Lunch is great here. Burgers are delicious. The fried chicken is exceptionally delicious, always crisp and juicy. Great chicken. Their fish fry on Wed and Fri nights is great as well. The Hungryman Lake Perch is awesome.

Club 81 Too has always been on my list of local food to try, and today I decided to treat my benefactors to a meal. Considering I'm a practicing Catholic and it being Lent, I opted for non-meat options. Myself and one of my guests ordered the shrimp while my other guest got the Basa. We were recommended the green beans and got those as well. I will say the food is delicious. The fried greenbeans had a lot of flavor as did the shrimp. The fries were typical frozen fries so nothing special. The waitress was very nice and the owner was also present and helped people when needed. The dining room leaves a lot to be desired in terms of aesthetic and was a bit cramped. My one issue is that nowhere on the menu nor were we told that gratuity would be included in the bill.

Awesome Chicken, great Bartenders & Waitress

On October 20th 2023 at 5pm, my friends and I (9 of us in total) went to Club 81 Too hoping to have a nice dinner. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined by the abhorrent treatment and service we experienced. As soon as we walked in we felt an air of unfriendliness by the owner and server. We were immediately seated near the drafty door. When we asked if we could be moved to somewhere less chilly, both the owner and the server shouted "No!" At us, and explained that there were no other available tables. I looked around and saw there were only 2 small tables taken, each by couples. There definitely was room for us to be seated somewhere else. There was no reason for them to not accommodate this reasonable request. When it was time for us to order, we asked for 8 orders of fried mushrooms. The waitress came back with only 4 orders of mushrooms, only then explaining to us there were "no more mushrooms." Why weren't we told there weren't enough beforehand to give us a chance to order something else? So I politely asked the waitress if we could have a discount on the mushrooms seeing as we had to share 4 orders among the 8 of us who wanted them. She sternly said "no" and "we don't do that." When the rest of our food came, we were in utter shock at its subpar quality. The chicken was over cooked, dark brown and very dry. The skin of the fish was visible through the skimpy layer of breading. Nothing tasted like it had any seasoning, spices or even salt. Our sodas and cocktails were mixed up, and I was reprimanded like a child for sharing my soda - which I was paying for! The owners of this place nor any of the staff ever came by to apologize for all of the inconveniences and blatant rudeness and disrespect we experienced, unlike how kindly they treated the other 2 couples who came in after us. Worst of all, as we were leaving and the owner got her money she screamed at the top of her lungs to demand we get out of her establishment and never come back. Why? We caused no trouble. We are just a group of senior citizen lady friends who enjoy going out to eat and happen to be of different races and colors. We can only conclude that the abusive treatment we experienced was because most of us are Black or brown. So here's a word of warning to all non-white persons if you ever consider going there: DON'T. Unless you want to face an abundance of hate, discrimination, awful service, and food from the bottom of the barrel. And a word to the belligerent owner: money will always be green no matter who gives it. By screaming at us to leave, all you did was make a big fool of yourself in front of the few customers besides us who were in your restaurant. You could have saved your breathe because halfway through that awful "dinner" we had decided it wasn't worth ever coming back anyway. Finally, a word to the bimbo waitress: had you and that cruel owner been nicer you could have gotten a huge tip instead of the leftover change from our overpriced bill. Enjoy the 53¢ when you could have received the $50+ we initially intended to leave for you. Let this be a lesson to you that how you treat people has consequences.

The fish and the chicken are worth the trip from St. John. It’s a chilled place and the staff are great! It feels like you’re sitting at home enjoying a great meal.

Horrible. They offered a special to UAW workers a couple of weeks ago. A lot of my coworkers went and the Chicken was burnt. I mean burnt so bad you could smell it. When asked to speak to a manager, was told he was gone for the day, but you could hear him in the background. Shame on you!! Never again!

The food is great and reasonably priced not to mention generous portions! Chicken and fish are the specialties but one time I had the world's most mythical pork chop sandwich! All in all great atmosphere you can't go wrong with the food great price point as well. I wholeheartedly recommend you try it!

I've always been a regular here over the years and always have received great food and service! Tonight I was craving fried chicken where they have it on Wednesday's specials!! The chicken dinner was beyond phenomenal and the perfect seasoning on the breading was a meal itself! All their fish and shrimp are just as great! See you again soon! Thanks Club 81 staff!!

If I could give zero Stars I would , This place went downhill in the last few years I was scammed by two different bartenders last year and said I wouldn't go back well they had the best chicken around so I had to go back because I was craving it, the order was wrong the chicken was cooked in some nasty old oil and what's the worst chicken I ever had I would not recommend this place to anyone save your money you're better off at KFC

My first time here. Wonderful interior, lively atmosphere but most importantly the food was outstanding! I loved the chicken. My fried had perch and shrimp 🍤.... Wonderful! Will come back soon again!

This place was introduced to my from a coworker and glad it was. We went for dinner on Friday night my wife and daughter had fried chicken and it was super hot and super delicious, I had the lake perch and walleye which was some of the best I've ever eaten. Everything is homage and made to order comes out piping hot. If you never been here try it out family owned for over 70 years I'm pretty sure that what they said. Oh and try the horseradish homemade and deliciously spicy. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Chicago’s Best rated their fried chicken #1 in Chicago. Everything on the menu is delicious, plentiful and all reasonably priced. On a recent visit I decided to give the full rack of ribs a try. The ribs are smoked on the premises. Boy were they delicious, with a perfect amount of bbq sauce they were falling off the bones tender and accompanied by my favorite crinkle cut french fries cooked to a crispy perfection, creamy cottage cheese, house made coleslaw and a roll with butter. My husband was impressed by the huge hand packed freshly ground hamburger on a kaiser roll served with all his favorite toppings - lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions - coleslaw and those amazing french fries. I look forward to trying something else from their extensive seafood menu on my next visit. It is a terrific family owned neighborhood find. If you are in the area be sure to give it a try.

Went to celebrate mom's 92nd birthday. Mom loves frog legs and they had them here. Also, on or around your birthday you get your age as a percent off your meal. Mom got the Hungryman Frog Legs. Cost was $1.50, My brother and his wife got Fried chicken. My daughter had lake perch which see loved and crab cakes, which she didn't,My wife had the Orange Roughy and I had the Hungryman Walleye(since we were saving on mom's meal. They start you with bread, butter, & beets. Each meal comes with cottage cheese,cole slaw and radishes. These are all staples for a fish fry in Chicago. Club 81 Too only serves dinner on Wednesday & Friday. We used to go the there original restaurant on 81st and Exchange. Me and dad would go in for beef sandwiches on Saturday afternoons when mom had to work. This is where I was introduced to their horseradish sauce. But, i digress. The food is very good and the service is good. Will defenitely be back soon, maybe for lunch.

Stopped in shortly after 11:00am Friday 9/21/18, bar was already crowded but the dining room was empty. Promptly seated by a courteous hostess/bartender, who was followed a few minutes later by the server. Ordered a burger with everything. The toppings are all served on the side, so you don't have to eat what you don't want. Nice touch. This way you don't have to go thru a recital of the ingredients you don't want. Burger was served with a generous helping of fries and coleslaw. In and out within 25 minutes and the bill was only $7.60! You can't beat that! They also accept credit cards, which is a plus. Many small independents don't. I don't get down to Hegewisch very often, but I would definitely stop in again if I were to be in this neighborhood again.

My two sons, their girlfriends, my husband and I had such a wonderful dinner and a great experience here. My husband and I have been going there forever. We actually got engaged in the parking lot. Great food and a real neighborhood place. They have been in business for a really long time and it’s because they do it right!

This place is a bit of yesterday that reminds me of my childhood. Hidden gem in a quiet nieghborhood with great people and food that is amazing. Keep up the great job!!!!!

Club 81 Too owned by the Dombrowski family is the place to go for fresh fish, seafood, chicken and steak--all cooked to order. Dining room is separate from the bar and there may a wait--but it is worth it. Fish is fried to a T, fine texture fresh as can be. Same with the chicken (way different breading from the fish of course! and the steaks are prime. Price is moderate. Call ahead to see if they are busy when you want to go and ask for any specials they may be having. You won't be disappointed!

This restaurant is a gem! We had the 4 piece fried chicken. It was so moist with a light crust that didn't taste greasy. Coleslaw, cottage cheese, fries, and a marbled bread slice accompanied the chicken. It was all so delicious. We saw a cheeseburger come out for another customer that looked wonderful. The owner told us that everything is made fresh. When you place your order, that's when the patty is made or the coating is put on the chicken. There are many other choices on the menu such as ribs and various fish from catfish to walleye to mahi-mahi. They are open for lunch from 11:00 to 2:00 and only serve dinner on Wednesdays and Fridays. The restaurant is hidden in a neighborhood and has been there since 1945 when the present owner's father started the business. I think anything on the menu would be delicious and it's well worth following Google Maps to find this gem!

This restaurant and bar serves everyday lunch, and dinners on Wednesday and Friday. You definitely have to come for dinner. The fried chicken is great and the lake perch, shrimp, walleye and catfish are some of the best. The service is great. The owners, the Dombrowski family make you feel like part of their family.

Fried Heaven, when you have a taste for fried chicken look no further. nothing to look at, but you are there for the food. Take your lipator and head here. Good cold cheap beer. Locals love it. Why go to a chain when you can come here for fresh fried Clucker!!

Just flawless!!! We had the fried chicken and seafood platter, which included perch, shrimp, and whiting. The fried chicken was very moist and the breading wasn't overpowering or greasy at all. Some of the best I'd had in awhile. The seafood; just flawless. Can't really explain it. It dissolved in your mouth as if it were chocolate. Excellent service, our waitresses were very lovely. Although the atmosphere was a little dingy, it really didn't bother us because we were enjoying our food; OH SO VERY MUCH!!!

This is a family owned and run establishment that serves delicious fish, shrimp and other goodies. The shrimp is lightly batterred and very tasty. The perch is some of the best around. Our favorite, though, is the walleye. YUM. They cater to families and especially children. THe owner walks around among the tables, telling jokes, making sure everything is to your liking.
