They suck, didn’t get my order r I get one bit

Delicious BBQ. LOVE THE HUSHPUPPIES.

As a manager of the food service Industry of 20 years, I have to say this place hits all the marks!! Gordon Ramsey would be proud! CLEAN Fast Friendly Fresh! Like, actually fresh Affordable! Double cheese burger, cheese bites, fries, and an amazing milk shake just $10.99! I myself have never run such a successful restaurant. I am impressed and humbled. Great job to the staff and management team. You guys are truly the best of the best. Every single one of you deserve a raise just for being elites in your field.

Check your to-go orders before you leave. Ask for double fries and constantly receive a single order in the trays. Very disappointed that this is a constant issue with this particular store. Addendum: Once again this Cookout has failed to provied even mediocre quality. The fries were cold as well as the burger. I do not recommend wasting your money here, especially since there are better places close by.

Great value for the money. Couldn't get any worker to come out from the back to take my order so got back in my vehicle and went to the drive thru then went back inside to eat my order

Good food and fast service. My milkshake was so thick I couldn't get it through the straw and it was still good after 20 min drive home

I ate there three times and wasnt happy with it at all .The burgers was way over cooked and dry all three times I've been there.

Need to do better with putting food in bags. Food is always messed up. Coleslaw in the cup is ALWAYS on it's side & juice runs out. So, my trips hv gotten fewer.

Just went here and ordered food and we tried to get milkshakes with our order and the red hair girl working said ‘no, we too busy’ with no one there. So I guess they don’t like making money.

Everyone always has a great attitude and is super nice. Came across Frank the other day and he was great!

This cookout also has in store seating. The Drive through service was prompt. The food was tasty as all Cook Outs are. I have visited Cook Outs in many cities/a few states and always happy.

I will no longer waste my money at this location. Origionally, I was really impressed with this companys presentation of Christian values. The service that I recieved last night was bitter, hateful and in no way professional - why? I have no idea what that person was going through but taking it out on someone just trying to get dinner is not ok. I refuse to ever pay someone to treat me badly and I will never accept that behavior!

Great shakes but food was cold.

Food awful service wasn't good she walked way while placing order someone else had to come do her job because saying add onion confused her and she walked away.

This was my second time to this restaurant and unfortunately both times have been messed up. And the young lady who took my order got confused when I said add onion and walked off. The young man came over to do her job he was polite and understood add onion. However I ordered 3 meals all the same and all 3 were wrong. The box was melted. Just awful.

Quick service and the food was good.

Shakes and burgers are the best

We try to pick-up there 1-2 times a week, It was great the first time a year ago. Since then there has always been something off, like onions when asked for no onions, or no fries (bacon wrap instead), or enough sauce for 12 sandwiches on 1 sandwich. We are 3 seniors who enjoy a little cookout once in a while. But really, this time, the order was 3 Double cheese with no onions, fries, and Bacon Wrap. We got no fries, not a single one in 3 trays of food. That's it, Done with Cookout.

Good fast food at a reasonable price, and we will return.

first off i thought the one who rang us up was rude and the food was DISGUSTING. they need a lot of work on being polite for a work environment. i’m not sure what there name was but this was the worst experience i’ve ever had.

Small portion of food, wrong food given, window worker acted as if she couldn’t hear the order that was given clearly 4 times. Watched them give the wrong food to the person in front of us then handed what i think was the same bag of food to us. Young girl with a smart attitude. Will not be back. When trying to say the order was messed up she closed the window and clearly heard me speaking.

This was my 3rd time eating here but my 1st going inside. The food is good, hardy and filling. And the restaurant was clean and cozy with kind of a western, rustic feel. I only would have liked to have not eaten out of a bag since my friend and I were dining in. Other than that very satisfactory.

How are you going to completely forget someone’s order. There was four of us and three ppl got their orders. It’s not like there’s many ppl rolling through. It’s Staunton, Va on a Saturday night. I was literally the one that brought us over you idiots.

Cajun 🍟 fries, barbecue and corn dogs

The cashier Destiny was very friendly but the food was wrong on both meals it was cold and buns were shoggy

Cook out food is good, but their fries are meh. I order Cajun fries because the Cajun fries are actually pretty good, even though they’re still soggy. These were my Cajun fries yesterday, and this is what my Cajun fries look like pretty much every time I get them. A couple fries get the Cajun spice and the rest are left normal. I want all of my fries covered, not just a few. I don’t pay for Cajun to not get Cajun. If this was something that happened occasionally it wouldn’t be a problem, but this is pretty much every single time and I rarely get a good coating. ETA that their fries continue to come out soggy with non existent Cajun seasoning. If I wanted regular fries I’d order that.

Fast food restaurant so obviously nothing fancy. The staff was friendly, the food was good and the prices were better than some places of a similar standing

Tyshaun is a fantastic worker with a great attitude. I’ve came in multiple times and had a great experience with Tyshaun at the drive through and inside. He is so welcoming and positive and has great customer service.

The best place for late night cheap eats!!! And the service is always great!!!

Love my cook out BBQ sandwich is not hitting tho

Ordered Cajun chicken sandwich, fries, blueberry cheesecake shake. Sandwich was tasty, shake was delicious, fries were actually potatoes with little bits of potato skin on them (not from deep fried potato paste like other places) and they were super hot with just the right amount of salt. Great meal and very fast friendly service.

Love the Christian music with words. That chicken place does not do that. Love Bible verse on the cups and bags. Keep it up and don't go woke.

If you go here check all your food before you pull out.. every time I go here literally every single time my food is wrong. Today I was happy thinking it was finally right for a change.. I got home and my bacon ranch wrap had a chicken tender in it instead of the bacon.. I’m usually not even a complaining kind of person but come on man. Really?

Fast and cheap great milkshakes

I went to the drive thur 10:50pm 3/12/2023 in Waynesboro va to order $14 worth of items I hand the worker my card she didn't hand it back to me and I didn’t notice because she give me my food instead. the next morning I received notifications that charges were being made on my card at 7-11 and Kings Market . I knew instantly the woman working at the window didn’t return my card on purpose. I then go to 7-11 and ask to see there cameras. It was a woman with brownish blonde hair using my card at the gas pump. I’m sure she have done it before and never got caught until now.

This place is a 10/10! The staff knows our order late nights, we go so often due to nothing being late night anymore 🙃 foods great, hot, fresh, staffs 💯 friendly and fast. Hot food and cheap food!

It's been awhile since I've eaten at cookout and it's not the same! Jalapeno cheese fries were decent and hushpuppies were good but the burgers have fallen off a cliff!!! Ordered a double burger cheddar style and it was absolutely disgusting, bun and toppings were ok but the burgers were frozen shoe leather!!! Won't eat here ever again since they decided to be cheap and use frozen patties vs the fresh that they use to use.

Extremely slow service do not be in a hurry if you go there. That being said the food wasn't bad

After asking for barbecue sauce both at the ordering screen and at the window the employees still lack the ability to put it into the bag.

First time here. Menu is a bit tricky but the cashier was more than helpful. I got spicy chicken tenders and fries with Cole slaw. For was reasonable for fast food and price was average

I love their food. But sometimes it's just thrown together, so when you open it to eat, everything is falling off.

Very disappointed. Not only was our hush puppies burnt, we sent them back and they brought us more burnt hush puppies. Oh, yeah... This is what you get when you order a double burger.

This was one of the worst experiences in my life at a restaurant. The "walking taco" was basically what people call a "swoll" (which is jail terminology) and was priced at $3,. The BBQ was the dryest I've ever had and was decently priced. I would give my experience a hand's down.

Cook Out is awesome. They have really cost effective, tasty food. My favorite milkshake combo (you can combine ANY flavor) is: Hershey Chocolate, Chocolate Malt, Hot Fudge, Chocolate Chips, and Walnuts. It’s awesome, sooooo much chocolate 🍫 I love the corn dogs, cajun fries, and hush puppies. It’s really great whenever I go there, and the people that work there are awesome. Thanks for giving me a great experience!

The Cookout Trays are amazing and cheap. So much food selection and to get a milkshake along with it, top notch. I love their cheese bites, you might say I have an addiction.

Inexpensive food nothing special about it. However I ordered a hamburger and paid extra for jalapeno peppers. What I got was bell peppers when I questioned the manager he swore up and down that they were jalapenos but I have been eating jalapenos and bell peppers for over 50 years and I know the difference. We wanted to give this place a try, and Im sad to say I wish we didnt! Im not one to leave bad reviews, butttt! The hotdog tasted like industrial cleaner, the dog was burnt and the bun was crusty old! The person taken the order I think was having a bad day, along with the rest of the staff! I think the company should hand out snickers to their workers before they start their shifts! I mean, I dont expect balloons and confetti when I pull up to the window, but at least a hello how are you today, your welcome...something!! Definitely will not be returning to this establishment!

Love it there ice cream and fries are amazing

Person taking my order just now was very rude and even said that she hates when people do bigger orders and the other lady told he to keep it down. Customers could hear her. She said it even louder and said that she didn’t care. I’ll find another place to spend my money.

This location is always very clean with a friendly staff. The food is also consistently good while also being made very quickly. Update 3 years later - My experience has not changed over the years, and always enjoy stopping in here. My most recent visit, the napkins were handed to me first which was different, however it was raining, so this made it convenient to dry the inside of the door. Something small, but didn't go unnoticed.

The quesadillas were greasy, so I stopped getting those and switched to their mid-tier but not bad chicken tenders. Fries and cheese bites are to die for, and the most consistent food there. The sweet tea always tastes very sweet, and I love that, but the one time I got a milkshake, there was a hair in it that I ended up accidentally slurping up through the straw. That was disgusting. So, three stars for good tea, cheese bites, and fries to combat the gross milkshakes and mid-tier food. Also, the cashiers make the shakes without hairnets, so that might be why I got a hair in mine.

Had to pay extra to get a half slice of tomato that is the thickness of my napkin! The lettuce looked like it had gone bad last week! The burgers looked like beef jerky! Talked this restaurant chain up to my wife wife cause I have eaten at them out of the area with some of the freshest ingredients for hamburgers I have ever had, but I guess COVID scared yall out of serving good, quality food with good service like it has done to so many other big chains! And watched the guy at front counter go outside and smoke a cigarette while he was playing on his phone right in front of door customers walk in; and then walk back to kitchen area without even thinking of washing his hands or using hand sanitizer!

I don’t ever complain, but this place is ridiculous and I know you can’t expect much from places like this, but seriously if you don’t like your job simply quit and get out of food service. A time before I’ve gotten the cheddar style chicken sandwich and onions are okay but they put scoops and I didn’t realize so was aware to ask for no onions this time and did, and get home and there’s scoops of onions again and the receipt on my tray even said no onions & they charged me for a water that I didn’t even ask for. 👎🏻

Thank goodness, can get hotdogs with chili, slaw and onions. (Its easier to get sushi in Va. Or snails)They only know mustard and pickle relish, maybe onion. Their slaw is sooooo good. BBQ is ok....I like babyray style personaly. Hush puppoes...great too. I'm just starting; working my way thru menu. Yet to try milkshakes. I'm so happy happy happy they are here in town. So needed here. Wish they had an in town delivery with a small fee $$ of A few bucks. Would be sooooo great. There are many seniors here that would benefit. **** Restuarant.....note to you...keep it up and don't do what rest of them do and leave stuff out of an order. BAD !! That's a biggie !! LOVE IT SO FAR.

Hot, fresh food and great service!

The menu was a little confusing for me as it was my first time but the gentleman working helped me and was very nice. I enjoyed the food and milkshake. I plan to be back . It's very clean inside too.

One is still a higher rating then I would like to give. This place lost all aspects of customer service and the food industry. The best thing that could happen to waynesboro is for them to leave the location and allow another restaurant to take its place that will actually serve its customers.

Cookouts food taste delicious. Tends to be s little on the expensive side of the bill.
