Very good place, delicious food and very cool and friendly waitresses. I recommend them.

Food, service, and atmosphere was terrible. $80 for cafeteria food. Will not recommend or revisit. Will stick with Salsas in Palencia.

Wonderful taco salad, Taco Tuesday 🌮s and guacamole dip. I ordered a take-out and the food was prepared when I got there so that it would be at its freshest (we live about 20-25 minutes away). It took less than 5 minutes to have it ready. Very thoughtful service!

OMG! The tacos are sooooo good. Love that they include the pepper and radish. It’s so authentic. I’m from LA so finding good tacos was very hard up until now. Will be returning!

This is my favorite Mexican food in St. John's. I had to leave for CA for two years and now that I am back that was the first place I had to go back too. It has amazing food no matter what you order

Chips were tiny broken pieces.. We ordered polo chicken,enchilada (veg option) &veg fajitas and food was very bland and service was worst, Its more like American fast food than authentic Mexican restaurant. We were 3 people and they gave us table for 2, no place to keep 3 plates together..& they have only black beans, and no options for rice, they served only White rice & no sour cream and the waiter didn't give us the options to choose the type of rice or spicy level.. altogether it was a worst experience for us.

Casa Maria offers a fantastic dining experience. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The food is authentic and flavorful, with generous portions. I loved the fresh guacamole and the perfectly cooked Carne Asada. Excellent service and a fun ambiance make it a top choice for Mexican cuisine. Highly recommended!

Heard about this place on Ladies of Nocatee and it was excellent. Didn’t have breakfast so went for a late lunch. They had lunch specials for $10.99 until 3PM, multiple lunch entrees that were huge!! Also, chips and salsa served to you complimentary. Great experience, will be back soon.

I read the recent reviews and can't believe it . I've been here four times since they reopened and it gets worse every time today I ordered three specialty tacos and honestly they were the worst tacos I've ever eaten in my life my Hawaiian taco the pork was black all the way through so hard you couldn't bite through it , the shrimp taco did they claim is mayport shrimp were cold but they seem more like the Frozen farm raised shrimp you buy in Walmart and the American Taco the ground beef was flavorless , I started coming into Casa Maria when they first opened here I don't know 15 or 20 years ago and it was always good then for some reason they closed down for about a year or more and since they've reopened the food has never been the same and it's worse every time I went in there , the last time I ate here I told myself I never come back but my grandson wanted to go get Mexican food so I thought I'd try one more time but honestly it's the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted it's a disgrace they should close their doors or get new managers and new cooks or buy their food somewhere else cuz it is absolutely terrible I read some of the reviews before I posted this one and I just can't believe them they must be posting reviews themselves I couldn't recommend this place to anyone I vote this place worst Mexican food in Jacksonville maybe Florida I've never tasted any Mexican food this bad in my whole life and I'm 57 years old and whenever you tell them their food is not good they act like they know it and you're preaching to the choir they must make all their money off of liquor from people going up there drinking alcohol cause the food totally sucks doesn't matter what I get it's going to suck . The rice and french fries and sweet tea were good but they're specialty tacos were terrible absolutely terrible I used to love this place before they closed down for a year or two but since they reopened it just gets worse and worse I'll never go back again . This is the honest post not like the other ones you're going to read they have to be lies posted by people that work there .

Great place! We come here a couple of times a month. Every time has been great. Food is always hot and delicious. Our server Ricky is always top notch. And don’t forget the 32 ounce Margarita’s! The whole crew does a great job with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

Never let me down, good food, good prices. Love their margaritas, and beer practically by the gallon. Great team and nice servers. I've been going here for 6 years and I have never had an issue with quality of food or portion size.

The food was terrible. I'm not sure how to mess up Mexican food, but this was by far the worst I've had in my life. Soggy chicken, lacking flavor and everything was so bland. The tacobirria was fatty pork and lacked much flavor at all. The dipping sauce was really bad also. The only positives I had were that the salsa was good and spicy, and the queso was pretty decent. We won't be back, that's for sure.

Good service but that shrimp and steak was overcooked in my taco but the steak nachos were good. Bryant was a great waiter.

Really delicious! We tried Casa Maria on a whim since it was not located far from our Church. We had a delicious meal on Saturday evening. Our waitress was a very sweet young lady with glasses who was a good sport and danced with one of the other customers who was feeling quite "cheerful" after a cocktail or two. :) It is a welcoming atmosphere - there were families there with kids. Salsa, chips, and guac were great. We loved our enchiladas supreme and will be back.

We have to have a Mexican restaurant that we frequent wherever we live. We spent a few years after moving to Jax trying different Mexican restaurants in the area and Casa Maria is by far, the best in Jacksonville. Guacamole, margaritas, the variety of tacos, and entrees, served by friendly, attentive staff in a fun atmosphere. Ricky, Jorge, along with the rest of the staff have become like family. Highly recommended to everyone.

Not sure what the raving reviews are for. We tried this place for dinner and were surprised by the food quality, service and then not billing us as per their current specials. We asked the server for some hot water with lemon due to one of our guests having a bad throat and was immediately refused. No attempt at all. It’s hard to believe a restaurant with a full bar does not have hot water. How do you boil your corn, rice and beans ? Oh wait, you don’t because the corn was frozen, beans were straight out of a can and the rice weren’t even cooked properly. Thankfully we placed a small order to check the quality before ordering dinner. I’ve had better guacamole at other places. The street tacos were however delicious. Moving to the drinks, we asked for one of the Moscow mules to be with less ice due to the same guest with a bad throat but the request wasn’t considered. Lastly comes the staff attitude, not sure what is there to gossip but clearly when we asked for hot water the server went up to the bar tender and started making fun of the request. We weren’t even billed as per the Wednesday Specials for Moscow mules being at 6.99 each. Might as well remove the specials in that case. Will not visit again.

Food is always great. Jorge and team always greets us with a smile and the best customer service. We have been going here for years and happy they reopened. We basically had all the servers — Rikki, Bryant, Karla, Sergio and they are always on point with everything. We eat here probably 2-3 times a week and never get tired of the food.
