Probably the best ice cream I've ever had. The onyx chocolate ice cream is 10/10, so smooth and flavorful without being overwhelmingly rich.

Love the quality product and happy to support local business. Always come for some yummy ice cream whenever we vacay in the area.

The best ice cream my husband and I have ever tasted! Homemade ice cream in many enticing flavors. Hubby had the Irish cream, which was as scrumptious as my mint chocolate chip. We’re so happy to discover this shop and can’t wait to return!

great icecream when they are open …. we try to come and there hours are never correct on google, past couple of times we have tried they were closed before the posted closing time and we have been trying to come for past couple of months since the first time we did come

My family has been going to Haze since they opened their original location almost 10 years ago! Their regular ice cream is incredible, but what really makes them stand out from other ice cream shops are both the dairy-free options and 21+ options they have!

Today I discovered the delightful, delicious and down right great Haze. They make their own ice cream with a rich variety of flavors appealing to kids and more refined palettes. There are always at least four varieties of vegan ice cream. I had the excellent mint chip on a simple cone and it was some of the best vegan ice cream I have tried. My sister-in-law sampled the Kahlua infused ice cream and was a happy woman. There is easy parking and a very lovely staff which make Haze even better. The homage to the 70's is whimsical and pleasant.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! This is the BEST ice cream place we tried while down at the beach. They offer unique flavors, and the ice cream tastes incredible. We tried the brown sugar sour cream flavor, and it was soooo good! Definitely try this place—it's worth every penny. We were so caught up in enjoying the ice cream that we forgot to take a picture because my whole family was too busy eating!

Ice cream was great customer service was not. Arrived at 9:30 and they closed at 10pm. They had already shut down the seating inside. I asked if I could turn the chairs over they said no because they had to clean up. We ate outside in front of the building. They shut all the lights off outside while we were eating at 9:45. Place looked fully shut down by 9:50. My family including children literally ate our $40 ice cream in the dark out front. Ice cream was good but this is bad business. They wanted wheels rolling at closing, that’s not the food industry.

Best ice cream I’ve ever had! We stopped here on an evening in June on vacation. I had the brown sugar sour cream ice cream and son and husband had the death by chocolate. They were all incredible! Will definitely get back there again when we’re in the area.

Stopped at Haze Ice Cream for an evening treat while in the area. Very good selection but no butter pecan 😕. Which seems unusual since it’s a staple in ice cream shops. Very nice employees!

Strip mall place, ice cream was just ok and a bit too dense, homemade which I like, but just nothing special. Wasn't feeling the vibe of the place, owner was ok. I wanted it to be 4.7, but it's not.

I'm posting a new review today. Your Google page has the hours posted today until 10pm. We came to the store just after 9 tonight. Not only is your business closed, the entire plaza looks dark and deserted. We drove 20 minutes to get here with out of town guests. Such a disappointment. M

Great flavor 😋, we had the cookies and cream, salted caramel with bourbon ( sooooo good), salted caramel, coconut, coffee, cookie dough, all were delicious! Service was kind, setting is a little stip of shops with limited parking. I will return and recommend Haze Ice Cream .

A great spot for your ice cream cravings at the beach. They make the flavors themselves and serve fair portions. The interior/exterior is a bit jarring, but anywhere with good eats and a spot to sit is top tier for this snack category. Don't sleep on some of the more wild options - you can always ask for a sample!

Here’s why: Hidden Ice Creams: As soon as I walked in, I noticed something odd—the lack of visible ice cream displays. There were no colorful tubs, no enticing flavors beckoning me. Instead, it felt like a secret club where only the initiated knew what was available. Seriously, how hard is it to showcase your ice creams? It’s like they’re playing hide-and-seek with their flavors. Price Shock: Brace yourself before you ask for the price. I inquired about a simple scoop of vanilla, and the cashier nonchalantly dropped the bomb: “That’ll be $6 “ Yes, you read that right— 6 dollars for a single scoop! I could practically hear my wallet weeping. I mean, is this ice cream made of gold dust? I’ve had more affordable spa treatments. Taste Disappointment: After shelling out my life savings for a scoop, I eagerly took a bite. And guess what? It tasted… mediocre. Not mind-blowing, not life-changing—just plain average. I’ve had better ice cream from the freezer aisle at my local grocery store. For that price, I expected fireworks in my mouth, not a damp sparkler. In summary, this Ice cream shop needs a reality check. If you’re charging astronomical prices, at least have the decency to display your ice creams and provide clear information. As for me, I’ll stick to the neighborhood gelato stand—where the flavors are visible, the prices are reasonable, and the staff doesn’t act like they’re guarding the Crown Jewels. Avoid this place unless you’re feeling masochistic or have money to burn. 🍦💸

They have the best Sugar Cream Ice Cream I've ever had in my life! I'd trade a good date for a gallon of this ice cream. It's that good! I'm from Ohio and make sure to visit several times when here on vacation.

I had the dairy free coconut cream OMG, the best I have EVER tasted. The service was amazing and friendly and the ice cream WOW! My partner had the salted beach which is the 21+ and greatly enjoy it. Will be back!

Best ice cream on the beach not many flavors and they keep all the ice creams covered so you can’t see them but guess it’s to keep it fresh. The only complaint we have is they don’t offer many toppings and very many flavor but what they do have is awesome

They have so many dairy free options!!! Several sizes to choose from as well. The Harry Potter Christmas themed decor is so cute too!

Was excited to visit due to the dairy free options mentioned on their website. All of the dairy free ice creams were coconut based, which is fine if you like coconut. Their service felt unnecessarily rushed. There was only one couple behind us yet multiple employees kept rushing us along. Wouldn't visit again.

Update: this was the 3rd time we came during regular biz hours and you were closed. Most businesses stay open during their posted hours. You close because whenever you want. People need to know your hours posted here may or may not be correct. I literally had 10 people with me and we drove 2 cars over to your store. I’ll never do it again. Used to be great, now they are never open- we’ve gone over 3 times during “open” hours and they are closed. I don’t know how they stay in business. 6 o’clock on a Friday night- closed. We used to always take our out of towners- Don’t bother.

The best ice cream in Pinellas!! We found it back in 2018 and have been loyal customers ever since! Try their Oreo, Reeces, or Sea Salt Carmel! You won’t be disappointed. They also have a variety of dairy free flavors and even alcoholic flavors as well!

In a basic little strip near the Mad Beach Triangle on Gulf Blvd, this little gem is an oasis from the brutal Florida sun. Stop into this hippie cow themed ice cream shop for homemade flavors including an interesting Brown Sugar Sour Cream that pairs awesomely with a shot of espresso poured over called affogato. You can get it in multiple sizes and cone options. They also have a handful of dairy free options, and some 21+ flavors that have alcohol like Kahlua. For those with gluten issues, the labels clearly indicate if it contains it. There is indoor seating available. Small amount of parking out front.

Best ice cream I’ve had in years

My family and I were here earlier today and I ordered their butter pecan ice cream, which I came to find out was really just their vanilla ice cream with pecans mixed in. If you want quality ice cream that’s the real deal, go anywhere but here. I then asked the lady to switch it out to coconut ice cream, and it was the same thing; vanilla with sweetened coconut flakes throughout. Additionally, the flakes were not even toasted. That’s false advertisement in my opinion! Butter pecan is supposed to have a rich nutty flavor and have a light caramel color that resembles the first stages of a roux. That’s probably why they keep the lids on all of their ice cream tubs on. If the lids are on, people can’t see the color of the ice cream before they purchase it. That’s just bad business in my opinion. Side note, I threw both in the trash because I just couldn’t eat either one. Sad for an ice cream shop by the beach.

The best ice cream we have ever had, natural ingredients. We look forward to going there whenever we are in the area. We have not been here in a few years and they had moved, but we found them. My all-time favorite is the "Brown Sugar Sour Cream". An everyday outing!

Had the Kahlua and almond on the waffle cone and the Irish cream and death by chocolate cup in the big daddy bowl and it was all amazing!

This place has ice cream for everyone. Dairy free, gluten free, traditional and over twenty one with alcohol. I had the dairy free option. It was delicious! Coconut milk based, smooth, creamy, and extremely flavorful. I had a coconut and chocolate that were amazing. The rest of my group had traditional and gluten free(because they wanted to try the flavor.) Only positive comments were heard. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We will be back!

The Black Onyx Chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream I have ever tasted! All made at the store. Reasonable prices. They have dairy free as well. This is a one of a kind ice cream shop. If you like ice cream, you have to try it. We will back.

Incredible Vegan ice cream! We tried the Onyx dark chocolate, the coconut and strawberry. Amazing. Their sugar cone and cake cones are vegan too. They use a separate scoop for the vegan ice cream. The waffle cone had dairy so we didn’t take it. It’s too bad, cause it’s easy to make them without cow’s milk. Great experience overall though!

I’m very picky about my ice-cream. Haven’t found any ice-cream shop around that has met my expectations (I’ve tried several on our trips down here to Indian Rocks and Reddington). That is until Haze was discovered. Yuuuuum! Their Oreo is out of this world. Full of Oreos and flavor. I’ve been binging on it all week! Definitely a gem among the rubble.

Disappointed after seeing some pretty good reviews and after seeing some of the more interesting flavors options. The flavors were covered so you couldn't visualize them beforehand. My main complaint though was the texture/consistency. The flavors were all so over-frozen it seemed difficult for the girl to scoop it, and to go along with it one flavor I got was definitely stage I freezer burn.

Hours posted on the door and online not accurate. We came at 9:10 PM after our family dinner to get dessert. Hours said they were open until 10:00 PM

Fantastic! We have been to other shops and this one we love. We miss it being across the street but we still love your ice cream and shakes. We were sad to see you closed last night but will be back before the week is out.

Most of the flavors were plain ice cream with mix ins. Ie Banana was just plain ice cream with banana chunks; Peanut butter cup the same. Was expecting more. Kandy Kitchen was better. Can’t sample flavors because of Covid Protocols.

Happened to find this shop while visiting Madeira Beach on vacation. Only downside - I wish I would've found it sooner! I was able to go a few times before they closed for a week for family matters. I'm glad this local shop puts family first! Not sure if I'll ever be back in town but if I do I can't wait to get the Luck of the Irish again! So delicious! 🍦

Amazing Ice cream. We always pick up a few pints for our stay

This place seems very popular, with many people coming in. There were no places to sit, though. If I remember well, there are only two big tables inside. What threw me off a bit is that you cannot see the ice-cream, they all have lids. There must be a reason for that, but it makes it difficult to choose and I did not feel comfortable asking to see specific flavors. They also don't let you try any flavors, which made me especially uncomfortable. If you can get passed that, their ice-cream is delicious, creamy and flavorfull.

Me and my wife travel from Indiana to Reddington Shores yearly and this is one of our must stops!!!! This is one of those special ice cream venues that is unique and has wonderful service!! They fill they're ice cream with all the candy, cookies, etc... and not leaving you wanting more! Thank you Haze Ice Cream and look forward to next time!

Good ice cream,been enjoying the quality ice cream for years. But my last visit on the new location was kind of disappointing, the coconut cream flavor used to have lots of coconut shavings but never noticed any last time. Also no keylime cake flavor at the time. The parking was all taken by the people going to some low end bar next door that made unsafe to park while we were the only one in the ice cream place. Hope this was just a bad occasion and looking forward to have a different experience next time.

We stopped by Haze tonight while visiting from WI and are wishing we would've found this gem earlier in our vacation. They have lots of labeled gluten free ice cream flavors and gluten free sugar cones! They also have dairy and nut free flavors in separate coolers to avoid cross contamination. Very allergy friendly :) We were pleasantly surprised to find boozy adult ice cream, too! The staff was great and prices are fair. We will definitely return next time we're in the area!

Don’t bother spending the time and money to visit this place. The ladies working don’t really care about the customers in line. Can’t believe it takes 5 ladies to serve 2 customers. Very bad first experience.
