Food was delicious! Always down for a chori-queso and their salsa was impressive! Definitely order a big daddy taco. And the guava margarita is my new favorite. Nico is a great server, so attentive and great with conversation! I’ll definitely return to this establishment. 10/10.

Coming from san diego ca so it very HARD to find good mexican food. This place was the best i could find in jacksonville hands down. Even was able to have the chef make carne asada fries!! So bomb good drinks friendly service. First place i’ve came back for seconds

We were undecided what to have for dinner and received a publication with a few coupons and made the decision to try Champions Mexican Restaurant. As a picky first time visitor I must say the portions were plentiful, the staff outgoing and friendly, but the cherry on the sundae was our server Emilio. He was all over the place and never skipped a beat. Always keeping an eye on his tables and checking in with us to ensure we were doing OK. As a Customer Service Manager I appreciated his overall customer service skills. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants near our house, but Champions will be our go to Mexican restaurant going forward.

That chimichanga was one of the best I’ve had! We sat outside and felt like we were in Mexico! Delicious and excellent service!

I went to eat there around 4pm. Most people there were sitting at the bar. The tacos were delicious. Unfortunately, I only got two little containers with salsa. I hate this option. Most of the time, it is never enough salsa, and I don't like waiting for more salsa.

Food was delicious & atmosphere was also great. Salsa tasted fresh & the Mexican tacos were some of the best we've had in Jax. Service was friendly & attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Omg. If was my birthday...they were awsome..food...drinks and atmosphere!! They sing to em happy birthday...they made sure I drank all my liqour.

What a cool place this place is. Great location and we love all the sports memorabilia. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and our service was very quick and efficient. The place was very clean. Lots of choices to choose from on the menu. We will definitely be back. I recommend this business.

Favorite neighborhood sports bar!!!!

For those fantasy football enthusiasts, Champions is hosting fantasy football draft parties and offering food and drink specials. Oh and they also have a daily happy hour now from 3-6pm. Its our local hangout…just really good people and food, plenty of tv’s, and they just replaced all their hard bench seats with more comfortable padded benches.

I Love, Love, Love this place! My favorite is the shrimp tacos because they are seasoned to perfection. The salsa and guacamole are fantastic and essential to me at any Mexican restaurant. The chicken wings are even good. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered and will recommend it!

The wife and I work over in this part of town every week and when we do, our time over there is not complete unless we stop by Champion's for a bite to eat. Their salsa is homemade, and it alone is worth 5 stars! It's the best I've ever tasted, we even buy some if we are going straight home. It keeps for several days in the refrigerator. The portions are generous, and the food is awesome. The Chimichanga is a meal best split with your dining partner if appropriate, if not, be prepared to be stuffed afterwards. Great atmosphere and we have always had great service there. They have a covered outside dining, which is great, a nice breeze, and sitting at the end of the shopping center, you don't have a lot of noise, it's just so pleasant.

The food is absolutely to go for. Not the first time I've been. First time. I sat outside and it was amazing. When I came back, one of the staff members remembered us. Kinda cool. We had the pleasure of being served by Nico this time. He knows how to hold a conversation and will give you great life tips. Definitely one of my favorite places right now. Thanks a lot!

The highlight of my visit was being served by the owner herself at the bar. She is Puerto Rican from Caguas and brought such a warm, personal touch to the service. The food was simply amazing—each dish was bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Mexico. The drinks were outstanding, perfectly crafted and incredibly refreshing. Every aspect of the service was top-notch, deserving of five stars. Great service, amazing authentic food

There's a lot of Mexican restaurants in Jax, but this might be the best one! Very tasty and authentic food, good prices, friendly service and plenty of TVs to watch the big game. So glad they're not too far from where I live! I highly recommend checking out Champion's.

The Food was Amazing! Service Amazing! Fresh homemade chips with salsa and soon you sit down. We went really late and the took care off us really good!

I am from Texas and have visited the Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach. They were all good but Champions food was more like my mothers that the others. Waiters were very friendly and helpfull. Great place to eat👍👍👍

The food here is well portioned and delicious with authentic recipes. I found the fusion tasteful and easily pakatable. I would recommend Champions anytime for fun,sports,beers and siciability.

We stopped in for an app and some margaritas. The bartender was very sweet and attentive! The nachos were delicious but the house margarita was nothing to rave about. Would definitely stop by again.

Always a great time at Champions. Love the quesadillas and they always have ice cold beers. The wait staff is so nice and make sure you have everything you need.

The food is good, though it's quite Americanized, which is understandable. The service is decent, and the drinks are okay.

First time here & I loved it! The staff is friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable about their menu! Great sports bar atmosphere with a nice choice between bar foods & Mexican cuisine. The alcoholic beverages are pretty good too! I came here for Taco Tuesday specials & the price is affordable for tacos & drinks both under $6.00. I loved the spice in the Salsas & the food was seasoned well. Great taste! The only reason I didn't give an overall 5-star rating is because the chips were not great, they were just ok, a little on the hard side but the salsa & guacamole were both so fresh & had great flavoring that I didn't think about the chips not being as great. Also I haven't had a chance to try more foods so once I do that I'll update my rating if need be! Otherwise great restaurant, great atmosphere, and great service! I will be back!

The evening started out great. We were greeted and seated and ordered drinks. A few minutes later we ordered food. Then, we waited and waited and watched others get their orders. We finally received our orders about an hour after being seated. Twice before that, waiters came to ask us what we ordered. Once we got the food, we were on our own. The food was okay, but my California burrito had no guacamole and since no one came back to check on us, I went without it. After we finished our meal, I eventually stood up and waved at our waiter to get the check. We left feeling like we were taken. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Pulled Pork Street Tacos are unbelievable!!! The Chorizo Quesedilla is out of this world. Margarita is the way to go. Ask for Nico as your server. It’s like you always knew him. Our overall experience here far exceeded expectations. Sit in the outside covered patio if it’s not too hot. If you have Fido with you be assured pups are allowed on the patio. Can’t go wrong here.

This place is amazing, 10/10. We sat outside during the sunset and really enjoyed the atmosphere, cute lighting and hilarious sign that says something like “tacos do the booty good.” We ordered the queso and esquite as appetizers and they were delicious, generous servings. We tried one of their quesadillas, the 3 Mexican street tacos, and a few of their original tacos, all perfection and mouth watering flavor. We also tried their margaritas and loved the guava one. (They even do “SuperBowl” sized margs, a great option to share or enjoy alone). The Al Pastor was delicious, juicy, tender, flavorful, you HAVE to try it. They even have a vegan taco and other options that do not have meat. Nico was our server and he was outstanding, great customer service, he made us feel like we were good friends! He was accommodating and hilarious, we will always ask for him when we come back.

Salsas were absolutely delicious. The chips rather Bland and stale. Quesadilla was fantastic, chicken Chori was tender and delicious tacos were so so, Birria was excellent.

By far the best Mexican restaurant in the area and that I’ve ever had! I’ve tasted nothing bad on the menu. My husband and I are hooked. Service is always impeccable. THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! You will not regret it.

The chicken wasn't freshfajgi It tasted like and looked.like.it was a left over from the day before. The server asked if I would like a chicken fajita. Therefore she knew it was old.

Nice restaurant delivering great Mexican food. I tried a lot of different margaritas and the champions and organic margaritas were the best. The salsa was awesome, had a perfect kick. Menu had a good selection and everything was good, but the champions fajitas(pic) were amazing.

We have visited Champions twice now. Both times the food was very good and the portions were large. Our last visit Nico was our server and he was on point and friend. Food wise, the queso great, chori pollo delish, pork tips (I forget the menu name) all so good. The kids meals were a good size too. I tried the jalapeño marg (it was to spicy for my liking) and I’ve tried the guava it was pretty good and not overly sweet. Can’t wait to go again and trying something new.

Very kind and friendly staff. The food was really good and my guava margaritas is excellent (get tajin on the rim!) Churros were the best I've had in a while and the outdoor patio has a great vibe! We will be back!

Nicko was the BEST. THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME! My husband and I went for Sunday lunch. Let me tell you the place was amazing. Very Beautiful inside and out. The staff was so professional and pleasant! It’s not just a Mexican Restaurant but a sports bar with all types off food. (Very very good) The food was wonderful my only warning if you get the Margaritas have someone to drive you home!!! They are the bomb!! We will definitely be back. Great place with Great a GEEAT STAFF!!!!

We stopped by on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was bright and the decor was a fun twist on a sports theme. The service was excellent and the server made great recommendations and was supportive of our customizations. The steak enchilada with white cheese sauce, smothered in peppers and onions was a home run!

Beautiful Spring Saturday on the patio...peaceful and comfortable. Greeted immediately, seated promptly and the menu is great. Chips were perfect and salsa was spicy. I ordered a special dish and it was perfect!! This was my first time but I am coming back with my friends. Thanks!!

I've been wanting to try this place and I'm so glad we finally made it. Service was super friendly but not overbearing. I opted for the Mexican Burrito because the internet said it's National Burrito Day. I upgraded to the steak and let me tell you, that's the best burrito I've had. It was beyond flavorful! The espresso martini was the perfect after-dinner treat. They see me again STAT!

I want to start by saying that on any given day I actually (due to a childhood experience) despise Mexican food, so I was dragged out to Champions against my will. HOWEVER, this place has made me a believer again. The food and drinks were phenomenal, I actually ate something at a Mexican place and loved it and want to willingly come back. The vibe is laidback, there are huge screens everywhere to watch your big game. The outdoor patio is nice too. Our server was so attentive, excellent service.

Yummy food and great atmosphere

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Their food is awesome, very flavorable. Add that to the off the charts service, I refuse to go anywhere else for Mexican cuisine. I eat there at least 2 times a week. My drink is never empty. There is always bubbling laughter and great music. It is always meticulously clean. With mouth watering aromas to tantalize your appetite. You have got to try it.

Champion’s quickly established itself as my go to restaurant in the area. The staff is super friendly, personable, and respectful. Whether I’m just popping in for a quick drink or a full meal, it’s always a great experience so I’ll continue coming back. It’s been great to witness their well-deserved boom!

After pickleball on Sunday, we ran over to Champions to have lunch. We had beer and tacos and chips, salsa, and queso, and had an excellent meal with excellent service. Glad we stopped here, it was an excellent lunch!

Amazing, the melody of flavor that radiates from this perfectly grilled chicken, you can absolutely tell there was no shortcuts taken on their choice of chicken to cook for their customers and the amazing talent of whomever perfectly prepared this food! I had the chimichanga but with grilled chicken. The chips came out very warm, the salsa has a nice subtle but flavorful kick to it, and I absolutely loved all of the food, as mentioned, great quality food, ingredients and seasoning. I will be bringing my wife here and other family and friends! To the chef, thank you for satisfying my taste and stomach.

This is my second time coming here and the food is absolutely amazing ! Also, the staff is super attentive and great. Btw, we ordered the steak tacos Mexican style, firecracker shrimp tacos, and the steak and shrimp quesadilla 👌🏾 chefs kiss y’all fr ! For selfish reasons I want this place to stay lowkey lol but they honestly deserve all the service and praise they can get !

Firecracker Shrimp taco 10 out of 10 Hamburger 20 out of ten!!! So delicious! All the staff are so welcoming and hospitable! I highly recommend this place! They aim to please!

Prices are very high for what you get. They are still asking $17 for 10 wings when all the places I’m going have wings back down to almost pre Covid prices again. For example Big Crab has during happy hour 10/$10 winds. Cliffs on Monday has $8.50 for 10 wings. Whisky Jax is doing $13.99 all the time and has the best wings in town. Champions wings are not very good and that is just an example of some of the over priced items. Beer prices are higher than most and mixed drinks are very high. They wonder why they have no business

Came in for first time and asked for a drink the Bartender afraid said I will see if I can prepare it because it’s a lot of lemon juice. Owner came after that and said they could not prepare this drink. I order a miller light with salt rim and enough lemon juice this was it. Owner was talking load and being rude because of this. I could have paid for the extra lemon juice just wanted a beer with extra lemon juice. For me there will be no next visit, awful service!!!!

Champions is a great Mexican restaurant! The food is authentic, delicious and satisfying. I loved the grilled steak and the shrimp. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant. The bar is vibrant and fun. Champions is the place for Mexican food around here.

My husband and I happened to read a review a couple of months ago and decided to try it out. We were so happy we did because the food, service and atmosphere are SO good! We’ve returned 4 times since and each experience was just as good. We highly recommend Champions for their delicious Mexican food and drinks!

I've been to all the best Mexican restaurants in town, and the carnitas tacos i had today were in the top 5 in jax, better then a lot of some of the big boys in town.

This place is awesome. It has a great sports vibe and their food is on point. The outside patio is very nice and there's t.v's everywhere. As far as the food goes, I ordered the taco salad and my wife ordered the pic 3 and a birria taco. It was absolutely amazing. This is the 5th time we have been here and the only down side that we noticed is they give a very small amount of rice. Not a big deal unless you are a rice lover. Other than that we don't have a complaint and we say give this place a try!
