The inside is super cute! I do wish the portions were more though.

The service was top tier and food was prepared to perfection each course from the appetizer to the main. Also drinks were delicious as well. I highly recommend this place and plan to return again someday

Great place to eat! We got there right as they were switching to dinner from lunch. They let us order off of both! Very good food!

Went this past Saturday for dinner with my daughter. From the good reviews overall, we expected a tremendous dinner. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We got there at 5:30 so were ahead of dinner rush and the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, but overall the service was slow. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and main dishes (and eventually dessert). Took a while to get the drinks, but they were good. Salads came with our entrees and we ate those, then the main dishes showed up. During our main course, a server walked up with our appetizer and said, "we're confused, did you order this?" (Not a good opening line for a server...). We didn't need the appetizer at that point so turned it down. The steak that was part of our main dish was cooked way past well done and we'd ordered them medium. Sent those back and they returned cook properly, but the menu listed it as tenderloin with gnocchi and while the overall dish was very tasty, the beef had to have been strip steak at best; very tough even at medium. We did order the tiramisu for dessert and it was excellent. We'll probably give this restaurant another try because the ambiance is great and it seems like the overall experience should be very good (you'd think so from some other reviews). Maybe it was just an "off" night for them, but the staff needs work on keeping up with orders (drinks and food), pushing them out in a timely fashion, properly prepared food, etc.

Ahi tuna tasted like it was spoiled - I didn’t eat most of it. I have it all the time and this is the worst I’ve ever had. Salad was supposed to come with honey mustard. It came with a white dressing that tasted like ranch. Server insisted it was honey mustard… it was not. Waitress eventually came back came back and asked if everything was ok. I said no. She then asked if I just wanted the check. I won’t be back.

They wouldn't even take our group of 9 people. They had several tables open. The hostess was very rude. So we took our business to the Green Leaf Grill. They had excellent food, and service. Our money was good there.

Hostess was rude! Had a large party she said she couldn't get us in. There were 10 empty tables in the front section of the restaurant and several more in the back. Our money wasn't welcome there. Went up the street to a sweet little place called Green Leaf Grill. This place was great! The food, service and drinks were great! So if you're in the mood for a good atmosphere and great food you need to eat at Green Leaf Grill!

I got their salad with nuts and cranberries several times.When I got this in house it was much better than take out,very small and missing ingredients when take out.For $14 not a very good deal for a small container of mostly lettuce!I mentioned this and never received a call back or acknowledgement.At times their food is good ,but very inconsistent in its preparation.

Amazing place to take your girl out to eat. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Also they have brunch on weekends and it’s great.

Excellent service and the decor of the restaurant is really nice too. Food was just ok. Not bad but nothing special. We had the rack of lamb , seared tuna and steak.

Went here on the recommendation from another owner of a restaurant that is closed for the week. Did not disappoint. The rib eye was tender and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. The potato could have used a little help but was not a show stopper. The salad was amazing. The atmosphere has a trendy feel but was still very casual.

Meh. Trio Dip… pesto was amazing with the warm pita. Lamb with Risotto… risotto absolutely disgusting.(if you as a server know that’s not every cooks string point then you should have recommendations…missed opportunity ) Lamb tasted old. Ordered dessert. Never offered coffee or any other beverage…Missed opportunity. Hell any attempt at good service or attempt at appearing to care, would’ve been appreciated. Guess it’ll be another 6 months till my next visit again…. Maybe

I mostly visit on a monthly basis for networking purposes in the bar area. But I have eaten here with the family as well. The food is generally excellent for the price point. Probably about the closest Waynesboro has to fine dining, without a truly fine dining price tag. They make good cocktails, have a good selection on draft, and have I decent wine selection. *Update* Went here with the family for Father's Day. Kids had a good ol' time. Just want to add that the steak gnocchi is dope.

Food was mediocre and not cooked properly. My wife and I were told the turkey burger should have pink on the inside.

We came here on a recommendation for their steaks but the server indicated that steaks were served only after 4. Fortunately, their brunch menu includes a steak option because their steak is fabulous melt in your mouth good. The atmosphere was great, similar to a high class sports bar with a couple of tvs sitting over the full bar. It stays fairly busy so service can be a bit slow, or it was at least on the day that we came out to visit. We did have to flag a couple of times to get attention, but again, could have been the day. The food is outstanding and we enjoyed the outing.

Today we celebrated our 54th anniversary at the Heritage at lunchtime. Service, food everything was just amazing! What a special place to celebrate!

Owners have a habit of not paying staff on time, sometimes not at all.

We had an enjoyable dinner here and our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and area He was very attentive and the prices are quite reasonable. Definitely recommend!

Best steak ever. All food was perfectly cooked and amazing. Atmosphere was dimish but perfect place for a special occasion or anytime. Menus change per meal time.

Unless you particularly enjoy the rudeness of a first impression, the recommendation is to wait it out until the host has found herself out of the establishment. We arrived at the hostess stand waited a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us, and when we were greeted, we were asked abruptly if we had a reservation. We did not. We actually stumbled upon the place, and thought it fit the occasion for us. This was an ordinary Saturday, the restaurant didn’t appear to be that busy and servers were everywhere so when we were TOLD to go sit on the couch and wait, we did. We looked at the menu, watched several people leave, watched people come in without a reservation and get seated, and then watched the hostess and a server mock someone as they were leaving. This is when we got up and left. No scene, no one cared, we just left and went down the street to another establishment that seemingly enjoyed having us there.

We did a staff party here and it was amazing!! Staff was very nice, and the food was great!! Make this place your next date night!

Met a girlfriend here today for Brunch. I can not put into words how amazing the staff, food and atmosphere of this place! Our waitress Corral was so beautiful & sweet and provided great recommendations. Make a reservation now.

Up scale class type eatery. They are reasonably priced along with good quality food, service, and alcohol.

My mom and I shared lunch . We had the rueben sandwich and a sprite 😋. TV and light music playing in the background.

There is a server at this restaurant, think her name was Jane, or Jade maybe. Either way, she was the worst server we’ve had here. Very rude, inattentive, and snobby. We come here often and rarely have bad service, however this experience was so bad that I felt the need to leave a review and will likely not return. Not to mention while we were leaving, I heard some younger customers snickering saying that our server has a thing for underage children??? Super odd choice for an employee and makes me question the integrity of this establishment. Just a horrific experience all together, hopefully this place makes some changes or I definitely will not be back.

We did not have a reservation, so it was ok that took a little longer to get a table. The service was amazing. My reuben sandwich, was very good. Some of my other guests had various soups that were room temperature or cooler and lacked some flavor, hence the loss of 1 star. I would definitely return.

My husband and I had been here once before a few years back and were relatively underwhelmed with the place, but decided to give it another try recently. I am currently dairy free due to nursing and explained to my server that I can't have dairy without going into too much detail. We ordered their charcuterie board as an appetizer and the server was able to accommodate us by replacing the cheese options with additional meat. For $25, the board was pretty lackluster. It was filled with different variations of sliced ham for the meat that you would find at places like Aldi, some underripe strawberries, small pickles, blueberries, preserves, and candied pecans. Nothing special. I proceeded to order the lamb chops and requested to have the red potatoes with green beans since I couldn't have the risotto due to its dairy contents. I also ordered the french onion soup and the waitress assured me that it would just be served with bread on the side with no cheese. Of course, the soup comes out with a piece of bread covered in melted cheese dipped in the soup. The waitress takes it away and brings out a new one although I was certain it was the same original bowl of soup. When my lamb came out, the lamb chops were sitting on top of the risotto that I specifically did not order. The runner who brought out the food appeared frustrated that I did not want that and took it away. Within minutes, my entree came out with the correct sides, but again, fairly certain it was the same lamb chops that had already been in contact with the risotto. The lamb was cooked medium well to well done. I ate it because at that point I felt so terrible about sending yet another food item back, but I have never had lamb that wasn't cooked to medium rare. I am certain that my food contained dairy items because my baby did have reactions over the next few days that would be indicative of dairy exposure. If a patron tells you that they cannot have dairy, the restaurant should honor those wishes. Given yet another lackluster experience, we will not be back again.

We have visited heritage many times but the experience has never been as perfect as this time when Kevin, he served us with unique professionalism, you feel like you are in the most exclusive restaurant in the world, go there and ask for him to serve you!

Can't say enough about the chef prepared food delicious and atmosphere hosted by Coral for my husband's 50th bday party was tops!

If you happen to fall into this hole, just run away. The atmosphere is nice and the waiters are generally nice and make an effort, but the place is filthy and the food just doesn't reach the level of a military dining hall. Just shocking.

This place is fabulous. It is a great place to enjoy for bunch or a nice date.

HoM has been our go-to place for years now and I’m not kidding when I say it’s been excellent every single time. Brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, delivery/to-go… it’s all great. Even when we’re in the DC area (or other more “cosmopolitan” locales) we’ll plan to eat dinner here when we get back to Waynesboro rather than take advantage of the bigger city’s offerings.

I ordered for dash surf and turf plus shrimp. The steak was a perfect medium rare, well seasoned and tender. The shrimp perfectly cooked with seasons and a smokey finish. The lobster was cooked and sliced but a little mushy... either frozen or slightly undergone, I would have liked a little sore of butter to drunk it in. Overall a great meal and very easy to order, in detail, via doordash...

The place to go for Sunday brunch in Waynesboro. Doors do not open untill 11:00am, on the dot, so no need to arrive early...lol!

We’ve had this place once but we tried to go again a few nights ago and was told by the RUDE hostess “Oh you won’t be dinning with us since you didn’t make a reservation.” We’ve never made one before and was able to get seated. If you were truly that busy you could have chose your words better. We will not be going back due to the rude hostess.

My wife and I made reservations for Valentine’s Day over a week in advance. The hostess clearly sat too many walk ins throughout the night and is the sole reason for this poor review. Our reservations were for 7:30 and we were not brought to our table until 8:17. No apologies, no acknowledgment of the mistake or the inconvenience. Around 8:10 I asked the host if she knew what type of wait we should be expecting. Her response was incredibly short, rude and implied that we were in the wrong for asking about our table. I was perfectly nice to her and this was the first and only time I asked about our table, and it was 40 minutes after our reservation. We finally were brought to our table at 8:17, and we greeted by our server around 10 minutes after that. The server greeted and took orders for another table who sat after us before she made it to us. Once she made it our way she was a frantic mess, and her service was a joke. The food was fantastic. It came out quick, and was cooked perfectly. The food runners were very polite as well. The host needs to lose her attitude and probably just work somewhere else. She lacks the skills necessary for that job. A job that most restaurants have 17 years olds do. There was no manager in sight. This place would be greatly improved by some strong leadership. We will be back, because the food was great for Waynesboro. We will just try to avoid busy nights and times because the front of house clearly can not handle the pressure. Never actually ate there but have picked up to go orders and felt uneasy as the waitstaff aren't the friendliest to be honest..only ONE PERSON WAS HELPFUL, THE MANAGER!!

Heritage On Main Street was a nice restaurant, but it could have been better. We had reservations, although most tables were not being used. Gentleman looked up our reservation information and then asked us to have a seat because our table wasn't ready. We sat for several minutes, and then he escorted us to one of the empty tables. Our server was polite but not too informative. The meals were good, but we were expecting a little better. My chicken skillet was average. Would probably return to see if this was an off night.

so to begin with, I barely saw my server. it literally was a 2hr meal because of the waiting for our server to come around. I'd love to say she was busy, but I only saw her at one table, then never again. then the wings in their house sauce, had no sauce. the dry rub, barely any flavor, but cooked to perfection, juicy and fully cooked with some crispness. then I got the French onion with my meal, the soup was amazing. the bread and cheese were harder than a rock and burnt. the potatoes were under cooked.

Great food, drinks, and service! We sat at the bar area and were served by the bartender who was funny and attentive. We came during happy hour to share a few appetizers and enjoy some drinks. We got the trio of dips and a cheese plate. Both of those appetizers were plenty of food. The random standout star to both of those apps were the roasted, marinated tomatoes. They were so good when added to cheese or with pita chips and hummus! Can’t wait to come back and try a full dinner.

If you want to pay $27 for a hand full of beef tips for dinner. 11$ for 4 sips of wine. $10 for microwaved dry cake, salmon the size of a deck of cards for $17, and mussels for $16 that no one could eat, the go for dinner at the Heritage. Will never entertain guest there again!

All in all it was great! The bacon is so good. And most importantly I was full at the end

Very disappointing visit. The portion sizes of the soup and salad were very underwhelming. The size of the meal was small for the price paid. The size of the tiramisu was pitiful. It was a 2in by 2in square for $9. The price of my dish was one price on the menu ($18) but a different price on the ticket ($24) and when questioned nothing was adjusted, it was just a "price increase". This was a completely different visit than the last time I was there a few months ago and sadly tonights visit made not want to return.

I am a local baker, I recently delivered a Wedding cake here, of ALL the places I've ever delivered. This place sadly,had the rudest staff!

I love this place. Went back last night , it had been a couple of months. We were asked if i had a reservation. I did not. Wasn't too impressed with the guy up front seating us 🙄. We were instructed to sit on the sofa. no big deal. As soon as another party came in without a reservation, we were seated. Call and make a reservation before going. lobster was overcooked, but man, the lamb was awesome

My husband & I had been eyeing this place for quite some time. We finally took the time on a Friday evening while Xmas shopping. We are SO happy we came! The bartender Mercedes was super! She was professional, friendly & made fantastic drinks all while serving us with a smile! The appetizers were beautifully plated, delicious hummus & cheese plate. What a twist on the French onion soup, the melted cheese & baguette on the side? Absolutely loved it! The tuna was spectacular & the lobster ravioli was rich, creamy & to die for. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner date night or to showcase to visiting family and/or friends.

The best thing about this place is Matt. The food was strange and it is so very loud. Not romantic what so ever. The service was awesome, however, Matt was funny and kind. But it’s definitely northerner food. Sweet tea tasted like sugar water with lemon.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately and seated. Our waiter was friendly, never rushed us. Food was very good. Atmosphere was excellent. Relaxing background music, no TVs in the dining area, very nice decor. Prices were reasonable for the experience.

Fried oysters were salt bombs, the French onion soup was an odd deconstructed soup with cheese bread on the side. It was fine, but we all found it an odd way to serve it. The calamari appetizer was good. The lobster ravioli was the worst lobster I've ever had... Way overcooked. Someone else, in my party, got the lobster dish and had the same bad opinion. While I didn't get it, several people at the table had the steak; it looked good, properly cooked, and they all said they enjoyed. I just ordered poorly with the lobster.

Liked the place better when it was a dive... It's nice enough. I didn't eat this visit. The bar tender was a little slow, probably new to the place and new to the service industry..

Where to begin… After eyeballing Heritage on Main for several months, I finally made it in for dinner. The ambience, service, and food were absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to come back to work my way through the menu. I had the Buffalo Oyster entree salad and oh man, it’s truly an entree with huge portions! And, it was beautifully plated. The featured cocktail that evening was a S’mores martini garnished with a nicely toasted marshmallow. The drink itself was perfectly balanced. I wish I’d come in sooner but will definitely be back. Also, a shoutout to Coral who is an extremely helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and professional server!

Heritage on Main never disappoints! Whether we are popping in for a light lunch or celebrating our anniversary, the atmosphere is always complimentary to the event. The aesthetic is welcoming, elegant, and a little sultry; all while accomodating to families of small children (equipped with coloring pages and a full kids menu). The food and drinks are always delicious with a wide variety of options and price points to satisfy any customer. The hummus platter and chicken penne alla vodka are our favorites!

We informed the server that the steak was not cooked to the ordered temperature of med rare and it was brought back to the table minutes later even more charred than before as it was the same steak that was sent back that was over cooked!!! Smh and then for the manager to come to the table pinning the blame on the server as if she cooked the steak wrong… smh inexcusable! Jina our server was amazing she deserves a raise!!!

It was decent. Short staffed for sure but staff was friendly at least. Really really salty pasta to the point where it almost needed to be sent back. Salad wasnt anything particularly special. But a nicer atmosphere for Waynesboro restaurants.

Service was good, food kind of ok, tables had grease stains on them from the night before we were the first table seated that day. Was crumbs on the window seal. There were so many flies in there. Men's bathroom smelled horrible was urine all around the urinal. My friend told me the women's bathroom wasn't any better. Place could be amazing with it's location/design If a front of house manage is willing to let a place be like that...fire them immediately.

Mixed ages crowd. Staff knew a lot of regulars. The asian pear, strawberry, pecan, spinach salad with grilled chicken was amazing.

The menu listed online is not accurate. They do not serve burgers at dinner. Someone needs to work on the menu selections. I also saw a Cajun shrimp dinner listed that was no longer on the menu. We chose to eat here based on the online info, so needless to say we were disappointed immediately.

The food and service here is always on point. Always. Very kind and informed waitstaff. I had the salmon avocado sandwich and the roasted red peppers were amazingly fresh tasting, complimented with what I believe was some sort of lemon zest (or other citrusy flavor). I've had several entrees and have never been disappointed. The prices are very fair as well and the atmosphere is wonderful for dinner with friends and classy enough to impress a date.

Terrible experience. We were really excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews. Changing a shrimp Mac and cheese dish to be vegetarian cost me 8$ extra. The server didn’t warn us that the kitchen was super slow and didn’t really check on us for the 45 minutes that we waited for one very disappointing dish. I recommend saving your time and money and just ordering a pizza down the street.

I forgot to take pictures, but I'll definitely be back! My family and I went here last night. I had the John Wayne burger(sub BBQ sauce for mayo), and shared the Greek nachos and the whiskey cake. This might be the best burger I've ever had! Wow just great. The only complaint was it was like 80/85 degrees in the restaurant. We were all sweating the whole time. But, I'd go back and sweat for that burger! Damn good!

We found this place listed on the internet. So glad we stopped in, first for lunch, then a couple days later for dinner. The food was excellent and the wait staff did a great job. We were visiting in the area and would definitely go there again if we returned. Yes! Plan to dine here!

Nice location, remodeled nicely inside. The food was sub par for the price in my opinion, especially with the consideration of other dining options nearby. Our service was ok but I don't want to be too critical. It appears that there were two servers covering the majority of the dining area. It's a nice place and we do plan on returning.

Really great vibe/ambiance. We went for Sunday brunch and had a great time! The menu has nice variety and everything we tried was delicious. Some of the portions are a bit small, like the pound cake French toast only comes with one slice and no side, but it tastes amazing. The service was great, all the wait staff were very friendly. The food takes a little while to come when they're busy, but it's worth the wait.

Had dinner here with my wife and it was beyond our expectations! I had the Linguine Frutti di Mare and it was one of, if not the best seafood pasta dishes I have ever had. I would drive out of my way right now to go back for that same dish. The service was also great, and the atmosphere was really cool.

Looks like a high end joint but a dirt bag like me can enjoy a good lunch and tasty beverages

Good food, great dessert. I recommend getting the Shrimp Chorizo burger. The dessert I got was a cheesecake which was made in house at the restaurant. It’s delicious. Check out this place if you’re in the area.

Excellent food, some of which I haven't seen anywhere else. The steak and eggs and the cordon bleu and philly steaks were outstanding!! Fell across the place when we were going to do the Skyline Drive and we couldn't believe our luck! Hannah was an excellent server as well despite the place being busy. The atmosphere and music were also fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough!

There were 15 in our party and the staff did an excellent job taking care of us! There was a good variety of options on the menu and the food was delicious! Service was fantastic and we felt the prices were very reasonable! 👍😎

The food was really good, had the steak gnocchi and caprese appetizer. Definitely recommend both. Also, you can tell someone in that kitchen it putting some love into the presentation of the food. Very well done on that! I had the porter that's on tap, can't go wrong there. Took a star based on the the slightly dirty martini my wife ordered that tasted like it had been dragged through the mud. Seriously, the dirtiest martini we've ever tasted. Prices were very reasonable. Fairly unique atmosphere, I liked the one inner wall being the old outer wall of a hardware store. -1 star for the bathroom, it could use a deep cleaning. Very comfortable place to spend an evening overall. The service was weak but for the number of front of house staff taking care of everyone it could have been worse.
