Coolest candy store I’ve ever been in! It’s about 600sq ft and its floor to ceiling with candy, ice cream, bottles of soda, etc. loved it! We all got ice cream and it was delicious. Will go back for sure!!

It was nice being served by a FRIENDLY staff member who actually seems like they enjoy their job. Very hard to get that these days unfortunately. Ice cream was yummy!

We were staying in this area and wanted to come look around. This place is so amazing. It has more candy than I have ever seen in my life! The service was amazing! I will definitely be coming here again.

I enjoyed seeing the nostalgic candy. I had some delicious praline pecan ice cream and I was able to sit outside and enjoy it.

This has been a family favorite of ours for YEARS! This is always on our list of stops to make when we visit Treasure Island. There’s usually a line out the door. But the service is quick! They also have every kind of vintage candy you can think of.

A place that is definitely worth visiting

My only regret is that there are no sugar-free options for sweets and ice cream.

There was essentially one employee working and two other employees doing next to nothing. A line out the door, very limited standing room and only a few parking spaces, food is mediocre, and service is not a priority. Incredibly slow and inefficient. I can see how it would be a cute and historical gem for Gulf Port, but for those of us with no emotional attachment, it’s not going to meet our expectations.

A must visit old fashioned ice cream and candy store. Candy from the 60’s and 70’s era. Delicious ice cream too. Matt, the owner, is usually behind the counter offering friendly service.

Love love this place!!! Homemade ice cream is addictive!!! The staff is great and the atmosphere is a friendlier version of what you would expect on the beach!!!

Not our first time to Candy Kitchen… not our last either! Always fun to stop in for a generous sized cone. Delicious, fresh mint chip ice cream and cool root beer floats are our favs! Service with a smile…and old school candy choices top off this fun spot! It’s a must!

Hello? Candy and ice cream. How can you possibly go wrong? We've been going here for years every time we're in town...now that we live local, we go out of our way to get ice cream here instead of anywhere else because it really is the best!

Went to this location twice during our vacation to the area. What a great little place! There is a lot packed into a small space. The homemade ice cream was delicious! Very creamy and loaded with ingredients and the serving sizes are huge!! The candy selection is very nostalgic as well as having bulk candies in plastic containers. My husband and I found so many candies from our childhood and bought most of them!!if you like taffy the “fill your own bag” selection was large and the taffy delicious! Had to go back for more! Highly recommend for both ice cream and other sweet treats.

Had a kiddie cup of butter pecan. Hubby had a cookies and cream milkshake. Was good. Very convenient. A lot of novelty games and sweets.

Overrated candy store. Overpriced. The line is always out the door because the inside of store is so small that only a handful of people can fit inside, no other reason. Avoid if you’re on a budget.

INCREDIBLE ICE CREAM! This place had a line out the door after 10pm (and they were supposed to close at 10) so that just tells you how good it is. They didn’t close the doors at 10 though thank god because we really wanted to try the ice cream. The place needs more help though because it was a Saturday and only one person was doing the ice cream, we felt so bad and he was so nice!!! Definitely recommend!

Amazing atmosphere, even better ice cream - dare I say the BEST ice cream we had anywhere at Madeira Beach or Treasure Island, don’t bother going anywhere else if you’re after great ice cream!

The Candy Kitchen is a must stop for anyone with a sweet tooth. It’s a whole experience that’s perfect for families and kids! Expect to find every kind of confection imaginable - ice cream, cans of soda, old fashioned candy and suckers, candy bins for bulk candy, mechanical toys with candy, bottled sodas, fresh fudge, sundaes, malts, shakes, floats, pop rocks, cotton candy, big bags of candy, candy bars, banana splits, taffy… if it’s sweet, it’s probably here. My husband tried to order two different kinds of fudge, but it was Saturday and both were sold out. I got the ice cream on a waffle cone and both the Pistachio and Coconut ice creams were dreamy! The parking lot is small and the lines are often long because it’s a very small room, but every available space is filled with sugar filled treats and is a popular place for both tourists and locals!

I can't say much cause I only want to look I always go to John's Pass for my candy and things along those lines

Charm overload in this vintage 1950s homemade ice cream/fudge shop with a nice selection of novelty candies from when I was a kid in the 70s to current trendy finds plus a wide variety of gourmet sodas! Sweetest service ever this morning! And my Black Raspberry Ice Cream was WORTHY!! A total "must experience!" Every kids dream shop young and old alike!

I expected the ice cream to be a premium quality product. It tasted about the same as supermarket bargain brands. The price was high compared to what I received. I thought that they would have more of the old time candies similar to what you find at a Cracker Barrel store. They just had the current stuff. The service was excellent. The store itself was pretty small inside. They had some picnic tables outside and they were very clean. If you don't mind the crowds at John's Pass, you can find better quality ice cream at similar prices there.

This place is filled with items from long ago. It was great seeing treats from my childhood. The ice-cream is amazing but get there before 6 pm or you will wait in line which wraps around the corner!

Asked for sprinkle gummy bears was given this instead. Tipped 3 dollars the girl in front of me was allowed to use the restroom she gave the employee attitude we were nice and tipped and they wouldn't let my girlfriend use the bathroom.. the young man working last night before closing on Sept 28 was nice the girl was not she told the young man to not let us use the restroom but she directly engaged with previous customers who gave her a hard time and she let them use the restroom. She also gave us 5 dollars worth of the wrong candy so out of the 30 dollars we spend 1 third of it was wasted on candy we didn't want and a tip that wasn't deserved. I'm a 38 year st pete native. I don't appreciate these out of town employees bringing their bad vices and vibes to the city of st pete keep it beautiful and keep ugly ppl out

This is a second location in the area. This location is a bit smaller, but has all the goodies you'll need while on vacation. I only stopped by here once since we were staying nearer to the other location, but we liked the first one so much we had to check this one out as well. So come try this place out and if you like it be sure to check out the other location just north as well. Both will be a great experience. They have great ice cream choices I got the the salt water taffy as well, but they have all kinds of candy from every decade going way back. I love this place. I can't wait to come back for more.

Absolutely stop here. The fudge and ice cream is some of the best in the area. It's a small hole in the wall kinda place, but those are usually the best. Lots of old and unique candy too. You can travel back in time. I was impressed by the prices since everything near the beach is over-priced. Not here.

This place is what my childhood dreams were made of...had to come here everytime we came to Florida.

It's changed over the years. Used to be you had room to breathe now you can't change your mind, it's so cramped. Six people inside, and nobody could move!! I'm not certain I'll go back to this location!!

Great place for fudge and assorted old fashion candy. They also have ice cream that looked good. I bought a fudge sampler box for my SIL and she said it was delicious and she's a bit of a fudge connoisseur. Also got a pack of Teaberry gum which always reminds me of my great Aunt.

A cute little ice cream shop in the middle of Madeira Beach. There is room for just a few customers at a time so the lineup often stretches down Gulf Blvd. However, the ice cream is delicious, the portions are huge and the selection of candies, toffee, etc., is extraordinary. There is also seating outside for you to enjoy your treats!!

The best place in Tampa for vintage candy and amazing ice cream and homemade fudge. You have to wait in line to get in they only allow so many people into the store, IT'S VERY SMALL, but you get to meet some very nice people from all over as you wait your turn
