Love the Country Butcher in Groton, MA. Fresh everything! Terrific lunch options, soups, just your small town family owned establishment. They're terrific, and very customer focused.

Country butcher has incredible takeout food. Subs, sandwiches, soups are all great with the Italian sub being a standout! You won’t be disappointed in stopping in!

Great selection of meats and seafood including store marinated meats/roasts plus store made sausages/soup. Also sell Boars Head deli meat and have an extensive selection of spices/seasonings. Delicious store made kabobs in the summer, porchetta and stuffed roasts too in colder months. I’ve been a customer about 10 years and the current owners have taken it to the next level all around. They are knowledgeable about what they sell, make some really creative/delicious items and super friendly. Special ordering available for holidays items throughout the year too. This year, tried their store made red corned beef dinner for St. Patty’s day (sold as a complete cooked dinner for us lazy folks - LOL) with cabbage/potatoes/carrots and was bar none the best corned beef I’ve ever had. Stop in instead of driving by and support a great local small business, you won’t be disappointed.

Don't pass this place by. Beautiful steaks and seafood, but they carry everything from oxtail to chicken and duck legs to ribs and bratwurst to smoked ham hocks and soup bones. You won't be disappointed.

Not only is this place quaint and knowledgeable about their meats, their sandwiches and sodas are wicked tasty, too! I had an Egg Salad, the partner a Chicken Bomb. We each grabbed chips and sodas as well. Keep on doing what you're doing; may you stay for many, many more years!

Great little butcher shop, got an Italian sub someone was getting Chilli while me and my brother were there. It smelled so good had to get a cup, all of our food was absolutely delicious, service was top notch. Definitely will be a regular here from now on!! Thank you country butcher!!

I occasionally visit Country Butcher. Ordered their special sub today, Turkey BBQ sandwich. It was exceptional. They also have a nice selection of their own deli salads and marinated meats.

This area is SO lucky to have this butcher shop! Superb meats and seafood, delicious soups and subs, wonderful staff. Nothing else like it nearby.

I wish I could’ve taken a picture of my steak Bomb sandwich, however I devoured it too quickly to grab a picture. I saw this sandwich posted on Nashoba eats Facebook group, and when I found myself a couple minutes away, I had to try it for myself. The location is a quaint little shop right on Boston Road, I went in before it was busy, and was greeted by the very friendly employees who answered all of my questions. They even have their own selection of craft root beer and other soda. I can only speak to the steak bomb Sub I got, but my God was it sublime. The bread was super soft and all of the mushrooms and onions were blended in well with the steak. During my culinary experience, I did not have one piece of fat in my entire sub. Their prices are also super reasonable, but if you find yourself in the Groton area, make this a must stop.

Superb beef tenderloin. Best in the state. Absolutely exquisite. Superbly cut. Bought it today. Cooked it just now. Dining like royalty tonight. What a treasure for the town of Groton!!

I feel bad for not writing this sooner, but the Country Butcher is absolutely amazing. Why? Well, when you first walk in, you're greeted by the aroma of daily soups that they make. Beyond that they have a healthy portion of meats, fish and cold cuts that you can choose from. The staff is friendly and can turnaround a freshly made sub in no-time. It almost feels like you're walking into an old school Country Store that sells subs. Would I recommend it, of course I would. I'd also recommend trying out the Chicken Bomb and a whole host of other handmade subs on the menu. You will not be disappointed!

This place has an insanely delicious brisket sandwich. Out-of-towner just stopping for lunch and someone recommended Country Butcher. Absolutely fire sandwich would return again in a heartbeat if I'm in the area. Very friendly service and fair prices. Great place highly recommend.

Usually I rave about the country Butcher. Today however I got a Brisket sub & it was completely dried out & a bit over salty too. $9.00 down the drain. UPDATE: 4/10/21 Roast beef sub did NOT taste like boar's Head quality (like it used to!) nor did it have the same texture at all.. I'm completely disappointed I think I'm done.

GB never fails. Experience is always first class. Their soups, sandwiches, and deserts are dynamite. Order a Pochetta, you will not be disappointed. Perfectly cut steaks every time. Oh, I recommend ordering you Christmas prime roast from them as well. Perfect trim on all meats.

Great roast beef sandwich on good bread - not great at wearing masks, but kept distance and had plastic sheeting around the cashier.

This place is the real deal. Great selection from Boar's Head and I don't want to mention the brisket, but I have to! So delicious, smoked on site. I will be back soon!

Have been coming here for years. The food is delicious. Always packed during lunch. Their chili is amazing and I normally am not a chili person. It won the Devens chili cook off back in 2014. Specials change daily. If they have Pork Shoulder available for the day GET IT if you love a juicy, tender, amped up version of ham and cheese. SO good.

Have either gotten the Italian or Steak Bomb every time, and it's always perfect. Nice people, fresh tasting food. Nice variety of in-store sodas as well.

Small, free parking, homemade soups, delish chocolate chunk cookies, prime cuts of steak, dried vac pac herbs, grill, prepared items to go, this store is packed with goodness.

I've had pastrami sandwiches the world over and today"s was the best of all of them! Juicy, succulent and delicious. I saved some for my wife and she nearly wept at the flavor. Seriously.wonderful staff and service. Two suggestions which do not detract from the quality: consider placing a trach container near the picnic table and cleaning the table periodically through the day. A wide assortment of meats, cheeses and spices in the shop as well.

I just moved to the area and was glad to find this place. Great selection of meat and seafood as well as phenomenal made to order sandwiches! I bought a couple briskets, multiple steaks, as well as chicken. Everything was great! I'd would totally recommend stopping by for your BBQ and lunch time needs.

Just got a sandwich and it was very bland. I won’t go back. Not enough sauce or cheese and they burnt the meat.

I cant tell you how many times we've had bbqs where ppl are blown away by the quality of meat and how jealous out pif towners are that we have a local (awesome) butcher. When I wanted to make some beef jerky they were very accomodating too. Nothing but good experiences.

Excellent experience just recently with the Country Butcher's catering menu. Ordered sandwiches, shrimp, and some other hot items (wings and sausages). All very nicely prepared, on time, and reasonably priced. My guests thoroughly enjoyed all the food and asked where we had gotten it.

Everything is fresh and homemade. The eggplant parm dinner is outstanding. All of the employees are ftiendly and helpful

Great little family-run deli/butcher. Excellent meats, and deli items. Very congenial and will cut almost anything you want.

It may be easier to buy your meats and cheeses when you are already at the grocery store, but you won't regret shopping here instead. It fits Groton like a glove.

Huge, excellent roast beef subs - so good, I haven't had anything else from there yet :)
