations for our desert ! They key lime pie was out of this world , wonderful person and his presence was the icing on top of our experience , will be coming back again :)))

Bartender was great, they had 3 huge tacos for $10, and were presented nicely and you almost need a knife and fork to eat, good portions for sure.

Stopped in here on our way to the beach since there were good reviews and we wanted seafood. We stood and waited for about a minute before someone yelled from the bar they would be with us shortly. When we were seated, Jennifer stopped by after a few minutes with no smile and didn't talk to us besides asking what we wanted to drink. We told her we were ready to order in which she said there were 2 tables before us and she was only taking drink orders. When she brought us our water, she decided she could take our order. Again no talking no nothing besides taking our order. When our food arrived she dropped it off and never checked on us the rest of our meal. The fish was decent, the fries and coleslaw were terrible. We ate our food and Jennifer noticed we were ready to go and brought us our check. Again no words. When she brought our credit card back she then told us to have a nice day or something along those lines. We had tried thanking her earlier when she took our order but she clearly didn't want to talk. We did notice her demeanor was the same with the other tables as well. Terrible service!

In a sea of overpriced beach town restaurants, The Reef serves quality food and drinks for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Every year we travel to Maderia for a long weekend vacation. On one of our first trips we visited The Reef and were so excited to find such a great place. The food is amazing but the star is the bar. The bartender Rick remembers us year after year. He makes the best drinks and then makes you feel like part of the local family! Hands down the best atomsphere and food in Maderia Beach!

Service here is great. Was greeted by a young blonde girl at door, she was like a little ray of sunshine🤣🤣 Having such attentive and enthusiastic employees make the experience all the better. The reef definitely has some of the best service around, her and the other employees are all very hardworking. Good pickings Reef!

This used to be a good review. I ate there last night and it was pretty cool. Tonight we went and watched fireworks and wanted to get dinner after. There weren’t many places open. I got there and the little emo girl said it would be a 20 minute wait. She took my name and number. After half an hour I asked her if it was ready. She told me the kitchen was closed. I asked why they didn’t let me know. She repeated that the kitchen was closed. Real special talent you have there. Thank for leaving my family and baby outside sweating for half an hour.

This place has the worst staff ever

Been here atleast 6 times, we sat down at our table and it was under the air conditioner. water was dripping down the wall and at times would land on the table, I looked up and the unit was full of mold. Super gross.

Came in late from a flight from MA. One of the only places still serving food. Grabbed a seat at the bar, Alex was awesome great service. Great drinks. Fajitas were amazing.

The reef has the best late night food! Brielle is hands down the best bartender on the beach.

They have a young bar tender who is blonde is very rude and slow to take your order. I tried to be nice and she was so disrespectful. They have a man who works at night who is the best but he can't work all the the time so she has to cover for him

Stopped in this afternoon from the beach, waiting out a passing storm. The fish tacos, blackened, were soooo...good! And the coconut rice side was a nice complement. Next time I return will order them again.

Service was absolutely horrible. We came in with a party of 8 so tip was automatically added, apparently meaning she had to do the absolute bare minimum waiting on us.

The only place we could find that serves food after 10PM. We were just looking for a snack. Cool, laid back atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating. Food was good and the server/bartender was ok. It wasn't busy at all.

Great place for breakfast! We went here on vacation and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We got the avocado toast with eggs and the French toast. The French toast was good but the avocado toast was amazing!

The atmosphere, food and people were amazing here. Out of our whole Florida trip, this was by far the best stop. Just make sure to be patient for your food. Heck, get a bucket while you're waiting. Thank you Anastasia for being our server! Would definitely recommend putting this on your bucket list for Florida!

We were very excited to go here but after sitting down, we were getting cigarette smoke in our faces the whole time, the didn’t have fish and chips and what we did order was completely disgusting. We waited 30 minutes for the waitress to come back just so we could have boxes and pay. She finally brought boxes and left before we gave her our card like she had other stuff. It was 10 minutes before she came to get our card and 10 minutes before she brought it back. And no, it was not packed at all.

I have been coming to Madeira Beach for years with my family and this restaurant is phenomenal! We went for breakfast the food was very fresh and delicious! The service was outstanding our server was very attentive and met our needs! Best atmosphere for a beach vacation! We will be back for many more years to come!

We stopped into the Reef Bar and Grill for lunch and a drink (my daughter's 21st birthday.) We got some excellent drinks and apps, namely the she-crab soup and the Lobstah fries. These were so tasty and our bar tender was helpful and attentive. Place has a fun, chill, beachy vibe. Great stop!

Our server was absolutely amazing. My family is always a task should I say but he stayed patient an on top of his game. Food was great especially the bang bang shrimp. 10 out of 10 highly recommended. Ask for Nicholas. He’s great.

We were looking for a place without too much of a wait on Mother's Day and we decided since The Reef had parking spaces open, to try it. Not a great sign but we were hungry. Our server was an older guy who was fine but just didn't seem like a server. Kinda reminded me of a Cheech & Chong kinda guy. We ordered drinks and my son wanted to spicy margarita on the posted sign we walked by in the parking lot. The server seemed to not understand and said, "How about a watermelon Margarita?" My son agreed because it seemed not worth the trouble to explain the sign. He thought the taste was very artificial and couldn't taste hardly any alcohol. We ordered the Lobster fries as an appetizer. They came out with the food which wasn't a big deal. Pretty good except they sat in pool of drawn butter. So the top fries were good, the bottom just soggy buttery soaked fries. The She Crab soup was VERY good and definitely the highlight. I tried to order the asiago shrimp and grits but the server waved me off and said someone just complained about it. I don't know how to feel about that. Glad he didn't let me order something gross but disappointed they were serving others something gross. Our party had: The classic burger, which was very good. The chicken ceasar wrap which was just standard. The mahi sandwich which was very dry but my son liked it. The crab cake blt which was also dry and my son didn't like. Overall, I could see why it wasn't crowded on a busy day but I would try it again as the food was hit and miss but the hits were good enough to give it a second chance.

We went to The Reef for dinner last week and our server Nick was amazing! So friendly and attentive. Our dinner was incredible. YUM!!! We had crab cakes, loaded lobster fries and lobster mac n cheese. We even ordered a pick up of the lobster fries on another day we loved it so much! Def. stop by you won't be disappointed. Atmosphere was a very cool vibe too.

Went to order a breakfast sandwich for takeout. Should have just ordered from my hotel. Took about 30 minutes to just get my sandwich. Other people who ordered after me got their food before me. Food was good but just took too long. Don’t waste your time.

We were looking for a late night meal on Madeira Beach, and we found a fantastic place! Friendly welcoming servers, the food was plentiful and yummy, the bar was fun and energetic. The menu has a wide variety of delicious apps and entries. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal until nearly closing with no pressure to leave. The Reef has great people working there who clearly understand the value of good food, great service and a fun time on the beach!!

Food was good, service was lackluster at best. Many reasons.

Went for country fried steak and they had no sausage gravy for the steak or sausage & gravy and biscuits. Food was good though.

Nice place to stop in for a bite to eat. I had a house salad and it was a good size salad for a small and tasted freshly made. My husband had a Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap, and he said the tortilla was nice and crunchy as it was toasted after it was put together. Service was OK. Had to wait a bit for drinks, and my husband's 2nd beer sat on the bar for a bit before being brought to our table, which was a bit annoying. Prices were average, and we enjoyed eating outside in their covered area. Would like to try breakfast someday as they serve all 3 meals and looks like they have some good options.

Food was ok i went during the week. Weird part about the visit once i was done eatting i was sitting at the bar instead of asking me would i like another drink it was you want your check. So i woulda had another drink but felt like ok ill take my check and go i guess.

Pos: Late night food menu as it was hard to find a place for drinks and food after 10 on a Sunday and food was decent. Cons: Decided to eat at the bar so girl handed us a menu and said she will be back in a min to take order. That turned into 25 mins while looking at us and making 15 or more drinks, and the other bartender seeing us hold the menu never asked. We literally had to speak up and yell, hey, twice to get our order placed. If you visit, I would get a table with a waitress.

Great atmosphere, servers unfriendly and Unwilling to help the poor girl who accidentally spilled our dinner on the floor. Mahi was very thin sliced and over cooked, coconut rice was undercooked and dry. Coconut shrimp was average, coleslaw was outstanding.

If u are like use who like to support local restaurants when on vacation then I recommend trying this place. Food was great and nice portions for prices. Nice variety of food choices for everyone. Drinks not refilled very quickly but got done. But that was it, everything else from the huge pulled pork sandwich (recommend) to the lobster Mac n cheese (recommend) to the pull apart shrimp and burghers. It was all good. Nice beer selections of domestic and lots of local brews too

Best place in the area for breakfast! Service is relaxed but good (plan to spend some time there...not a quick visit. Parking is limited but there is a paid lot one block North that offers tons of space.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from server, Mia, at the Reef. I felt rushed when placing my order and my daughters' water and Sierra Mist were not refilled despite being empty. Additionally, my order was incorrect due to her rushing me. I specifically asked if anything came on the shrimp scampi and even double-checked the menu, yet it still came out with tomatoes and onions. This is the first time I have not left a tip, as her service was not deserving of one. I would have gladly left a tip if I hadn't witnessed her being extremely attentive to another table. She took the time to clear their table and explain menu items.

Favorite place to eat while visiting family in the area. I ate here multiple times. My favorite item is the bang bang shrimp wrap. Can't wait to go back. I wish I had purchased a shirt.

Mahi mahi sandwich was very dry. Would not recommend

The burger was over cooked and dry. My Husband's fries were re-cooked and then overcooked almost burned. The fish was overcooked and very salty. It is a shame that the chef or cook will serve food like that which will give The Reef a bad reputation. I must say that the manager was very nice and comped the burger from our bill that I refused to eat. We were very disappointed!

Got the philly omelette. It was massive, cheesy and frigging delicious! Wifey got soft scrambled eggz taters and sour dough. She said the eggs were perfect, the taters were awesome, soft and flavored well and her sourdough was the best she's had here so far; she loves that tang with a good sourdough and she said it was super tangy. Weird to me but IYKYK. Neezy was a phenomenal bartender and server, and a fellow Boriqueno so that was a bonus for me since I have no family from the island in town so I can brush up on my Spanglish here! Can't wait to get back for more Bloody Mary and Breakfast Shot happiness!!

I’ve been here 3 times this week and every time the food was excellent and the service good. Prices are great! The Lobstah fries are the best ever. The patty melt was the best I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough about the food!

Ok, so there were several things that make me say go somewhere else . First, the food was horrible. My sausage gravy biscuit was awful. What little meat it had tasted like spam, not sausage. It had so much paprika. It was all you could taste. My husband got the reef breakfast, and the home fries also had so much paprika that it wasn't edible. He was never offered a drink refill. Actually, I only saw the server when we placed the order and paid. She never came back to check on us or the food. We never got the side of pancakes we ordered for my husband. I was very disappointed.. Then there was someone two tables down that were letting their dog eat off their plate and drink from the same cups used for customers. Very nasty and unsanitary.

First time in Florida from Canada and first time eating out on our vacation. A local recommended this place so we gave it a try. We were a group of 9. Our first impression was the place was lovely, we sat outside as they had a table big enough to accommodate our group. Our Waitress came and that’s where it all went downhill. I can’t say she was rude but she definitely gave the impression that she seemed Annoyed when anyone had a general question like “what kind of pop do you have”. We ordered fried pickles to start, they came out quick and hot and were delicious. We did not have a long wait for our meals. The server that delivered our meals also seemed very bothered and unfriendly. I ordered the nachos which were loaded with toppings and would have been delicious if they were cooked, like they forgot to put them in the oven to melt the cheese. My son got the classic burger and that was very good. We did not see our waitress ever again until the end . Did not come back to ask how our food was or if anyone wanted anything else to drink. when she came back I told her my nachos were not cooked at all ( I actually thought maybe they don’t melt the cheese here like we do 🤷‍♀️) but she assured me when I asked that it should be hot. I had two bits only bc I was hungry. She asked if I wanted something else but of course I declined as my whole table had already finished eating. She did offer to take it off the bill. She came back with the bills and We didn’t even have time to ask for a takeout container as she basically threw them on the table and left. We looked at our bills and they were wrong. Went to go in to clear up the bill and pay and the waitress was just coming out the door. we asked her if we pay inside and she stated “well that’s not how it usually works but you can “ and she walked away. Honestly have never seen staff treat customers so rudely ever and than expect a tip ! P.S we did tip even though it was definitely not earned !! We would never recommend this restaurant on the service alone.

Wrong order taken (if you don't understand tourists, repeat the order), no apologies, no discounts offered, watered down cocktails, greasy food.

My family and I had a fun breakfast with perfect weather and the most congenial server called Zoe. She really went the extra mile to accommodate some gluten free members of my family and make us feel welcome. The lobster fries were to die for! It was a lovely time and I hope to return soon!

My friends and I visited this restaurant on vacation and it was amazing! The food was so good and our server Zoe was so sweet and personable. The drinks she recommended were on point and she even took extra time to tell us a little more about the area as it was our first time visiting! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.
