I been buying donuts in this place for a long time and the donuts are great and it was the best in the city. But after the pandemic, the donuts got smaller and more expensive. I don’t know if they got bought out or change of management. The good old donut place is not the same anymore.

The donuts really are good and would recommend them to anyone. My only complaint is if you don't get there early enough, you are limited to the type of donuts you can get. This has happened to me twice now. I got there at 11 oclock and didn't really have much to choose from. If there were some original glazed donuts, I wouldn't have minded. Paying full price and not having a full selection kind of bothers me. Will definitely return, but will be earlier in the morning!

When we visit the area this is one of our top spots to visit. Donuts melt in your mouth! Wheew!😋😋😋

The clerks never say " thank-you". I don't want to hear " have a nice day" like every store clerk seems to say everywhere. When someone spends and gives you their money, always say "Thank-you, enjoy the doughnut" or something . The doughnuts? They reduced the size and went up in price. I can eat that doughnut in a few small chews now instead of it being a real meal, large and filling. Go up in price but don't shrink the product. Higher prices, smaller doughnut, clerks that can't thank you for that hard-earned consumer dollar that all restaurants are vying for. The doughnut was delicious but small, higher-priced and clerks that forget the golden rule of taking some money...."Thank-you" I will revisit to see if they say "thank-you" soon.

The staff is wonderful and kind. The doughnuts honestly are the best I ever eaten. You can tell they only use the finest ingredients. The fruit doughnuts such as blueberry and strawberry cake doughnuts are full of fresh fruit. The eclairs are the lightest you will ever eat. The uglies and the eclairs are more expensive but delicious. I found out today you can order in advance even the day before. The reason they told me this is it’s hard to get there at sunrise to get the full selection. I have such fond memories of growing up eating these delicious cinnamon twirls at church on Sunday mornings. I have found it very difficult to ever get there early enough through the years so I am very happy to find out you can order in advance and pick up by 1pm. The dozen doughnuts are about the same price you find at chains that aren’t nearly as good.

Been coming here for 7-8 years. The last year the quality of staff has declined so bad that we barely come anymore. Regardless we decided to give it a go this particular morning, only to be dismayed again. The kid taking my order wouldn't even let me pay for a pinch of sprinkles to add to a different style of chocolate donut for my 4 year old. He said, "sorry sprinkles are only for the chocolate frosted with sprinkles". He wouldn't even let me get the sprinkles that were left on the empty tray that had fallen off the previous batch. Basically just seemed and felt like he was gonna do and say whatever to make sure my son didn't get a sprinkle. Lazy? Protocol? To me, it's kind of pathetic. Long gone are the days of sweet old lady's taking your order. Seems like they're only hiring a bunch of young progressives. Fortunately, Jacksonville is now home to several new donut shoppers that are equally as good, better staff and more options and they will accommodate whatever. Parlor Donuts is just one. If you're an Arlington native and supporter like myself, it can be hard to break tradition. However, you won't regret it.

The total G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) when it comes to doughnuts. You may not want to try as every other doughnut you have afterwards will pale in comparison. All the people leaving bad reviews cause they are cash only keep on so I can keep all the goodness for my family.

After not having doughnuts from here for about the last year because of eating cleaner, we bit the bullet and ordered a box. Very disappointed 😞. It's one thing to raise the price, but keep the product the same. It's a whole other to shrink the product AND raise the price.

HANDS DOWN it's the best donut shop in Jacksonville. If you find it difficult to find parking in front, there is plenty of parking in the back of the store.

I'm originally from Mass and had recently moved to Jax during covid and wasn't aware of this hidden gem until I was looking for something local back in 2021, I took a leap of faith and tried a half of dozen 4 of them being Bavarian cream and let me just say 2 of them did not make it home. Since 2022 I have moved back to Mass but here I am, 2024 visiting Jax and I will be making a stop before leaving.

I am updating this because unfortunately the price has gone way up just like everything else but that's not the problem. The last two times I've been I have mysteriously been charged and ungodly amount with no explanation. I sure do wish I had received my receipt this time because two dozen donuts and a bag of munchkins does not add up to $34 . I'm not sure they're good enough to be robbed that badly anymore Love their donuts. Bring cash & go early if you want a selection.

Donuts I had were good, but got there before 8am and the case was 90% gone. I wrongly expected that a place as well known as the donut shoppe would be prepared to handle the business they receive

I live in fort lauderdale florida and when my daughter comes to visit (shel lives in Jacksonville) she always brings your dounuts.now I know that there are donuts hops down here but nothing like yours. PERFECTION. all the filled ones are out of this world. Especially the 🍋 lemon. The tartness is just perfect. I can go on and on ..you just don't find shops like yours every day. Your pastries are made with love and you can tell.We need a shop like yours down here.PLEASE CONSIDER. KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING. DONT CHANGE ANYTHING! I ENJOY EVERY BITE.

The donuts are mid to decent at best. Only worth going to if it close or on the way. The worst part is they are constantly sold out of glazed donuts and glazed donuts holes by 9-10 am, barely half way through their open hours. Whoever manages how many donuts they make should be fired and shamed. You have 1 job and can't do that right. Major oof.

A fellow bus operator introduced me to the donut shop and I was hooked from then on the following weekend I took my father and my mother and my sister for a donut breakfast they thought it was so nice, the next weekend my mother asked me to drop by the donut shop and get two or three dozen for some buddies who was coming over for a meeting that morning it was a smash! Everyone loved it so as we continue to try all the donuts that are in your shop we are constantly adding on to the family the many people who will come by who have asked us about how was your experience with this donut shop and at this point I must say it was excellent superb had not had a donut shop that did this in a while plus my dad likes mechanics so he's always watching how the donuts are made, I myself enjoy just watching the method in which it takes to make the different donuts which they have the big windows so you can see my next outing will be getting all the grandchildren and let them come over to see how the donuts are made I know they will get a kick out of it one thing I just would ask and this is not a complaint whatsoever would you take the time to buy a blower and blow off the leaves of the steps to your business I know it comes from thebusiness that may be next to you trash accumulating and leaves but presentation of course is everything but this is not a complaint whatsoever I will never stop coming to your business just because of that but it will look good Cynthia

Nice clean donut shop good prices and donuts

This used to be the best donut in Jacksonville. After visiting recently, not having done so in a couple years. I found a decent donut that doesn't resemble the glazed donuts of the past. They used to be covered in a thick, flaky glaze and were very, very soft. This is not the case anymore. I know it changed hands, but I assumed they would keep the same recipe. High price and cash only is also a turn-off.

We all know this place wins!! The doughnuts are 10/10. Please note- the later you go, the less options are available and they do close when they sell out. It's frustrating that it's 2024 and they only take cash. 🤦 There is an ATM in the building but there is a fee to use it.

The Donut shop has the best apple fritters that I have ever ate.

First let me say I always stop here and grab donuts before heading home. This time will probably be my last, I LOVE these donuts however was sooo dissappointed with the size of the donuts. They were so little compared to how they use to be but still the same price. I am all about supporting small businesses but can’t do here anymore. Raise your price some if you need to make more profit instead of minimizing your product. $10 for 1/2 dozen donuts that the size has been cut in half , is a no go for me.

Everyone is always very nice and friendly. Service is fast and as always their Donuts are ALWAYS soft, fresh, and full of flavor each and every time you visit.

When people say to get there early, 8am isn’t early enough. I saw people going in to pickup call in orders so i’ll definitely try that next visit. We ended up with only the original glazed which are to die for. Served warm and taste great even 2 days later. Don’t forget cash!!

Believe it or not, this was the best donuts I have had in Jacksonville, so simple yet soooo delicious! The staff was very helpful and amazing. The place was packed but they move the line very quickly. I recommend ordering in advance and pick up your order because they run out of things very quickly.

I have tried most of the popular donuts shops around town. This is hands down the best one in Jacksonville. It also has the best apple fritter I ever tried. You can actual taste the apple in it and is not overtly sweet. Bonus is that it is very reasonably priced.

Limited supply that goes fast, but it's extremely good quality and tasting. Before noon they only had 2 out approximately 20, and in the time I ate my purchase, they sold out. At least their claim to quality is confirmed!

Greeted by a very friendly young man who I told all about growing up on his donuts. He was pleased and conversing politely ~not bored or looking at his phone! He advised me on selections and thanked me kindly for coming in. This is a cash only store and you DO need to arrive early. The quality is beyond compare!! Apple chunks in the fritters were huge! Cinnamon swirls to die for and real chocolate icing rather than a sugary coating facsimile . Soooo worth getting up early for!! I heard that they are starting to take some out on coffee food trucks now! Since I live in St.Augustine, that drive is not one I can do every day. Highly recommended

Best Donuts in town. See awards on Wall. Get there early for Bavarian Creme. Try the Blueberry 2 kinds and the lemon. Coconut is very packed with shredded coconut.

Finally made it to The Donut Shoppe. Fast and friendly service. A dozen of donuts is 13.50, they only accept cash. The glaze donut is fried to perfection. Not overly sweet...just right. I will definitely be back.

Family says they’re good, didn’t get to try since they ONLY take cash. No signs. Didn’t know until it was time to ring up. Atm in store only dispenses in increments of twenty and the fee was stupid and not worth it. Not their fault just a missed opportunity. I just wanted a donut 🥲
