Ryan and AJ are both Rockstars and our first experience was everything we have been hearing and more. I’ve been hearing the hype for years and finally made it over to see for myself. I will definitely add this to date night and we will be back soon. I wish I could give more stars.

Simple location, nothing fancy as far as decor but food was amazing and service was top notch.

So glad that we had a chance to eat dinner here while visiting Jacksonville. Catullo’s is a hidden gem. This is a great place for a relaxed meal with friends and/or family. The menu features a variety of classic Italian food but served in a different style. I had the pear fiocchi and it was just amazing. Highly recommended for anyone craving a delicious Italian food!!

My dinner came out to be 35.00 I tipped the waiter 10.00 That equals 45 55.61 cleared my bank! Someone gave themselves an extra 10 tipped!

The food is okay. I would call what we received a step mid-level chain quality, but not worth the wait or the hype. Bread was served cold, no oil or butter accompanied. Ravioli was decent, but the portion was small for the quality and fillings. Another in the party got the chicken pesto, which was bland tasting and overall not very inspiring. With proper reservations available or without a ridiculous wait time, I could give it another star, but as is I'd advise skipping it.

Everything was perfect. Loved the food. Loved the waiter’s service.

What a small, quaint and lovely place! The servers are so kind and friendly! Well worth the wait. My mother got the ravioli in blush sauce & I got the scallop risotto (beyond delicious with a little heat kick). Definitely on the list to go back to, next time we visit Jacksonville!

Coming from Chicago, I had big expectations and was not disappointed. We sat at the bar, such a great vibe and food was delicious.

I visited Catullo's this evening for dinner for the first time. My aunt and uncle had been talking it up for a long time so my husband and I finally went. OMG. Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal (literally). I had the Sunday Suppa and my husband had their pear fish (can't remember the name but it's one of their most popular...for good reason). We also had their fried green tomato appetizer special. I don't even like cannolis and I devoured theirs! The service was incredible. Although the food is elevated, it is not pretentious and neither is the atmosphere. It was homey and comfortable, especially because of the way the staff took care of us. This experience was completely top notch and I can't wait to go back.

Catullo's Italian was tremendous this evening. The food was right on time, meaning flawless, it was not too much and not too little in terms of flavor and preparation. I had a gluten free pasta that was hands the best I've had, a Rosato sauce that perfectly flavored. The salad to the desert was just right. I am living in Jacksonville temporarily while attending Mayo for Cancer. I was 40ibs under weight a month ago and have since been putting on weight. This meal was a perfect size for me as I eat a lot! I would recommend this to anyone who loves Italian. Keep in mind we had appetizers, salads, dessert, and entrees. That is why we spent so much but I did not feel it was over priced at all. Quality all the way!!!

Let me tell you, Catullo's just feels like family. We went for the first last evening and we're amazed! From the moment we sat down, Misty, our server, was so kind and extremely helpful, making us feel so welcomed. For apps we had the mozzeralla stick and the arancini. Both were hand breaded with the perfect amount of crispyness, paired with with an amazing marinara, these two apps are something I would order again and again. For dinner we got the chicken penne pasta and the pear fiocci. The chicken was so rich and creamy, I loved dunking my bread in the sauce. The pear fiocci was something that we went out on a limb to try but was well worth it. The pasta and the goat cheese literally melted in your mouth, while the pear and gorgonzala added an element of sweet and savory that really brought the dish together for such a unique taste. For dessert we got the lemoncello marscapone cake which was so light and airy and the special salted caramel cheesecake which was the best cheesecake we ever had. From start to finish this was such a pleasant experience, we will definitely be back! I'm praying one day y'all open up in Nassau County!

Delicious authentic Italian served with a smile. Congrats to 2 brothers opening a great restaurant! Be prepared to wait...full crowd on a Wed night & no reservations. Our favorites: Pear Fiochi, porcine tortellini & creamy chicken pesto. Fun cocktail menu made without hard liquor. Delicious Sangiovese! Pistachio ricotta cake and Lemoncello Marscapon cake are beyond delicious!

The food is fantastic here! I had the Creamy Chicken Pesto. The pasta was cooked wonderfully. My only regret is that they don’t take reservations. We’ll be back for sure.

Best Italian food in Jacksonville by far. As an itialian myself this place is very traditional and the food reminds me of my Nonna’s.

Friendly and attentive staff good atmosphere. I wasn't fond of the no hats policy but not a deal breaker. Kaitlin was awesome! Ask for recommendations she is an artist. Spiced Meatballs with Garlic Sauce. . . 0ur take on a more "exotic" meatball using spices from around the world, served over a roasted garlic cream sauce 10.9 7/10 good texture and flavor of the meatball. The Garlic sauce didn't really stand out. Overall it was OK. Not a strong craveability factor. Arancini. . . Our Calabrian chili and parmigiano risotto stuffed with tangy, fresh goat cheese, then hand rolled into " little oranges,"' breaded and fried, served over our marinara 11.9 5/10 it was OK the marinara sauce was pretty good. The balls itself were just meh. Could be crispier and they were kind of cold on the middle overall just a lukewarm dish. Suggestion: more seasoning crispier outside and hot melty inside. Ravioli. beautifiul, fresh egg pasta sheets, stuffed with ricotta, mascarpone, parmesen, Plump, and mozzarella, then served with your picl of our delicious sauces Marinara 17.9, Rosato 18.9, Alfredo 18.9, Catullo 18.9, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto 18.9 8/10 Added sausage. Daughter liked her dish including the sausage and did not feel it was mealy like my wife's dish. Light pillows of pasta with a good spicy version of the catullos sauce. Porcini Mushroom Tortelloni. .Porcini filled tortelloni with a beef broth & red wine reduction 20.9 7/10 Son on laws dish. I tasted it and it had a very beefy flavor with delicate tortelloni. To me this would have been a good appetizer in a smaller quantity rather than a full dish. I feel it was just an overall beef flavor with no acid to reset the palate from the richness. Sausage and Peppers. . . Sliced Catullo's Italian sausage, made locally by The Swinerie, sauteed together with green bell peppers, onions and marinara, then beautifully married with fresh egg garganelli pasta. If you like heat, ask your server to " Fra" it out! 21.9 5/10 extra spicy. Wife liked the dish's potential with the peppers and sauce. She did not like the sausage. It tasted mealy. I tried it and agreed that it was off. Wife had food poisoning symptoms later so maybe she got a bad link. Smoked Duck over Risotto Pan seared smoked duck breast over a creamy Calabrian chili risotto with roasted garlic, fresh tarragon and fontina creese folded in 35.9 9/10 superb dish. Smoky and cheesy risotto with a perfectly cooked duck breast with crispy skin. Must get special when it's available, but I heard it's only available twice a year. Complimentary bread. No butter or oil and vinegar to help. Would have preferred it.

Allie was an amazing server and killed it. She was so sweet and gave us such great service. It was my birthday and made sure we had a great time! Her service was excellent. Mark was also a very nice worker and made sure we were treated nicely. The food was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner.

Be prepared to wait. This place always has a line. But, it speaks to how good their food is.

This place for sure scratched the Italian food fix I needed! By far the best I’ve had in Jacksonville, which is LACKING in amazing Italian restaurants. Please open a location near Riverside! We got the pear foccihi, sausage and peppers, and the arancini. Flavors are great, seasoning on point, and great fresh pasta.

Very much a great surprise! Amazing ambiance. Dishes were amazing and prices very much reasonable! Does not have pizza if you were expecting pizza but the dishes are well put together.

This place is unobtrusively tucked away in a shopping center, and it's small but the food is impressive. We got in just ahead of the rush, and the place was packed, which reflects the food and service. Our server was knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had about the menu. I had the sausage and peppers, which was anything but basic with locally made sausage and wonderful flavor, and my date had the clams in white wine and garlic, which was excellent.

The food and service were amazing. The only negative was the taste of their water. We don't drink sparkling water, and most restaurants in Jax have chemically tasting water, which can usually be offset with lemon. Unfortunately, this was not the case. This WILL NOT prevent us from returning.

Very good food. There is a reason that folks line up to get in. I had the Fiocchi My wife had Garganelli. We sharred an order of Arancine. Both exceptional, but we both agreed the Fiocchi was better. And we sharred an order of Arancine which was also exceptional. Service was a little slow. Folks who came in after us got thier entrees served well before we got our Arancine appetizer. But the food is very good.

This is the best Italian I’ve had consistently and the absolute best service. There truly isn’t a better Italian restaurant from food to staff this place is fantastic!

What an amazing spot! Ryan was such an amazing server and took such great care of us as well as offering great recommendations on food! We live two hours away but they found themselves a new regular.

OMG.... wish we had an option of more stars.... I'd give them a 10*+ !!! Amazing staff, great comfortable atmosphere and the food is over-the-top delicious. Visiting with our kids, we have 3 of us having Birthdays in April.... sooooo, our Son said he's got the perfect Italian place to go. He was sooooo right !! Catullo's.... we sat at the bar.... Steve, our Bartender, greeted us with a great smile. Ran to get us some in-house made bread. Soft & delicious. Another Bartender, AJ arrived soon after and he gave us the lowdown of the wine selection. After a couple of tastings... we selected a bottle of Principi Di Butera Merlot. Then, we discussed the Sangria... so we ordered one of those too !! Refreshing, dry with just the right sweetness. Two of us ordered the pappardelle pasta with meatballs, one got their lasagna & and someone ordered the pappardelle with clams. The sauce is flavorful and you can also ask to have it a bit spicy!! I could eat the meatballs by themselves... they are that good. All the dishes were a good portion and absolutely full of flavor. We ended up taking half of the meatball pasta dish home.. for leftovers!!! Just as good the next day. The place got pretty busy and take outs were constantly heading out the door. Cool part.... We introduce ourselves when we arrived (since it was our Birthday celebration), and with ALL the patron activity throughout the evening , they called us by name to say goodbye as we left. We'd say, that was a nice, classy touch !!! Definitely a place to enjoy a flavorful meal. We promised to be back on our next visit to Jacksonville, FL !!

Fresh made pasta! Authentic Italian food with fresh pasta - what could be better? I've had several different dishes and every one has been cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is a little pricey, and you'll probably have to wait for a table, but SO worth it!

I want to clarify my 4 star rating: the food is 10/10 insanely delicious, the service was friendly, energetic and thoughtful. The only reason I did not rate 5/5 was the wait and the size of the place. Hardly any room when I was there and the wait was 45 minutes. However, it's worth every minute and any inconvenience of space! I ordered the pear and prosciutto ravioli....I can't, I just can't, it was so very delicious. I also ordered the classic chicken in white sauce pasta 😋 👌 😍. My attendant was helpful, attentive despite the cramped space. I had a wonderful time with my best friend, we caught up on our lives and enjoyed every bite. I've been to Catullo's more than once and I've always enjoyed it. Oh BTW they have first come first serve only, they do not accept reservations. On the bright side, lots of parking and the parking is FREE.

This is the kind of place that makes you forget that you're in Jacksonville...in the best way possible! Catullo's is unassuming on the outside, but as soon as you step foot in the door you know the pasta is gonna be amazing. The atmosphere reminds me of some small family places in Chicago or NYC. A few tables, bustling conversations, and always packed. Sitting at the bar is the most fun you're going to have anyway. The staff are engaging, funny, and give great recommendations. Their rotating pasta specials range from creative to regional Italian dishes I haven't seen stateside. Definitely keeping it interesting, and their staples are exceptional as well. I would say this is THE best pasta in Jax. If you're not feeling the dine-in I saw several people grabbing take out so don't sleep on this place!

This place is excellent! The servers were very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I had the Pear Fiocchi - they offered to make it spicy which I delightfully accepted! To say it was good is an understatement. We will definitely be back!

Small cozy restaurant with good eats and good service. We enjoyed all our food specially the shrimp rosata (we made it spicy and added pancetta per the server’s recommendation). The restaurant is small so there is a line that forms about 30 minutes prior to opening. If opening time is too early for your dinner, I recommend coming at least 1hr 15min after opening when some of the tables from the first round of diners begin to clear out.

The food was authentic, service was great, and if I closed my eyes, it felt like I was in Little Italy in Manhattan. Tasted like home. Limoncello cake was divine.

You shouldn't be in the "Hospitality Business" if hospitality isn't your passion. The Catullo Brothers, however, were apparently born for this! From receiving the hostess's friendly smile as we walked in, to Caitlyn's sincere "y'all come back soon" as we left, we felt at home and were doted on by family. Caitlyn, our waitress, knew the menu backwards and forwards and was not shy when we asked for advice. She recommended our appetizer and directed us in customizing our entrees and it could not have been more perfect! The atmosphere was fun and vibrant..basically it was authentically Italian! Glasses were filled before you could ask, dishes timely delivered and removed and every face defaulted to a sincere smile! Get dessert, too!

We chose Catullos for dinner to celebrate our 48th anniversary. We knew their would be a bit of a wait at dinnertime because the secret is out. This is a small restaurant but the food, service, and quaint atmosphere are top notch. Our wait to be seated was a little over 30 minutes on a Thursday evening and our waitress, Misty, was very friendly and efficient. AJ, as always, made sure to come to our table to ensure our satisfaction and needs were being met. He congratulated us and he has a very outgoing and friendly personality. He never meets a stranger. We chose the Porcini Mushroom Tortillon and the limoncello mascarpone cake for dessert and it was something that we can highly recommend. Their portions and preparation are consistently excellent. If you are looking for a small venue with authentic cuisine that is consistently very good, with a cozy atmosphere, I highly recommend that you give them a try.

It's very had to describe an experience like this without sounding like a broken record. From the moment you walk through the door the attention to detail shines bright like a diamond 💎. My sister flew in to surprise me for her birthday and I knew immediately where to take her. You know that feeling you get inside when you hype up your favorite restaurant and deep down your hoping to not experience an "off night" after all the build up ? Yeah I never have that feeling when I'm going to Catullos. The food always and I mean always speaks that certain love language that can't be described only tasted and experienced. Our server AJ seemed to know exactly what we wanted , exactly what was needed and honestly seemed as though he was a family member by the time we parted ways. A+ ,10/10 , 5 Stars however you want to rate it , this is how the hospitality industry is done. Thank you Catullos for a great night.

This is one of my daughter’s favorite restaurants. She asked to celebrate her birthday here and this would also be my first time dining at Catullo. Well I quickly learned why my daughter loves this place. From the moment we entered the restaurant I was absolutely amazed! We let the manager (maybe the owner) that we were celebrating a birthday. He went out of his way to ensure it was a special night to include a champagne toast with the staff! The service was outstanding! Along with that the food was outstanding! We all loved our dishes and even shared. Don’t be turned off at its location or the smaller size restaurant. If there is a wait……..then wait! I assure you will not be disappointed.

The attention to detail and their customer is obvious as soon as you walk through the door. As soon as we were seated, the amazing server immediately noticed that our table needed to be adjusted and it was done within minutes, seconds later the manager is making sure it was done. We ordered two appetizers, one of them was not what we expected, the server immediately returned them. The manager quickly came over and apologized, he had already taken them off the bill and surprised us "on the house" with two of the best meatballs we have ever had. My husband knew right then he had to come back for a huge bowl of the Sunday Suppa meatballs! The food was absolutely delicious, the treatment by the staff makes it taste even better. Highest Recommendation.

My girl and I love this place. The service is excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly staff topped with amazing food makes this place our go to spot.

I tried their pear fiocchi and the hubs tried the ravioli with the risato sauce, and man were they delicious 🤌🏼 The pastas were perfectly cooked and their sauces were good enough to make you want to lick the plate clean. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and seemed to know the menu very well. One gentleman even took the time to help with our kid’s humongous stroller which was so thoughtful and made us feel welcome. We look forward to going back and trying other menu items!

This is a great place for authentic Italian food. The food was well prepared. The restaurant was very crowded, yet the staff worked hard to to proved good service. Do not let the location fool you, this was excellent food. We found the food to a delicate flavor, and not heavy handed. you will need to plan you visit, since the wait times can be long. Still, they are worth it.! We look for to going back.

Great overall, not taking reservations means you’ll be waiting nearly an hour almost any night of the week. Arancini is too big, not hot in center and the goat cheese is overpowering, not recommended. Other than that, the place is great.

Have to say that this is one of the best places I have been to in quite a while! Not only is the food amazing but the service is first rate! If you have the opportunity to sit at the bar, you will be well taken care of by Steven and AJ - really enjoyed the experience!

I took my husband here for the first time and we arrived around an hour before close. There was no wait, and we enjoy eating at the bar, so we snagged two seats there. Every single server greeted us while we sat and looked over the menu. AJ, Steven and Ryan helped take care of us and were all so personable. Since I stalked the reviews before we went I decided to get the two most popular items and it was the best decision! Started off with the Arancini, which were phenomenal and had a great little kick to them. For dinner my husband, who’s a pretty picky eater, got the chicken pesto and is still talking about how it was the best pasta dish he’s ever had. I went based off reviews and so glad I did! I ordered the Pear Fiocchi and I’ve never had anything like it before. The pasta is perfection and the sauce was delicious. We will absolutely be back here. Fantastic food and 5 star service.

We have never experienced such impeccable service from any restaurant in our entire life. The team at Catulla’s works together as an intricate puzzle. It was amazing. The only minor complaint might be that we had the table right at the front door, so much activity and action there. Next time we will request a table further in the back. Service made up for location. Food was probably the best we’ve had barn on in a couple of years. Delicious.

Real authentic legit Italian in Jacksonville? Yep and it’s really, really good. We sat at the bar (reduced our wait time) and it didn’t disappoint because the bartender was also a great server. A must try, just be prepared to wait.

My top 2 Italian restaurant in Jax

5 stars is too few for this place. It really deserves much more credit! It honestly belongs on a Michelin star list. The food here is AMAZING! So many good menu options to choose from and service is impeccable. One word of advice, get here by 4:30 or 5:00 pm or after the first rush around 7:00pm to minimize your wait to be seated. The place is small and fills up fast. There will be a line out the door, so be patient and grab a drink from the bar to sip while you wait.

Coming from someone who is a bartender in the restaurant industry, I was so appreciative for what they do here. The staff is incredibly hospitable with exceptional attention to detail. The food is fresh & outstanding. Experience it for yourself. Thank you for providing an amazing dining experience in JAX, you’re one of the few places still doing it right. Brought my mom here for her birthday. Service was excellent, and the food was phenomenal! Hands down best Italian I've had in Jacksonville! Highly recommend!

Soo delicious. Four of us arrived at five o'clock for a birthday celebration. We each had a different entree, and each one of us raved that the food was incredible.
