For starters, the food was very good here, no complaints. The price, however, has skyrocketed! Don't believe the menu they have online. Prices were 30% more than the menu says. Lunch without any sides or even beverage will run you at least $20/person, for small portions.

Delicious! Went on a Thursday and it was surprisingly busy so it took a long time to get our food but it was so worth it! Only downside really is the limited parking.

WOW! What a gem! Absolutely worth the drive from Pace. The food was incredibly delicious and authentic. Staff was very friendly and patient with us as we were undecided with all the menu selections. I have been going here for years. It's definitely authentic and always a good amount of serving. We ordered two on entrees, and it covered us for lunch the next day.

We were looking for an Indian foodplace with specific food ingredients and we found this amazing place. They make very authentic Indian food. We tried their Dal fry, egg bhurji and chilly chicken. All of them were great

Would do well to paint your building back to the color pictured. The current color is off putting for a restaurant, it is more suited for a back alley (smoke den). We gave it a try anyway thinking culturally that the colors were chosen for a traditional Sherpa House. We were so hoping that our experience would have been better so that we can have a new go to for Indian Food. The atmosphere was okay, but the food..... So disappointing! If you were to open a can of tomato sauce and add some chili powder to it and add it to overcooked chicken, you would match what we ordered as Chicken Tikka Masala... The number one menu item in all Indian restaurants. The final price was outrageous as well. Naan was okay. We will not be returning unless some obvious changes take place. Sad to see wasted potential.

This is my second visit. The food is very tasty. Chicken MoMo is one of the best. The environment is good. Goat curry and goat bryani were very tasty too. I recommend this place.

We love Dinner India. This is a hidden gem on the west side of town! Butter chicken, tandoori grill and veggie Kadai are our favorites!

Ate lunch here every Monday for the past few months. They only have a few people working so service can be slow, but the food is always top notch and the portions are great.

The staff is terrific and the food is excellent. My favorite dishes are the Chicken tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo. They have a great selection of different breads that you can have with your meal and even some chai and coffee offerings on the menu.

Edit: This experience was 2 years ago. I see recent positive reviews and can't speak for their food now (you wouldn't catch me dead back at this place), but perhaps they're under new management or I got really unlucky when I went. Just take my review with a grain of salt (something our dishes didn't have....), I didn't know editing it would change the date, but I'm leaving it here simply because it's completely truthful to my experience. UNBELIEVABLY BAD...never been more disappointed anywhere, EVER!! Don't waste your money here, it's like bad cafeteria food AT BEST! Zero salt, zero spice, almost NO flavor....an absolute embarassment to Indian food! My friend is in town and we chose a few restaurants to have what few meals we get to share together while they are here, and we chose Dinner India over Taste of India downtown, for some GOD FORSAKEN reason, I'm not really sure what swayed us this way, but boy do we regret it. Go ANYWHERE but here...it CAN'T be worse. My Chicken Chettinald looks (and almost tastes) like lumpy vomit, or some kind of canned chicken soup at best. My friend's Tikka Masala? It's literally like someone mixed tomato paste with water, dumped it on chicken, and called it Indian cuisine. (I'm not exaggerating, this isn't just me raging....that's ACTUALLY what it tasted like) Both dishes taste like they have NO SALT, OR ANY FLAVOR OF SPICE OR SEASONING WHATSOEVER. Indian food is supposed to EXPLODE in your face with flavor and put American food to shame.....BUT THIS IS LITERALLY JUST FREAKING TOMATO PASTE. YOU JUST CHARGED ME $50 FOR SOME CARDBOARD CHICKEN WITH TOMATO PASTE AND CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP ON IT. IF I WANTED THAT I WOULD HAVE JUST GONE TO WALMART....GIVE ME A BREAK. Seriously, look at my photos. Tell me that doesn't look like a cheap plate of spaghetti that you might give to a child. That is the TIKKA MASALA RIGHT OFF THIS RESTAURANT'S MENU. This shouldn't even be sold at a restaurant as food. I've had less bland food at McDonald's! Even the Mint Chutney tastes like someone just soaked grass in nasty tap water, and it is SWIMMING in it. NOT EVEN JOKING - both of us decided to eat some FROZEN MICROWAVE MEALS we bought at the store earlier because WE KNEW WE WOULD ENJOY THEM MORE. My $4 Butter Chicken by Bombay has 10x more flavor and spice than everything we ordered combined. How pathetic is that? Save yourself money everyone and just buy some frozen curry at the store, it'll be way better than this crap.

Believe the HYPE! We checked this place out on a Saturday evening. It was delish! The chicken vindaloo was outstanding, the service, everything we were very happy. Too bad we aren’t closer, I could eat here once a week.

Don’t change your book by its cover. It’s an older building, but it’s clean and the food is extraordinary The owners who are from the Nepalese side of Indian culture know how to cook Go!

I’ve loved Indian food since the first time I had it decades ago. I tried all Indian restaurants here (3 at the time) and this one was by far the best. I used to make the 40 min drive for their food more often than I want to admit. Luckily, a few years ago they moved buildings so now my drive isn’t quite as long so it makes getting my chicken vindaloo easier. Their food is so flavorful. Portions are great and the service is excellent.

Hidden gem in town of Pensacola for Indian food. Place might not look great from outside but food is really appealing. We had daal tadka, Naan and paneer curry’s and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This guys are true example of small business with big dreams. 👏🏻🎉

As mentioned in other reviews - the parking and the location of this place is not very inviting. Not many people dining in. But people were taking out - to go. We ordered - Paneer dishes , Naan and Fried rice . We waited for a solid 30 mins for our dishes. Paneer dish was fine. But the egg fried rice tasted different and was not able to complete. Based on reviews , We went with an expectation of visiting an authentic Indian restaurant. But during our interaction learnt that it was operated by a Nepali couple...

Wow. Looks abandoned. Looks like I've left the US completely. My husband took me here and I thought he went mad. This is the best Indian food I've ever had. Absolutely amazing!! Must try and keep in mind the food here is actually spicy. So keep your numbers about 2-3 levels down. Don't judge like I did at first. You will miss out!

Awesome, cozy little restaurant with a diverse menu. Food was fantastic, chatinald was incredibly delicious and the vindaloo was probably the best I've had period, not just in the US. Spice level is very customizable, which is awesome. Service was super on point, very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going back to try more of their menu!

Best Indian food I've ever had. I had the shrimp with spinach dish it was delicious, My husband had the lamb and said it was amazing. My daughter had the chicken dish and was very happy with her food, she's kind of picky.

1st time trying Indian Food and i have to say, Dinner India didn't disappoint!! I had the Chicken Vindaloo and the Wife had the Butter Chicken. Both were super tasty and Chicken was tender! If i had a complaint, it would be portion size for the price. Highly recommend to anyone seeking Indian food in the P-Cola area and will be returning customers!! 👌

We pulled in and almost pulled immediately out of the parking lot because of the outward appearance and because of the lack of cars in the parking lot, but after we read reviews on Google that said it was amazing we decided to go ahead and give it a try and that was the right decision!!!! We went for dinner here in December 2022 & it was outstanding, authentic, home style Indian food! The outside looks like I wouldn't touch the place, but after reading other reviews we decided to give it a chance. Glad we did! DELICIOUS! I'm half West Indian, so I know authentic 'Indian' curry. We dined in but I'd do Take Out next time!

Tastiest Indian food in town. Samosa chaat is a must-have appetizer. The kulchi with the nuts was a revelation. Plenty of vegan options too. I love the baigan bharta (eggplant) dish. I come here fairly often and have enjoyed everything. If you're looking for aesthetic, you won't find that here, just damn good Indian food.

Food was okay for the subject of taste. Price too high. Plus, they ask for a tip when you are receiving takeout. They show almost no option to refrain from giving one.

Excellent goat curry. The waiter was attentive and the interior had a warm atmosphere with Indian music videos playing in the background.

I've been to most Indian restaurants in Pensacola and they all pale in comparison to Dinner India. Keep your spice level between a 0 and a 3 out of 10. The lamb curry is tender, the palak paneer is exquisite, the baigan ka bharta is not to be missed...ever!

Food is always consistent and has the spiciest Indian food of all of Pensacola (which is GOOD!) Some other places are very oily but Dinner India is always perfect and has the best dishes. This is my go to Indian food restaurant. Although we usually carry out, they have renovated the place a bit and did a few updates to hold more customers for dining in which is a plus if I ever want to go here with my friends.

I am really not into Indian food. I have been there twice and will go back there again. I decided to try something a little different. The chicken afghani is the best.

Delicious authentic food and music! Wide variety of options on the menu. The chai was delicious! They have a spice scale from 1 to 10 so you can choose how spicy do you want your food to be. Amazing food!

This is the best Indian food in NW Florida! We were sad when they moved farther from us, but we'll gladly take the 45 minute trip on occasion because they really nail the cuisine. Don't let the small space fool you - they do everything right!

The high reviews for this place are well earned. The exterior is unassuming, but the food is some of the best Indian food I've had to date, Pensacola area or otherwise. The wait was not bad, and each dish came out steaming hot and tasted super fresh. Other Indian food restaurants I've been to taste both bland and super processed in comparison to this place. I know it may not look like a place you want to risk from the building, but please give them a chance, you won't regret it!

We lived near a huge Indian community in Ohio and had the choice of many good Indian restaurants with good food. We struggled to find good Indian food here in Pensacola and tried them all! Then, a friend told us to ignore the outside appearance of Dinner India and give it a try. We are glad we did. The food tastes fresh and is very good and way better than the other offerings in the area. Plus the owners/staff are very friendly.

Fabulous food. Outside looks rundown but inside is nice and clean. Tables nicely set. Very authentic. Family run. Had a wonderful chicken dish that had a sweet coconut curry and lamb vindaloo. So many choices it was hard to choose. Highly recommended.

Food was good but service was very slow and barely existent. Our food took about 40 min to come out, and they only had one other table with 2 people busy before us. Their kadhai paneer and chicken curry was amazing. Ambience was ok but we don't care for it much as long as the food and service are good. Please definitely improve your quality and speed of service, we would have come back coz of the food but the wait time is just not worth it. And a bit pricy too.

It was pretty good, albeit much spicier than I am used to. I ordered the Lamb Curry togo with medium heat but even the medium heat is a 11/10 on my “spicy scale” lol. I quickly realized that I do not like food to be spicy simply for the sake of melting my face off/clearing out my sinuses. I tried a few Indian restaurants throughout the northeast and have never experienced heat like this in a dish. I cannot speak to other restaurants in our area as this is my first time trying one though. I’ll try again in the future and ask for no heat or spice on the side to add it myself.
